BC search module does not format within my div tag for search box.
The word Serch falls outside of the box

Not much information there, quite confusing.
There is no tag_content tag.

  • How to remove default search button in search module

    I am a neophyte with code and css and normally work with Muse. But I am currently trying to customize the appearance of the search module so that it works with the website it will be serving. I have  accomplished a large part of what I've been attempting, but have hit a snag in removing the default search button (CAT_Search). I've placed the image I want to use no problem, but it is contained in some weird gray beveled box with the original 'Search' text overlapping my image.
    I have been making the rounds of tech support, tutorials, and every documented article on the search module and can find nothing that address this specific issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am enclosing the what I've done so far below.

    Thanks for the reply.
    I followed a slightly different approach than the one mentioned in your post.
    I have not used any client side javascript attributes.I got the inputListOfValues Component from the launch listener event ( launchPopupEvent.getComponent() ) and in the launch listener i am setting richQuery.setModeChangeVisible(false);
    It is hiding the button now but only for the first invocation of the search dialog, it is not working.
    More specifically, for the first invocation of the search dialog, Iterator facetNames = inputListOfValues.getFacetNames(); is not returning the child components and hence the button is not being hidden.
    Any idea why this might be happening?

    About how to let an application can be found out by the keywords in "Settings" feild:
    If there is an application it contains some settings. How can I find out the application or its setting pages by input some keywords into the "Search" module(these keywords is relevant to those settings in this application)?

  • How to make site search module work?

    Hi guys
    I am working on a sample site http://webmar.businesscatalyst.com/index.
    I had insert a site search module but anyhow when i search for any query and click the Go button, it will go the searchresult page but nothing get displayed.
    I do had placed a {module_searchresults} in the page content area of searchresult page.
    How I populate by search result page?

    Andy make sure you index (re-index)your site
    Modules > Site Search > Re- Index button
    If site is a sample site ( demo mode ) I am not sure if it will index with new changes to the way demo sites works. Give it a try it may be ok internally, but wont index with S E unless live site
    Good to re-index if made changes or added content

  • Search Module for adaptive layout

    Hi BC Community,
    I am creating an adaptive layout site for my client (so, desktop/tablet/mobile versions).  I am using the search module in the site design, which is working quite well, however, on the desktop site, it is showing pages from the mobile and tablet sites in the search results.
    Does anyone have a work around to solve this issue?  For the desktop search results, I just want it to show desktop pages, same goes for tablet and mobile.

    ASE 12 is very old and since no Eng support maybe decision made to not use datetime. However, you can certainly request feature - if you are able to create incident we can create Feature and then incident can be used for tracking purposes, etc.
    If unable to create incident please provide details:
    ASE version (exact with select @@version)
    SDK version being used
    code sample to demonstrate problem and the output from such a test
    If you used TDS please provide that trace as well if possible

    Wondering if there is a way of adding a 're-direct' code to the Site Search Module HTML code, so that people can enter info in the site search box, and rather than keeping them on the same page, it takes them to a new page.

    Nicole, You was right in the first place but you you said &PageID= for the url when in actual fact it is just ID.
    So, Aaron you do as Nicole said first (because it is easier) but use ID instead of PageID so..
    /Default.aspx?SiteSearchID=3510&amp;ID=/yoursubfolder/custompage
    &amp; is the HTML entitity for & and is better valid markup

    I would like to find a plug-in called "web search module" in order to
    get access to webpages without having to enter safari each time
    thanks to quicksilver.
    Is it available on the 10.3.9 or is tiger a must for this
    clever solution??

    Just add some script validation to the form for non HTML5 supported browsers and you can just add required="required" to the input for HTML5 if your using that doctype.

    I think there are a lot of configurations to take care of for configuring search in your application.
    To start with you should first have ATG search installed with your core atg software.
    Then use cim to configure your database to configure search related scripts in your database.
    Once you are done with the DB, then use the following modules to your build.
    I have also included the CRS related modules but you can exclude them if you want

  • Menu & Product Search Module Conflict

    The menu module and product search are conflicting and not allowing the dropdown part of the menu to function. The menu does not drop down with the product search in the page but works fine on all other pages. Could anyone shed some light on how I would fix this?   • Large size pdf search failure troubleshooting techniques

    I am creating maps in Microstation V8i (SELECTseries 2) and exporting them to a pdf (Adobe Acrobat X Version 10.1.3).  When my pdf maps surpass a certain size threshold, I am finding that my search function fails - when I execute the search it will not take me to the area or will take me to a blank spot on the pdf.  Is there any way to fix this issue?
    Could I improve my results by compressing the file?
    Is there any other search techniques available that I can use?

    first make sure to UNcheck "preserve Photoshop editing capabilities" on your packaged PDF
    next JPEG compression image quality
    those should get your Photoshop PDF sizes managable...
    PS: make sure you CONVERTED to sRGB in Photoshop and embeded/tagged the ICC profile in the Saved PDF (so it has the best chance of displaying colors proper)
    here is example of Photoshop's Save As> Photoshop PDF> Output> Color Conversion (to tagged sRGB)

  • Error in endeca search module-bulk load error

    i have added product-catalog-output-config.xml and category-dim-output-config.xml to my project in respective paths as in DCS...the XMLs are combining when i see them in dyn/admin.
    but while running baseline index, pre-indexing is getting succeeded but RepositoryTypeDimensionExporter is failing and the errors showing in command prompt are these..

    You can include Google custom search in your site page and then design the search layout using customized code or If your hosting provider provides you search modules to add on in your site then you can go with that.
    This needs to be done from hosting end , you can copy the code and use in Muse pages.
    If you are using Adobe servers to host your site , then you can use search module and place on page.
