BI Scheduler in OPMN is not getting up

Hi all,
I'm using OBIEE 11.1.1.5 in XP 32 bit OS. From the past week my BIScheduler service is not getting up. It is showing the status Down in OPMNCTL.
Can anybody suggest how to resolve this issue?

Hi ,
You can try the following 3 different trobleshootings :
1. Start up bimiddleware component via FMW Control (EM) by , right click and control > startup menu option .Then try restarting scheduler component .
2. Stop and start all services using,
opmnctl stopall
opmnctl startall
Then check the opmnctl status and chk whether all process are alive .
3. Check if onsclient.dll is present in path, oracle\product\10.2.0\server\BIN\onsclient.dll and are you able to import any tables into your rpd using this database .
Let me know if the issue still exists .

  • In VA01  In Schedule line Delivery date not getting populated

    Hello,
    We have developed enhancement for VA01 tcode.
    Depending upon the quatity entered for a material it should show one more item as free good.
    If quatity is 10 for a line item 10 then it should show item 20 by default same mateerial and quatilty as 1.We have done this it is working fine.
    But if we select free good item in our case it is 20 and click on schedule line item buttom all quaitity fields getting populated.but delivery date not getting populated for only free good.for line item 10 it showing properly.
    Can any one please suggest what i need to do in order to display delivery date for free good.

    Actually i have seen technical settings for that field.it is rv45a-etdat.this field has value till MV45AFZZ.seen in debugger.

  • Sales Order Line item category not getting Re detemining Correctly

    Dear all,
                I need  help regarding the Sales order item category redetermination.
                we are having two item categories YNAE and YNAG and it contains schedule  line categories CP and CB ( i.e for item         category  YNAE schedule line category is CP and for item category YNAG schedule line category is CB),
    for YNAG Purchase Requisition is automatically created becz of functional setting on save and it is working fine.
    For every line item in sales order line item level item category YNAE will be determined by default as per functional settings.
             Now my requirement is that, if sales order line item doesn't contain 100% confirmed quantity, than i needs to change the default line item category YNAE to YNAG which i am trying to do it in USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP becz in this exit i am getting the values in XVBAP and XVBEP and  it is working fine .
             But schedule line category is not getting redetermined automatically what i mean is, if i change the item category to YNAG from YNAE in user exit corresponding schedule line category CB of YNAG is getting determined automatically at the schedule line level and if ichange the schedule line categories in XVBEP in exit USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP, changes are reflecting at the schedule line level but Purchase requisation is not getting created for schedule line on SAVE and its delivary dates are also not getting determined properly. If i press the option ATP check at the schedule line level than very things will getting corrected.
       I feel that i am not doing this in proper way, do u have any idea about how to redetermine item category. please let me know if u have any idea .

    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP is the wrong location - that exit is for pricing communication preparation only.  Your primary location for item category determination is USEREXIT_SOURCE_DETERMINATION (MV45AFZB).  In your simple scenario, you could consider making an availability check at this point with some assumptions and then assign the item category accordingly.  Otherwise, you can re-assign item category and schedule line category in USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBEP.  The exit is called once before ATP (for ATP-relevant schedule line categories) and once afterwards.  The call is recursive if you re-assign another ATP-relevant category.

    Hi,
    I have scheduled an action wherein a mail will be triggered to reporter whenever the status changes.
    But this is not happening inspite of all the proper settings maintained in Conditions for Actions.
    This thing is working properly in my Development system but not working in Production system
    I have tried all the possibilities but still not able to reach any solution.
    Could you please suggest me something.?

    I checked SCOT settings too.
    The action is not getting scheduled only so email triggering will not take place.
    I cant see the action in Transaction Data of support message.

  • Component is not getting displayed in process scheduler menu

    Hi All,
    I have created a project and created/registered a component in that project. I have also added a page which is having a record definition with a record named L_RUNCNTL having two search fields, to this component and configured L_RUNCNTL as search record for this component.
    I have registered this component with below details:
    Menu Name : PROCESS_SCHEDULER
    Bar Name : PROCESS
    Folder Name as PT_PROCESS_SCHEDULER
    Select “Always Use default local node?” Check box
    Permission List : PTPT1000
    But after registration, when I open process scheduler menu I dont see this component listed. However, previously I created a component in this project and registered it with same details given above and I could see it in process scheduler menu.
    I am surprised why another component registered with same details is not getting displayed in process scheduler menu.

    I got this problem resolved. Here is what I did:
    Ran portal security sync at the navigation PeopleTools > Portal > Portal Security Sync.
    Cleared browser cache, accessed the page again and saw the link was available.

  • Schedule lines not getting confirmed on staurdays and sundays

    Hi all,
    At sales order level, the schedule lines are not getting confimred on staurdays and sundays. So,in the factory which has been assigned to that plant, we have checked all holidays . Even then it's not confirming on saturdaus and sundays.
    In the factory calendar, it was maintained like this.
    Valid      from Year   1996
                    To Year     2010
    Holiday calendar    ID IN
    Specific rule          none exist
    Work days
    Moday to sunday have been ticked. Only public holidays have not been ticked.
    even then staurday and sundays schedule lines are not getting confirmed. pLEASE ADVISE.

    Go to T.CODE SCAL, select your calender id & click on definition.
    Check the working days.Also check the "Holiday Calendar ID" assigned to the "Factory Calendar ID".
    Check if it helps.

  • Schedule lines are not getting generated during MRP Run

    Schedule lines are not getting generated during MRP Run. I have maiantained source list for the material with proper validity date and also maintained scheduling agreement . MRP relevvant Indicator , I have marked - 2 which means -Record relevant to MRP. Sched. lines generated automatically.
    Still I am not able to get schedule lines and instead of that *Purchase Requisitions* are getting generated.
    Can any one help me and suggest me what to be done in this case .

    Welcome to SDN,
    In transaction OMDT you have to enable the indicator create schedule lines
    In MD02 MRP control Prameter here select the Delivery schedules -3- Schedule line. Processing Key as NETCH and Planning Mode - 3 delted and recreated.
    Maintain source list ME01, in that put MRP indicator as '2' i.e. schedule lines via MRP.Put your agreement no in that.
    If u run MRP properly u will get schedule lines automatically in ME38.
    Make the schedule agreement, make it source relevent in the source list make is FIX and MRP indicator as 3.

  • Schedule lines are not getting confirmed even though stock is there

    HI,
    i want to discuiss one sensitive issues which is a simple one.
    my schedule lines is not getting confirmed even stock is there at sales order.
    there is no delivery block.
    there is no minimum stock level.
    there is no credit check for that.
    there is stock of 2 EA in that plant and storage location, but stock is not getting confirmed at sales order level or transaction level.
    even stock is there it is going to avaliability check overview screen and giving stock confirmation after 12 days.
    even i checked all the dates.............but its of no use.
    what to do ?
    after testing all the possible options i am taking help from

    you need to check the following.....
    First check the Factory calander of your plant whethear some holidays or not
    Second most importantly you have to check which stretagy group is assigned  in the material . whethear it is make to order or make to stock. change it as make to stock.
    "What happened if material stretagy group is make to order then from sales order system generate requirement of that material against that particular stock, that time system do not consider the unrestricted stock and not confirm schedule line."

    What are all the fields will be mandatory and triggering the maintenance schedule / Notification in Equipment / Functional Locations?

    There May be several resons...
    Check Whether Maintenace for perticualr maintenance plan is not scheduled... their could completion requirement tick might selected previous maint. not done for the equipment.
    Check any scheduling for inactive equips/fl
    check any long offset has been set....
    check while scheduling any sortfield key is set or genral...if pertiucalr sort key is belong to Eq/fl which will not help

  • Certain Maintenance Plan not getting scheduled in the background job

    Hi Gurus,
    I am facing an issue here.
    A weekly background job (RISTRA20) runs every weekend and schedules the maintenance plans.
    But we have noticed that some maintenance plans are not getting scheduled. i.e no orders or schedule is getting generated.
    When I run IP30 manually for these plans then the schedule gets generated and orders get called.
    I have checked up the background job and it is running fine.
    Also, i have noticed a similarity in all these plans which are not getting scheduled. There schedule has been restarted (through IP10) at somepoint or the other.
    But i don't see any direct impact of this?
    Can any of you provide some help on this?? Points will be rewarded.

    Thanks for replying.
    The message number for 'Groups don't match' is ME303.
    I think this does not have anything to do with the restart as i have done further investigation.
    Whenever I run IP30 with sortfield input as AS02*, i get the error as mentioned above for a certain number of maintenance plans while the remaining plans get scheduled.
    If i run IP30 for any other sort fields, it runs fine and i don't encounter the error
    mentioned above.

    Could not start the oracle BI Scheduler Service on local computer.
    Error 1064:An Exception occured in the service when handling the control request

    Refer to Oracle Business Intelligence Infrastructure Installation and Configuration Guide.
    Chapter 10 discussed configuring Oracle BI Scheduler.
    The steps include:
    Create a scheduler schema.
    Create tables in the scheduler schema using scripts.
    Updating configuration options in Job Manager.
    Updating the config files: instanceconfig.xml & credentialstore.xml.
    Start the Oracle BI Scheduler.
    If all goes well, the BI Scheduler should start.

  • Search Incremental Crawl is not getting triggered at the scheduled time.

    Since 1 week i am observing that the incremental crawl is not getting triggered on the scheduled day & time but the next schedule is moving to next day. Let me put down in a detail.
    Content Incremental crawl is scheduled to run daily at 5.00 PM CST. Last 3 days i checked at 5.30 PM CST and found that the incremental crawl is not triggered and the status is Idle. But i noticed that the Next incremental crawl date is moved to next day
    at the same time.
    Can some one help me out how to get out of this issue. Thank You!

    Did you check the crawl logs? Please post here any error message that you come across in Crawl logs.
    Also, does crawl operations are performed when you crawl manually?If yes, have a look at steps below:
    Possible Cause:
    Folder %WinDir%\Tasks is not added with SharePoint Local group WSS_WPG Where Indexer is Running
    Resulution:
    1. Login to the SharePoint Indexer machine with account which has Administrative previlages
    2. Open Command prompt and run the command attrib –s %windir%\tasks.
    %Windir% is the Default installation of Windows
    3. Open Windows Explorer and go to the %Windir%\Tasks folder And open the properties of the Tasks folder
    4. Click the Security tab and Check whether we have WSS_WPG, If it is not there Add the Group with Full Read and Write permissions
    5. Now Open IIS Manager and restrat IIS or at the command prompt Type IISRESET so that the Chages will take place.
    6. From the command prompt Run the command attrib +s %windir%\tasks so that the view goes back to default
    7. Do the above Steps on all the SharePoint servers in the Farm

  • Tasks not getting executed as per schedule

    Hello Gurus,
    my query is with respect to tuxedo 7.1 / singleview 4.02.17.01.
    I am facing some new issues these days with singleview.
    Whenever we submit any task in singleview, it is not getting executed on its scheduled time.
    this has been happening from past few days.
    worstly,nothing has been found in logs.
    Interestingly, twice it happened that i took down the application & after the app was brought up,these "NOT" executed tasks started automatically.
    Why this could be happening?
    unix file " stdout" <standard output> is getting written heavily & reaching its MAX size ( 2 GB) in less than 24 hrs.
    i have changed its schedule as of now,but has it got anything with above problem?
    Finally,i have generated a new "ubbconfig" for tuxedo which will help in maximising billing performance.
    reason for this is in recent times i have observed that memory usage has increased .so this "ubb" contains maximum billing servers & rest minimum.if you have any idea on this,pls let me know.
    your suggestions & corrections are welcome.

    - How did you migrate (dsmig ldif or binary import)
    - Did the accounts in .x have any custom password policies set?
    For a "new" and a migrated entry, can you check if a passwordpolicysubentry is configured?
    (search as directory manager and fetch the attribute)

  • Scheduled job not getting executed on a logical standby

    Hello,
    We have created a job(through dbms_scheduler API). The job is enabled and shows up in the SCHEDULERJOBS view also.
    However the job does not get executed. I looked into the following tables there was no relevant entry found for the aforesaid job:
    select * from all_scheduler_job_log
    select * from dba_scheduler_running_jobs
    select * from DBA_SCHEDULER_JOB_RUN_DETAILS order by log_date desc
    Is there any limitation that we cannot execute scheduled jobs on a logical standby database. If i execute the relevant program (that is configured to be run as job in this scenario) as an individual procedure from SQL plus, it gets executed successfully implying there is no errors/problem in the subprogram that the job is going to invoke.

    As per the app design, the job invokes a stored program(that maps to a stored procedure present in standby db itself) that reads the data from standby and populates the relevant tables/entities in another database(third db, not primary or standby) which acts as a repository. No write operations are to be performed on standby.
    So, i have two doubts:
    -- Can scheduled jobs execute on logical standby db[Oracle release 10g(R2)]
    I was going through few of the oracle docs and it is mentioned that this is a known limitation in 10g
    R2 release and has been corrected in 11g. Now we have something called database_role
    attribute that needs to be set to 'LOGICAL STANDBY' if you need to execute a job on
    standby. However it is available in 11g onwards.
    -- If there is no workaround for the above mentioned problem in 10g-R2 release.
    Then we may have to schedule a job from third db instance that shall invoke the program(residing on the standby db). Can we have a scheduled job which executes a program that maps to a remote stored procedure instead of local stored procedure?

    Hi All,
    I got the answer and it worked for me:-
    1. If the BI Scheduler cannot ping the mail server specified in the scheduler configuration, check the correct server is specified. If it is, check that it is up and running.
    2. If the user name and password are specified in the scheduler configuration, log in to Enterprise Manager and navigate to:
    Weblogic Domain
    Right click on bifoundation_domain > Security > Credentials
    Expand oracle.bi.enterprise
    Highlight mail.server and delete the user name and password..
