Batch executing SQL Statements stored in a file in SAP DB

hi,
I am using SAP DB as database in my j2ee application. As a part of the application purpose, i need to insert a large no. of records in to the database directly. I have created the SQL file which contains the insert statements for the records
Now i need to execute this file sothat the insert statement which are inside the file get executed. I am using SQL Studio to access to the Database.
I would like to know whether any options are available in SQL Studio to for executing a SQL File.

Basically,what you need to do is From the context menu for the SQL dialog, choose Import File or Export File.

How to execute sql statement under bat file?

I want to execute following statement
C:\>sqlplus /nolog
SQL> conn scott/tiger
SQL> select * from tab;
I know I can realize it as following test.bat and testdb.sql file
test.bat is follows:

Now I don't want to use sql file,I only want to use bat file,like follows:

1)I want to know whether there is a method to execute sql statement only by bat file without a sql file? How to realize it?
2)If I call sql file,how to hide passord of user? Because I don't want to other persons know scott password,if I use conn scott/tiger in testdb.sql,other person can see testdb.sql and know the password. Is there a good method to avoid?

I just tried to export to excel with the esdev extension and got java.lang.NumberFormatException. I found the workaround at Re: Windows Multi-language env, - how do I set English for application lang?
open the file sqldeveloper\jdev\bin\sqldeveloper.conf and add the following two lines:
AddVMOption -Duser.language=en
AddVMOption -Duser.country=USyet now my date formats in excel are 'american-style' instead of german. For example 01-DEC-01 so excel does not recognize it as date and therefore I can not simply change the format.
When export to excel will be native to 1.1 perhaps someone can have a look at this 'feature'

Execute the sql statement stored in table

friends i m in complication that, how can i execute sql statement which is stored in database table.
how can i fetch that particular statement from table and make it execute!!!

I think we should stop at this point and have a little think.
My understanding is that your plan is to do the following
-Execute a Dynamic SQL statement which is constructed from values in several columns in a table (Bad idea to begin with)
-The result of the execution is then loaded into PL/SQL.....not sure how you are handling different column lists but I'll assume you are not having to convert every column value to a VARCHAR2
-The values returned are then used in an INSERT statement
So basically your goal here is to take some data from one table and insert it into another table by moving data from SQL to PL/SQL then back to SQL in an elaborate, dynamic way. This is a costly waste of resources and will not scale (this is before we get to the problem of having to read the SQL statement from a table in the first place)
I would recommend looking the INSERT SELECT statement here: http://psoug.org/reference/insert.html
This will get the job done in one go. If you really do need it to be dynamic (which you don't, trust me) then you can still store this statement in your "dynamic SQL" table and execute it using EXECUTE IMMEDIATE although I can say for sure that you're going to run into more problems down the line with this architecture, it won't scale very well, and you'll probably waste at least *1* day of your time every week trying to fix a bug caused by the removal of a table, change to a column name etc.......
However if you believe that storing SQL in a table is the best solution to your problem then go ahead.....at least when you find out that it isn't you'll have learned a valuable lesson.

Hi Sean,
It is saying error executing SQL statement, but with no "ORA error" so maybe its a Jasper Reports error i'm not too sure.
And this is a different version of the one we done together, that one is running fine just having problems putting the jasper file on to the server. I'm just using the main bits from the original SQL.

Try this:

And when that's completed, consider ALTERing the table to add a unique index (or even a primary key) so you'll never need to do this again.

What can be the cause of Web ADI error : Cannot execute SQL statement?

I created a custom integrator in r12.2.3 and while loading I encountered an error, Cannot execute SQL statement.
I checked my setup in Interface attribute , the RUN_ID column has a default type SQL QUERY with a default value SELECT XXCONV_EAM_ASSET_NUM_S.NEXTVAL FROM DUAL.
If I have a right setup here, what can be the cause of this error?

Can we use a stored procedure in the sender jdbc adapter in 'Update SQL Statement'.
The problem i am facing is like, we are selecting data from two tables in 'SQL statement for query' and then in 'Update SQL Statement' , we need to delete that data from these two tables.

you can use a Stored procedure in the
Query SQL Statement
You have the following options:
· Specify a valid SQL SELECT statement to select the data to be sent from the specified database.
· Specify an SQL EXECUTE statement to execute a stored procedure, which contains exactly one SELECT statement.
The expression must correspond to the SQL variant supported by the relevant JDBC driver. It can also contain table JOINs.
so have your whole select and update as part of this single Stored procedure

Query with JPA not working. Is possible to see the executed SQL statements?

I have a question regarding namedqueries. I am having an error for which I am not being able to find any solution. ORM mappings seem to be ok, and the EntityManager validates correctly. However I am getting an error when trying to retrieve some results. My question is if it is possible to retrieve the set of SQL statements queried on the server, to see if it is due to a different issue than JPA settings.

You can enable sql logging in a provider specific way (e.g for hibernate you add hibernate.show_sql=true in the hibernate.properties file).
You could get more help if you described the problem you are getting.

The data changing SQL statements are executed at the end of the (container managed) transaction, not at the time of the calls to UnitOfWork.registerNewObjekt(),
UnitOfWork.validate...() or UnitOfWork.commit...().

So the application server code has no possiblity for special reaction to this error condition.
How can I use TopLink to execute my SQL statement immidately, not at the the end of the transaction (which is out of the area of my code)? Only the transaction should end at the usual time, managed by the container.

I don't think there is anyway to currently do this in a JTS managed environment, to handle the exceptions you could,
- Make use of TopLink session ExceptionHandlers to handle the database errors during the JTS commit.
i.e.
uow.setExceptionHandler(yourExceptionHandler);
or,
- Let TopLink control the transactions instead of JTS.

you will found how to connect from Jdev to a database (chapter 1 or 2 ?). Then you just have to go under Tool>SQL*Plus or Tools>SQL Worksheet depending on what you need.
