LVS error
Hello
We installed the LVS 1.0 in our clients servers. We have one big problem with only one.
We started the LVS service and just starting we can find this message error in the system log (Application):
DataManagerService.ReceiveEventInfo: String or binary data would be truncated.
The statement has been terminated.
This message appears too many times and the result is that msdb database log file grows so fast, and the server has no free space.
Is this issue solved in LVS 2.0?
If it is not, is there any solution? Does anybody have this issue?
TIA
Agustín Marcos Cividanes
Hello Agustín,
We had the same problem on our own server. We stopped the service and later deinstalled LVS. We had big problems to shrink msdb. We found these links:
Since we have started the License Validation Service a few days ago on our SQL server the system database msdb grows about 3.2 GB. We have seen that since the service has started the service SQL/Notifications/ProcessWMIEventProviderNotification/v1.0 puts events in a special queue named WMIEventProviderNotificationQueue in database msdb. In the meantime we have over 800.000 events there.
Here it is explained how it works:
Understanding the WMI Provider for Server Events
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms181893.aspx
This helped us to shrink msdb:
We found our problem described here (in german language)
Unexpected massive growing of mdsb

Licence Validation Service LVS errors on SQL
Hi,
We are running LVS 2.1.1 and get this error message on the SQL Activity Monitor:
DataManagerService ReceiveEventInfo: Login failed for user 'sa'. ...
onError Line: 0 Column:0
And also when looking in the Event Viewer there is an error which shows:
Login Failed for user 'sa' [CLIENT: <localmachine>]
The sa password has not changed in years.
I saw Note 1502980 says I have to log any support issues on this forum.
The LVS will record one user against server concurrent access and db concurrent access but nothing for the remainder of the reports.
Please can someone help me with this.
Thanks very much,
CarolineHello Agnes,

"The event log file is full" error - SAP LVS Report Viewer 1.0
Hi Experts,
I'm getting an error when trying to generate a report in SAP LVS.
Error:
The event log file is full
How do I resolve this? Anyone encountered this error?
Thanks in advance,
CyrousHi,
It seems that the audit log mechanism is activated, at your system. But, if you didn't set the parameter DIR_AUDIT, audit log will be created under "/usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/log", not "data" folder. You can check its default value on RZ11. Revise the parameters, below;
DIR_AUDIT = <path>
FN_AUDIT = audit_++++++++.AUD
rsau/enable = 1
rsau/max_diskspace/local = <SizeOfFile>

Error al instalar la herramienta LVS
Buenos dias..

Hi Experts,
I'm getting error when trying to run a report. I already configure it correctly but I'm still getting an HTTP request error. I read few post relating to the problem but none has resolved the issue.
Another issue is that after installing LVS the server rebooted several times.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
CyrousHi Cyrous,
Did you finally solved the problem?
Have you installed the latest version of the tool available in SDN?
Please test the latest version and let us know if you have any problem.
Sorry for the delay in my answer.

Hi!
I am trying to install the LVS in my server. I am getting an error as 'Unsupported SQL Installation. My SQL Version is MS- SQL 2008 R2 .Hi
I installed the LVS add-on in MS SQL 2008 succesfully.
I was checking the LVS documentation in SDN portal and:
- it did not include description about software and limitations-
- it did not include this error.
Surely, the best option is open a message support or contact with your Local Expertise in SAP.
All the best.

"Disk read error occurred" cannot even load System Recovery
Hello,
yesterday I powered on my computer, and it was almost froze, with only the mouse moving and even the task manager not showing up when called.
I first tried to make it go in standby, as I thought it was some program which didnt start as planned. After I closed the screen , the screen went black, but the pc continued to run. I then pressed the power button, shutting the system the hard way.
After that, I powered back the pc, which now only showed "Disk read error occurred, press ctrl+alt+del to restart" and obviously this wasnt the solution. I tried resetting the BIOS, then running the diagnostics on f2: it ALWAYS passes the test the first time, then if i try to run the diagnostics again, it says "NOT INSTALLED". I tried running the system recovery on f11, but the same "disk read error" appears.
I-ve already confirmed the problem lies in the hard disk itself {hitachi 750gb}, having plugged it in another notebook with an hitachi hard disk and still showing the same problem, while the other hard disk booted just fine in my HP.
I tried with a win7 cd, both recovering and installing a new version, but they both kept frozen for about 1 hour and did nothing.
I then made a bootable USB with Trinity Recovery Kit and after a quick diagnostic, it said boot partition has "unclean" windows files and tried fixing the problem, without success. I-m now writing from a bootable USB linux distro, because i cannot find a bootable iso oh hitachi recovery program, what should I do?
Is it possible the hard disk failed so bad for an uncommon closure of the system? It looks to me like some data got corrupted.
Please help me, as I-m an academy student and I use the PC for almost everything.
Thank you.I-ve booted Boot Repair 64bit and tried repairing the boot section... i even checked the boot infos and printed an info file, can someone answer what the actual FOG is happening here?

Warning: /dev/sdb contains GPT signatures, indicating that it has a GPT table.
However, it does not have a valid fake msdos partition table, as it should.
Perhaps it was corrupted -- possibly by a program that doesn't understand GPT
partition tables. Or perhaps you deleted the GPT table, and are now using an
msdos partition table. Is this a GPT partition table?

InternalException in amAgent logs causing Error 500 in Apache 2 webserver?
Everyday, at random times of the day, there'll be a log entry that says:
Error 25233:5d8d70 PolicyEngine: am_policy_evaluate: InternalException in Service::do_update_policy with error message:Policy query failed. and code:6
And there appears to be periodical 500 errors happening, and the times of their occurrences coincides with the above amAgent exception
agent version: Version: 2.2-01
apache version: 2.0.54
Any ideas for possible causes?
Would appreciate if anyone could shed some light on what's Code:6
ThanksHi all,
we have the same problem.
Did you resolve it?
In our environment the problem occurs only when there is a certain number of concurrent users (10 or plus) and sporadically (depends on the traffic - every 5 minutes). When occurs the browser returns internal Server Error.
We have the following scenario:
LVS Load Balancer
Apache 2.0.63
Sun Policy Agent v 2.2.01 per Apache 2.0.54
LVS Load Balancer
Sun Web Server 7.0u3
Sun Access Manager 7.1
Sun Directory Server 6.3

WDDX Parse error in cfadmin Mail Spooler respool
I recently discovered that emails were not being sent and were stacked up in the spooler. In the CF Administrator interface, I verified that the mail server connection was fine and it was. I went to "View Undelivered Mail" (under mail spool settings), reviewed the emails that were stuck and selected a random message to "respool". Unfortunately, on every attempt to respool an email (one or many), I get the following error: "Error: WDDX packet parse error at line 1, column 1. Content is not allowed in prolog.."
I have restarted the windows service twice, checked my email host...all to no avail. The error still occurs.
I also unchecked the spooling option and emails (new ones only, not the spooled ones) are coming through just fine.
I'm running CF9 full on Windows XP.
How do I get the respool function working so I can send the stuck emails? all suggestions welcome./app/devtools/gcc-4.2.3-64/bin/g++ -L/home/john/sdc/lib/Linux_2.6.5-7.308.PTF.352368.0-smp.gcc-4.2.3-64 -L/home/john/oracle/lib -L/app/gcc-3.3.4/lib -L/app/gcc-3.2.3/lib -ldl -lpthread -lnsl -lrt -lstdc++ -lvs -lclntsh -L/home/cdev/pkgs/oas/Linux64/oaslinux64_2_4_05_03/lib -loas Linux_2.6.5-7.308.PTF.352368.0-smp.gcc-4.2.3-64-R/db.o Linux_2.6.5-7.308.PTF.352368.0-smp.gcc-4.2.3-64-R/owl.o Linux_2.6.5-7.308.PTF.352368.0-smp.gcc-4.2.3-64-R/queue.o Linux_2.6.5-7.308.PTF.352368.0-smp.gcc-4.2.3-64-R/log.o Linux_2.6.5-7.308.PTF.352368.0-smp.gcc-4.2.3-64-R/titan.o -o /home/amehta17/sdc/bin/Linux_2.6.5-7.308.PTF.352368.0-smp.gcc-4.2.3-64/titan

All these symbols are not defined in libclntsh.so and also does not exist in libnnz10.so.
I checked 32bit version of libnnz10.so has all above undefined symbols. This looks really weird to me why 64 bit version of libnnz10.so doesn't define these symbols.
Let me know if you have any idea.
