BI page does not show me latest data..

Hi,
I have an application which continously updating the database which BI is referreing to.
And I am observing my BI page, I dont see the updated data. It always shows me old data. The latest data gets reflected only when I do "Update row count" in Admin tool for rpd.
Please help in resolving this.

This is a generic comment. Always have a caching strategy in place. BI EE is one of those unique toolsets that gives you wonderful caching mechanisms. But again if this is not properly used it can be a bane for most systems. So, if you are reporting out of a real-time transactional system where data changes in real time and also if you want to see ( as a report end user) these changes then disable the caching as Chino and Elio said. But if you are reporting out of a data warehouse where data changes after a weekly or a nightly cron job then just have caching in place for that period of time. You can purge the cache on a daily basis. Check my blog entry here http://oraclebizint.wordpress.com/2007/12/18/oracle-bi-ee-101332-scheduling-cache-purging/ for purging the cache. That should give you an idea. But again as always careful planning has to go through before deciding on the type of caching you would need.

Dynamic Portal Page does not show but called procedure behind it works

Hi I run into a bug that I try to solve unsuccessfully for 2,3 weeks. Here is the problem. I have portal dynamic page that execute a PL/SQL procedure to delete and insert data into a remote app table. When I compile and execute the procedure in Toad it does not give me any error or warning. But when I execute this procedure in my dynamic page the page does not show up but I check the results and data does delete and insert. So my procedure works behind the scene but the page does not display. As I look into detail of my code I found out that when I rem out the insert statement my page does show up and delete the data but when I put back the insert statement my page does not show up and data insert to the table. Here is my code structure of my procedure in plain words. I have a procedure that have a cursor for loop that
check if a certain condition exists if it is then it will delete data from the remote app table then insert a select statement data from 2 joins tables. Any one have run into similar situations like this and have any idea, please help. Thank you all.

When you have a new problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
This will open a window listing the site's cookies, which you can remove individually.
Then try reloading the page and logging back in. Does that help?

LOV does not show newly added data in the same session

Hi guys,
I work with JDeveloper 11g Release 2. We use Oracle ADF to develop our web app.
In a page we have a LOV (say the page name is "a"). The related data for that LOV is inserted to the db in another page ( say the page name is "b").
When new data is added in the page "b" and goes directly to the page "a" the LOV does not show newly added data. But if the user log out and log in again
LOV shows newly added data correctly.
Is there a way to show the newly added data in the same session without logging out? Please help.

The home page does not show the awesome bar or file,edit,view,history,ect.

The home page does not show the awesome bar or the file,edit,history,bookmarks,tools or help options anymore. how can I get these feature to come back up. All it shows now is latest headline & getting started.

New page does not show up

Hello: I have a web site hosted on Mobile Me. Tonight I added a new page to it. I placed the new page as the first page. I saved the site and published it, but the new page does not show up on the internet. Using the Inspector, i "included the page in the navigation menu," although i do not have the navigation menu displayed. Even with this step, the new page is not visible on the website on the internet. I cannot figure out what else to try. I have hit "publish entire site" and that did not make any difference.

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark. <br />
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

Page does not show data

Hi all,
I would appreciate any help for the following problem that I am facing.
I have created master-detail pages sharing the same AM.
The details page shows details of the request from 3 different VOs.
The VOs are entity-based and I modify the VOs using the setwhereclause for my purpose.
The master page runs fine and shows the searched request but when I goto the details page, it renders correctly but does not show any data.

To add to the information,the AM is also used by othe pages for logic calcuation.
After executing these pages for one of the request, when I use ther master detail page for ther same request, it works.
But for the other requests, the details page does not return any data.
I suppose this is linked with EO not getting updated/refreshed with the new search request in the master details page.
If this is supposedly the reason,then how can I refresh the EO for each master detail search?
Has anybody encountered this issue before?

Expense Report Summary page does not show any totals - only zeros

On creation of Expense Report in the portal When entering a billable expense report, when you get to the summary page is does not show any totals - only zeros for other two schema's its working fine like displaying totals
we are surprised that any custom development is hitting or anything relates with configuration

In the header of the template i also have <?CUST_NAME_INV?> and the report date. When i try to enter the <?AS_OF_DATE?> it is not printed and also the header is not shown any longer. Once again, thank you for any help,

Category Page does not show updated collection thumbnails!

Hi to all,
we have the following problem with our iTunes U site.
We changed a thumbnail in some of our collections (new picture, new filename, updated 4-5 days ago over RSS), but the automatically generated category page does still show the old picture, while on the infopage as well as the collection detail site the new picture is updated and visible since Friday.
Shouldn't be the cache be updated during one or at least 2 days?
Indeed we did change not only the picture but also the filename in our system, because we had that problem ones in the past and received the hint to change also the filename back then, so that the system would recognize the change and update the cache. For the collections it works,but not for all the collection thumbnails on the category page. Well, at least in one collection the category page shows the new one. The question is, why it doesn't do that for all the collections concerned.

Nancy,
When you create a new entries page, do not delete the example photo on the page; this removes the placeholder and effectively removes the thumbnail photo link from the main blog page to that entry page, which results in no thumbnail. Just drag your photo into the stock page photo, and the stock photo will automatically be replaced.
You will likely have to recreate the pages that are missing this placeholder.

We were on 3.0.9 and recently migrated to 9.0.2 ......and i am just trying to develop a simple page in which am adding an html portlet on the page ...my doubts are ..
1. the portlet does not show up immidiately on the page ..
2.the edited content in the html portlet does not show up on the page ???
What am i missing here ??? can some body help

Might be caching issue.
Try this:
Add : &1=2 at the end of URL in the location bar and press enter. If is appears then it is just a caching issue.

HT4928 My Mac App Store account page does not show any options for unhiding purchases.

I purchased Mountain Lion and want to re-download it to make a flash drive, but it does not appear in my purchase history. Clicking Option-Purchases doesn't change anything, and my Mac App Store account info page does not have anything regarding hidden purchases, although my iTunes account info page does. They are using the same Apple ID.

Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.

Mini Calendar does not show the correct date

Hi there ,
in iCal on the bottom left side of the window is the mini Calendar, when I switch between months in this mini Cal,it does not show the correct month anymore and even the button "Today" can not revert the day back ( for example we are now in September, when I open iCal it shows it correctly but after going to next or previous months using the triangles on this mini Cal, the problem comes up ! )

Maybe it wasn't receiving the correct info from your carrier. You're supposed to turn your phone off once in a while so the carrier can update stuff. I had originally heard that you should do it once a day but I never did that.
