Best Way to call Dynamically an stored procedure

Hi Guys,
Here my question... I need to call dynamically to an stored procedure...
- the stored procedure can change, the name , the number of parameters
- the called stored procedure can contain output parameters.
lv_sql := 'BEGIN '|| lv_program_name || ' ( ' || get_parameters(lv_program_name) || '); END;';
get_parameters function generates an string depeding on the number of parameters that this function reads from the
oracle dictionary (i.e: ':1,:2,:3,:4......... )
then the dynamyc code must be executed as follow
execute immediate lv_sql
using .................................?????????
The issue that I am facing is how to handle the "using clause".... since before that I ran the program I dont know how many parameters the program will have...
Please your help... (or suggestion to solve in another way)

Since I dont know the stored procedure to be called, I cant know the number of parameters and its type to be returned... I mean.. to use the clause "using ...." in static way...
By now, I am creating dinamically a stored procedure... I am building a stored procedure that calls to the "unknown" stored procedure... reading the data dictionary and building dynamically the "Using...." clause... but I dont like ... since probably in production enviroment I will not have that kind of grants....
Regarding the link... I didn't know that new type... ! That's will solve the type issue... but still is pending the number of variable to provide to the "using" clause...

By "efficiency", I assume you mean, best performance/least time.
In my experience, the only way to discover this is to compare the two, since there are many factors that affect the situation.

Dynamic SQL Stored Procedure call in Pro*C Application

Hello All
Could you help with a sample Pro*C program (or snippet) which has a dynamic call to a stored procedure? The procedure to be called is determined at run time and so also the number of parameters to it.
Is this even possible using Pro*C?

We found sample pro*c programs for dynamically calling PL/SQL blocks but not for dynamically calling stored procedures.

Call to Oracle stored procedure that returns ref cursor doesn't work

I'm trying to use an OData service operation with Entity Framework to call an Oracle stored procedure that takes an number as an input parameter and returns a ref cursor. The client is javascript so I'm using the rest console to test my endpoints. I have been able to successful call a regular Oracle stored procedure that takes a number parameter but doesn't return anything so I think I have the different component interactions correct. When I try calling the proc that has an ref cursor for the output I get the following an error "Invalid number or type of parameters". Here are my specifics:

I defined a function import for the stored procedure using the directions I found online by creating a new complex type. I don't know if I should be defining the input parameter, WindfarmId, in my app.config? If I should what would that format look like? I also don't know if I'm invoking the stored procedure correctly in my service operation? I'm testing everything through the rest console because the client consuming this information is written in javascript and expecting a json format. Any help is appreciated!

I keep thinking it has to do with my oracle.dataaccess.client settings in App.Config because I don't actually put the WindfarmId and an input parameter. I tried a few different ways to do this but can't find the correct format.

Out of memory error when calling a java stored procedure multiple times

Trying to run a PL/SQL loop calling a java stored procedure, I get the following error:
"ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 262188 byte callheap,ioc_allocate free)"
(with some other error lines).
The stored procedure does two major things:
1) Open a socket to communicate with a server, of which it queries some data.
2) Use JDBC (with the default DB connection it has, as a stored procedure) to write the results to a table.
All socket connections, statements, etc. are properly closed and all memory should be garbage collected between each call.
Can anyone offer an explanation or additional checks to make? I'm quite sure the code isn't causing the problem, since I've tried running it as a stand alone application (outside of Oracle) and didn't have any problems.

On top of what jschell says, this just looks wrong in terms of how Oracle's internal Java works as well.

Is the db you are querying a different one to the one this Java is stored in?

Well, there's certainly something about that line that it doesn't like.
I'm not really familiar enough with MySQL to remote-debug this one for you, but it seems to be dying while trying to reconcile that call to its metadata for the sproc. Check the sproc declaration -does it return a single out value? Or does it have a single out value in the parameter list (not the same thing, I think) ? And so on.
Also, with the amended call that I provided is the failing stack trace identical, or slightly different? If different, could you post that too please?
Finally, do you have a known good sproc call that you can sanity check against? Perhaps take one of the examples from the MySQL site and check that that will work with their reference code?

Best way to call EJB - Servlet or Tag Library

What is the best way to call an EJB from a JSP? We are using Weblogic 7.0(moving to 8.1 beta). WE have a form on a JSP that needs to get data from an EJB. Our flow goes from JSP --> Controller servlet or tag library -->EJB "Bean" Controller ---> EJB. The specfic EJB we need to populate drop downs and fields will be called by a bean controller. Is it better to call the bean controller using a tag library in the jsp or go to the controller servlet to get the data? If servlet is the answer, where do I lookup the EJB Home and call the create from within the servlet? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

IMO, if you are following some design patterns, like the MVC framework, the best thing is to populate the model(entities that contain the business data) and call the respective getXX methods from the model on the JSP page. The reason for doing so is to keep JSP pages away from any other work other than to just display the business data contained in the respective business entities.
The model can be populated in the servlet and either set in the request or session attribute as per the requirement.
The EJB can be looked up in the servlet as and when required. I would suggest to make use of the Service Locator Pattern to do a look up for the EJB Remote Interface and accordingly make the business calls.
