Bean's directory

Hello,
I was recently following this tutorial:
http://www.jsptut.com/Forms.jsp
when I ran into a problem. In the tutorial it asks me to place the bean's compiled code in the web server's classpath. Does anyone know which directory beans should be placed in Sun ONE Web Server 6.1, or what I should do to get through this tutorial?
Thank you in advance.

  • Problem on Beans

    I am new to Java Beans. I have tried to use a Java Beans in a

    The code is ...

    How can I solve the problem? Thx!

    try
    <%@ page import="beans.CMS.SQLConnection" %>
    otherwise check the directory beans....have you stored the
    class file in beans.CMS directory? have you specified proper

    whether you have declared package beans.CMS in the class file or
    not.

  • 403 error when trying to access a previously uploaded document in App

    I have 2 machines on one I am running WLS 10.3 with an admin server and a managed server called "dev" on a live box.
    On the other, my dev environment I upgraded from 8.1 to 10.3 so it upgraded my server to have the admin server all in one i.e. deploy apps to that server too.
    I have an app with a few entries that the deployment descriptor ( ejb-jar.xml) refers to a directory within the app, the directory is a location where files get uploaded to. It reads something like thisL
    ./app_name/web/uploads/document/
    THe documents get uploaded to the correct location on both machines, but on the machine that has the managed server and admin server I cant actually view the documents - whih are viewed through a jsp....there is a Session Bean that creates a link to the document based on an id within the database(and not the actual filename itself), for retrieving the document, which is populated in a jsp. However in the Bean the directory is set like this:
    String docUploadDir = "/upload/document/"
    so the link gets generated like this:
    www.mydomain.com/upload/document/?text=12345
    This works on the upgraded WLS version where the domain got upgraded from 8.1 to 10.3, where the admin server bundled up as the apps server as well. However under the WLS 10.3 domain i created(which base location and domain names are the same as 8.1 version) I get a Forbidden 403 error when I try and view the documents.
    Im assuming the forbidden comes about because I am trying to access a location on the machine that I shouldn't be allowed to. However where is the relative "docUploadDir" actually suppossed to exist?
    Thanks in advance!
    Paul

    Questions:
    - Did you set up a protected web realm?
    - When you click on the link to the realm, you get the block message?
    It's a little unclear what you've done to configure the web server and what you did to get the message.

    Things to check -
    1) Does the user you specified in the connection have the role OLAP_USER
    2) Does the user you specified in the connection have access to an OLAP schema (analytic workspace or CWM2 ROLAP schema)
    3) Have you installed the correct JDBC files from your database instance into the BI Beans JDBC directory

    Hi
    There appears to be 2 different errors here
    1) relates to the definition of the variable
    2) middle tier JDBC error
    You will need to create a new directory within your BI Beans OC4J directory structure something like this
    /app/oracle/product/ibi_mid/j2ee/OC4J_BIBeans/
    then copy the classes12.jar and nls_charset12.jar from your JDEV_HOME/JDBC/LIB
    this should sink the JDBC jars with the database.
    I will check out the details of the first error.

  • JNDI / EJB deployment and clustering

    I'm aware that replication isn't supported for stateful EJBs. But the
              "serialization of the handle isn't supported" statement has me concerned.
              So I'm looking for a little clarification on this scenario:
              Let's say I've got a stateful session bean, which is accessed from a
              servlet. For performance reasons, you want to find the colocated instance -
              the smart stub should do this, right? To have it colocated in all
              instances, then I need to deploy it into each server of the cluster. This
              essentially bind()/rebind()'s (whichever call the container does during a
              deploy operation) the EJB n times. Does each of those JNDI bind/rebind
              calls "overwrite" the previous one, or does the replicated JNDI tree somehow
              "keep" all the entries?
              What happens if I bind/rebind "non-cluster enabled" objects into the JNDI
              tree in each server to the same name (like a reference data table - doesn't
              really need to be an RMI object, one per server is fine)? Will they get
              "overwritten"? Should I need to take into account the server name when
              binding into the tree, and then also use that for subsequent lookups?
              Thanks for any input!
              --Jason

    Guys,
    Thanks for the information.
    The problem was that classpath, some other packages required for the Bean
    were not in the weblogic\classes directory.
    so that was it.

    Are you using the HOT DEPLOY feature(startweblogic.bat does it)?
    Then you could go to the WebLogic Console, select the Bean, and Redploy.
    You could also do it from a command line utility "weblogic.deploy".
    If you didn't start the server with the hot deploy, you need to restartyour
    server after any changes.
    You should read the weblogic docs on the Hot Deploy feature. A different
    classloader is used for it. Also, the standard weblogic classpath cannot
    coexist with it.
    Hot Deploy uses: (assuming your weblogic installation is in D:/WebLogic
    D:\WebLogic\classes/boot
    It will throw an exception if you have D:\weblogic\classes or
    D:\WebLogic\lib\weblogicaux.jar in the system classpath. You need to use
    the weblogic.classpath instead.

    Hello,
    I have created bunch of EJB Components and deployed for WLS4.0 using the
    following way. It works fine under WLS4.0
    To compile java code -> javac *.java
    Create SER file -> java weblogic.ejb.utils.DDCreator -d .
    DeploymentDescriptor.txt
    Create JAR file -> jar cmf manifest Bean.jar /directory
    EJBC and deployment -> java weblogic.ejbc -d /targetDirectory Bean.jar
    and also add an entry in the welogic.properties file
    weblogic.ejb.deploy= ...
    When I do the samething in the WLS4.5, it doesn't work, first of all,
    JNDI
    is not finding the home interface. It throws a naming Exception
    please give me an idea hw do I deploy my Beans in the WLS4.5 using the
    command line option. I don't have Visual Cafe to do that automatically.So
    I
    have to do that manually.

    I run on Windows XP with Java SDK 1.4.0, and I had the same problem. I was able to fix it by making the following two changes:
    In ExplicitButtonBeanInfo.java, I changed the first "actionPerformed" to "action" since it is an ActionEvent that is passed to actionPerformed:
    Changed from:
    EventSetDescriptor push = new EventSetDescriptor(beanClass,
    "actionPerformed",
    java.awt.event.ActionListener.class,
    "actionPerformed");
    to:
    EventSetDescriptor push = new EventSetDescriptor(beanClass,
    "action",
    java.awt.event.ActionListener.class,
    "actionPerformed");
    For the second problem, in BridgeTesterBeanInfo.java, I changed the first "vetoableChange" to "propertyChange" since it is a PropertyChangeEvent that is passed to vetoableChange:
    Changed from:
    vetos = new EventSetDescriptor(btClass,
    "vetoableChange",
    java.beans.VetoableChangeListener.class,
    "vetoableChange");
    to:
    vetos = new EventSetDescriptor(btClass,
    "propertyChange",
    java.beans.VetoableChangeListener.class,
    "vetoableChange");
    After rebuilding the jar files, everything seemed to work fine. Based on the design pattern, this seems to be the way it should be, and I am a little puzzled as to why the BDK works without these modifications on other systems. Clearly it does though.

    at com.thortech.xl.adapterGlue.ScheduleItemEvents.adpADDUSERTOADGROUP.implementation(adpADDUSERTOADGROUP.java:49)
    This is definitely a Custom Adapter because OOTB Adapter name is adpADCSADDUSERTOGROUP and NOT adpADDUSERTOADGROUP
    So, it is your custom code and in the code you are passing incorrect value of the Active Directory Child process form...
    The correct name is UD_ADUSRC and the Group Name column name is UD_ADUSRC_GROUPNAME.
    While you are passing UD_AD_CHILD as the child process form and UD_AD_CHILD_GRP_NAME as Group Name column name..
    Use OOTB Adapter... Correct these discrepancies... Your addition of group will work
    And since you are creating custom adapter, you need to be more careful and remain consistent throughout..
    Then if you want to use UD_AD_CHILD_GRP_NAME, use it everywhere consistently... Pass only this value in the adapter...
    And even in lookups, if any... Search everywhere... Keep things consistent... They will work... Because good news is that you are able to create user in AD via Java Code...
    And if any post is even slightly helpful, it is a good habit to mark it with helpful or correct ... And also mark the entire question as answered so that other people also are benefited.

  • Get filename and full path from Forms on local directory in MS Windows

  • Filename extension in Payload Swap bean

    Hi Experts
    I have a scenario Proxy to FTPS , where I have to send an excel attachment. I have used payload swap bean in receiver channel and it is working fine as I am now able to see attachment in final destination folder however since the file name is coming from ECC and we are using dynamic configuration in PI to handle this. excel attachment is missing the extention .xls when it is being triggered from ECC and therefore in FTP folder file is getting generated but with no extention.
    I have added the extention .xls (as per the MIME header) in dynamic config and also tried to use concat function to achieve this extention to be added as final name of the file but when I did above adjustments I can see the correct name being generated in Main payload in SAP PI receiver channel monitoring but not in final destination folder, file still looks same as earlier (without any extention) , I believe since I am using payloadswapbean in module whatever I am getting in Mainpayload is being swapped by excel attachment values but not sure why the correct extention is not being shown up at final destination folders.
    Please suggest how can I get the correct file name in destination folder with the help of SAP PI, I know I can do this if ECC will add .xls in attachment name.

    Hi Mohit,
    I have tested the same scenario and it is working with PayloadSwapBean and DynamicConfiguration in the mapping and the file name correctly placed in the target.
    Receiver File CC:
    Dynamic Configuration:
    Target Directory:
    If your file name correctly set in dynamic configuration then the target file will be created correctly.
    Regards,
    Praveen.

  • Remote and Home interface binding to an EJB2.1/3.0 bean.

    When deploying a complete ejb bean,
    -What associated a bean class, within the container,
    with it's home and remote interfaces?
    -JBoss Application server requires that the Bean class
    directly implement both interfaces.
    -Assuming EJB 2.1, is this approached by
    interface implementation, a naming convention,
    a common location in a package/directory,
    or is this put in the deployment descriptor xml file?
    What is the standard approach?
    Z.

    If you have included the HTTP server with your 10.1.3.2 installation you could also setup a proxy/proxy-reverse setup in the portal http server for the /app08 mountpoint and point this to your 10.1.3.2 server....

              You realy can do it like Xiang says, but the better way is to use packages. That's
              the way BEA is designed for. If you use packages you can but your bean classes
              in every subfolder beneath Classes. Here for example we have the subfolders test
              and beans:
              You have to declare the package on top of your Bean Source Code:
              package test.beans;
              In your JSP you don't need the import code of Xiang. You only have to refer the
              path of your bean class:
              <jsp:useBean id="testBean" scope="session" class="test.beans.TestBean" />
              There are some other AppServers that only can deploy Java Beans in packages. So
              if you use packages you are always on the right side.

  • Problem with bean in a JSP page

    I have developped a JSP pages in wich I call a bean with
    <jsp:useBean id="db" scope="request" class="SQLBean.class" />
    The bean SQLBean.class is in the same directory as the JSP page.
    When I execute the JSP, I have the following error:
    SQLBean.class db = (SQLBean.class) JSPRuntime.instantiateBean("db", "SQLBean.class", "request", __db_was_created, pageContext, request, session, application);
    Syntax error: [expected after this token
    Syntax error: "]" inserted to complete ArrayAccess
    Syntax error: "AssignmentOperator AssignmentExpression" inserted to complete StatementExpression
    I use JRUN with IIS
    Thanks for the help

    I am assuming your class name is SQLBean.
    use:
    <jsp:useBean id="db" scope="request" class="SQLBean" />
    instead of:
    <jsp:useBean id="db" scope="request" class="SQLBean.class" />
