  • [NEWBIE] basic config.xml

    Hi Experts,
    I'm just really new to the ISA framework and I have a simple question.
    I have the following below in config.xml:
              <action path="/b2b/init" type="com.sap.isa.core.InitAction" validate="false">
                   <forward name="success" path="/b2b/coreinit.do"/>
                   <forward name="sessionLogging" path="/admin/sessionLogging.do"/>
                   <forward name="heartbeat" path="/admin/heartbeat.jsp"/>
              </action>
              <action path="/b2b/coreinit" type="com.sap.isa.isacore.action.IsaCoreInitAction">
                   <forward name="success" path="/user/performLogin.do"/>
                   <forward name="darklogin" path="/user/performLogin.do"/>
              </action>
    Can you please tell me what happens here?
    If I go to the URL: https://localhost:50001/myapp/b2b/init.do
    1. How will InitAction know if it goes to success or suessionLogging or heartbeat?
    2. How will IsaCoreInitAction know if it goes to success or darklogin?
    3. Where can I find the action of /user/performLogin.do ?
    Thank you sirs/madams.

    Hi Jemaru,
    If you are using NWDS then try to open code by pressing 3 keys together  CTRLSHIFTT it will open Open Type box and here you can type InitAction or IsaCoreInitAction and open source file.
    You can put break point and run Application in debug mode. to see how control is passing in each class.
    Answer for your questions...
    1. How will InitAction know if it goes to success or suessionLogging or heartbeat?
    Open InitAction in NWDS put break point inside first line of perform method and then run debug and run application on your local. It will give you an idea how process happens line by line. There are so if and else so it depends on your XCM settings.
    2. How will IsaCoreInitAction know if it goes to success or darklogin?
    Do same as described for 1. Here put break point in doPerform method in IsaCoreInitAction
    3. Where can I find the action of /user/performLogin.do ?
    You can open project crmtcwebuser~sap.com in NWDS. Open WEB_INF folder. You will find config_user.xml file.
    You will able to find below lines.
    <!-- entry points -->
              <action path="/performLogin" forward="/relogin/setcookie.do?forward=success"/>
              <action path="/performLogoff" forward="/logoff.do"/>
    ISA application use many other configuration XML file other then config.xml
    You can find all those other XML files name in web.xml file.
    Below are lines from web.xml file
    <init-param>
                <param-name>config</param-name>
                <param-value>/WEB-INF/config.xml,/WEB-INF/xcmadmin-config.xml,/WEB-INF/ccmsims-config.xml,/WEB-INF/ipc-config.xml,/ipc/customer/config.xml,/WEB-INF/config_lwc_b2b.xml,/WEB-INF/scheduler-config.xml,/WEB-INF/ipcpricing-config.xml</param-value>

            </init-param>

                <param-value>/WEB-INF/xcm/sap/system/init-config.xml</param-value>

  • Basic servlet/xml type question

    Hi,
    I have an existing servlet that reads two numbers from a deployment descriptor (web.xml) but i need to modify it so that it displays all the numbers between the two existing numbers in the D. D.
    this is the exisitng servlet:
    response.setContentType("text/html");
              PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
              // Grab the Parameters from the web.xml file
              String fn = getInitParameter("firstnumber");
         String ln = getInitParameter("lastnumber");
    out.println("<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>ServletContext Init Params</TITLE></HEAD>");
    out.println("<BODY><H1>the numbers are ");
         out.println(fn + " " + ln + "</H1></BODY></HTML>");

    Hi,
    You should use XMLAGG, to get everything into a single XML element. And DON'T use extract()!!
    Something like:
    SQL> declare
       xml   xmltype;
    begin
      with data as
        (select 0 grp, 'g1' grp_name, 'A' item_name, 'XX' item_desc from dual union all
         select 0    ,  'g1' grp_name,'B'          , 'XY'           from dual union all
         select 0    ,  'g2' grp_name,'B'          , 'XY'           from dual union all
         select 0    ,  'g3' grp_name,'B'          , 'XY'           from dual union all
         select 1    ,  'g1' grp_name,'B'          , 'Y'            from dual)
    -- end of test data
         select xmlagg(xmlelement("GRP"
                                 ,xmlagg(xmlelement("ITEM_NAME", item_name))
                                 ,xmlagg(xmlelement("item_desc", item_desc))))
           into xml
           from data
       group by grp, grp_name, item_name;
       dbms_output.put_line(dbms_lob.getlength(xml.getclobval()));
    end;

  • Very basic SQL/XML question

    I'm using the following environment:
    Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Product
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    CORE 10.2.0.1.0 Production
    TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    However, I don't think my environment is the issue.
    I'm trying to get output which looks like this from a simple table:
    <MAXDOMAIN action="S">
         <DOMAINID key="true">domainid_data</DOMAINID>
         <SYNONYMDOMAIN type="relationship" action="AU" >
              <VALUE key="true">value_data</VALUE>
              <MAXVALUE>maxvalue_data</MAXVALUE>
              <DESCRIPTION>description_data</DESCRIPTION>
              <DEFAULTS>defaults_data</DEFAULTS>
         </SYNONYMDOMAIN>
    </MAXDOMAIN>The table looks like this
    Name                           Null     Type
    DOMAINID                       NOT NULL VARCHAR2(30)
    DESCRIPTION                             VARCHAR2(50)
    DOMAINTYPE                              VARCHAR2(5)
    MAXTYPE                                 VARCHAR2(5)
    LENGTH                                  VARCHAR2(5) The real question is how do I get an element with attributes to also have content.
    <DOMAINID key="true">domainid_data</DOMAINID>and
    <VALUE key="true">value_data</VALUE>I'm not sure if I'm syntactically challenged or just not using the correct tags.
    If I try to just generate the first two tags, forgetting the following nesting, I'm OK, as long as I don't try to assign attributes to the DOMAINID tag:
    SELECT  XMLELEMENT
    ("MAXDOMAIN",XMLATTRIBUTES('S' AS "action"),XMLELEMENT(NAME DOMAINID, "DOMAINID")
    AS "RESULT"
    FROM FAC_MAXDOMAIN;This works and is pretty trivial.
    <MAXDOMAIN action="S"><DOMAINID>AIRFLOWTYPE</DOMAINID></MAXDOMAIN>
    etc, etc...However, this:
    SELECT  XMLELEMENT
    ("MAXDOMAIN",XMLATTRIBUTES('S' AS "action"),XMLELEMENT(NAME DOMAINID, "DOMAINID",XMLATTRIBUTES('true' AS "key"))
    AS "RESULT"
    FROM FAC_MAXDOMAIN;Yields an ORA-00907: missing right parenthesis error.
    Any ideas? maybe a good primer on SQL/XML might be the best solution...
    TIA,
    Paolo

    Very nice for a first post in terms of data included and formatting.
    It took me a few minutes to see it, but the simple answer is you are putting the XMLAttributes in the wrong location. See the XMLElement spec at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14200/functions220.htm#SQLRF06168 that shows XMLAttributes comes between the identifier and value. So that means you should have written it as
    Connected to Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.6.0
    SQL> WITH FAC_MAXDOMAIN AS
      2  (SELECT 'domainid_data' domainid, 'dscr' description,
      3          'type' domaintype, '10' maxtype, '5' length
      4     FROM dual)
      5  -- Using WITH so didn't have to create your table locally
      6  SELECT  XMLELEMENT("MAXDOMAIN",
      7            XMLATTRIBUTES('S' AS "action"),
      8            XMLELEMENT(NAME DOMAINID, XMLATTRIBUTES('true' AS "key"), "DOMAINID")
      9          )
    10  AS "RESULT"
    11  FROM FAC_MAXDOMAIN;
    RESULT
    <MAXDOMAIN action="S"><DOMAINID key="true">domainid_data</DOMAINID></MAXDOMAIN>

  • Getting ORA-22805 when trying to load XML file using SQLLDR

    I'm trying to learn the basics of XML since we'll be getting XML files in the near future. I'm using one of the sample schemas that comes with XMLSPY. I loaded this schema into an 11g Oracle DB using XMLSPY:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!-- edited with XML Spy v4.0 NT beta 1 build Jun 13 2001 (http://www.xmlspy.com) by Alexander Falk (Altova, Inc.) -->

         </annotation>
         <!-- include address constructs -->

         <element name="purchaseOrder" type="ipo:PurchaseOrderType"/>
         <element name="comment" type="string"/>
         <complexType name="PurchaseOrderType">

    The load fails with:
    Record 1: Rejected - Error on table PURCHASEORDER.
    ORA-22805: cannot insert NULL object into object tables or nested tables
    Another question I have is, how do we know how many records (0's) to specify in the control file? In this case there's only one but when real files are used we won't know how many are in the file.
    Thanks for your help!

    The concept was "Don't use SQL*Loader to parse XML".
    You can use SQL*Loader to load an entire XML document into the DB. That is fine. You can do the same via BFILENAME to read in files from disk as well.
    If you want to parse XML, do that from within Oracle via PL/SQL and/or SQL. The solution depends upon your version of Oracle and what is good enough for you in terms of performance.
    So the basics are
    a) How am I getting the information?
    b) How am I getting in into Oracle?
    c) How do I want to parse it?
    As I see the schema, it only allows for one ipo:purchaseOrder node in the document, since that is the root node. If you have multiple in the incoming file, you no longer have valid XML, both per the schema and because you have no single root node. You have an XML fragment, which must be treated different.
    Just trying to understand the question since I now realize it does not agree with what the schema in your initial example shows.

  • How to create a simple web.xml for using servlets

    Hello i wanna configure the web.xml that i can use sevlets and beans, but how can i do that?
    This is de directorie i have installed my webapp
    C:\Tomcat 4.1\webapps\testapp
    C:\Tomcat 4.1\webapps\test\WEB-INF\classes (in this dir, I wanna put my beans and servlets, I got one servlet and the name is LogIn.class).
    And i wanna request my servlets with the url http://localhost:8080/testapp/servlet/LogIn
    How can i create a very basic web.xml with working beans, servlets and session? It is for testing-use only, so the security is not important for me at this moment.
    Tnx

    under your web-inf
    in your web.xml file you must map
    the servlets
    under the <web-app> tag type
    <servlet>
         <servlet-name>LogIn</servlet-name>
         <servlet-class>com.LogIn</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
          <servlet-name>LogIn</servlet-name>
          <url-pattern>/LogIn</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>ps: start using some IDE such as NetBeans or Ecclipse
    since they will take care of mapping all servlets and Beans
    and generate all the necessary files for your web-app

  • XML-RPC in WLS 8.1

    Hello,
    Currently I am trying to write an application to accept XML-RPC communication
    in BEA WebLogic 8.1 from an XML RPC Client. But I am stuck with the implementation
    of Server module, which I am trying to do with Web Logic 8.1 Workshop. Is there
    any direct support of XML RPC (JAX_RPC) in WLS 8.1 other than basic HTTP-XML?
    I have implemented a stand alone Server and Client XML RPC communication using
    APACHE's(old helma) XML-RPC implementation and it is working fine. Now I am trying
    to do the same Server side functionalities in WLS.
    Suppose WLS 8.1 doesn't have any direct support for XML-RPC, Did you come across
    any method to use any other third party implementation (Eg. Apache) along with
    WLS8.1?
    It will be very very helpful, if you could guide me to sort out this messy situation.
    Thank you in advance.
    warm regards,

    Hello,
    You might try your question in the workshop newsgroup:

    No SOAP?

  • XML Printing from Java

    I have an urgent request from my company's client to implement a feature of printing in our application.
    Actually the application is basically an XML Builder which generates XML code at the backend, something like Dreamweaver.
    I have no clue about printing in Java, and have not much time to research on this topic. If anybody have a program to send an XML file to print (Color printing if possible), please post here or email me at [email protected]
    Any help in this regard is highly appreciated (Dukes Dollars also available).
    Thanks

  • Issue with XML namespace and Message structure

    Hi All,
    I am using Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.4. I have SOA web service application one-way messaging wherein I keep receiving messages from the third party. The issue I am facing is with the XML namespaces which conflicts with the third party's message structure. The details are as below.
    Our Web-service WSDL*
    <schema attributeFormDefault="unqualified" elementFormDefault="qualified"

    Questions*
    1) I cannot figure out how the SOAPUI tool or SOA substitutes "real" as the namespace prefix for the WSDL based HospitalDiversionMessage and what I need to do at my end to match the message structure as per what the third party needs.
    2) I need ns0 namespace prefix to whole of Diversion xml element. Currently it is "real" at top Diversion element and "ns" for its children
    Please suggest, I can attach the other imported XSD if need be.
    Thanks

    Questions
    1) I cannot figure out how the SOAPUI tool or SOA substitutes "real" as the namespace prefix for the WSDL based HospitalDiversionMessage and what I need to do at my end to match the message structure as per what the third party needs.The xml namespace suffixes like real and ns0 are just references used by the XML Parsers. For that matter the "real" can be xyz as well.
    You dont need to make any changes as long as the xml namespace suffixes refer to the same namespace.
    If you see the first soapUI xml and the third party xml have the same namespace references and hence it is not a problem:
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:real="*http://amb.com/cad/RealTimeService*" xmlns:ns="http://schemas.com/cad/datamodel/divert/1.0.0">
    <soapenv:Header/>
    <soapenv:Body>
    <*real*:Diversion>
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns0="*http://amb.com/cad/RealTimeService*" xmlns:ns="http://schemas.com/cad/datamodel/divert/1.0.0">
    <soapenv:Header/>
    <soapenv:Body>
    <*ns0*:Diversion>
    2) I need ns0 namespace prefix to whole of Diversion xml element. Currently it is "real" at top Diversion element and "ns" for its childrenBased on this, logically both the xmls represent the same xml message. And hence you dont need to make any changes.
    Please refer to the basics of xml namespaces using the following links:

  • XML Photo Gallery

    Hello,
    I am creating a very basic AS3 XML Gallery.
    The problem I am having is including the description or
    "caption" along with the photo.
    I have been going around it for awhile, but I can't seem to
    get my head around it.
    These are the basics I have for my XML.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <images>
    <image>
    <url>pics/first.jpg</url>
    <big_url>big_pics/first.jpg</big_url>
    <description>The first time</description>
    </image>
    </images>
    Here is my AS3 code attached.
    I believe that my main problem is the very last line.
    Thanks for any help that you can provide.

    Hello Dear,
    I was reading in this forum about XML gallery and found your thread. I am having a very similar problem to yours. I am making a XML driven flash gallery. I was able to make scrolling thumbnails that show larger images using XML. But the problem I am having now is displaying the description text. While reading your conversation with KG.Glad, it seems like you figured out the solution. But I couldn't really get a hold of it. Would you mind sharing your solution with me? I am new to XML and flash. I am spending weeks without much success. So desperately needing a help. If you could share a code or file, it would be nice.
    Thank you.

  • XML Document Header

    I have created an XML document from scratch using the XmlBeans libraries and sent
    it to a file. This Xml file has the root node and all of its containing elements.
    But what is missing is the XML document header and my namespace definitions.
    Since I don't have the namespace definitions in the document header, the name
    spaces are redefined with the xmlns:xxx attrbute for each element in the XML file.
    This provides a lot of extra text in the document that is not required.
    What do I use in order to create the XML document header? Also how can I add
    the namespace definitions to the root element instead of them being defined for
    each element in the file? Looking at the documentation, it looked like I might
    need to sue the XmlDocumentProperties class but I'm not sure if this is it or
    if I need to use other classes too?
    Jerald

    This worked great. Thanks!
    One thing I found through trial and error is that I had to wait until my document
    was created, then I created a XmlCursor from my root node. After that I had to
    advance my XmlCursor to the first child element (rootCursor.toFirstChildElement())
    before actually adding my namespace definitions. Otherwise the namespace definitions
    were being added as an additional tag before my root element. But this was documented
    in the insertNamespace() member function (inserts into element before cursor).
    Thanks again.

    If you get an InputStream from am XMlBean, it will include the xml decl.
    Obtaining
    any character based stream will not. Basically, the xml declaration
    is generated
    when the XmlBean converts to bytes, but not when converted to chars.
    You can control the use of namespaces by inserting namespaces on the
    root element.
    I'm not sure what the current bits are on the website, but there should/will
    be a method on the XmlCursor called insertNamespace which you can use
    to insert
    a prefix/namespace (xmlns:prefix="namespace") as an attribute. The saver
    will
    use these attributes when persisting the store.

  • XML Schema any element

    I have a list of schema files and they a number of elements in them. But for my data extraction i use only close to 300 tags. When i register the schema I get an error that a table cannot of have more than 1000 columns. My work mate is working on Annotations and I am planning to build a new schema to make extract only these 300 tag names and also make sure the XML file can be validated like it did earlier. Explaining this i came across a complex type element called *<any>* which can be used to allow elements to be available which are not declared within the schema file.
    My Original schema file looks something like below,
    <xsd:complexType name="WfInformation">
    <xsd:all minOccurs="0">
    <xsd:element name="Company" type="WfCompany" minOccurs="0" />
    <xsd:element name="HeadOffice" type="WfOffice" minOccurs="0" />
    <xsd:element name="IndependentOffice" type="WfIOffice" minOccurs="0" />
    <xsd:element name="AffiliateCompany" type ="WfIAOffice" minOccurs="0" />
    <xsd:element name="Number" type="xsd:string" minOccurs="0" />
    <xsd:element name="ReferenceID" type="xsd:string" minOccurs="0" />
    </xsd:all>
    </xsd:complexType>
    of the above list of items i use only elements Company, HeadOffice, Number. After reading through some documentation I wanted to <any> tag like below,
    <xsd:complexType name="WfInformation">
    *<xsd:sequence>*
    <xsd:element name="Company" type="WfCompany" minOccurs="0" />
    <xsd:element name="HeadOffice" type="WfOffice" minOccurs="0" />
    *<xsd:any processContents="lax"/>*
    *<xsd:any processContents="lax"/>*
    <xsd:element name="Number" type="xsd:string" minOccurs="0" />
    *<xsd:any processContents="lax"/>*
    *</xsd:sequence>*
    </xsd:complexType>
    My question is if I am correcting the lines as i mentioned above will be Register schema again fail with same reason that i have 1000 columns. As i understand every element inside an Complex element is stored as a column value. In that case will this redesign work. Or is there any other way to approach re-desgin the XML Schema.

    Thanks. I think that leaves out my option to create a totally new Schema to suit my XML files.
    Only other option we have is to use Annotations.
    I think my colleague - eoin62 would have shared the XML Schema files earlier through your oracle email address.
    Please refer thread - How to register multiple XSD files
    But we received a reply and we knew very little on how to make changes to Admin.xsd and how would that solve our problem. Please correct me if i am incorrect. Because the biggest Schema was estimate.xsd that has close to 800+ elements. I am not sure if my colleague sent you the necessary tag names we use within the Schema. We have close to around 300 tags we use. But our combined XML Schema has close to 1600+ If we have to annotate, i thought it would be better we tell Oracle which tagswe need, which inturn should should help better create XMLtype table against a Schema and work on performance.
    Your earlier reply was,
    Basically in XML Schema Admin.xsd element AdminCompin WorkfileTypeneeds to be stored Out of line..
    Add the annotations xdb:SQLInline=”false” and xdb:defaultTable=”ADMIN_COMP_XML”. to the element..
    if you can share with our XML Schema on how to annotate or if you can share a location that shows how an annotated or non-annotated Schema works that would help us correcting our Schema files.
    Thanks for all your support. We have gone a long way in XML Parsing in the last 6 weeks.

  • How to make use of XMLDB to process large XML and create spatial objects

    For someone new to XMLDB I find it hard to make sense of the enormous amount of information (and easy to get lost in it). So I come here to ask for directions.
    I have to build a procedure that fills a table of spatial objects based on XML input. Basically the XML contains a large amount of elements that describe the geometry type and contain the geometries coordinates. The XML can get quite large (200-300Mb).
    Somehow I have to process each element and create an sdo_geometry object.
    Now let me ask a very broad question: What would be a good way to handle this?

    I have the same question. Any news on this?
