I solved my BIB problem by doing the following:
1) Getting latest patch for 9.2.0.2 (or 9.2.0.1.0A for windows; DBA must be logged into the windows box as Admin (not just user with admin privledges, the full ADMINISTRATOR account for this patch to work.
2) Searching on the OLAP forum at otn.oracle.com (http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jsp?id=1046239) and the BIBeans forum (http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jsp?id=828024).
3) Re: timestamp format in Report table and Re: Guide a bigenner plz point out that you need this dll, MSVCP60.DLL, in the System32 folder Without it, you get the 10107 error. That solved my problems
Keep reading these 2 forums, and I think you will find the various tips you need. There are lots of things to play with, but start with the .dll thing first; I just copied it from some other machine in my area. If that doesn't work, then read through the last 2 weeks of posts to see what other tips folks have tried.
Best of luck,
Michael

    Hi.
I'm using Oracle 9i release 2 con the correct patch and BiBean 9.0.3 with olap 92.
From JDeveloper9.0.3 I can connect with olap server (test from designer componet) but when i try to create presentation objects raises this error.
    Unable initialize Query Builder
    BIB-10701
    BIB-16627
    could not load libolapapi9.so
I dont undestand the message because I'm using NT OS machine, I don't use a unix OS machine.
Anyone does know somethig about this?
    Thanks .

    Hi,
I had the same problem and solved it by coping MSVCP60.DLL to system32 folder from another machine. Check the following post from Oracle OLAP forum.
    Re: Guide a bigenner plz
    hope this helps
    Best Regards,
Seiji OK. That was the problem. MSVCP60.DLL was missed.
    thank you very much Seiji.

    Hello Rajendra,
Good to hear from u. Let me try to give a soln for this problem of yours.
I think probably the logon group has not been specified in the backend. If thats the case then do the following:
Connect to the backend server for which you are trying to create the JCO. Run the transaction SMLG. It will show u the existing logon groups. carry out the following steps if the 'PUBLIC' group is not present in the list of logon groups.
Click on the create button. In the pop-up, type the logon as 'PUBLIC'. For the instance, select the F4 help and choose the existing instance number. Click on copy and click save. Try running the transaction /nsmlg and now it should show the logon group 'PUBLIC'.
When you create the JCO connection, it should now show the logon group 'PUBLIC'.
    Regards,
    Prathamesh.

    Hi,
There are a few things to check. Firstly you need to create a database using the data warehouse template. This will ensure that all the required packages are loaded.
Check to make sure the OLAPSYS account is present and unlocked. You can check to see if the OLAP option is correctly enabled by trying to execute the following command from SQLPlus:
    SQL> exec CWM2_OLAP_METADATA_REFRESH.MR_REFRESH.
This command should work. If it does not then the OLAP option is not correctly installed. You will then need to refer to the database documentation to correctly install this option.
I would also recommend installing the latest 9.2.0.4 and 9.2.0.4.1 patchsets to bring your database to the latest release. Make sure you run all the steps for the patching process as there are a number of packages that need to be run not just CATPATCH.SQL.
    Hope this helps

    Hi,
From the 10.1.2 BI Beans Install Guide it says:
OracleBI Beans supports data stored in Oracle9i Enterprise Edition or Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition. However, only particular releases and patchsets are supported:
    * Oracle9i Release 2 Enterprise Edition, as follows:
    o 9.2.0.6 for all platforms.
o 9.2.0.5 with the latest OLAP patch for Windows-only.
    * Oracle Database 10g Release 1 Enterprise Edition with the latest OLAP patch.
From the error message it would appear that the Database is not one of the above.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Please note that we have follwing versions of DB up and running:-
    1)Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.2.0 - Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP and Data Mining options
    2)Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.5.0 - Production
With the Partitioning and Real Application Clusters options
    JServer Release 9.2.0.5.0 - Production
Pls let us know the solution to resolve this problem ASAP.
    Thanks.

You are not using a supported version of the database. BI Beans/OLAP only support the following database versions:
    10g - 10.1.0.3 with additional OLAP patch
    9i - 9205 with additional OLAP patch
    9i - 9206
I would suggest that you have not applied all the required database patches to your instance.

    Hi,
The issue here is if the whole catalog is corrupt or just one schema. So to try and determine the status of the catalog I would try:
    1) Using OEM remove all the objects you created
    2) I presume you created your database using the Database Configuration Assistant? You should have used the warehouse template
    3) Make sure the following accounts are unlocked and also not expired : SH, OLAPSYS
    4) Make sure the password for the SH schema is SH
    5) Make sure the password for the OLAPSYS account is manager
    6) Install the BIBDEMO schema that is shipped with BI Beans. This in the jdev_home/bibeans/bibdemo_schema
The installation process will remove SH schema from the OLAP catalog.
7)Once this is installed use JDeveloper to see if you can create a crosstab or graph.
    8) If the BIBDEMO schema works try creating your new schemas one at a time.
    9) Make sure the if you define the a dimension as type time it has END_DATE (column type DATE) and TIME_SPAN (column type number) defined. Otherwise don't define the dimension as type time.
    Hope this helps

In same context, what I observed is that the FTP adapter throws above error if a file is send again for translation...ie; when i try to use the same file for testing putingit in FTO dir , FTP adapter hangs throwing above error.
Even after few runs of other files.
Is it something related to the security feature of the product which prohibits sending the contents of message if the same contents are send previously?
Actullay I had never faced such issue before & use to do the testing with same file itself.
oai_agent_error has following entry in internalid column:
    MetadataManager_RepositoryConnectionErrorWithoutOID
When I kill the adapter, the same msg is picked up by the subcribing adadpeter(dbadapter) & puts the data into the table.
Tough I m fixing the above issue as below:
    1- kill the FTP adapter
2- remove its entries in componentinfo table.
    3-deleting all rows in oai_hub_queue.
    4- stop other adapters.
5- Stopping & restarting the repository again.
Still not sure whether error throwing by adapter is expected functionality in iStudio, or something is missing in the setting done in my setup?
    Regards.

  • Error connecting to the SAP SRV on Windows 2008 Server platform

    Hi All
We have a problem with one of our clients they bought a new sbs windows server 2008 and we loaded sql 2005 and sap b1 SP01 PL07.
When we did the SBO install we experience connection issues and we created odbc connection on the server using named pipes and tcp/ip (used both server name and Ip address).
We also configured the server in configuration manager and we managed to login and solved the slow system connection issue. We also created odbc connection on the client machines. (Machine are on a workgroup and users have administration access on all machines),we also installed native client on all machines.
After the first batch of client installs we managed to have connection, they were other computers which were left out during the first client install and now the client want to do the remaining machines connected to SBO. On every machine that we install now we get the same error :-

    Hi Eric,
yes we are using Windows 2008 SBS for the SAP EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0/NW7.01 installation.
we tried to create the key but it says access is denied.
Actual thing is we got the server with Windows 2008 server 64 bit SBS (standard FE) with Domain Controller (DC) configuration.
We have removed the DC using dcpromo to convert into Wokgroup and tried the SAP installation.
I hope you got the idea and please let me know any further suggestions or it is the problem with the license.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Prabhu Reddy.
