Bapi for creating message type in a sales order

Hi, I am involved in a IS-MAM project for an italian company.
I need to create or add a message output type in a sales order in a complex batch program. I thought to use a bapi technicality; in particular BAPI_ADMGMTSO_CHANGE in order to change the document.
How can I create message type in the order? Can I use the same bapi or I need of an other one?

You can use 'BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE' for the purchase requisition creation if through transaction, you use transaction ME51N for creating the purchase requisition.

Bapi BUPR_RELATIONSHIP_CREATE does not allow for maintaining sales area data (Sales org, distribution channel, division).

I am actually looking for the same functionality. Were you able to find a solution although no one replied to your question in this thread? If so, it would be very helpful for me to know. Maybe you have to combine more BAPIs in order to add the organization information to the relationship. But I have no idea how.

SAP telling below reason why we are creating message type
"A message type comprises a data type that describes the structure of a message. For technical reasons, a data type alone is not sufficient to describe the instance of a message: Data types are defined in XML Schema as abstract types that are not yet tied to an element. You can only describe an instance of a message when you have specified a data type as an element type. Therefore, a message type defines the root element of a message"

i just find
BAPI_ACTIVITYTYPEGRP_CREATE
for create activity group
but i do not find the bapi for create the activiy type
which bapi is for create activiy type
if the sap does not supply this bapi
wich method to create the activity type (i know shdb can do it)

Hello Sarath,
As mentioned by Siva in the above the table name is TVAK but if you are a functional guy then you should go by the functional assignment.We are assigning the default billing type in Tcode= VOV8.
All sales document control you can find over here.
Needless to mention this Billing type you are assigning over here is auto proposed during billing in VF01. But you have option to choose another billing type in VF01 itself considering you have maintained the Copy Control for that.

We are sending an outbound Idoc of message type DESADV. We would like to trigger 2 Idocs per Shipping Notification.

Each output partner can have it's own output. Also for the same message type. Maybe the 2 DESADV IDOC's are sent to different partners or destinations. But even when not you still can define 2 different output partners for the message type. Then 2 outputs will be triggered for the same message type.

BAPI for Creating a PM order(iw34) with reference to a Notification

Hi All,
Could anyone help to find the BAPI for creating a PM order with reference to a notification Number.
I will explain my requirement :
I want to create a notification from an external Application where i got the BAPI BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CREATE and keeping this created notification number as Referece or for this notification number i need a create a PM order.Usually this process in done transaction IW34 in R/3.
But with the BAPI BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN i can create a PM order but this BAPI doesn't have a input parameter "Notification number ".So i can't use this BAPI.
Could any suggest for a BAPI where i can create a PM order with reference to a Notification Number.

And even have a doubt what to enter in this input parameter "GEWRK_OBJTYP" .

I try to use BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT,
but seems that BAPI only for retail.

Can anyone please let me know the bapi for creating outbound delivery.I have checked for few bapi's like
BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_SAVEREPLICA
BAPI_DELIVERPROCESSING_EXEC
If i use the first one i would like to know whether i need to do the PGI seperately by using any bdc or is it taken care in the same bapi.
Its basically for the workflow task werein we have all the required parameters like delivery numb, sales order num ...etc
Iam new to BAPI's.Please consider my request and let me know the details for the same.

How to find function module or Bapi for particular transaction in sap?
If you mean that you need to know what BAPI's a particular tranx uses, which I can only assume that's what you mean, then you should access the code behind the transaction and search for 'CALL'. That normally is the standard method that think that most people use.
Suppose you want to find the bapi for creating a sales order, you usually use transaction VA01 for this.
1. Find out the package of the transaction.
Start Va01 go to system --> status.
Double click on transaction
Package is VA
Open this package in SE80
Open business engineering-->Business object types
Find the BO which sounds the most appropriate
I would suggest BUS2032 Sales Order
Double click.
Open methods.
Find the released method with from data or something similar in the name
, Createfromdat2
Position the cursor in it and click the program button
Scroll down to find the bapi used in this method
With this way you can also find out programs and FM's
2. Start va01 go to system-->status
Double click transaction VA01
Double click on package
Read the application component. (this is SD-SLS Sales)
Then open the transaction BAPI
Sales and distribution>Sales>sales order
createfromdat2
Answer: This is the BAPI for your mentioned transaction code BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE.

IDoc Error: No recipient found for IDoc message type in the ALE model...

Hello Experts,
I just created an IDoc for purchase orders and when I try to test it after releasing
the PO, an error is shown in the processing log saying that there are no recipients
found for my message type of the IDoc. I refrenced it against a working IDoc but I might be
missing something.

in bd64 ,goto change mode select ur distribution model and click add message type define ur logical systems and message type and save.
thn goto environment - partner profiles - f 8.it will show whether model is created or any errors.
then go back edit - model view - distribute.

There is a transaction code for link the message type to the idoc type using the T.code we82.
There we can assign the our own message type and Idoctype (basic type) we can assign. If u want to extension the basic type we have the option and we must release it.
