Black Scholes Option Pricing Model

Hello Folks
Here is a Black Scholes Option Pricing Model that includes CALLs, PUTs, and the Greeks plus a vi to create an option chain.
If someone could translate this to native LV code OR possibly a DLL it would benifit interested traders,  It was developent on a professional version platform using the MatLabscript node.
The zip file contains the BSM, a web browser app for quick stock lookups, and some symbol files.  You will need to tweak the Research VI a little to point it to the symbol file.
I pulled these out of a woking app so other than the minor tweeks everything was working....
Best Regards

Here are the sub vi's to the research VI.  These VIs are the old version of calulating the Call and Put before I finalized the mod to the BSM matscript.  The reason i included it was so th euser could get the implied volatility formula to add to the BSM updated model.
The intent of releasing this was simply to get it out ot folks in the hopes of saving a bunch of research and testing.....
Best regards

  • What are the key benefits and limitations of new pricing model of X5-2?

What are the key benefits and limitations of new pricing model that started with X5 version?

    1. Elastic Configurations
Size/price hardware by the number of servers; Fixed configs no longer required
Start with 2 Database Servers and 3 Storage Servers. Incrementally add database or storage servers online.
    2. Capacity-on-Demand (CoD)
Upon installation, activate 40-100% of the cores per server and reduce software licenses; Applies to Eighth Rack now too
Activate and license more cores when needed; Active cores may not be deactivated
    3. OVM and Trusted Partitions
License software on Virtual CPUs within a VM; Ideal for special-purpose DB options
You can mix different combination of options for different DB on one Exadata.
OVM has no License cost; support is included with premier hardware support
    Limitation:
At least 40% of usable cores on the machine must be licensed for Oracle software
Cannot use both OVM and CoD to license less than 40% of cores
A server must be virtualized or non-virtualized – not mixed
A RAC cluster can mix virtualized and non-virtualized servers
    4. “Flash Drive” License Metric for EF Storage Server Software
    $20K/drive; 8 flash drives/EF server vs 12 disk drives/HC server = 33% higher list
Can transfer licenses between Flash Drive (2 licenses/drive) and Disk Drive (1 license/drive) – part # is the same

  • New "throttled" ICE pricing model proposal to Adobe

First off I agree that the ICE service should not be free, but for it to be worth while from a business standpoint, and at $20 per month paid to Adobe, the "web shop" would need to charge at least $10 per month to each client to use the service. It's a given that most clients won't want to pay more than $10 a month for the ICE service unless their web site is a large one. So if Adobe needs $20 a month for 5 domains in the current price proposal, the web shop would need to have 2 clients using it right away just to break even and acquire 3 clients just to start making a profit. The proposed pricing model puts much more "pressure" on the web shop's side to sign people up on the service as fast as possible starting out. The situation becomes even more evident if the web shop has 6 clients and is now paying $40 a month to Adobe for two base accounts. With 5 clients and one base account the web shop profits $50-($20 to Adobe)=$30 total per month. With 6 clients and two base accounts the web shop profit takes a dip with $60-($40 to Adobe)=$20 total profit per month. So the current pricing model becomes a kind of stair-stepping profit and loss situation for the web shop when they don't have each base account "loaded up" per say.
A MUCH better pricing strategy for both Adobe and web shop owners would be for Adobe to create an initial 3 domain base account for $10 a month and then "throttle the price" for each additional domain. This would lower the initial profit risk for the web shop greatly. Let me illustrate... Let's say Adobe charges a base price of $10 a month for a 3 domain base account to start with. Then for every NEW domain there is an additional $5 a month charge. Ok, so let's say the web shop has 5 client domains... now we have a a base price of $10 (3 domains in the base) + 2 NEW domains and that's a total of a $20 total per month paid to Adobe. Now for 5 domains Adobe is STILL making the $20 a month it needs. At this point though, the web shop has 5 committed ICE clients and is charging a minimum of $10 per domain so they receive $50 per month minus the $20 paid back to Adobe for a total profit of $30 per month. If the web shop has 6 client domains then the total profit is $25 to Adobe rather than having to pay $40 per month with the current proposed pricing model. Now we must look at how this pricing strategy "benefits" Adobe, because at 6 domains Adobe was previously getting $40 for two base accounts with 5 domains in each. BUT if they go with a throttled pricing model those same 10 domains now would mean $45 per month ($10 base + 7 new domains at $5 each for $35) instead of the previous $40 per month for Adobe. Ok, wait a second (I can hear most of you saying it now) why would we now pay Adobe an extra $5 per month for 10 domains? The answer is simple, because previously they would be getting $40 a month for say 6 domains whereas now they would only get (($10 + 3 new domains x $5 each = $15)) = a total of $25 per month for 6 domains. This is very fair because Adobe now takes on a lower rate per month as the domain counts ramp up, but now at the 10 domain mark they would be getting $45 per month instead of $40.
Overall this strategy eliminates the starting risk for the web shop, ensures the web shop's profit right away, and in the long run Adobe profits a little bit more for higher domains counts. Both sides get a much better deal with a throttled pricing model!
And as a last note of "profitable hope" for the web shop readers, you could also base your ICE monthly service price on the size of each client's web site. For example: 20 pages or less = $10 per month, 21- 50 pages = $15 per month and for large web sites above 50 pages you could go with $20 per month. This is actually still fair, because if you think about it you still have to provide ICE code support for each page should something go wrong and provide support for ICE user e-mail questions, training, etc. So the more page support you have to deal with code-wise, e-mail-wise, or even phone-wise the more it should justify a higher monthly cost back to your client for having a larger web site to maintain overall.

  • Why is Black ink option greyed?

I am running Photoshop CS5 in Snow Leopard version 10.6.4, using an Epson 1290.
I want to print in Black and White, but the Black Only option on Print Settings is greyed out. Can anyone explain why and how it can be rectified?
I previously used CS2 and the option was available without a problem.
    Jonesy

Are you selecting "Photoshop Manages Colors" or "Printer Manages Colors" in the Photoshop print dialog? You need the latter if you're going to use the printer driver to convert the image to black and white.
You may also need to visit the "Color Matching" panel in the Print Settings and set it to "Epson Color Controls" rather than "ColorSync".

  • Pricing Model

Back in mid-February some blog posts said that a pricing
model would be out in a few weeks. Has a candidate pricing model
been posted? If so, where can I find it? If not, when will it be
    made available?

Thank you for your patience! Please refer to this blog post
for details. We would very much appreciate your feedback on our

  • Tiered Pricing Model

Is there a way to implement a tiered pricing model for Offerings so that employees are charged one rate, contingent workers are charged another, and outside customers are charged a third rate?
    Thanks!
    Anne

    Hi Anne,
If you use OM integration to OLM you could have two different pricelists for customers and internal workers. But there is no way to separate out employees and contingent workers.

Next year they will bring back perpetual license for customers prepared to pay over the top prices.  Microsoft has done it so Adobe and others will just copy them.  Who said there is morality in business?

  • I just bought the new 2014 Mac Mini 2.6 8Gig for $699 at the Apple Store Online. I want to use it for light editing in iMovie making video's for YouTube, I couldn't afford the higher priced models. Is this going to work for me? I hope so..

Will this do basic video editing for YouTube Video's in iMovie, I hope so.  It's all I could afford.
Just under $800 with tax and Applecare.
    It's stock 2.6 8gigs 1 terabyte hard drive.
I have two monitors DVI that I plan to hook to it.
I know it's weak but will it get me going without too much hardship.
I want to grow into the more high priced computers and Final Cut Pro later on.
I know I will need a bigger computer then.
    Thanks

There are many people using the basic (i5) 2012 MacMini and even older ones to edit complex films in FCP X so you should have no problems.
I have been using FCP 7 and FCP X since they came out on my 2008 iMac Core 2 Duo and am thinking of getting the same model as you rather than pay the astronomic price for a new 27" iMac.
The performance won't be quite as fast but it will be at least 4 times faster at rendering than my old iMac.

  • Wine + WoW black background, no/stretched models

Before the new xorg update I could play World of Warcraft on my laptop just fine, as shown in the screenshot below:

After the update something changed, I still can't find what I have to change but when I open WoW now it looks like this:

And in-game I can't see models (only all the characters) and on some positions I see a stretched model in front of everything.

    Hi:
I just want to tell you that my Macbook Pro is the same as yours, at it presents that small white spots problem.
In fact, let me tell you all, that those are not dead or stuck pixels, is a problem on the LCD itself, the pixels on that spots are lighter than the other pixels, that's why they look white, but they are not white. They are a lighter color than the other pixels. But again, those are not pixels, in fact they are a group of pixels, from 6 to 13 pixels eash one. Also you can notice like hairlines with the same issue.
My white spots are on the left side of the screen, y 4 of them.
Also, my screen haves particles inside.
I will take my laptop to the apple service senter, and it doesn't matter what they say, they will have to exchange my screen.

  • Network pricing model explained?

As far as i understand this: (using O2 prices as example)
    £35.00x18mth Contract + £99.00 = 600mins + 500txt + free internet + 8gb iphone
    £20.00x1mth Contract = 600mins + 600txt + free internet
    Cost of iphone to customer over 18mth = £15.00x18 + £99 = £369.00
Effect of taking contract is like taking out a loan for the outstanding cost of the phone spread over 18mth. add on the cost of call plan = cost per month
Reason for no early upgrades : O2 pays cost price of iphone on day one, recoups £99 on day one, recoups £15 per month from then on .. iphone cost payed off after 16mths.
This is not an exact science, but if you do the math for all other call plans/models you get rougly the same answers.
You want the new iphone every year? sign up for the 24mth business plan (new phone every 12mths)
cant comment on AT&T pricing but must have very similar figures behind it.
    Comments?

I don't if your numbers are right, but you got the gist of it. You are paying back the carrier over X amount of months for the rest of the cost of the phone they had to pay to the phone manufacturer.

  • Black and White from model

    Hello
Do you know if it is possible with Photoshop CS6 to generate a black and white from a model (not a preset)
I work up a  photo color that I am satisfied with the result, I would like to apply the curve   of gray image (which is not a simple conversion tool with nb) or histogram to another image or a series images
    an idea how?
    thank you

Okey, my first guess is that you want color correction what you made for one image apply to other. If you want it to apply to series of image then best solution, for my opinion, is to use Actions and Batch. First open Actions panel, from it's menu choose "Start Recording", do all your color correction (just correction without using selections and masks). After you done everything in Action panel's menu choose "Stop Recording". Now you can apply that recorded correction to other image or with batch to bunch of them.
Or maybe you need something like that http://www.webdesign.org/photoshop/photoshop-basics/using-match-color-to-get-uniformity-in -color-tones.9596.html

  • Options for modeling massterdata attributes which can have multiple values

    Hallo All BW Experts!
here is a modelling requirement which i find quite interesting and challenging.
How can we use attributes for a masterdata  which can have  multiplevalues. Currently these kind of attributes are stored in seperate ODS. One example for such a requirement might be the Busines Partner groupes. Each Business partner can be in more than one group.
my  question is , How can we modell such kind of masterdata model which enables us to use these attributes for restrictions in reporting from various independent infoproviders. Main problem is due to the condition that the no of such groups per each user is not fixed and can be changed in runtime.
    any suggession will be rewarded.
    with regards
    ashwin

    Hi Arun!
Is there any possiblily to create such a model in BW which   is flexible. One option might be to use a heirarchy. Actually the requirement looks like this. We must be able to analyse all  businesspartner data and with that data we will be able to group the customers into various target groups. now we want to anyalyse  the performance of such target grouops in past time.
    to be simple
    1) it is possible to create customer groups based on masterdata charecteristics.(there is lot of facilitiey available in BW3.5 and more in 7.0 for this) this is very dynamic
    2) Now is it in anyway possible to analayse the performance of such a group. I think currently heirarchies serve such purpose but small limitation in SAP is that they must not contain more than 100000 records otherwise the performance is siverly limited.
    any suggestion
    with regards

  • Print in Black only option ???

I am unable to set a "Print in Black" or "Grey Scale" option on my HP PHOTOSMART 7510e-All-In-One printer.   Can it be done.  I find no option in the settings.  Going broke, buying color cartridges.

    Hi @Jean-PaulVCT,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! I see you would like to change the print settings on your HP Photosmart 7510 so you can print in 'Black ink only' or 'Grayscale'  on your Mac running the Yosemite 10.10 Operating system. Yes, this is possible. Please follow the steps listed below:
Printing with the Black Print Cartridge Only option
Click File and then click Print.
Make sure your printer is selected.
Verify that the Preset option is set to Standard.
In the Copies & Pages menu, select Select Paper Type / Quality.
NOTE:If this option is not available, click ColorSync. Then click the down arrow beside Quartz Filter and change the setting from None to Black & White.
    Select the Paper tab.
From the Color option menu, select Grayscale.
    Select the Color Options tab.
Select the Black Print Cartridge Only option.
If that option is not listed, then it is not available. The printer will print using only the black cartridge, however, printing with one cartridge will be slower than printing with both cartridges.
NOTE:To save the setting, click the arrow next to Preset and select Save As. Save the Preset option as Black Cartridge Only and then click OK. Then, the next time you want to print with just the black cartridge, select the Black Cartridge Only Preset.    -Source

  • Black/White option Greyed Out

I have a jpeg image that I would like to apply a Black/White adjustment layer to and then ideally fade it by about 50% in order to use it as a background image.  However, when I attempt to apply the Black/White adjustment layer the option is greyed out.  Does anyone know why this is and also how I can work around this?  This is not a copyrighted image or anything.  It is an image of our building that a previous employee took years ago.
Thanks in advance for any help!

    HI,
    Try to do these steps
-Go to image >mode and change it to RGB color.
