Bean item in e-biz apps form?

Hello All,
I am new to OAF. When I login into the dev/tst instance of the e-biz, it starts off with a <http://....> . Does it mean that our environment is OAF based? If yes, then does putting a "bean area" in the form make any sense? What is the "bean area" used for? Please help me understand with an example?

Calling java code from oracle apps form

I've created my own java .class file and am attempting to call it from an oracle applications form. I am getting a runtime error while running the form, but I don't know what the error is because nothing is being reported to me.
I've created the .java file in JDeveloper, compiled it into a .class file, deployed it to a .jar file, and placed it on the application server in a directory that the CLASSPATH can see it. I've added it to the archive parameter of the appsweb.cfg file and see that the .jar file is being downloaded when the JInitiator of Oracle Apps is started.
I have also imported the .class file into the form via the Program -> Import Java Classes which resulted in PL/SQL package stubs created to call the .class methods.
When I run the form, the java code is activated on a triggering event, PRE-INSERT. There is no java bean item in a block or on a canvas anywhere. I dont' think I need there to be since I am simply using the java code to perform actions during PRE-INSERT, not to display anything on the canvas.
I have placed debug messages throughout my code and see that the error is occuring in the PL/SQL packaged stub at the line "JNI.GET_CLASS()" where the parameter to that call is the name of my class. I know it's erroring there because I am handling the "java_error" exception. I am displaying "ora_java.last_error" in the exception handling, but it is null.
I am at a loss as to determine why I am having problems and how to display an error. Any suggestions? I'm happy to outline my steps and problem in more detail if I have missed something obvious.
We are using Forms 6.0.8.21.3 with Oracle Apps 11.5.7.

The scenario you have mentioned is very unique and something which will fit more in the forms forum. So I think that was a sincere answer to help you and not a "pass the buck" card type game :)
You are lucky that you got Tapash interested into this issue, otherwise you see there is no OAF component involved out here.
I have an article promised to some of the guys but will follow this issue.

I own a vizio tablet and a HP Officejet 100 mobile printer! I downloaded your Hp eprint home&biz app so I could print from my tablet and the download went will, I also registered via email. I went to print a form and your app could not locate my printer? Please advise,

Hi Chuck,
HP ePrint Home & Biz only provide print capabilities over wired or wireless (802.11) network connection, Bluetooth connection is not supported as well the specific model is not supported by the app.
Can I print from the HP ePrint mobile app using USB or Bluetooth?
No. You can only print directly to supported HP printers on a local wireless network.

How to place item on canvas when generating form?

Dear All
I'm using oracle designer 10g.
I have a template form called"tmplt.fmb"
The template contains a block named "Bean_block"
and one bean item
I need to place the bean item on cg$page_1.
canvas cg$page_1 is not on my template, It is generated by designer and i want to place the bean on it when generating the form by designer.
I do not know how?

actually my scenario is....
i have loaded my forms to B1....and accessing those forms using menu events...first time when form is loaded the cursor control is automatically coming on to my first control..
but when my form is changed to ADD mode or Find Mode...i'm unable to see my cursor position on my control(textBox)...
what should i do...to focus control on my textbox when form is changed its mode....
and hwere should i write the logic...
i tried logic oform.ActiveItem = oform.items.item("7").specific
in my formload() function and item events also....

HP ePrint Home&Biz app not working. Print job failure:busy message appears on tablet

I have an HP Laserjet P1102W and am trying to print from a Viewsonic tablet (android OS) using the HP ePrint Home&Biz app. I can send an email to the printer via the tablet and it prints the document with no problems.
I apologize in advance for the long message...
If I try and hit the PRINT key on the lower bar (which says 'HP Laserjet Professional P1102W (NPI7...host name), all that happens is blue & green LED's come on, green, blue flashes, green, blue flashes, green, blue flashes, then green and blue stay on steady. Just before the blue and green come on steady at the end, the "print job failure:busy" message flashes on my tablet.
I assume the sequence of LED flashes is the HP printer receiving a print command 3 times and can not perform the task because the printer thinks it is busy.
After searching for this problem on the net, it would appear I am not the only person with this issue. And yes, I have tried powering down my modem, printer, PC, and tablet and restarting all the above. Not that the PC has anything to do with it, but I am desperate.
Does anyone have a viable working solution to this problem???

To print using the HP ePrint Home & Biz app you will need to send the print from the app. AirPrint is built in to the iOS and give you the print option from emails and web pages. AirPrint is not able to work with the OfficeJet pro 8500. Hope this is helpful.

WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM results at a block/form

Hello friends at www.oracle.com ,
as we know, WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM is a trigger used for item validation. But if I use WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM at a block, or even at a form (since Oracle Forms editor allows me to add a WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM trigger at a block/form), what's the effect of it? How will WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM behave in such situation?

From forms documentation (ever considered to read it?):
A trigger must be attached to a specific object in the form, either an item, a block, or the form itself. The object to which a trigger is attached defines the scope of the trigger, and so helps Form Builder decide which trigger to fire when the corresponding event occurs. Not all triggers are relevant to all objects. For example a When-Button-Pressed trigger would not be attached to a display item.
That means, a when-validate-item-trigger at block level fires for ALL items of the block,
except those ones who have an own when-validate-item-trigger at item level that has the
property "Execution hierarchy" set to "override".

In a form I have a block with BASE TABLE=OPTIUNI_COD.
In this block I have a text item named DENUMIRE.When I run my form the text item is empty and I use F7 , F8 to have some records in the text item.
But I want to appear records in this text item when I run my form without use F7,F8.
How can I do this?

My requirement is when I give order number in header level in Oracle Apps Form, i want the lines to be displayed in lines block.
I have written the query and a cursor.
The Query returns 6 lines when passing the Order Number.
But when i use the following code in forms, the form returns only one line in the lines block.

I am looking at an issue with users not getting specific group policies.
After searching a number of client computers I found that the following error

I can find the folder in the Sysvol folder on all of the domain controllers.
The issue with end users seems to be that the proxy settings for internet explorer is not being applied.
Potential problems?

Hi all
In administering this policy I am a little confused.
We have a policy that distributes proxy settings in the internet explorer maintenance settings section - however when opening this policy up in GPO editor the internet explorer maintenance section is not present.
I plan to apply the settings via User/preferences/control panel settings/ internet settings (or registry settings from article) however I am unable to edit the settings for internet explorer maintenance and these will persist. Ideas????
