Batch changes - applescript?

Question

I realized that for a bunch of my photos, the camera's time was not set correctly and now images taken at 9am are showing up as 9pm and vice versa.
I read about PhotoInfo and I am willing to try it, but first I am wondering if anyone out there has (or would be willing to) created an AppleScript we can throw into Automator to solve such a quandry? Seems like it'd be fairly simple, but then again I am not a coder, so I can only imagine
Any ideas?

You do realize that using PhotoInfo will not change the date that iPhoto uses unless those files are re-imported into iPhoto. So you would have to export, change the date, delete those in iPhoto and then import those that have been edited. It'll work but there's some effort to that. If you do it that way here's a possible workflow.
1 - move all of the files that can be batched changed at one time to a new roll.
2 - in the Finder, locate that "roll" folder in the Originals folder and copy it to the desktop.
3 - batch edit that folder on the desktop to get the correct date and time.
4 - delete that roll from the library from within iPhoto.
5 - import the folder from the desktop into the library.
Another possible workflow:
1 - move all of the files that can be batched changed at one time to a new roll.
2 - edit the date or time for each photo like you would edit the Title. That change will be recognized by iPhoto for use in iPhoto.
3 - using PhotoInfo, batch change the date/time on the "roll" folder inside the Originals folder. I'd make a backup copy of the library folder just in case. But that should work.
The first workflow is the one I'd pick as it permanently changes the capture date in the original file.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
