BlackBerry World: "List is not an Active List".

When I open BBW I'm getting a message:
"List is not an Active List"
Underneath that there is only 'OK' to get rid of the message, no indication as what needs to be done or any other information.
Mine is a Q10. I have opened and closed the BBW app several times, and also switched the device off and on again, but the message still comes up.
Any suggestions please?

"List is not an Active List" comes up on the BBW client when the list (of apps/games/content) that you are looking at (or the list that you tapped on) has changed/expired/replaced by BBW servers. The client is waiting to pick up the updated list and is simply telling you that the list you are on or are attempting to access is not active/current.
This is a self-correcting / temporary error and BBW will automatically 'read' the new list/contents. No user action is necessary. However, as a user, you can help the client quicken the refresh/update by clearing the current cache (steps below) or simply close the client and wait it out (usually for an hour or less).
Steps to clear local client cache :
1. Launch BBW client
2. Swipe down from the top edge and find "Settings".
3. Tap on "Settings" > "General" > "Refresh BlackBerry World"
4. Hit "Refresh" one more time to confirm. On success, the client will automatically exit and your cache is clear now.

It happened now already several times the the "Online TV Listing" does not show HD listing for series when I try to create a recording. Instead, it will show two series options in SD. Is this to make people use less bandwidth?

This happens not only to this particular channel!
I remember it used to show also the HD channels.
The only way to schedule in HD is to find the listing in the TV schedule, at the right time and there you will get the
correct choices for both SD & HD.
Can this be fixed?

Distribution List does not enroll all list users

I have enrolled a distribution list to my curriculums. Normally it has always enrolled all of the people attached to the list. In this case, I am finding that several of the people that are in the list are not getting enrolled for any of the curriculums. We have had a limit of 800 people on a list in the past. This list has about 250 people. What could cause the individual people on the list to not be enrolled?

Thank you -K-, the generated flag in all_objects is set for the "missing" tables. I did not create the tables but they were probably created by an import (imp) - would this have set the generated flag? These are not system generated in the sense of Java object tables for example.
I have now done a search on "system generated flag" and found your post back in 2006 about this. Other messages seem to acknowledge this as a bug, but 3 years later it is still there! Unfortunately I cannot log on as sys to these databases and the DBA is unlikely to look kindly on your workaround. (Although I agree it would be harmless.)
I will not mark this as answered just yet as I would like to see if it reminds anyone else of this issue. Maybe a warning message could be displayed if you edit a table marked with the generated flag, something similar to the way XP or Vista warns you about changing system files until you tell it to go away....

Contact list does not have iPhone listing

My iPhone 4S does not have an iPhone option in the Contact list (just lists 'mobile'), sometimes it will recognize someone else's text but not always, what can I do?

So why in my Contacts list some iPhones users are noted as iPhone and others are listed as mobile......where did the difference come in? I have never had this connected to my Mac Book Pro at home, except to charge

Add items to a combo box list if not in existing list

I'm trying to set up a combo box for an expense report form. I want users to be able to select an account from an existing combo box list or to add an account to the list if it doesn't exist already.
Ideal situation:
For example, the user has "Office Supplies" and "Meals - Business Related" as existing options in the combo box. They need to enter a parking expense, which doesn't exist on the list, so they type in "Parking" in the combo box. They attempt to advance to the next field. A message box pops up and says, "Do you want to add "Parking" to your list of expense options? They click "Yes" and the combo box will now include Parking in the future.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Do you know of a way to save the list addition to the original file without saving any new form data with it? In other words, I would like the item to be on the list when the document is opened in the future, but if they just save it, it will save with the form data they've just entered.

Blackberry World (Appworld) will not launch

I have a Torch 9800, ever since I upgraded the OS (6.0 bundle 2647) the Appworld works sometimes directly after a re-install - but mostly does not either then or at all. The icon is there, both in home directory and 'switch application' directory, but selecting it brings me back to home screen. I've done a hard reset, rebooted, deleted and re-installed, all in various combinations and still the same.
So I can't update or add any apps, which is very frustrating! Any ideas? Can I take the OS back, if so how?

My procedure suggests to install the 'current OS version' in Line:
"I selected 'Install' using the currently installed version with the default checkmark beside it."
However, if one has other OS versions loaded on one's PC one can select any other version before one hits the 'Install' button.
So follow the advice from sdgardne to get the OS version of your choice and select it instead of the 'current version' once you get to the window with the 'Install" button.
I also had AW issues with OS6 Bundle 2467 and now Bundle 3049 but never went back to try older Bundle 2391 or 695 versions available with my ISP Bell which I certainly will try out the next time the AW icon screws up again.
You might have a point that your previous OS version was not affected by newer AW versions. Try it and let us know.

My button extension appears in add-on list, but not in customize toolbar list

I have an extension that shows up in the add-on list, but not in the list for customize toolbar. I went exactly through the steps in https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Custom_Toolbar_Button I also downloaded the stumble button extension and had the same issue. I've tried this on a windows xp, and vista machine, no luck.

Sorry, you can't extract those photos from the old device unless you restore the new phone from that backup.
You could of course use a third party software to extract those pics but it will cost you.
If you still have the old phone import those pics to your computer and then sync those photos to your new phone via itunes.

Activating listed credit songs is not possible

Activating [ listed credit songs ] is not possible. I receive the free songs from Apple, because I solved a TC-problem for them.

I could download the songs, but my computer refuses
to play these songs. Every time I want to play them,
the iTunes program asks for autorisation. Then after
authorising, saying that authorisation has succeeded
for 1 computer, the songs do not play and iTunes asks
again and again to authorise. No playing possible!
Please can you find out what could be wrong?

My problem was solved within 24 hrs of reporting the problem. I got a note with instructions to follow.

The XML format Premiere uses is not supported in FCPX. The only way I know of that may work is to go through FCP7 and then use 7toX to get to FCPX.

New field NOTES required for each activity listed in BP factsheet

We are trying to have a new field NOTES for each activity listed in BP factsheet. For activity we have several fields like description, status , dates etc but notes (long text) is not there for the activity.
Could anyone help us out.

My requirement is to display the column Activity notes in activities assigment block of account Factsheet.
BP_Factshheet/Activities is the view and the Context node BUILACTIVITY does not have the attribute activity notes.

FCS 1.5 Not all Active Directory groups visible in list

Hi,
We just upgraded Final Cut Server to 1.5 and want to make use of Active Directory groups to set permissions in FCS. I've created a few groups in AD which do not appear in the list when I want to add these to Group Permissions. I do see many AD groups but some are not in the list. I can find the group in the Directory application and also with dscl (dscl /Active Directory/domain.tld -read /Groups/fcs-editor).
Please advice.

I found a solution, though it might be still temporary. See if you can narrow down your Directory Search Policy. In your AD forest, you might need just one domain for your department, location, etc.
So, in Directory Utility, click on Search Policy, delete "/Active Directory/All Domains", don't apply yet, but click on the plus sign, and see what specific domains you can choose from there. Do the same to contacts.
Though still I can see now 1.592 records of groups or users when I run dscl but at least I know that AD administrators can really clean up our groups listings ( some of those groups are not being used) , and try to keep the number under 2,000.
It has to be a way to increase the default number of 2,000 in Search Policy, but I haven't had time to do that
