BC4J Designer generator problem (key based link)

Hi,
I have created an module in Designer. This module has a key based link to another tables usage of a different module, based on a foreign key constraint. I have tried to generate BC4J objects in JDeveloper 9.0.3 from this modul relationship and I got an error message:
'Module VepCrmCtrPackage: KeyBasedLink contains or references an object outside the current workarea. This module cannot be generated.'
Could Anybody help me?

I assume the table will have relationships with other occurrences of the same table. Then you need a Foreign key to the primary key of the table. After that the generator will consider this relationship as a master detail and will generate the Form.

Generating RSA keys based on p, q, and public exponent

Hi,
The problem is the following. I need to generate an RSA key pair on the card based on pre-defined P, Q and public exponent. The KeyPair specs syas that if the public exponent is pre-initialized it will be retained. All other values are overwritten though (I checked with a test applet on jcop41). So two questions:
1. Do you know of any card that can also retain p and q and generate (calculate) dp, dq, pq, and public modulus. This is contrary to the specification so I doubt there would be any, but it is always good to ask.
2. Do any of you have a Java code that would do this (ie. calculate the missing key components) that can be run on Java Card, ie. does not use BigInteger or similar classes.

That is exactly the point I was trying to make, I actually forgot about this thread, because the problem at hand went on the shelf for the moment. To reformulate:
1. I have only certain parts of the RSA key, but enough parts to determine a valid private/public key pair.
2. Now I want to generate the missing parts on the card. The JC API requires all the parts to be supplied, it is not possible to provide only partial (but determining the whole key) key information. The KeyPair class can only retain the public exponent during key generation, but not the other parts (according to the specs and my own tests).
3. My wild guess is that it would probably be doable without too much hassle with host JCE, but it's not an option for me, it has to be done on the card.
4. I could try to write my own Java Card code that would do this based on, say, openssl implementation, but now I am too lazy, so that's why I asked if somebody possibly has the code that does this.

How to generate a Unique key based on a some String value

Hello every one,
I am sorry , If I post this question in wrong group... I have a requirement to generate a unique key ( what every it may be alpha, numeric or alpha numeric) based on some String..
For ex : String str = "AbCX" - Gives a unique key based on "AbCX" value..
Is there any way we can get the unique value using Java ?

May be not what you are looking for, but here's may idea:
use a sequence (db sequence) and add it the the string value. This way the value is unique, because the sequence is unique. So you could omit the string theoretically, but your requirement is met.
It's very easy to get a unique sequence number from the db using java, depending of the technology you use (which you did not say :-( )

Problem with object view with primary-key based object identifier

I met such problem.
t1 is persinstent-capable class:
class t1 : public PObject { .... };
T1OV is object view, based on object table T1OT
I1 is primary key of the table T1OT.
Next code:
t1* t = new (conn, "T1OV") t1(...);
conn->commit();
try
t->markDelete();
conn->commit(); // exception throws here
Works fine if T1OV defined as:
create view t1ov of t1 with object identifier default
as select * from t1ot;
And throws an exception
"ORA-22883: object deletion failed"
if:
create view t1ov of t1 with object identifier (I1)
as select * from t1ot;
Such problem also occurs when object view is based on relational table/view (OID is primary-key based).
Also it occurs when
t->markModified() used insted of t->markDelete()

You can specify constraints on views and object views. You define the constraint at the view level using the out_of_line_constraint clause. You define the constraint as part of column or attribute specification using the inline_constraint clause after the appropriate alias.
Oracle does not enforce view constraints. However, operations on views are subject to the integrity constraints defined on the underlying base tables. This means that you can enforce constraints on views through constraints on base tables.
Restrictions on View Constraints
View constraints are a subset of table constraints and are subject to the following restrictions:
You can specify only unique, primary key, and foreign key constraints on views. However, you can define the view using the WITH CHECK OPTION clause, which is equivalent to specifying a check constraint for the view.
Because view constraints are not enforced directly, you cannot specify INITIALLY DEFERRED or DEFERRABLE.
View constraints are supported only in DISABLE NOVALIDATE mode. You must specify the keywords DISABLE NOVALIDATE when you declare the view constraint, and you cannot specify any other mode.

Problem with portlets with XSLT generating dynamic portal compatible links

We're using XSLT to transform XML data to HTML in a portlet. The problem is that
the XML contains headlines and we need to create links to the complete article,
which has to be displayed in the same portlet. How do I create a portal comaptible
link with XSLT? In the JSP you can use the netui tag library like:
<netui:anchor action="..">
link
<netui:parameter name="id" value="{id}"/>
</netui:anchor>
but how can I achieve this with XSLT? We tried generating the xsl with a jsp,
but this doesn't work since the data entered in the value attribute of the netui:parameter
tag will be encoded causing the XSL transformer to fail.
Is there an easy solution to this? Or can XSLT only be used with very simple content?

For example, "t" generates "tr", "y" generates "yu", "backspace" generates "backspace" plus "IBM access connections", "m" generates "mn" and "n" generates "mn". Not all keys are wrong.
For what it's worth, the odd behaviour started shortly after a trip to Miami in which I had a meeting at a cafe in which we were undercover but it was pouring cats and dogs - it was like having a meeting in a sauna - so I am wondering if the high humidity could have caused the behaviour.
I tried replacing the keyboard but the new keyboard has the same problem.
The machine in question is a Thinkpad T23 running Windows XP Pro
Any help would be appreciated as I am now in Los Angeles using a borrowed Mac! :-)

Problem in generating TDES key

I am trying to generate a key using JCE build in JDK1.5.0 using the following command:
KeyGenerator keygen = KeyGenerator.getInstance("DES-EDE3");
But the program return an exception
java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException:DES-EDE3 KeyGenerator not available.
Is there anything wrong?

If you generated your original schema using toplink.ddl-generation, then later dropped it and created it then you should keep in mind the sequence table does not get dropped. This can lead to an initially 'empty' database with a PK sequence starting at '2' if you have one persistence unit and one entity. Can you steadily duplicate this or did you just notice that your persist started with an key of '2'? Just a thought.

How to generate a form based on PL/SQL-procedures instead of tables?

Hi all,
I'm trying to generate a form based on a package, which has procedures for insert/update/delete/select. In Forms, this is no problem. It is unclear to me how to do this in Oracle Designer (10g). Online Help of Designer doesn't clear things up a lot, it seems I have to generate a table API and a module component API. But when I do this, these are generated as file and no definitions are created in Designer. So what do I base my block on?
Can somebody assist me in this?

CG_REF_CODES Fail to generate in Designer Generator

When generating domains from designer, CG_REF_CODES is being used to store dynamic domains.
JHeadstart seems to have a problem with CG_REF_CODES. There isn't any component generated to use the CG_REF_CODES. We created the business component for the CG_REF_CODES manually. This results in a Business Component where a rowid as primary key is added to the fields. When we start to use the designer generator, everything works fine. After that, with the application generator the processing stops immediately. Even if we pull out all the references from the module to CG_REF_CODES, this fails when applying the application generator.
Some notes must be made:
1. The forms in Designer are Headstart Forms, which means the forms were originally generated by Headstart and afterwards they were modified by the developer. We know this is not very correct, but this is what we have at the moment.
2. The forms can be found as source file only.
3. Through reverse engineering a module is generated from the src form file.
We have some questions:
1. Does JHeadstart work with reverse engineered forms, which were originally created with Headstart ?
2. Does JHeadstart work with reverse engineered forms anyhow ?
3. What's the deal with CG_REF_CODES ?
We spoke to Ton van Kooten (Oracle Netherlands) and he asked us to post this message.

The answer to questions 1 and 2 is yes. JHeadstart reads the designer metadata, it doesn't care how this metadata is created.
Dynamic domains in CG_REF_CODES are migrated by the JDG to a static domain defined in DomainDefinitions.xml.
You can change this after running the JDG as you suggested:
- create View Objects for each domain in CG_REF_CODES (with the where clause filtering on the domain name)
- In the Application Structure editor create a Lookup element on the attribute that should have the dynamic domain. In the Lookup element you can specify the appropriate domain ViewObject
- Remove the static domain reference created by the JDG: open the JHeadstart BC4J property editor on the ViewObject, select the attribute that should have the dynamic domain and clear the "Domain" property.
I am not sure the problem you have with runing the JAG is related to CG_REF_CODES. Can you try it with a fresh migration:
- create new project
- run the JDG
- run the JAG
- compile and run the application

Create RSA keys based on p and q

Is there a way to create a KeyPair based on p and q (BigIntegers or byte[])
The reason i need this is because i need to encrypt files that need to be decrypted in a c# program (and vice versa). The encryption needs to be RSA (so no DES or....) although i know that there is not really a need for asymetric encryption.
The problem is I can generate a keypair in Java but then i cannot get the data for that keypair in c# (and vice versa).
In c# i can create an equivalent of a keyPair based on p and q or on so if there would be a way to get the p and the q of a generated keypair that would also help (or all the other paramets, d, n, e, phi,....).

You can generate a PKCS8 private key bytes and X509 public key byte using something like
            final KeyPairGenerator rsaKeyPairGenerator = KeyPairGenerator.getInstance("RSA");
            rsaKeyPairGenerator.initialize(2048); // or whatever size you want
            final KeyPair rseKeyPair = rsaKeyPairGenerator.generateKeyPair();
            // The private key as PKCS8 bytes
            final byte[] privateKeyAsBytes = rseKeyPair.getPrivate().getEncoded();
            // The public key as X509 bytes
            final byte[] publicKeyAsBytes = rseKeyPair.getPublic().getEncoded();then you can import the X509 into C# (C# must have a way of importing an X509).
OR
do a similar thing in C# and export the X509 public key and import it into Java.
The private key should only be used by either the C# or Java application (not both) and I would expect whichever needs the private key should generate the key pair.

Designer Generated web programs

When I generate pl*sql based web programs and try run them I get the following errors:

I've got the htp and relate packages installed, and the WSGL packages installed under a new user WEBTOOLKIT. I've create public synonyms, granted execute on them to public but when I use them I get the messages above. I've checked and all the packages are valid. it's like some form of permissions problem. Any help would be appreciated.

How to generat multiple invoices based on per employee/contractor/services?

Hello Experts / Dina,
I am in situation where customer is in business of body shopping and charges to his final customer based on individual invoice / per employee /contracor & customer services. This was happening in legacy system but after the implementation of Oracle Project costing and Oracle Project billing, customer is not able to generate invoices per employee services. Rather consolidated invoices are getting generated.
How to achieve this functionality in oracle project billing?
Lets take example - On Project P1 for customer ABC, 3 below employees are working on different task for 3 months.
Now after one month employees have been billed as shown below.
Emp 1 - 1000 USD - for 100 Hrs
Emp 2 - 2000 USD - for 200 Hrs
Emp 3 - 1000 USD - for 50 hrs
Now @ end of the month when invoice is getting generated is 1 invoice including 3 lines of amount total 4000 USD. There is problem; customer wants that there should be 3 different invoices per employee shoud generated based on above mentiond 3 diff lines for customer ABC.
I guess with oracle projects billing - You can split the invoice based on Accrue through date ( which is not possible in this case ) and agreement ( which is also not possible in this case ) and different currency ( which is again not possible in this case) - I may be wrong when saying it is not possible. plz correct me if I am wrong.
even I guess billing extension wont work. So is there any way to achive this?
Right now only option i am thinking is let single invoice of 4000 USD with 3 different lines should pass to AR and while priniting the invoice customer can create 3 diff prints which includes individual lines. and while applying receipts on the single invoice in the system, customer can apply the receipts to indivual lines.
but I am not sure about AUDIT issues.. Can some one think about any AUDIT issues comes to this approch or issues with TAX rounding amount issues ?
Infact I would like to solve this issue with the help of Oracle Projects billing and not with custom invoice print program. I guess someone from you experts can figure it out to generate muiltple invoice based on employees / suppliers / contractors / materials etc.
A suggestion on Extension / customization / seeded functionality of Oracle Project billing on thi issue would be gr8 help.

First of all thanks for your update :-) Your solution looks much promising.
I thought of using billing extension but rejected on the ground that I would end up in generating events based on employee for their corsponding billig amounts so finally generating a consolidated invoice only in One GDI run. But what i was missing was pre-processing extension and running the extention in loop based on employee count.
I am fully sure business would not have any issues of auto approving and releasing invoice upon generation. But my question is "is it possible to just approve the invoice & not release it using auto approve and release extension?" The reason is I think when GDI runs it only deletes Unapproved invoice & spare Approve invoices. - So please suggest.
Also please validate my understanding about your solution with an existing example -
As with the current example, there are 3 EMP presents so need to run GDI 3 times and develop pre-processing ext in a such a way that at each time it will put on hold on all the billable items except EMP1, and EMP2 and EMP3 on each consecutive run respectivly. And ensure that Auto Approve and release extension should be used in order to avoid overriding previously generated invoice? Am I right ?

Problems with Dinamic Link between Premiere pro CC and After Effects CC

I'm having serious problems with dinamic link between premiere pro and after effects, really serious problems that have 2 big projects in trouble (a documentary and a video clip) and I had to redo all the work pipeline to the consumer.
The documentary for a spanish TV was made on CC 2014 and a video clip was made on CC. Both of them with a lot of after effects composition in the premiere pro timeline. Render freeze, a lot of playback issues, and many more problems... Until I decided to remove these links between premiere and after effects and render out all the after effects compositions one by one and insert as clips in premiere pro. 1 week working away with back and fourth.
I've got a huge workstation:

32Gb ram
GTX780 3gb
256 gb system ssd
2 Tb project storage
*All my hardware and software are update.
I know that a lot of folks are on the same huge problem and I want to ask everyone:
How do you save this?
What is your pipeline?
Are there any solution?

Based on another comment sent to me, here is what did.
In PProCC
File > Adobe Dynamic Link > New After Effects Composition
In AECC
From that composition created from PPro, I imported the project (aep) initially created in AECC from another team member. Saved the file.
Back in PProCC
File > Adobe Dynamic Link > Import After Effects Composition
Magic.

Good morning,
Here is how I have solved this problem.
1. The select statement in the sql for the report should not include the BLOB column. I decided to select only 2 columns, the column that has the key and the column with the filename.
2. On the first column ( the primary key ) I put in the format statement that was simply DOWNLOAD:TABLENAME:BLOB_COLUMN:PRIMARY_KEY
This works. I believe that the Oracle error I was getting was because I was trying to apply this format statement to the actual BLOB column.
So, it appears that you can use any of the columns in the report to hold the DOWNLOAD format statement since in the format statement, you are defining the BLOB table, BLOB column and the primary key into that column.
