I am developing report in which output will be in Basic list (Using only write statement).
my requirement is to provide some type of navigation or any other way to maintain values in Z TABLE which is master table for this table.
Please help me .

For that you have to use set pf-status statement.
when sy-ucomm
case 'lv_ucomm'.

Hi Abhishek,
There are three things related to Query.
1) You have to create the USER GROUP in SQ03.
2) You have to create the Infoset in SQ02. In this infoset you can write the logic of the program/Query what ever you want to perform.So you can sort the table in the infoset in the program logic.you have to create the output table of the query.
3) you have to create the Query in SQ01 and you have to associate the User group and infoset . you have to design the layput of the output you want to have.this output fields would be same as you have defined in infoset(step 2).

Hyperlink on field in Basic list of ABAP Query

Dear All,
Could somebody tell me, if its possible to have a hyperlink on a field in the Basic list of ABAP Query (SQ01,SQ02).
Example :- There is a basic list which has the field MARA-MATNR displayed.There should be a hyperlink on this field, such that when the user clicks on it , the transaction MM03 is called.

    check not itab-matnr is initial.
    set parameter id 'MAT' field itab-matnr.

This is one example to call the transaction.

SAP Query: Display Selection Fields in the header page of Basic list

Hello,
I have to display the selection fields in the header page of the basic list and statistics
in a SAP Query.
I know the usage of short names for fields in the header page, but this doesn't work
for the selection fields.
How can I display the selection fields in header pages?

Header & Footer in Basic list of infoset Query.

Dear Experts,
In an Infoset Query, I have been trying to make use of the Header & Footer Features (available in the Basic list screen) for quite sometime, but with no success.
Even though I add these, they do not appear in the list output.
Please throw some light of knowledge in this regard.

The Header & Footer text in the Basic list of Query will only be shown in the "ABAP List". Not sure if you are are looking at the Header & Footer text in SAP List Viewer.

Firstly declare a select-option for material number.
write a select query specifying the required field and specify a where clause
as
WHERE MATNR IN S_MATNR.
Obviously you will select the records into internal table and so loop that internal table and display the records...
The records will be displayed on the basic list.

Basic list in ALV report

Hi,
can someone please tell me how/where I can change the sort criteria and displayed columns of the basic list in an ALV report (e.g. S_ALR_87011963)? Our test and development systems seem to have different settings here. No layout has been created or defaulted. I just want the basic list to be the same in both systems. Then the users can create their own layouts as well, but the basic list should be the same.

Hi, This report seems to be a report painter/writer, Request you to check with your functional consultant and also check transaction GR* (GR51 to GR55 etc,,) to see if something can be changed.

Astericks appearing in place of a particular value in basic list ????

I am outputting values thru a basic list, but the system is outputting ' *********** ' (Astericks) in place of the value. I have increased the length while outputtin on a basic list but to no avail. What can be the reason?

Select List (query based LOV) in a wizard created report form

I have created an updatable report form with 3 columns:
app_id
user_id
group_id
Each app_id has multiple group_id's associated with it, and I want to show the group_id field as a Select List (query based LOV) that contains the groups associated with the app_id.
My query for the select list needs to be similar to the following:
SELECT DISPLAY_NAME, GROUP_ID
FROM APPLICATION_GROUPS
WHERE APP_ID = ?????
ORDER BY 1
The problem is, I don't know how to reference the app_id from the main report to replace the ?????.
In other words, if my report returns 2 rows of data like this:
app_id----------user_id----------group_id
1-----------------24------------------3
2-----------------24------------------15
Then how do I get the group_id column to be a select list of possible groups for each application? If app_id 1 has 3 groups associated with it, 3, 4, & 5 and app_id 2 has 2 groups associated with it, 15 & 16, then those each of the select lists should be based on the app_id.

Thanks for the response, but I don't think you quite understand my problem. If I go to the Column Attributes screen for the group_id field, I have the "Display As" drop down set to "Select List (query based LOV)", not "Select List (named LOV)". This requires that the sql query be written in the "List of values definition" text area below. Within that text area I have the following query:
SELECT DISPLAY_NAME, GROUP_ID
FROM APPLICATION_GROUPS
WHERE APP_ID = ?????
ORDER BY 1
The APP_ID that I need to reference is for the current row of data that is being processed. Therefore, I can't use a :PNNN_APP_ID variable, because that field does not exist on the page.

Iam preparing Z report for BOM display of FG and SFG materials.
Iam displaying the Basic List using the MAST table. Here i double click on the material no.
Here iam using the function module :CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 for fetching the data from STPOX structure ,here i want to link material no. which has been from basic list and the above said function module.
Can anybody provide the solution for the above said linking in ALV interactive report.
Please treat it very urgent as this report is to be presented on high priority.

All my reports are throwing below error in a sharepoint site configured with Access services. Does anyone have a clue what's causing it?
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)

For troubleshooting your issue, please go to C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\ find your Web Application (represented by a port number), then delete an unknown folder created by sharepoint, namely vti_cnf from all the folders and sub-folders in
your web application.

Query based on a dropdown list (query)

I have a dropdown list (populated with data from a query)

Now I want to show on the webpage all articles which are part of the article-group that I have selected from the above mentioned list (query)
Which parameter do I have to use in the query which follows :

Sorry, I don't have the time to script it for you. As I said before, you need to submit the form and use a URL parameter to display the result. This is the same principle as any filtered recordset.
Put your drop-down list in a form with the method set to GET.
In the second recordset, use the name of the drop-down menu as a URL parameter to filter the SQL query. (See the following Help page: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/dreamweaver/cs/using/WSc78c5058ca073340dcda9110b1f693f21-799da .html).

i have a problem with Select list (query based LOV)
when run tabular form i have the following error:
report error:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
the number of rows of the Lov are 900
the display variable is 70 char
is there any limit?

Character string buffer too small (select list query based LOV)

Hi,
Using the select list query based LOV with a select witch is too big, you get this error.
report error:
ORA-20001: Error fetching column value: ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
When using the Popup LOV query based LOV) then it works nice.
Can that be solved somehow?
With the Popup LOV the return value is displayed in stead of the description.

Example : I have

Table 2 is a long list , and I'm getting string buffer too small due to this.
Your suggestion with HTP is good but I'm not sure how to implement it for reports as I'll like the user to change the values with the select_list.
I'm not using forms as they want mulit-record on the same page.

Tabular form (select list Query based LOV)

I have this situation:
a tabular form with two "select list (query based LOV)" fields.
The first one must affect elements in the second one. And so the second query based LOV field should has a "where attr1 = first_list_selected_value" in the query.
Is this possible ? Could you show me some advices ?

I need cascading LOV for each row of my tabular form.
I have a EMP tabular form

"EMPNO",
"ENAME",
"JOB",
"MGR",
"HIREDATE",
"SAL",
"COMM",
"DEPTNO"
from "#OWNER#"."EMP" I need a Select List for DEPTNO for each record of table. After set a value, the second "Select List" for ENAME should be affected automatically.
