BIAplicationFrame in a WebDynpro set setItemParameter ?

Hi, everybody
I have a WebDynpro Java that calls a URL BI report, the UI Element is BIAplicationFrame,
I need to set the parameter for execute BI report.
Does anybody have idea??
I found this that is guide for the UI Elements!!

How can we remove this old error? (from 2007)

How to set portal authorization in ABAP Webdynpro application

Hi All,
Do you have an idea how to set the visibility for Group UI element based on the Portal user authorization in ABAP Webdynpro , for example if the portal user A(or group A), logins into the portal on click of the ABAP Webdynpro IView then we need to set invisible (hide) the Group UI element in webdynpro ABAP Application.
Do you have any sample code on the same to handle the portal authorization in Webdynpro ABAP?? , please let me know if couldnu2019t understand this requirement or my explanation

Like however we passed the UserID, can we pass Group ID also to the ABAP Webdynpro application??
Can u get me other things, how to copy of the existing component and i want to give the new name for the component and there i need to modify, i dont want to disturb original component before copy...let me know the procedure for the same??

How to set the WebDynpro application title (IE windows title)?

Hello all,
I would like to set the WebDynpro application title according to the current transaction ID. This title is the IE windows title that is shown on the upper left-corner of the IE browser.
Rule: [Object Instance Information] u2013 [Application Title] u2013 [Browser Title]
For example: Trans. <No.> - <My App> - Windows Internet Explorer
I would like to set <No.> dynamically on run-time according to my current transaction number.
I have this piece of code that gets a reference to the application info:
data: lr_app_info TYPE REF TO if_wdr_rr_application.
lr_app_info ?= wdr_task=>application->application_info.
And there is lr_app_info->get_description() method to have the description of the application, but there is no set method.
The application description can be hardcoded in:
tx. SE80, opening the WebDynpro component, then accessing its WebDynpro application. In the properties tab, there is a description field. I need to append transaction ID to it.
Do you know any way to implement this? This issue is for WebDynpro ABAP.

My question is related to the title of the Internet Explorer that we all see on the top left-corner. For WebDynpro , this is the WebDynpro application title. How can we change it?

Problem in local host setting for webdynpro

I configured the webdynpro and now when i click the webdynpro link the page not open but when i given the local host name and program name in the url path its work.but i want to set the automatically host name permenentaly in webdynpro design.

Not an expert in the webdynpro.
You can check in RZ11 whether the icm/host_name_full is mainted with fully qualified domain name.
Also you need to make an entry in your local desktop in host file.

Set Up CTS+: Webdynpro CTS_BROWSER - configure Organizer client in TMS

I'm trying to set up the CTS+ in a Portal Enviroment.
This is my landscape:
SID System Role
C1X ABAP + Java Stacks (CTS+ System and Trasport Domain Controller) with SPS15 (ABAP and JAVA)
JD1 Java Stack (EP Java Development System) Stack SPS14
JD2 Java Stack (EP Java Production System) Stack SPS14
I'm following step by step all points of Set Up and Use CTS+ in a Portal Enviroment Guide (May 2008).
In STMS (C1X) I add JD1 and JD2 System as Non-ABAP-System.
JD1 is the Java Source system and when I create it I set the flag "Activate Trasport Organizer" for C1X system
JD2 is the Java Target system and when I create it I set the flag "Activate Deployment Service" for method SDM
Then I create the new trasport layer ZJAD and the new trasport route from JD1 to JD2.
When I configure the trasport organizer Web UI and try to test the Web service CTS_BROWSER from SICF I received this message:
System C1X is not valid; configure Organizer client in TMS
Any IDEA??

Hi, I have the same issue here.
I think that is "normal" because SICF tries to run this in the name of you C1X system. This however must be running in e.g. the name of the development system.
e.g
http://hostname:8047/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cts_browser?SYSID=<PORTALDEVELPOMENT_SID>&PURPOSE=EP&sap-client=000&sap-language=EN

Webdynpro ABAP -- ALV Layout setting

Dear all,
In my development with ALV in Webdynpro ABAP, I want to save the ALV layout via Setting. but it seems that the layout only can be saved as user-specific, is it any possible to use it as the gobal one?

Hi,
Yes you can make it global in administrative level.
1.In SE80 ,Double click on the name of your Web Dynpro Application .
2.Select Web Dynpro Application Menu .
3.Select Test->-> Execute in Administrative Mode from the menu.
Your application opens in administrative mode .
Go to the ALV settings make the changes and save it as some variant.
This layout will be default and global to all the users.

Global Setting for ALV Table in webdynpro

Hi guys,
We are in process of upgrading to EHP7 and ABAP-7.4 and we are facing one small issue on default ALV table setting where we are not getting
Grid line = 'All' insist we are getting Grid Line = 'Horizontally'.
I have seen lots of thread suggesting that we can customized it based on application but as we already have lots of webdynpro application and it not a good ideas to go in each and every application and change it.
I have a feeling there should be some place where we can set the default setting for the same may be System or Global .
Any idea on the same.

according to what i understood from your explanation you want that inspite of scrolling you need to do so on user clicking some button or some action ....
i did the same in a scenario...
what i did was just giving a input field on the screen.
and in code i just checked number of records to be less than or equal to the number user puts in the i/p field .
I chose onactionenter for doing this .
firstly i used node->invalidate.
again filled the internal table with number of records matching and displayed the same.

In VC WEBDYNPRO compiler mode, how to set decimal places to 2

The compiler mode is webdynpro,
The ivew table column's data type is num type,
The column show a curreny data.
Now the problem is when the num data is like a number as "1000.00",the ".00" will not show,but when the value is "1000.01" ,it show "1000.01". I want it always show the formatting like "X.XX".
There is also no formatting property to set in the column like in flash compiler mode then i can set decimal places to 2.
What should i do?

You can use Decimal Format Class and declare something like:
DecimalFormat df = new DecimalFormat("#,##0.00;(#,##0.00)");
wdContext.currentContextElement().setSueldoTxt(df.format(wdContext.currentOutputSueldoElement().getPe_Betrg()));
You'll have the two decimals...!!

Set Cookie in ASP & Read in WebDynpro

Hi All,
I have button "Signature" in Webdynpro screen, when click that button i am calling URL iview (..\Simple.aspx ) & it opens and show in new window. Now i wanted to set cookie in ASPx file and read the same in Webdynpro screen. In the Webdynpro I am not able to read the cookie which was set in aspx file. In the aspx file I am able to see 4 portal cookies when call alert(document.cookie );. I am able to read 4 portal cookies even in the webdynpros but not my custom cookies ( by aspx file )

Could You please give me an idea how we can do eventing if applications are running two different windows. I think eveting only works if both iviews are in the same page. Now here iviews are in the same session not in the same page. Please give me a hint how I can write EPCM eveting code in asp file if the eventing works between these screens.

The Image UI element has a height and width property. Have you tried using those?

Also consider using the property adjustImageSize to maintain the original proportions.
