BC SET Configuration(urgent)
hi folks,
my requirement is this..
QATS requires BC sets print with the documentation which cover all the details of the BC Sets such as BC Set Structure, Table Overview, Variable overview, IMG path, Field overview, as well as all the information captured in the BC Set documentation etc. The same output should be able to save in RTF or PDF format as well as it should be able to print the same with documentation details.
please throw some light on BC SET configuration also regarding the usage of the function module SCPR_DB_GET_DETAIL.

Thank you very much.. i hope you are not getting my problem.
In the BDC i have kept the mode selection in the selection screen and checked the entire flow.. in the fore ground through the BDC.
In BDC the BC Set is getting updated. without any error.. and if there is any error.. it triggerring the error message..
but.. the problem here is with the BC Set. it is not getting updated when the updation is done through the BDC.
Is there Any one well versed in BC Set.. can you please help me.

I would like to know is there a way to do Regional Setting Configuration in RDP session. i.e Date Format, Currency, Decimal Separator etc are based on users local machine.
Eg If a user from UK logs in he should see date format as DD/MM/YY and if user from US logs in he should date format as MM/DD/YY.
We are currently using citrix and we are managing this using logon script that runs based on citrix published application name.

A variant is simply an SAP report where the parameters for running the report have been set by the user and then saved with unique name. This allows future retrieval and execution of the report faster without reentering the parameters. As a convention the variant name should start with with the digits 50 so searchs for LHU variants is easier and quicker.

I am getting following error-

I have checked the config path of both components and the structure of servlet is as below-
src/com/progiweb/fbconnect/pipeline/FacebookAuthStatusServlet.java and src/com/progiweb/fbconnect/pipeline/FacebookProfileRequestServlet.java.java
And for the properties files I have created them under the path- config/atg/dynamo/servlet/dafpipeline and config/atg/dynamo/servlet/pipeline
Inside these I am keeping the FacebookAuthStatusServlet.properties and FacebookProfileRequestServlet.properties files
The path of Initial.properties is as below- config/atg/dynamo/servlet/Initial.properties
The content of Initial.properties is -

Should I need to keep the both pipeline- dafpipeline and pipeline or only one of them?

Dear collegues,
it seems that one can either use result states defined in Visual Composer end points or defined on CO level in "Set configuration" tab but cannot combine them within an GP action.
Has anybody of you tried to implement it together?
The reason is that I would like to strictly decouple UI and process layer - to be able to run UIs without GP process. So I don't want to have eg. "Terminate process" button in VC UI, but still want to provide this termination on processl level.

RuntimeException only for one model in configurator-Urgent
I created a custom web page in OAF to launch Configurator. It was working fine untill this morning , when another co-worker made some changes and published one particular model.
My application fails to launch that model where as all the models work fine.
This model launched fine from Quoting/OM and Config Dev.
Error from the logs is :

we have 2 publications in production published for different set of applications,
pub1 is published for applications : asn, qot ,oem
pub2 is published for applications : mac(custom application) --this was created for changes in future and has effectivityset for future.
It seems while launching , it picks the ui for pub2 and I want it for pub1

How to Configure a New Plant in SAP?
Plant 0001 is the SAP default provide for your reference.

Effect on the maintenance of material master records:
Depending on the valuation level chosen,
you maintain accounting data in the material master record for each plant or for each company code
you define a valuation price for the material in each plant or in each company code
Effect on G/L accounts:
If material stocks are valuated at company code level, all plant stocks of a material are managed in a joint stock account for each company code.
If material stocks are valuated at plant level, you can manage the material stocks for each plant in different accounts. For each plant, you can define a separate determination.
If several plants are to use account determination, you can group these plants in "Valuation and Account Assignment" Customizing. -
Getting Error in setting configuration of iPod using OS X Server Profile Manager
We are getting error when we are trying to configure the iPods using Profile Manager. Please let me know what is causing for this kind of error. Please see in attachment.
We have device groups, once the device have been enrolled we then move to a pre-configured profile which sets up items such as wifi, e-mail and passcpde etc all in one go, this has had mixed results, I've now setup profile groups for each item to give us more control over only given the user what they need instead on forcing everything, this resolved my item above but more testing is needed, the main issue has been trying to pass a pre-owned device to a new user as it seems to remember the pervious user in some cases, this is why I asked about if it was possible to delete device history.

Also i would like to create two vaults Vault A and Vault B ,user A has read/write to vault A and user B has read/write to only Vault B ,but user C has read.write to both vaults.
Please let me know how do i create users,configure vaults and give permissions.

for this u have to configure in SPRO with the relevant document type
and give the proper authorization in PFCG to relavant user , who create the doc and who chek and who released the doc
read this carefully , i made this kind of approval process in my project
1 --- "CR" means "Create" by document Creater
2 --- "Ch" "Checked" by X authority / if any mistake found then "R1" "Rework" by X authority
3 --- "Re" " Released" by Y authority / if any mistake found then "R2" "Rework" by Y authority
think that there is three stage for approval of any drawing
first stage -
document creat (Draft Man Creat Drawing and attached )
at that time document status is "Cr" after creating doc , that DIR info is sent to higher
authority using document distribution functionality
second stage----- document checker (Receive document from Draft Man in SAP Inbox)
he chek that drawing (DIR) . if there is not any other mistake than it again

document status updated from " Cr " to " Ch" means from "creat" to "checked "

Setting configuration options with install
I'm developing what is essentially an intranet app, using AIR
as the desktop interface. I would like to use the web/badge install
process from a webpage delivered from the local server. What I need
is to be able to include a customizable config file, which would be
set up from a form on the local web server before the air install,
that would set some global parameters for the air application
(specifically the server IP address and a license key... maybe
other info).
So the process would go generally as such:
1) the admin would install the server code, then run a
configuration script/form where he would input the server info,
license key, etc. This would be saved as, lets say, an xml file or
some such.
2) users would browse to the local web server to launch the
air/badge install process, which would include that xml file, and
put it in the application folder as part of the install process.
3) when the air app is run, it would then reference that xml
file to get those global settings, so it knows what server to
access for remoting calls, etc.
Is this possible?There's no secure way to include this configuration file in
the .air file itself. Since you are using a badge install, however,
you might consider instead passing arguments to the application
during the installation. These are passed to the application when
it is first launched.
Also, if you then save those parameters, you should not use
the application install folder, which is read-only. Instead, use
the application storage folder (or some similar location).

after you have set up the Approval Process correctly you should be able to see notifications in the "Recent Notifications"-iView when processing the "Publishing with an Approval Process" workflow. Please follow the Process Flow (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0a/b197a80f1a0142854f683eb445137e/frameset.htm) and check the iView on the Dynamic Navigation of Overview Page under Home -> My Info (eu_role).
It this works, and you want additionally to get the notification by Email, you must configure the Email Channel for Notification correctly. Go to KM Configuration -> Content Management -> Global Services -> (Show Advance Options) -> Notificator Service and check if it is activated as well as the EMAIL Channel is correctly set.
Does the sending of subscriptions mails work?

Setting Configuration effective date to promise date
in order management there is a system parameter OM: Configuration Effective Date, which can be set to 1.Model creation Date, 2.System Date till Booking, 3.System DAte date till Pick Realease. How can i set this parameter or the configurator model lookup date and effective date to the entered promise date?
So that every time the configurator is launched it considers the promise date a s the model lookup date and for configuration vaildation as well as BOM validation?well how about using the following procedure?

Set configure IPv6 to automatically as default.
I am using an iMac running Yosemite 10.10.1. Whenever I startup, get mail, or try to print a file, I have to go to system preferences > network > advanced, and set the Configure IPv6 to automatically from its default setting of off. For some reason it always goes back to the default “off” setting. Is there a way to make “automatically” the default setting? Thank you.
Automatic is the default. I think you need to reinstall Yosemite:
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
