Batch file conversion problem

I'm trying to batch convert a folder of tif files into jpg files using the file>process mulitple dialogue.
I select the folder and the select convert to jpeg hi quality
The process starts but stops at each image with the default file type as .psd I change it and continue and it stops at each image in turn.
What am I doing wrong?
Cheers
Garin

Are your tif files 16 bits/channel? Open one of the tif files and look at the top
of the tab.

  • Unicode huge file conversion problem

    I use the command in Unix "<b>sapiconv -f 4110 -t 8600 -o <source file name> <destination file name></b>" calling by ABAP command  "CALL 'SYSTEM' ID 'COMMAND'  "   to convert non-unicode source file to unicode destination file in code page 8600 (Thai language). For the small size source file, It has no problem, but for the huge size source file (27MB - the file was extracted and created by OPEN DATASET from asset master data about 95000 records), it has problem.  There are only about 1300 Records (about 200k) in destination file and <b>the remain records are missing!?!?</b> And every time I run the program, It still has certain result.
    What can I do for this case? or the command 'sapiconv' has the size limitation for unicode file conversion? or which additional parameter should I use?
    Thank you in advance.

  • File conversion Problem

    Hi Experts,
    we are facing a problem when converting one text file by using FTP adapter.
    the flat txt file is as below
    AT1230001
    "AT"  - Segment Name
    "123" - Field One
    "0001"  - Field Two
    we are using FTP Adapter conversion for the same
    the result of XML is as below
    - <AT>
      <F1>AT</F1>
      <F2>123</F2>
      </AT>
    for the field one it is taking the value of Segment Name, as we are giving KeyFieldValue in Configuration "AT".
    please help, it is urgent,
    Regards,
    Study SAP

    Hi Chirag,
    Thanks for your reply,
    what we are facing here is that in our flat file data, it is EDI file
    AT is segment name value
    *(estric) is separator
    123 is first field value
    0001 is second field value
    in XML conversion the Segment Name is going into the first field name value and first field name is going in second field value and second field we are not able to capture as we have only two fields for capturing.
    As in XML format
    <AT>
    <F1>AT</F1>                   "it is taking the value of Segment Name, but it should capture first field value which is "123"
    <F2>123<F2>                "it is taking the value of First field, it should capture value "0001"
    </AT>
    How we can ignore Segment value when transferring data ?

  • Batch File Creation Problem CS5.5

    I am having an issue creating aep files on our farm using aerender in CS5.5.  We have a script that uses a template aep to generate a new file for various shots.  It works fine in CS4.  When I use the same script in CS5.5 it creates a file, but when you try to open it, it gives the following messages:
    After Effects warning: Reading past end of file
    After Effects error: strange situation [0/2].  (26 :: 84)
    At which point AE either crashes or leaves a blank file.
    However, if you try to import the same file, it works fine and everything appears as desired.
    If I run the same script through the CS5.5 UI (AfterFX.exe as opposed to aerender.exe) the file generated opens without issue.
    I also tried stripping out parts of the script to see if removing elements fixed the issue.  It did not - in fact I made a new script to try in batch mode that only saves a file.  This results in the the same
    After Effects warning: Reading past end of file
    but no errors, though I imagine that's because it's a blank project to begin with.
    Here is the code for that script:
    function testBuild() {
        var saveMe = new File("//server/job/comp/dev/work/test/shot/file_test.aep");
        app.project.save(saveMe);
    We are using a slightly modified version of commandLineRenderer.jsx that allows extra flags to run pre-render scripts and submit without rendering.  I merged our custom edits with the version that ships with CS5.5 to ensure continuity.  Again, the script works in CS4 (even w/ the updated custom CS5.5 version of the commandLineRenderer.jsx).
    Here's the command that runs on the farm:
    aerender -s 1 -e 1  -norender -script //server/job/bin/dev/testBuild.jsx -command "testBuild()"  2>&1
    the -norender -script and -command flags were things we added to commandLineRenderer.jsx, -norender indicates not to render the project, -script gives the script to load and -command the command to run.
    The issue seems directly related to saving using aerender.exe in CS5.5 since everyting works correctly in CS4 and in the CS5.5 UI
    We are running Windows 7 64-bit.
    Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Hi Johny,
    I forgot to come back to this thread, sorry.
    So it seems that the save file in noui batch do not complete his job, in fact, when you save your file in aepx (xml file) you could see the change between a NOUI file and an UI file, there is 3 lines missing, near the end :
    </Fold>
    <wsns bdata="XXXX"/>
    <wsnm bdata="XXXXXXXX"/>
    <string>Standard</string>
    <fcid bdata="XXXXX"/>
    <LSIf>
    If you add those three line in your .aepx (at the right place) you can open your file in Ae without any problem (I do not know what it refers too and you should get your own figures, in place of XXX).
    Moreover, I tried too to contact adobe support, but even if you suceed to reach them, they will tell you that the problem come from your script, even if it's quite obvious that the save option for noui do not complete his job.
    Hope it will help you and other members,
    Best Regards.

  • Batch File Info problem: (CS3)

    As was the case with CS2, when in bridge adding file info. to multiple files, the data entered within Copyright Notice, Copyright Status and Copyright Info URL is shown as entered and correct when checking back the file info. within Bridge - However, if one of those files is then opened in Photoshop and the file info. is checked, the data entered is either incomplete or simply not being shown.
    This occurs when working working on TIFFS. When working with JPEG it does not.
    Process:
    1) Bridge - Adding file info.
    - Select multiple files.
    - Right click > File info
    - Enter file info. data.
    - Click ok.
    2) Bridge - Checking file info.
    - Select one of the files file info. has been applied to.
    - Right click > File info.
    - Check info. panels for correct data.
    - All appears correct and as entered.
    3) Photoshop - Checking file info.
    - Open one of the files file info. has been applied to.
    - Check file info:
    i) Having chosen Copyrighted as the option within Copyright Status, now appears untouched and defaults to Unknown!!
    ii)Data entered within Copyright Notice appears incomplete, showing only the first sentence and a half. (i.e 22 words, 107 characters (no spaces) 128 characters (with spaces))
    iii)Data entered within Copyright Info URL does not appear.
    I figured this would have been sorted for CS3?!
    For me this is a really major issue, your assistance and a fix are desperately, desperately needed.
    Kind regards
    Will

    I am using Vista, but have no problems with opening File Info on multiple files.

  • Batch file conversion

    hi.
    I tried to establish the following workflow with automator, but I just cannot get it to work.
    Problem: open a .mkv file with quicktime player, wait until Perian has imported the movie completely, just save the file (no export!) as $filename.mov
    Loop this for about 120 .mkv files, one at a time.
    I want to get rid of the .mkv container and have a .mov container instead. no video or audio reencoding.
    This is my first automator project, but seems to be to big for the beginning.

    Winfer wrote:
    To break this into pieces, can anyone help with how to:
    1) wait a given time period
    add shell script action that performs the command
    sleep N
    N is the delay time in seconds.
    2) close an application
    add an apple script action:
    tell application "application-name" to quit
    For example:
    tell application "QuickTime Player" to quit
    3) tell the "Save" Dialog "Yes"
    no good way to do this one. you can try "record" button. It might also be possible with GUI apple script but those are very finicky too. The best is to try to get rid of having to press that button altogether. in most situations you can save a document using apple script bypassing the save dialog altogether.

  • Idoc to flat file conversion: problem with mapping

    Dear experts,
    I have the following scenario: SAP (idoc) -> XI -> 3rd party
    The idoc has s structure like this:
    . ZSCX001 (idoc name)
    ... IDOC
    ..... ORDERHEADER
    ....... ORDERLINE
    ......... DELIVERY LINE
    ......... DELIVERY LINE
    ..... ORDERHEADER
    ....... ORDERLINE
    ......... DELIVERY LINE
    ......... DELIVERY LINE
    etc
    The flat file has this structure:
    . FILENAME
    ... RECORD
    ..... FIELD1
    ..... FIELD2
    ... RECORD
    ..... FIELD1
    ..... FIELD2
    etc
    Now, per IDOC I need to create 1 file. For each delivery-line in the IDOC I need to create 1 record in the outputfile (flat file).
    In message mappings, I did the following:
    - messages-tab: Occurrence of the Idoc and inbound message type for flatfile: both 1
    - design-tab: I linked IDOC to the FILENAME (so for each Idoc I create 1 flat file)
    - design-tab: I linked the tag "Delivery line" to "RECORD" (I expected 1 record per delivery line)
    When I test it, I only get 1 resulting record in the flat file, even if I test with 3 ORDERHEADER->ORDERLINE->DELIVERY LINE segments.
    Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance,
    William

    Hi,
    First make sure occurence of Record is 0..unbounded.
    Second use the blow mapping rule..
    Delivery line --->RemoveContext ---> RECORD

  • Pass tablespace(s) as a parameter to RMAN using batch file (windows2000)

    I want to make a backup of one or more than one tablespaces.
    For Example:
    Backup tablespace USERS,TOOLS;
    Backup tablespace USERS;
    In this regards I am using windows batch file. Below you find the code of batch file which I am using to perform this operation (windows 2000)
    Batch file (c:\rman.cmd)
    set tbs1=%1
    set tbs2=,%2
    if exist tbs1 == goto usage
    if exist tbs2 == goto usage
    echo BACKUP tablespace %tbs1% %tbs2% ; > c:\temp\tbs.rman
    rman TARGET / @ c:\temp\tbs.rman
    Problem
    I run this batch file on command line .
    When I issue this command its ok and backed up both the tablespaces.
    Host @c:\rman.cmd USERS,TOOLS
    But when I want to backup only one tablespace and issue the command like that:
    Host @c:\rman.cmd USERS
    It gave the following error
    BACKUP tablespace users , ;
    Found comma after first tablespace.
    Point of focus
    How to get rid of the comma after first tablespace on run time, when I want to backup only one tablespace.
    BACKUP tablespace users , ;
    How to avoid that comma on run time when I only want to make a backup of single tablespace.
    Please check this matter it is only the batch file side problem.
    With Best Regards
    Fawad Ahmed

    I am not expert is DOS but I think you can fix this with
    a simple programming logic elements in the script.
    You have 2 cases:
    1 case ) When you have only one parameter
    2 case ) When you have more or equal than two parameters
    if exist tbs1 == goto mark1
    if exist tbs2 == goto mark2
    mark2:
    echo BACKUP tablespace %tbs1% %tbs2% ; > c:\temp\tbs.rman
    goto end
    mark1:
    echo BACKUP tablespace %tbs1% ; > c:\temp\tbs.rman
    goto end
    end:
    rman TARGET / @ c:\temp\tbs.rman
    This can be one the case for 1 or 2 parameters . If
    you think to pass more parameters you have to use
    another logic.
    I hope this can help you!

  • Batch file naming in Photoshop 6.0

    I have tried every which way I can to rename photos I have scanned in using the Automate Batch process. I downloaded the update which was supposed to take care of a problem they were having with the batch file naming problem, but I am still having no success. Please, any input will be appreciated.

  • Execute java class from a batch file called from runtime.exec

    Hi.
    I don´t know if this question fits here.
    I wan´t to execute a batch file (on Win XP) with runtime.exec. That batch file will execute another java program.
    I have the following code:

              rpt.setRepetitiva(ficheroDatos, rutaFicheros, rutaResultado);
              rpt.calcular();
    }I´ve got Resolutor.class in /res and the other two files (and the rest of the files for running) in /res/tarea.
    If I execute /res/tarea/lanzar.bat from the command line everything works fine, it calls java and runs lanzador without problem.
    The problem comes when I try to execute the batch file via Resolutor.class. It executes the batch file without problem, but it throws a *java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Lanzador* when launching the new java application.
    Any ideas of how can I solve that problem. (It must do it via batch file). Well, I tried putting in the bat file java -classpath .\tarea Lanzador %1 %2 %3 and didn´t work.
    I ve tried the bat modification, and the directory in x.txt is k:\res instead of k:\res\tarea.
    I´ve tried to modifiy it to java .\tarea\Lanzador and didn´t work so I have put a cd like the following and it appears to work.
    cd tarea
    java Lanzador %1 %2 %3Thanks for the replies.

  • Conversion of batch file parameter to varchar2

    Hello, I currently have a batch file that accepts a parameter: login/password@database.
    The way i assign it in the batch file is as follows:
    %1 parameter login/password@database
    The batch file then calls sqlplus to run a script, called test.sql, it passes the %1 parameter to the test.sql script. The call from the batch file looks as follows:
    sqlplus %1 <test.sql> %1
    where test.sql is the location of the script.
    The problem arises when i try to assign the %1 parameter which is equal to say, johndoe/doe@database, to a varchar2 variable in the pl/sql anonymous block.
    Here is how that assignment looks:
    declare
    login varchar2(50);
    begin
    login := %1;
    end;
    The error i recieve is:
    invalid indentifer 'johndoe' must be declared.
    I was thinking to solve this problem all i need to do is change it to a character datatype, however, when i try TO_CHAR or using concatenation using the '||' operator
    they do not work.
    Does anyone have any ideas<QUESTION MARK>
    Thanks.

    Hello
    try to put the %1 variable in single quotes like
    login := '%1';

  • Problems Force Running a batch file

    Hi There,
    I am trying to force-run a batch file to copy files from a local NBO Appliance to the C:\tmp directory on the user's workstation. The batch file lives at c:\tmp\branding.bat.
    I cant get the batch file to force run. Zen reporting advises that the batch file has distributed and launched successfully, however the files do not copy.
    However, if i click on the icon for the batch file app - the files copy no problem. I have tried running Workstation Associated and (Unrestricted) User Associated as well as Workstation - Force Run as User.
    Path to executable file:
    %*WinSysDir%\cmd.exe
    Parameters:
    /c "c:\tmp\branding.bat"
    Any ideas? The batch file has to refer to the P: drive as the application covers 40 different sites each with their own appliance containing source files.
    Running NBO2 - ZFD 4 Agent 4.0.1.60 - Clientless

  • How to debug file content conversion problems?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to debug a file content conversion problem.  I'm mapping a few nodes in an IDOC to a file of fixed length fields.  I'm using the "<Node A>.fieldFixedLengths", "<Node B>.fieldFixedLengths", "<Node C>.fieldFixedLengths", etc. parameters to specify the fixed length records.
    However, a certain node (for e.g. Node B) is causing a problem and if it is present in the IDOC, the output file does not get created.  Upon checking the XI monitor, I notice that the file gets mapped correctly and thus the problem lies when the file adapter does the file content conversion.  How do I debug this because there is no descriptive error in the XI log?  If this node is not present, the file gets generated fine.
    Thanks,
    Basant Gupta

    Hi,
    If your SXMB_MONI shows, success status, then go to RWB->Message Monitoring->Message display tool and then check Audit log for the analysis,
    So it wil help you debug the situation.
    If there is no error, then check RWB->Component Monitoring->Adapter Monitoring for you file communciation channel..

  • Problem with running rhcl.exe in batch file

    Hi,
    I'm running Robohelp 8 and trying to use rhcl.exe to generate multiple help projects. I'm having a problem with the folder where the rhcl.exe is generating the web help. It seems to ignore the "-o" switch and gets the generation folder from the project all the time. As you can see from the log file below, the exe appears to pick up the "-o" path  (......\Test\Opportunities.htm), but writes the generated files to the path in the project (.....\Opportunities\index.htm).
    Anyone else come across this problem?

  • Runtime.exec() batch file problem

    Hi folks,
    i have a little problem when I want to execute a batch file through java's runtime.exec() method.
    the execution of a very simple batchfile works (for example opening notepad or other stuff), but I have problems with the following batch file (although it's still simple):
    net use s: \\Dd-nt-fs\Dsmp15_files
    set DSCFG=c:\dscfg
    set PSPATH=c:\adproof
    set ora_path=C:\oracle\ora92
    set path=S:\Dsmp_Q4_2004\Bin;%ora_path%\bin;%path%;
    set nd_font=S:\Dsmp_Q4_2004\Fonts
    set nxPS_FONT_DIR=%ND_FONT%
    set PSPATH=c:\adproof
    set PSFORMS=S:\Dsmp_Q4_2004\PsForms\Telenor
    s:
    cd S:\Dsmp_Q4_2004\bin
    S:\Dsmp_Q4_2004\Dsmp_Reports\Telenor\adproof.exe DBUSER=a_user DBPSWD=a_pswd DBSTR=dbstr ADINFO=adinfo.lst TASKID=a_taskid
    my guess is that there is a problem with the setting of environment variables which correspond to the drive s:
    I mannually added the batchfile (line by line) and looked whether it got through to the command which executes the adproof.exe file: for example the below batchfile worked:
    set DSCFG=c:\dscfg
    set PSPATH=c:\adproof
    set ora_path=C:\oracle\ora92
    s:
    cd S:\Dsmp_Q4_2004\bin
    S:\Dsmp_Q4_2004\Dsmp_Reports\Telenor\adproof.exe DBUSER=a_user DBPSWD=a_pswd DBSTR=dbstr ADINFO=adinfo.lst TASKID=a_taskid
    Here is the java code: in which i execute the batch file:
    Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
    Process proc = rt.exec("net use s: \\\\Dd-nt-fs\\DSMP15_FILES");
    BufferedReader  b = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(proc.getErrorStream()));
    while( (line=b.readLine())!=null) {
          System.out.println(line);
    int exitVal = proc.waitFor();
    System.out.println("Exit Value = "  + exitVal);
    String[] cmd = new String[1];
    cmd[0] = "C:\\Documents and Settings\\tikmi\\My Documents\\mysources\\DSMP Prototype\\print\\hallo3.bat";
    // here i declared the needed settings of the environment variable and pass that array to the exec() method
    String[] env = new String[8];
    env[0] = "DSCFG=c:\\dscfg";
    env[1] = "ORA_PATH=C:\\oracle\\ora92";
    env[2] = "PSPATH=C:\\Documents and Settings\\tikmi\\My Documents\\mysources\\DSMP Prototype\\print";
    env[3] = "ND_FONT=S:\\Dsmp_Q4_2004\\Fonts";
    env[4] = "nxPS_FONT_DIR=%ND_FONT%";
    env[5] = "PSFORMS=S:\\Dsmp_Q4_2004\\PsForms\\Telenor";
    env[6] = "ND_PATH=S:\\Dsmp_Q4_2004\\resource";
    env[7] = "PATH=S:\\Dsmp_Q4_2004\\Bin;%ORA_PATH%\\BIN;%ND_PATH%;%PATH%;";
    rt  = Runtime.getRuntime();
    proc = rt.exec(cmd, env);
    b = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(proc.getErrorStream()));
    while( (line=b.readLine())!=null) {
              System.out.println(line);
    exitVal = proc.waitFor();
    System.out.println("Exit Value = "  + exitVal);Maybe someone else had similar problems or can help me solving that problem.
    Any advice would be very appreciated.
    regards
    mirkolino

    finally I got it working now.
    for those who are interested in the problem, my code that's now working is the following
    Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
                            Process proc = null;
                            String cmd = "cmd.exe /c c:\\adproof\\hallo3.bat";
                            proc = rt.exec(cmd);
                            InputStream in = proc.getInputStream();
                            BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader ( new InputStreamReader(in));
                            String line;
                            while( (line=br.readLine()) != null) {
                                System.out.println(line);
                            int exit = proc.waitFor();
                            System.out.println();
                            System.out.println("Process exited with: " + exit);the problem was, that i have to handle and read the input stream
    thanks for you help
