BC4J; Deleting Business Components not shown in tree

How do you get these buggers out of here? I edit the application modules look at the tree there. The link is not in the tree.
I try to delete the component and it tells me it is in the tree but visually I cannot see it.
Is there any way to edit the XML to get these invisible links out of here?
Thanks,
Linda

Here's what you do:
[list=1]
[*]Expand the node in the navigator for your application module
This should show you the YourAppmoduleNameImpl.java file.
[*]Select "Debug" from the right-mouse menu on this java file.
[list]
That's it. :-)
This will start the BC4J tester in debug mode.

  • Reusable business components not found

    Hi,
    We have had this problem sporatically for quite some time now. We are using JDev 11.1.2.1.0 and are importing our business components as a jar file. We will work on our application for days and then out of the blue we receive this error when we run the application locally.
    Business Components: Unable to find referenced object
    Object: it.FAEditTable.entityobjects.Awardperiod.
    Validating Business Component: it.faedittable.viewobjects.AwardperiodView
    Owner:  it.faedittable.viewobjects.AwardperiodView.Awardperiod
    BC Project:  it.faedittable.model.Model
    I have to muck around with it until I can get it to work again. Usually requires any of removing the jar file from the libraries and classpath tab and re adding it, deleting the imported files and reimporting them, playing with the model.jpx file or rebooting my machine.
    I will usually get this message with it
    Business Components: There are warnings in this object that need correction (Model).
    One or more of the imported Business Component Projects are not on the classpath.
    Because of this, there may be missing referenced objects from the missing import(s).
    Import: Model
    this is becoming quite annoying to say the least.
    If anyone has any insight or a possible reason for this it will be greatly appreciated!
    thanks
    Lana

    Hi,
    thank you for the replies. I have checked and the classpath is in the correct location. I have removed/re added the jar file, closed/re opened the application and rebooted my machine but was still getting the errors. Because this is a converted application (from 10g) we now have two model.jpx files.
    The model.jpx file that was created in 10g (which is where the error was referencing) had a line that was pointing to a directory in the jar file that doesn't exist so I simply removed it and the rebuild was successful. Just for the heck of it I readded the code and it still works! This code also existed in the 10g version (I was assuming the model.jpx that was created in 10g was not referenced in 11g but that is where my errors are coming from).
    We have had in the past, success with altering the code in the model.jpx files both 10g and 11g - it usually involves removing or adding one or more containee tags. What we have noticed however, and this may or may not be related is only some of our tables can be seen in the 'imports' page of the model.jpx. For example, we have separated our tables into different folders in the jar component - all tables related to FA are placed in FAEditTable folder, all AR tables are placed in AREditTable folder for ease of use. When the model.jpx file is created there are several containee tags which are referencing (in the PackageName) the different folders in the jar file. Also created at that time is one AppContainee tag which points to the reusable jar file. When we open the model.jpx file and click on the Imports link in the Overview tab only those folders that do NOT have entries by way of the containee tag display the 'Contents' of that package as displayed below in the Imports page
    Packages from Model:
    it.FAEditTable.entityobjects
    it.AREditTable.entityobjects
    Contents of it.AREditTable.entityobjects:
    AccountsReceivable
    AccountPaidDate
    The contents of FAEditTable.entityobjects will not display any tables but the AREditTable.entityobjects will (AccountsReceivable and AccountPaidDate). The FAEditTable folder has a containee tag in the model.jpx file but the AREditTable does not. The source of the model.jpx would look like this:
    <Containee
    Name="entityobjects"
    ObjectType="JboPackage"
    PackageName="it.FAEditTable.entityobjects" />
    <AppContainee
    Name="Model"
    ObjectType="JboProject">
    <DesignTime>
    <Attr Name="_SourceName" Value="ReusableComponents.jar"/>
    </DesignTime>
    </AppContainee>
    I hope this makes sense to everyone. I may try excluding the model.jpx file that was created in 10g for awhile and see if the problem happens again.
    This jar file issue was also a problem when we were using 10g versions.
    Trying to reproduce this error would be a daunting task as this application was created in 10g then converted over to 11g. I would also have to add the HRSchema tables to a new project and deploy as a jar file but if I find anything else I will let you know Chris!!
    again, thanks for the help!

  • BC4J: Debugging Business Components

    In have to debug some customized business components. So far I did deploy them to a local OC4J instance, and used the JDeveloper remote debugger, to debug them. This works fine.
    The only problem is, that it takes about 2 to 4 Minutes to deploy the BC. To gain development speed I thought, I use a local configuration, running the client (Tester/Business Component Browser) and the business component itself in the same VM.
    How do I start or configure the tester (Business Component Browser), so that it runs in the debugger, to debug my business components?
    I did not find any documentation on this.

    Here's what you do:
    [list=1]

  • Business Components not available while using Model Configurator in ID

    Hi,
    In ESR:
    I created a ProcessIntegrationScenario PIS_myScenario (and completed with sender and receiver components, actions etc)
    In ID:
    I created and activated two BusinessComponents: BC_A and BC_B
    I created a new Configuration Scenario: CS_Test, and selected Type of ES Repository Model:"Process Integration Scenario".
    and launched "Model Configurator".
    Now in the step "Assign Components" i see a tab "Assign Business System Components for A2A Configuration" , in that for "Communication Component" value, when i tried to select from the value list, it is only showing the Business Systems and not the Business Components BC_A and BC_B.
    By using the "Model Configurator" how can we create scenarios using the "Business Components" instead of "Business Systems".
    as i am trying the test scenarios, i want to use Business Components, i.e business services in earlier versions.
    I also opened the Business Components BC_A and BC_B and added the corresponding inbound and outbound service interfaces in the receiver and sender tabs.
    after that also, the Business Components are not visible for selecting from within Model configurator.
    let us know if its possible

    thanks abhishek for your reply.
    as mentioned in the reference link given by you, i edited the Process Integration Scenario in ESR, i ticked the checkbox "External Party with B2B Communication", and activated.
    In ID, in Model configurator, i can now see and select the Business Components BS_A and BS_B.
    but when i try to generate the configuration objects, it says: Not Configurable: Component view only contains external application components.
    so cannot proceed with Model configurator with Business components, in my scenario.
    seems i need to use only Business Systems.

  • Switcher components not shown in View Source

    Hello Everyone,
    I have a .jsff fragment with a Switcher having two facets Facet-A and Facet-B.The default facet is Facet-A and the facet is switched based on the value of a SelectOneChoice outside the switcher.
    Facet-A has a different SelectOneChoice(with a label) component inside it while Facet-B has a InputText(with a label) component inside it. The switching between facets is working properly at runtime.
    Now, I have written a javascript function in the .jsff itself. This javascript function tries to get the id of InputText of Facet-B at the runtime. But it is not able to do so whereas when I tried the same code to get id of SelectOneChice of Facet-A it is running fine.
    When I searched the source of the page at runtime there is no component corresponding to the Switcher,Facet-B and the InputText inside it. I am able to see the source of label and SelectOneChoice of Facet-A.
    How do I get the id of Facet-B components at runtime?

    This looks to be the functionality of the af:switcher tag.
    The basic solution is not to use it, but setup your own set of components with EL logic to be "visible" based on the selectOneChoice value. Ensure to use the "visible" property and set the "clientComponent" property of the components you want to be delivered to the client.
    CM.

  • Mobile Catalogs not shown in tree structure

    Hallo,
    I transferd in Elements Organizer 12 four local albums to mobile albums. After having done that by drag and drop and after a long time for synch/uploading, the four albums have disappeared, an all photos are in the catalog "Moblie Alben"
    Since Adobe support is a catastophe, this is my last hope.... Who has an idea how to solve this.
    Guido

    Dear Adaleeb,
    Thank you. I checked prferencies in Elements and checked box für "Automatisch auf alle meine Katalogmedien zugreifen". Unfortunately no solution.
    When I restart Elements it shows like this and no expansion is possible:
    When I transfer the album Mil_lösch to Mobile Albums, the Albums are expanded!
    Next time I start Elements we are again with view 1 without albums in Mobile Fotos....

  • Can not see the menu of New Business Components Package in jdeveloper

    I am just follow the developer guide.
    and when I create the Business Components Package, the guide said that
    ========================================
    In the JDeveloper Navigator, select the OA Project where you want to create your package.
    From the main menu, choose File > New to open the New Object Gallery.
    In the Categories tree, expand the Business Tier node, and select Business Components (BC4J).
    In the Items list, select Business Components Package to open the Business Components Package Wizard. You can also right-click on the OA Project and select New Business Components Package to navigate directly to the Business Components Package Wizard.
    =====================================
    In fact I can not see the menu about Business Components (BC4J) in the File/new/buisness tier/Business Components (BC4J).
    I can only see the File/new/buisness tier/ADF Business Components.
    And can not find the "Business Components Package" under ADF Business Components either.
    I am using the JDev Extension for OA (p5856648_R12_GENERIC.zip) and EBS 12.0.0.
    And I create an OA Workspace and OA Project.
    can anyone help?

  • The major difference between Oracle BC4J with WebSphere Business Components

    Hi BC4J/ADF experties:
    who could help to explian the difference betweenn IBM WebSphere Business Components(San Francisco) with Oracle BC4J(ADF) ? , the both product to emphasize Component-based developemnt but WebSphere Business Components have been define some enterprise base component that can provide extend and customize. how do you look up on this product strategy for developer ?

    I guess one difference is who can use it, for IBM components:
    Available for ISVs and Technology Partners only, and requires that the ISVs and Technology Partners have either a SanFrancisco Technology License Agreement, SanFrancisco Version 2 Development License or a SanFrancisco Version 2.1 OEM agreement and an appropriate transaction document executed under the respective base agreement.
    BC4J is for use by anybody who uses JDeveloper.
    IBM's solution seems to lock you into using Webssphere, with BC4J you can use whichever application server you want.
    I guess the problem is to find someone "who could help to explian IBM WebSphere Business Components" - I can't seem to find a good expenation of what it does, but it seems to be a set of functional components that do specific tasks.
    This is not what BC4J is about.
    IBM's solution forces you to use EJB. BC4J gives you a choice of deployment options.
    To understand what BC4J give you read:

  • Tables not shown in connections tree for DB2 databases

    Hi!
    I often use SQL Developer to connect to our DB2 databases. However, when I expand the desired schema in a DB2 database, the Tables node is empty, although it should not be. There are tables in that schema and I can select data from them, so security is not an issue:
    For example:
    select tabschema, tabname from syscat.tables where tabschema not like 'SYS%' order by 1,2;
    returns many schema names and table names is those schemas. Let's pick one, i.e table name METER_TYPE in schema METER ( there are 4 tables in schema METER)
    select count(*) from meter.meter_type
    returns: 38
    However, the Tables node shows no tables. Tese tables are not Aliases (DB2 slang for synonyms) or views, however, those 2 nodes are also empty when they should not be - we have schemas with aliases and views, which are also NOT shown. The Index node is populated most frequently, but not completely (there are indexes missing).
    Here are my details (don't be fooled by java 1.7, the behaviour is the same with 1.6):

    It doesn't sound like this is the answer in your case, but here is a problem I had with tree icons in 6i which took me a while to figure out.
    For some unknown and probably pointless reason, forms converts the tree query to uppercase before executing it. This can cause problems if the sql contains any hardcoded strings. In my case I was doing something like
    decode(status,1,'red',2,'green')||icon_name
    this resulted in REDicon when my icon was actually redicon.gif

  • Associations and Links does not load when creating Business Components

    Hi guys,
    I am having a problem when I create my business components from table. Let's say that I start a new fusion web application. I then create my business components, enter the proper database connection settings. After everything is done, I am only getting my entities and my views, without any associations and links.
    The thing is that it worked the first time. Everything loaded as it should. I then asked a collegue of mine to try on his computer. Surprise, everything loads perfectly just like it did the first time I did it.
    I then tried on one of my linux virtual machine, via the same PC that I am having the problem. Again, the same problem, even if this is another JDeveloper instance (vm).
    I have read the thread 2187263 that mentions to re-create the DB connection. Again, it is not working.
    Associations and View Links missing in JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.1.4
    I saw this under the "Messages - Log" tab in JDeveloper :
    Aug 7, 2012 11:09:06 AM oracle.jdbc.driver
    SEVERE: 3F794B56 Throwing SQLException: 3
    Aug 7, 2012 11:09:06 AM oracle.jdbc.driver
    SEVERE: 6C9DD8BE Throwing SQLException: ORA-00936: missing expression
    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.
    Any help would do, since I do not want to uninstall JDeveloper and reinstall it again and again...

    Yes. In SQL Developer, when I click "Modify" on one of my tables, and then on "Foreign Keys", I can see them all.
    Like I said, it worked on a different workstation, and it worked before on my computer.

  • Business Rules:Non-oracle db connections not shown in the ADF-BC Facts sect

    Hi everyone
    I'm working with Oracle BPM 11.1.1.5.0
    JDeverloper: 11.1.1.5.0
    Database : SQL Server 2008.
    I'm trying to create some rules based on some value in my tables in the database.
    The problem:
    My non-oracle DB connections are not shown in my Business rule, in the ADF-BC Facts section on the Facts tab.
    I have two oracle db connections and one SQL Server connection, and all three have been working perfectly before.
    But in the business rules facts section, when I want to add a new ADF-BC fact, only the oracle connections are shown.
    I have tried recreating all of them a few times, re registering my sqljdbc jar file, creating a new test application from scratch, but none seems to work.
    Can some one give me any hint please?
    Thanks in advance

    has anyone else had this problem ?

  • Database objects not displaying in Business components wizard

    2] Entered the name and the package and in the schema object lov, do not see the list of all the tables at all and also the Database Schema is disabled.
    I have connected to the database from JDeveloper using database connections, but do not while creating an Entity object. Can you pls help me resolve this.
    Version of Jdeveloper is 11.5.10(CU3)

    Select your project in Jdev, right click and select "Edit business components project". In the new window check the value used for connection.

  • Displaying ALV agan with deleted record not shown....

    Hello Gurus,
    I am working on ALV. The ALV deipalys data froma custom table. Now I have created a Button in application toollbar saying 'Delete'. I have wrirren logic  in 'ALV_UC (i_callback_user_command) so that when user pushes 'Delete' button, the data record gets deleted from custom table.
    call function 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
           exporting
                i_callback_program       = lv_progname
                i_callback_pf_status_set = 'ALV_STAT'
                i_callback_user_command  = 'ALV_UC'
    *            i_callback_top_of_page   = 'TOP_OF_PAGE'
                is_layout                = is_layout
                it_fieldcat              = field_lst
    *            is_variant               = g_variant
                it_event_exit            = gt_event_exit
                i_save                   = 'A'
                it_sort                  = it_sort
                i_screen_start_column    = i_start_col
                i_screen_start_line      = i_start_ln
                i_screen_end_column      = i_end_col
                i_screen_end_line        = i_end_ln
           tables
                t_outtab                 = p_outtab
           exceptions
                program_error            = 1
                others                   = 2.
    Now, I want the ALV to be dsiplayed with that deleted record not shown. How can I do this ? Is there a Refresh function or something  ?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Rajesh.

    Hello Rajesh
    A quick view into the documentation of IMPORTING parameter I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND would have answered your question:
    Within the USER_COMMAND callback routine set
    REFRESH = 'X'.  " That's all
    EXIT routine for command handling
       Description
         Passing an EXIT routine indicates to the ALV that the application wants
         to respond to certain function codes.
         Generally, these are function codes that are unknown to the ALV (that
         is, are not standard ALV functions) and that were defined and set by a
         user status.
         See also the documentation on parameter  I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET.
         The interface of the form routine specified must be defined as follows:
                 FORM user_command  USING r_ucomm LIKE sy-ucomm
                                          rs_selfield TYPE slis_selfield.
         Parameter R_UCOMM contains the function code triggered.
         Structure RS_SELFIELD contains the following information:
         o   tabname  : Name of the internal output table
         o   tabindex : Index of the internal output table
         o   fieldname: Field name
         o   endsum   : Cursor is located on the totals line
         o   sumindex : If >0, the cursor is located on a subtotals line
         o   value    : Value of the field on the list
         o   refresh  : (Exporting) List should be set up again
         o   col_stable:(Exporting) Keep column position when list is set up
             again
         o   row_stable:(Exporting) Keep row position when list is set up again
         o   exit      :(Exporting) Exit list (and ALV)
         o   before_action: Call before standard action execution
         o   after_action : Call after standard action execution, before list
             setup
         o   ignore_multi : Internal use
         o   sel_tab_field: Internal use
         The EXIT routine is called whenever a function unknown to the ALV is
         triggered or if the routine call before/after the execution of a
         standard function code has been defined by interface parameter
         IT_EVENT_EXIT.
         See also the documentation on parameter IT_EVENT_EXIT.
         The function code and the current cursor position are then passed on to
         the calling program through the EXIT routine.
         If the user has selected multiple rows by selecting checkboxes, the
         output table field designated as the checkbox contains the current state
         of the checkbox in the list.
    Regards
      Uwe
