Basic Text Encoder/Decoder help

Hi. I'm trying to make a Encoder/Decoder for a program to make the gamesaves safer, since they are in a .dat file and can be changed in Notepad. I was wondering if the Text can be Encoded (like a=l, b=m, ect) and decoded using a simple code before the UTF is written.

Ok, now I have a bit of a problem. I am trying to at least read the hash using readByte(), but the hashes are different. This is the code I'm using:

     }Now, I may be reading the file wrong. I know the hash has a length of 16, but if I try to read 16 bytes, I get an EOFException. And, if it's possible, I would like to know how to read an Byte[ ], and not just a Byte.

  • Mp3 tag viewer with text encoding/decoding purpose

    I'm want suggest some idea:
    Let assume that we have many mp3 files with cyrillic or some else non ascii tags in different encodings. And let assume that each file may have several encodings (eg cp1251 for album and utf-8 for title). Programs like EasyTag is not convenient for such case.
    So idea: draw all tags for many files in simple table and decode what you want on the fly, independently for field, not whole file.
    ps I'm not like a programmer or so, so i dont know should i start new project or not. Here on my hands some very first script in python, pyqt, tagpy, chardet.

    Because of zero attention for such idea in this topic and because i finally remove my messed up collection of music i decide to drop this git.
    PS. this program is just little sample end if no one is reply for idea and if it even doesn't need for me anymore creating is impossible. that's all : )

    The use of iMessage depends on both the sender and the receiver having an active data connection. If either of the two connections are interrupted, the message can fail. The sending of an iMessage differs from the sending of an SMS, and if you are having SMS failures, that would be a carrier concern.

    I am using the utf-8 for encoding...do I need to decode it and how?

    Split the webpage into two frames.
    Frame1: Dropdown that you will dynamically populate. This will have to be coded using http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/09/9c0e41a346ef6fe10000000a1550b0/content.htm.
    Next insert java script into your page so that when one of these links is selected, specifically the onChange event, the other frame gets refreshed with the webpage that you would like to have. This page gives a good example of onChange.

  • Audio/Video encode & decoding

    I am very new to mac environment,
    and have a background as a linux developer. I worked mostly with avcodec and avformat api's (from ffmpeg project) to manipulate media. I could reach media devices/streams using oss, alsa, v4l or v4l2 interfaces/drivers and encode/decode them with avcodec API. Now I switched to mac and I want to get audio/video frames from input devices and encode/decode them as I want. I already took a look at QTkit and QT related topics but there is no codec variation and also no control of frames which has taken from input device/file. There is no flexibilty with almost just one way to encode media (h264 and AAC, with predefined bitrates). I am using snow leopard with Xcode 4 so AVfoundations is avaliable just for IOS env. and not for Mac environment.
    I can not find any detailed media encoding/decoding document or usable(flexible) framework in mac developer central. Please help me to find or give me some advice about mac environment.

    First of all thank you xnav. But I already searched for AVFoundations and related sample sources. I do not want to change my operating system and I do not want to believe that MacOS has not got a framework embracing the media related functions at all before Lion. As I mentioned in the text above I am using snow leopard.
    By the way I want to reach full control over media streams/frames and codec parameters. I want to be able to decode media stream/frame if it is encoded (for example: a web cam streaming jpeg captures using hw codec) I want to decode and resize it, maybe view it in a frame and encode it again and store it in a file or directly stream over rtsp. Is it possible ? Does't Apple have such a framework which I can find in open source environment easily (for example: ffmpeg - avcodec - avformat - avdevice). Device/driver level tools and codecs can be inside different frameworks but there must be some tools for it.

  • Mail Text Encoding Options Missing

    For some reason, the Message -> Text Encoding pull-down menu in my Mail has only one option -- "Automatic". All other options are missing. Thus I am here seeking for help.
    All the information I've found told me that I should go to the International Pref Pane, choose Language, click the Edit List button and choose the languages I want. I did so, and there are indeed several languages in the list. Still, the pull-down menu in Mail shows no options at all, only "Automatic".
    Does anyone know what went wrong? Is some file corrupted in some way?

    I deleted com.apple.mail.plist (in fact I it them to another location so I can restore it in case things go wrong) and re-launched Mail. This time I got all the menu options that should be there. I had to re-create all the mail accounts, but the saved emails were not lost.

  • How to get the result of auto detecting of text-encoding in HTML component.

    I just run in to the wall.
    I've hard that a HTML component automatcally detect the text-encoding of a HTML page loaded,
    and it supposed to be detected through Binary data of its HTML source code.
    I wonder, if there is any variable or function to get the detected text-encoding like UTF-8, iso-8859-1 or something like that.

  • Text encoding with non english characters

    I'm trying to publish a site in Swedish, a language with 3 extra characters (Ö, Ä, Å). When I try to publish the site I keep getting a 404 error from my ftp server. I have check the site folder contents with webmeastro and it says that the characters are not MacRoman. What text encoding does iWeb 08 use, and how can I get around this problem?

  • Problems running basic text in aftereffects faster than 19fps... what exactly do I need?

    OK, so I finaly upgraded my computer into the mild 21st century, and to my disapointment, I cannot seem to run anything as smoothly as I had thought.
    These are the specs for my computer...
    ASUS m5a99x EVO motherboard
    8 gigs ddr3 1600 ram
    NVIDIA 9800gt 1 gig ddr3 gpu
    AMD Phenom II x4 B50 Processor at 3.2ghz (IE its an AMD athlon II 450 X3 3.2ghz with its fourth core unlocked (of which i have had no problems with thus far, as it seems to be very stable)
    150 gig 7200 sata 2 harddrive (OLD)
    200 gig 5400 sata 2 hard drive (OLD AS SH*T)
    300ghz portable usb2 hd (7200) (2 years old)
    Basicly, I cant seem to run even basic text in after effects faster than 19 FPS.
    I've tried to change the resolution to half, and even a fourth, and that didnt work at all, infact it made it run about 1 frame worse.
    I tried changing the Open gl texture memory, raising and lowering, but to no avail, Ive changed the ram usage in after effects to use 2 gigs per core, then one gig, then turned off multiframe rendering alltogether, and nothing.
    I feel like ive tried everything in my power.
    Now the Imacs at my school, they run the program smooth as hell... and they arent that much better, spec wise than my computer.
    Even my friends Imac can run it smooth, and he only has an I5 cpu at 2.4ghz, which is fine and my understanding of cpus is that those are better proccessors, but its not that much better, and even still, why would that be neccesary just to run text scrolling accross the screen?
    Even more so, why would changing the resolution not have any effect?
    What exactly do I need to run after effects smoothly for a basic text scroll at say, 720P?
    I need to know what to upgrade, soon I plan to get cs6 and I would like to have a computer that can edit basic HD properly.
    What I realy dont get is that I know people with laptops that are running AE smoothly and these are much worse than the specs on my machine, some even with only 4 gigs of ram...
    Is there something wrong, do I have some sort of frame limiter thats capping at 19 fps? is there some sort of memory leak?
    Any help would be much apreciated.
    Now the only thing I can think of thats holding me back is the crappy hard drives, every thing else seems like it should at least run text on after effects at 30 fps.

    BTW, I am running the project off of the portable, I switched from the old, but faster harddrive that was sata2 to the portable given I thought that might increase the speed, which it didnt.
    what I might do is crack the case and just plug it straight into the computer, though I am hesitant to do so as if I were going to do that, I might as well just purchase a usb 3.0 one and do that so i can get sata 3 out of it, since those cases dont exactly just snap back together.
    When I say basic text, I mean layered text, just word after word in order. I honestly dont have any plugins that I know of, (if I had the money for them I would have spent it on a better computer probably) so what I have is what came with the master collection.
    And when I say 19 FPS I mean spacebar...
    NOW I KNOW, that Im not garunteed 30 fps when running the preview, but when I use the mac, it previews fine... and i just looked up my CPU in comparison to the I5 in the IMAC that I was refering to, and mine is actualy faster according to some benchmarks, granted its not faster than the vast majority of I5s and I7s, but the particular ones in the computers I was refering to, mine is actualy faster over all, so I figure its not a CPU thing (unless its a -our software only works right on INTEL- thing).
    Now as far as the 3d camera, yes I am using it, but even when I run the text without a camera function (ie the thing that you have in your comp) or any sort of 3d layering it runs just as slow.
    The Audio might be a problem, I used to have a soundcard, but that died about a year ago so I have been using onboard sound (realtek HD something) which truly sucks in comparison to a proper sound card, but I cant imagine the IMACs have anything better, I mean the sound from the Imac kinda sucks alltogether, dosent even have any sort of virtual surround... But a driver issue it could be, realtek is kind of ghetto in that regard.
    I will try some of the tips above (the open gl and the preview output and such), and thank you very much.

    OK, so I did the OpenGL thing, removed it, and for a brief few secconds, it started to run at a mix of 25 to 30 fps, then, when I went to play it again, it was back at 19.

  • Script/Automator action/CSS to change text encoding?

    As an expat Israeli, I read an Isareli newspaper online every day. Most pages on their site <http://www.haaretz.co.il> display fine with the text encoding set to Default. Some, though, forget that Hebrew is written right-to-left, and insist on displaying everything backwards, which makes it a bit hard to read.
    To get such a page to display correctly I need to change the text encoding to Hebrew (Windows). However, it gets a bit boring to go to the View menu, scroll down to Text Encoding, then scroll down again to Hebrew (Windows), especially when I have to do it several times a day.
    So, I thought automating this procedure would be the way to go. Problem is I cannot find either Automator actions or Applescript Dictionary items that relate to text encoding.
    Skating on thinner ice, I think a style sheet could help tell Safari to display a page with the right text encoding, but:
    1. I have no idea how to write such a style sheet.
    2. When I looked at the source HTML of a page that displays correctly, and one that doesn't, I find that both include the following tags:
    charset=windows-1255 (inside a larger META tag), and
    <META HTTP-EQUIV="CONTENT-Language" CONTENT="he">
    These are the tags that, I thought, would allow me to distinguish between a "good" page and a "bad" one. But if both contain the same tags...
    Any ideas on how I can automate this text encoding switch?

    I don't see how a windows browser could display it correctly either. Win-1255 has to be logical order, and they probably have some guys composing articles in visual order and then copy/pasting them into the Win-1255 pages without paying attention.

  • Base 64 Encode/Decode

    I consider sending clear text problematic when the data ends
    up as XML information. Converting the text Strings to Base 64
    between PHP and Flex 2 (or anything else and Flex 2) eliminates
    issues with character text like <> and &'s. I've done a
    lot of XMLRPC coding and always sent text data values that are Base
    64 format. The built in Flex 2 Base 64 functions make this easier.
    On the PHP side, you can use

    $stringData = base64_decode ( $b64StringVal );
    to convert.

  • Running mac OS 10.5.8, Using Mail 3.5, Text encoding set to Automatic. messages arrive, but the message is 200  lines of alphanumerics. Top says Content-Type: text/plain;      charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64.

    I use Mail 3.6 and some incoming email messages start with

    then go on to 200+ lines of alphanumerics (mostly upper and lower case letters). 
    What causes this problem, how can I fix it?
    Text encoding is set to Automatic, and  I'm not using any fancy fonts.  Senders are usually
    sending from PCS that may well use Outlook.

    I need to encode/decode the a file with the help of the above definition file. I tried using JavaAsn1Compiler, this compiler fullfill all my requirments except the one GraphicString type is not supported in this compilier.

    The java API does not contain anything for ASN.
    Everything outside of the Java API would be consider third party.
    So either explain exactly what it is that you want without using the term "third party" or recognize that what you are asking does not exist.

    Under text object PCAT_ITM, I’ve defined a text determination procedure with “changes=C” and “Transfer Type=C” associated to an access sequence which has PRODUCT as ref. object and BASE as ref. text type. On assignment of fields I have the key fields PRODUCT_GUID and TDSPRAS where the first one has PRODUCT_GUID defined as comm. field and the second has this field empty.
    The text determination procedure is associated to my catalog type.
    After this configuration I make an initial replication and I can see the different text types for each product but the text is empty.
    Does any one know what I am doing wrong?

    If you're working with B2B - You want catalog/ProductsISAHeader.jsp
    If you're working with B2C - You want catalog/ProductsB2CHeader.jsp
    Look in the source code for something like
