Bbc content won't play

Is there a way of playing BBC content live. I have the app but can't play some of the content as it needs flash player. Didn't realise this before I bought iPad.

I was able to resolve this.
In IE8, go to Tools, Internet Options.
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the RESET button to reset IE to its default settings
I'm not recommending any actually do this, but it worked for me. I wish I had more time to check which actually setting was interfering.
By clicking on reset, I didn't lose my favorites, but the home page changed, toolbars got removed, and security, privacy and content settings all got reset.
Hope that helps anyone in a similar situation.

No mpeg2 export option, h.264 content won't play in WM or VLC

I'm running a trial version of Premiere Pro CS4 (4.0.1 (052 (MC: 160820))) in Windows XP SP3.
When I try to export video I am missing the mpeg2 format options. File -> Export -> Media. I would take a screenshot to show what I'm seeing, but when I hit Ctrl (part of the Ctrl-Alt-PrintScreen) it closes the menu showing my available options.
Is there something special I have to do to get mpeg2 support? I thought that would have been included.
Also, if I encode to h.264 Windows Media Player and VLC won't play the resulting .mp4 videos. I can create h.264-encoded AVI files on my laptop with avidemux and they play back fine, so I know I have h.264 support, at least in VLC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No Mpeg export in the trial. I find that assuming anything about Premiere cs4 makes an '***' out of you and 'uming'.
Friendly fun, don't get mad just playing with ya cause it'd pretty well documented that there is no Mpeg support with trial. I agree it's stupid because CS4's big selling point is AVCHD and HDV and blu-ray. None of which you are available with the trial.

Flash content won't play if HTML is in a different directory

I have a flash CS3 slideshow that loads it's content from an
external .xml file. If I export the HTML it plays fine, but if I
move the HTML to the site root directory and let dreamweaver update
the links the flash slideshow will not play.

Flash looks at the current location of the HTML page for the
start of any relative paths. So, if your SWF is in a different
location from the HTML, you will want to use server-relative paths
("/path/to/xml.xml") or absolute paths ("
http://www.mysite.com/path/to/xml.xml")
in the Flash.
If you don't want to change the SWF, move the XML and any
other files relative to the root of the server, and you will be in
business.

Transferred music from computer to laptop...some content won't play

Some of my content is locked, and when I try to authorize, it says that the computer is already authorized, but wont play the song.

Then, I dropped the entire itunes file from the old PC (XP) into an empty external drive.
That "itunes file from the old PC"? Is that the iTunes folder, from the old PC, that was in the user home folder's Music folder?
All of the library, playlists, etc. from the ipod as they always have been are shown, by they are 'grayed out' and will not open or play.
That's on the iPod, correct? Are all of your old playlists in iTunes, from the old PC, still there in iTunes on the new PC? Are the songs in iTunes still playable?
This document provides the steps to transfer a complete iTunes library between two computers. See the section called External drive.

There are many steps, but this is a summary. (1) On the old PC, consolidate all of your iTunes data into the iTunes folder. (2) Copy this iTunes folder to the external drive. (3) On the new PC (that has iTunes installed but NOT running), replace its existing iTunes folder with the one from the old PC (on the external drive). When you run iTunes, it uses the iTunes folder from the old PC, and it should look like iTunes on the old PC (with all the playlists, ratings, play count, etc.), and your iPod will see the iTunes library as the same iTunes library (because it is the same library).
If you did something different, and the old PC is still accessible, you may want to try it using the method from the linked document.

Purchased tv content won't play in itunes on my computer

No error message. Blank screen. No audio. Content will play on my iphone. I've repaired itunes and quicktime. Other ideas?

More info: content will play in QuickTime but not in iTunes.

Hd content won't play in itunes properly

I am trying to play 720p & 1080p content in itunes on my macbook pro. The itunes library is on a firewire 800 external drive. The videos play fine in quicktime player, but when I try to play hd video in itunes the framerates slows down so much as to be unwatchable but the audio plays fine. I've tried taking out all the plug-ins for both itunes and quicktime. I turned perian off. Nothing seems to help. The same videos play fine in other programs (quicktime player, vlc, etc.) but in itunes the video is unwatchable. SD videos play with no trouble. I tried playing a movie I bought from the itms and that played mostly, it was a little slow. But podcasts and videos I have encoded myself will not play.

Sky Go content won't play on Apple TV 2nd Gen

I have a UK Sky Go account and can download video to iPad. When I activate Airplay to Apple TV 2nd Gen it will not display. Apple TV works fine with iTunes downloaded content.
Any options/ideas to get this working??

While I am pretty sure I had tried it, I just did a little rearrangement within my stereo cabinet which resulted in moving the Apple TV to another shelf. And of course unplugging it to move cables. After powering it up and redoing some of the setup, the movie plays properly. So maybe a power cycle was needed. Or maybe the problem resolved itself and the power cycle just coincidently happened at the same time. Either way, my problem has been resolved.

Online Quicktime movies and content won't play!

I have OS 10.2.8, and until recently (when Apple released Quicktime 7), I had no problem in any of my browsers with Quicktime content. Now that Apple has switched to Q7, which isn't compatible with 10.2.8, I have not been able to load any Quicktime content, such as movie trailers.
Does Quicktime 6.5.3 no longer work for any Quicktime content? Or is it just a problem with my system? It would be disconcerting if Apple no longer allowed anyone who does not have 10.3 or above to view their content. Please help with this problem!

Any file encoded with the new H.264 video codec (most of the new trailers) can't be viewed with QuickTime 6.5.3.
Since you're unable to install QuickTime 7 on your computer you can't view these new movies.

Purchased content won't play

Ok, I just reinstalled Windows XP pro after a full format of my windows drive. I had my entire itunes library on a different drive, so that wasn't affected at all. When I installed itunes, everything seems fine, except for the few albums I've bought off of itunes. Everything appears to be authorized correctly, but when I try to play these songs it just skips them and goes to the next one in the list. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If you have made sure that both the iTunes and iPod software are current and have deauthorized and reauthorized your computer, try this test:
1. Deauthorize the computer.
2. Create a new user in the system.
3. Download the free song of the week from the iTMS in the new user account.
4. Play the song in that user account to authorize again.
5. Restore the iPod (using the iPod updater) in the new user account.
6. Sync just the free song of the week and see if it plays on the iPod.
If it does, you appear to have a corrupted iTunes library file, and you should recreate the iTunes library file in your normal user account, and then sync your music back to the iPod and all should be well.

I know you already recreated the library, but try it again using the above steps.

Motion 3 template drop zone content won't play in FCP

I am new to Motion. I made a custom template and brought it into FCP. It inserts and previews fine. In FCP I place a clip into one of the masked-out "drop zones" under the "controls tab" and here is where I run into the problem:
The clip shows up ok in the template but doesn't play once I render; all I get is a static still from it.
I sense that I am almost there... any suggestions?

Itunes purchased Content won't play

I have several itunes store purchased TV shows witch have played fine up until yesterday. Now when I select a show to play nothing happens. The show also no-longer appears on Apple TV. All other non-itunes store purchased media plays normally. I have tried both reauthorize and de-authorize of the computer, but when I do I get the following msg:

+The required directory was not found or has a permissions error. Correct this permissions problem and try again, or de-authorize this computer of the permissions cannot be changed."+
I have also repaired permissions.
Any ideas how to fix this bug?

"HDCP content won't play on this display" error for all purchased content after upgrading to Yosemite

Using my 2013 Mac Pro with a 27" Cinema Display, I'm now getting an error that tells me that my display isn't authorized for HDCP content.
This is the same machine I've been using right along to watch my iTunes content with no configuration or hardware changes... the only difference is the switch to Yosemite and the accompanying iTunes upgrade.
I've tried the basics - rebooting, reconnecting the display etc - but based on the circumstances it feels more like a bug than something I'll be able to impact.
Anyone?

The issue is from Safari defaulting to HTML5 vs using Silverlight like it did in Mavericks.
So the options are, if you want to use Safari goto your Netflix account, playback preferences and turn off HTML5. This will revert to Silverlight and will AirPlay fine*in Safari.
If you want to use HTML5, just leave the setting for HTML5 on in Netflix and use Chrome, Firefox, etc.
You can't currently have both Safari and HTML5 Netflix when using AirPlay. You'd think Safari would be a little bit more powerful with Apples stances on browser extensions.

SWF created in Flash MX 7 won't play in browser w/Flash Player 9

I just noticed that my website, which I made from a template
from templatesheaven.com, isn't playing in Flash Player 9 in a
browser. It plays in the standalone player for some reason, but
when I look at it on the web, it shows just the count-in (or
whatever it's called, the pre-load), but stops when the counter
hits 99% and the action never starts. The website is at:

I built it using Flash MX 7, but for all I know the template
was made using Swish, which apparently causes problems with Flash
Player 9. Anyone have any other ideas? Still plays fine in FP7, so
I'm stumped. If I open my .fla file in Flash 9 and then export,
will that likely fix the problem? Any ideas appreciated...

My iPhone thinks I'm abroad and won't play BBC iPlayer app

I downloaded the new BBC iPlayer app on Monday. Tuesday is when I tried to use it but it tells me I'm outside the UK and it won't play. It tells me the same when I try the web-based iPlayer.
It works fine over WIFI.
I reset my network settings - no change.
I turned off data roaming - no change
I checked my IP address (I am Orange), it lists a static IP based in the UK with Orange network details on it.
I have a friend who works for BBC conent and he checked my IP with their iPlayer tool - my IP looks fine to them.
I called Orange.
I spent half an hour on the phone to a woman who didn't seem to even understand how apps worked. She directed me to a link on the Apple Support pages which doesn't even work. "They don't deal with 3rd party apps" was the last I was told, despite the fact I'm sure the problem is with the phone not the app itself.
I am frustrated.
Anyone got any idea why my phone would be showing (to the BBC iPlayer) that I am abroad?
I cannot check the UK specific content for 4oD or ITV Player as they will only run on WIFI, and my WIFI connection does not appear to be the issue.
Could Orange be re-routing outside of the UK and coming back to the UK...and that's what confusing it?
What can I do to fix this?

That's what mine said too when I went direct to their checker.
But I use the Speed Test app and that shows a different IP address, one which links to Orange in the UK.
At the moment it's giving me 31.81.44.53, but that Ip2location site gives me 50.19.92.191. Google tells me I am on 50.16.198.92.
I am confused and frustrated.
I did several full restores yesterday, several times when the phone restarted it gave US as the defualt locaiton at startup, but this morning when I just did a settings wipe, it gave me the UK, and I thought that had fixed it. I didn't.
Very odd.
Gosh I thought I solved it then, one of the sites told me my app Onavo was creating a proxy. Deleting the app didn't help - may have to delete the profile which may be buried elsewhere on the phone. Oh, it's in the General tab under profiles - if you have a profile at all.
Cannot confirm if this works yet as I only have 2G at home but if you have Onavo, I think it's creating a proxy server connection (directing you to the USA). Delete the app, delete the profile and please let me know if it works for you!
Can't be more than 99% certain, but removing my Onavo profile has now given me a UK IP. Should work!
