BBSM (Behavior Based Safety Management)

Hi Everybody,
Is there any standard way to address BBSM (Behavior Based Safety Management) requirements in SAP EH&S solution?
Has anybody done any implementation or work-around for configuring it? If yes, please give the details.
Thanks in Advance,
Regards
Pavan Tripathi

Hi Jayakumar,
I wish to configure the end to end process of a typical BBSM cycle right from scheduling the drives (may be work-area based), preparing the related questionnaires & checklist, observing the person & recording the findings, report generation & recommendations for steering commitee review, capturing decided "improvement goals" & corresponding action items, inforcement & tracking of the action items (safety measures like maintainance, design changes, CAPeX etc.), auditing non-compliance and traking re-inforcement.
Moreover, risk rating of individual's based on their on-task behavior, and follow-on assessment for reduction in risk rating.
Thanks In Advance

  • Is adjusting permissions for LightRoom based archive management worthwhile?

I'm trying to set up an archive that is managed through a LightRoom Catalog. I was wondering if anyone has done this before and adjusted the permissions of their files to read only to ensure that LightRoom Catalog metadata changes do not alter or get saved to files.
I plan to have the archive set up in 3 locations with copies of the LightRoom Catalog. I will need to be able to add keywords and collections to a catalog at 2 of the locations. I am interested in using permissions to ensure that the catalog is the only file that needs to travel between the locations. I don't want to get into a situation in which altering the LightRoom Catalog might alter files and necessitate that I either save new metadata to files with each keyword/collection addition or that I regularly synchronize the entire archive to ensure all 3 copies of the archive are mirrors of one another.
I have three serious concerns about the longterm viability of managing file permissions:
    1. I worry that it will be difficult to manage the user/s who have the privileges to manage these permissions and that it will be difficult to do so in different locations and on different computers
    2. I worry about whether permissions management might introduce some form of file corruption
    3. I worry about the time involved in altering an entire archives worth of permissions to read only and the time involved in reversing this every time I want to unarchive content for new projects
I have also posted this question to Luminous Landscape here: Adjusting Permissions for LightRoom Catalog Based Archive Managment. Worthwhile?

... and adjusted the permissions of their files to read only to ensure that LightRoom Catalog metadata changes do not alter or get saved to files.
By default, Lightroom does not write anything to your photo files. Of course, there's no way to prevent a user from changing this default behavior and writing information to the files. I suppose making the directories read-only helps, but people could still change that. If the directories are on a server, then only the server admin could change the permissions.
    2. I worry about whether permissions management might introduce some form of file corruption
I never heard of such a thing, but this is an operating system issue, not a Lightroom issue.
I worry about the time involved in altering an entire archives worth of permissions to read only and the time involved in reversing this every time I want to unarchive content for new projects
I don't think you understand how Lightroom works. There would be no need to reverse anything to "unarchive" the content  — although in my opinion, the idea of "archiving" content in the first place doesn't feel right ... if the photos are imported into Lightroom at one time, leave them in Lightroom, don't go through an archive process removing the photos from Lightroom followed by unarchive process, that is something that is ineffective and causes numerous problems with non-expert users. When you import photos into Lightroom, the photos still remain on your hard disk somewhere, Lightroom does not actually keep a copy of the photo. Lightroom keeps pointers to the photo's locations and stores any metadata and edits. Removing a photo from Lightroom (archiving) is the equivalent of deleting the metadata and edits, and I cannot see a reason to do that.
So, bottom line, to answer your title question, "Is adjusting permissions for Lightroom based archive management worthwhile?" — without further discussion of your setup and goals, I see no reason to even spend your time on this, unless you are the server admin of the location where the photos are stored, in which case then the answer is go right ahead and make them read-only.

  • MM-Based inventory management & Replenishment -based Inventory Management

    Hi,
Can any one through me some light on the difference between "MM-Based inventory management" & "Replenishment -based Inventory Management" in IS-Retail.
Is it something related to planning, If so what is the difference.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Shakthi Rajkumar.

    Hi
In retail scenario the replenishment can happen in two ways
    (1) From DC to Stores
    (2) Directly from vendor to Distribution center.
However the above two scenarios follow the following push / pull strategy to replenish the material.
Case 1 : From DC to Stores
    How the push occurs ?
    Store orders/sales orders
Automatic store orders/sales orders from different POS system
    Auto replenishment
    How the pull occurs ?
    Allocation of merchandise purchased
Case 2 : Directly from vendor to Distribution center.
    How the push occurs?
    Reorder point planning
    Forecast based planning
    Time phased planning
    How the pull occurs?
    Allocation
    Manual purchase orders
Hope this clarifies your doubts how the replenishment happens in retail scenario
    Reward if useful

  • Support for Internet based client Management - SCCM 2012

    Hi There,
My Company wants to go for Internet based client Management in SCCM 2012 SP1 R2 and here is the design I'm proposing. I'm getting a bit confused at one point and need suggestion....
Everything would work on HTTPS ( PKI Certificate based )... LAN and Internet.
1 Primary ( with non-client facing roles installed ) on LAN with two site systems.
    - One Site System configured for INTRANET support only with MP, DP and SUP -> To support LAN users ( Allow
    Intranet-only connections )
    - One Site System configured for INTERNET support only with MP, DP and SUP -> To support Internet users ( Allow
        Internet-only connections )
The INTERNET facing site system is in DMZ network connected to parent Primary via Firewall.
We want internet clients to talk to ONLY DMZ SCCM Site System and no connection to corporate LAN. We cannot open any ports for internet based clients to LAN.
If this is the supported scenario, then why we need to put the Internet FQDN in the Primary server Site System property. This server would not be available to internet. It should only be my DMZ SCCM server client should connect for MP, DP and SUP and only
this DMZ server should be accessible to client over internet.
Also, what least ports should be opened between :
    - Parent Primary and its internet facing site system kept in DMZ
    - DMZ Site system and internet clients.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
    Sam

The FQDN has only to be specified on the Internet facing site system. You can leave this field blank on the primary site Server.
    Ports to Open:
    Internet --> DMZ Site Server:
    TCP Port 443
TCP Port 80, if Fallback Status Point is installed
DMZ Site Server --> Primary Site:
    TCP 135, 49152-65535
    TCP 445
    TCP 135, 24158 (fixed with
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb219447(v=vs.85).aspx )
    TCP 80, 443
If you have some other roles installed, please consult this page:

  • SCCM 2012 R2 Internet Based client management (ICMB)

    Hi All
We want to use internet based client management in our environment ,can we use same FQDN for both
internet and Intranet ,what settings need to be done and which ports needs to be open for them,is it required to put
SUP site syatem in DMZ or it can download updates directly from internet by getting policy from MP.
which is the best security practice ,putting MP DP SUP servers in DMZ or opening pots in firewall is there any third way?.

The most important thing is that the Internet FQDN can be solved from a public DNS (usually you don't want any of your internal names to be that).
Also, yes your clients can download straight from Microsoft Update, but they would still require access to a SUP to scan for available updates.

  • Early and late binding workflows in ICC based color management

    Hi all!
I'm a graphic design student at Reading Uni in the UK, and I'm writing my BA dissertation on early and late binding workflows in ICC based color management for print production. I'm intending to write to a graphic designer audience from a designer's point of view. Please do comment here if you have anything to say on this topic, or you can point me to the right direction. I'm also looking for studios where I could conduct my case studies who employ early, medium or late binding workflows.
    Thank you.

Will your paper have a title like  "Color Management is Fun and Easy" or "The Fiasco of Color Management"?
Notice that in the past week you and I are the only posts on this forum! This is the Color Management forum on Adobe's website. Shouldn't it be really busy?
It appears, that even after nearly ten years  I can't remember when color management first began to appear in prepress software), the industry has not embraced color management.
The promise of color management since I can remember was  that we could make color documents and not need to know how they would be printed. In other words a late binding workflow; that latest possible, just before making the plates or screens or engravings, etc. After forty hours of reading on the net and testing I am almost positive this is impossible if Illustrator is in the workflow.
Illustrator documents must be either RGB or CMYK not both. So if there are any colors that need to be preserved as CMYK (like 100 K black) you must work in CMYK meaning a mid binding color management workflow. The only thing I can think of is to find, or make, the widest gamut CMYK profile so that the fewest colors are hacked off.
But really how can this all be so messed up? What good reason could Adobe have for doing this? (I can think of several but they all contridict themselves.)
I preped some files the other day that were going to a printer I wasn't familiar with; one of the premium houses here in my area. I called them and asked how they wanted the files sent to them. I was hoping they had profiles for me or would spec some kind of PDF/x document that they would handle. No they wanted the source files and when I asked do you want the images in RGB then said, "No." So I asked which profile did they want me to use to convert to CMYK and the answer was, "What do you mean?" I said which CMYK do you want? The answer was, "The one everybody uses." I used SWOP and sighed.
IF I'M WRONG I would love to hear about it.
    Good luck

  • How to design a web based leave management application  using jsf n Spring

I'm a beginner for spring and jsf technology. I have a requirement to design web based leave management module using jsf and spring. Im confused in the design phase itself and not clearly knowing how to classify the classes. I need to understand clearly on how to do class design, and wanted to use MVC design patterns. As i know jsf itself is MVC but, as i want to use spring, i need to have some kind of model files and bean files.
I'm clear about the following 3 classes.
    Applicant
    Approver
    Leave
this will be like applicant will apply for leave and approvar when he logs he will see list of applied leaves and he will approve / reject the same by selecting one or more rows from datatable.
Please guide me on designing this or gimme some link where i can read about designing java classes for web based applications.

  • SCCM 2012 R2 Internet Based Client Management

Can someone give me a quick overview on how they are using Internet Based Client Management in their environment.
Some helpful things I am looking for.
IBMC -Should it be a separate server from Primary Site Server?
What roles should typically be installed?
A helpful Visio drawing would be great.
    Thanks!

    Hi Mike,
Can you please help me with this...
I brought the book : System Center 2012 Configuration Manager (SCCM) Unleashed and I need some clarification on Internet based client topic.
Can you please let me know if this is a supportive design? I'm getting confused with statements in the book.
Here we do not want internet based clients to connect to ANYTHING in LAN network. I have designed to have the entire internet facing Site Systems in DMZ, connected to the Primary server.
If my design looks OK to you... then why we need to mention the Internet FQDN of Primary server in Primary Server Site System Property…. This server should not be visible to internet based clients….
The most important point here is …we want internet based clients to talk to ONLY DMZ site system server. And we cannot open any ports for internet based clients to talk to Primary server kept in Chicago LAN.
I'm not able to add the picture here... please let me know know the email address where I can send that.
    Thanks,
    Sam

  • SCCM 2012 Internet based client management

I used the link below to get started. I'm testing now on my test client. The test client is showing Client Certificate: Self-signed. The connection type however is correct: Currently Internet. Also under Internet-based management point. The
server name is correct. However when looking at the client's ccmexec.log. It appears to be trying HTTP instead of HTTPS.
    http://www.systemcenterdudes.com/internet-based-client-management/
    Thoughts?

If it shows a self-signed certificate the client won't be able to connect. The Internet-based management could be because you've provided it during the installation of the client, or if the client was on the intranet before, received via a client policy.
If you just installed that client while not on the intranet, start with the
ClientIDManagerStartup.log. If the client was working before on the intranet, start with the
    CcmMessaging.log.

  • [ABANDONED][Project] Wakka: A Gtk-Based Package Management Tool

    ==Summary==
Wakka is a loosely-GtkPacman based package manager, designed to cleanup the design of GtkPacman as well as the user interface, and update it to the latest and greatest releases of Python and pyGtk. It was originally developed as a project to make GtkPacman more stable on my own system, but I realized that many other users had the same problems that I did, thus the public release.
    ==History==
I found GtkPacman when I first came to Arch in 2009, being the GUI loving Ubuntu convert that I was, and I noticed that the last release had been in February of 2008, with no updates since, and no indication that the project was ongoing. Being a budding (and overconfident) Computer Science student I decided to take on the task of forking and maintaining this wonderful piece of software for the community. Yes, I could finally give back! Little did I realize that the task was far beyond my skills to accomplish.
I quickly found that cleaning this thing up enough for my own use was hard enough, and getting a decent realease out and dealing with bug reports and such would be neigh on impossible. It also didn't help that I had no idea what the heck pacman was doing in the backend, since apt and Synaptic were my only prior experience with package managers.
So there I lost steam, but from time to time I would open the code up and peck away at it, modifying bits here and there to work the way I wanted, but I eventually just took to the command line and lost sight of old Wakka. Well, just this last week I stumbled back upon it, and with my newfound pacman-fu and python-jitsu (not to mention free time) I decided to tackle this beast once and for all. I may not keep it up to date when I'm finished, and I may not even use the thing, but I'm going to clean this monster up and make it faster, more stable, and most of all more elegant (have you looked at the code for gtkPacman? It's not very elegant).
    ==Installation and Use==
You can now install Wakka from the AUR, but if you still wish to download and try other versions, you can grab a source tarball of any release from the project page on google code or get the newest stable release from the link below. You can also grab the bleeding edge (sometimes broken) svn code as well, but it's not useful for much other than development purposes.
Basically, unless you're going to dig through the code, use the AUR version, it's the safest.

    Source: http://wakka-package-manager.googlecode … .4.tar.bz2
    ==TODO==
    - Speeeeed it up!
    - Streamlining
    - Bugfixes
Not particularly in that order, depending on the circumstances.

    I'm glad you like it!

I didn't even notice that, I'll add it asap.
pablokal wrote:Second when installing by default the terminal is closed.
I don't know about opening it up, but you're right, hiding things is bad practice, so at least a summary and a more clear indication that stuff is going on.
tomd123 wrote:can you provide a PKGBUILD in the aur?
Hopefully I can get the PKGBUILD up in the AUR within the next week, but I won't post it until everything is ported to Python 3 and I've done thorough testing. I also have a couple minor changes to make along the way, I don't like the way the update all button works right now, I'm changing it so that it just marks all changes in the install queue and alerts you of the packages to be updated, and I need to fix the 'required by' section of the package summary, since it uses an old method, and dependency size display.
All in all as soon as it's cleaned up I'll post it. I'll be going on spring break here in a week as well so I'll have plenty of time to work on it this week and next.
Thanks for the input, I'm on it!

  • Migrate to Java Based Node Manager

    Hi all ,
We are planning to migrate from script based node manager to Java based node manager . Can any one suggest the procedure or detailed steps in doing the same . If you have any documents then its really helpful .
    thanks,
    Kiran

    Hi,
I couldn't find direct way of saying whether node manager is running or not but here is the work around. Using WLST when you say "startNodeManager", if the node manager is running this command throw an output saying "node manager is already running". Let me know if this solution works for you, if it works then I can give you java program for this if required or you can use "WLST JAVA Mode".
    Thanks.

  • Unable to create working dynamic distribution list based on manager

    Hi,
I am struggling to create a working dynamic distribution group. I am following the instructions at http://help.outlook.com/en-gb/140/Dd264647.aspx.
My intent is to create DDG's based on a user's manager and their job title. In my org, sales managers will typically have 3 teams reporting to them. In our AD, this would be marked by a 3-4 letter acronym in the job title field (CSO,DCO,SDCO).
I am trying to create distribution groups for use by their manager by having the manager and job title item as the filter, using the following script:
    New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "GROUPNAME" -RecipientFilter {(RecipientType -eq 'UserMailbox') -and (manager -eq 'Managername') -and (title -eq 'ACRONYM')}
As an aside, I am unable to find if the manager object should be an alias, upn or ad object. I've tried with all with no success.
No matter what permutations of the above script I try, nothing seems to work. The group creates, but does not work at all.
Any help you can provide would be very much appreciated!

    Hi Ed,
I did try that, and as it turned out, I was using the wrong powershell from the start.
The commands above are for Office 365, not on-prem Exchange 2013. Having spoken to Microsoft, it seems like the AD object for manager may not be a filterable option at all, I'm waiting to hear back.
If this can help jog anyone's mind, the commands we're looking towards now look something like this:
New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "testname" -Alias "testname" -IncludedRecipients "MailboxUsers,MailContacts" -OrganizationalUnit "domain.local/users" -ConditionalDepartment "Test" -RecipientContainer "domain.local"
We're still looking for a filter for manager in there, and I'll update the thread if I get anything worthy of note. Bear in mind that it's going to be difficult to settle for anything less than the manager object to filter by, as our requirements pretty
    much demand it.
    Thanks all.
