Blank slide images when creating print handout in Cp7

While my screen captures are visible when I print publish the file, my title slides with text and characters built in Cp7 show up as blank thumbnails.

  • Dark images when creating a PDF in Frame 10

    We're having an issue with dark images in the PDFs created from Framemaker files. I've been trying to solve it two different ways, but each solution seems to have it's own set of problems...
    1. When we print to PDF using a .ps file generated through Acrobat Distiller, our manuals print fine, but a large majority of the graphics are coming out WAY too dark, with some details being 100% illegible.
    2. I can take small documents and "Save as PDF," and the graphics come out fine. But when I try to do this with a large document (100-1,000 pages), Framemaker gives me the infamous "Framemaker has detected a serious problem and must quit" error and then crashes.
    Anyone else seen this? I have the latest (I believe) 10.0.2.419 patch.

    You might want to specify what kind of graphics are giving you problems.
    Frame drawings or imported files? If imported, what file type? RGB or
    CMYK? Any spot colors?
    The best graphics are EPS because FrameMaker passes them around the
    Windows GDI unchanged and EPS files can retain spot colors, too. Other
    types of graphics get passed through Windows GDI and converted to RGB
    where the result can sometimes be astounding. In Save as PDF, what's the
    setting for "Convert CMYK colors to RGB?"
    Check also "GetLibraryColorRGBFromCMYK=" in maker.ini and change it from
    "Printing" to
    "None". That seems to get the best results for having what you see on
    screen match what ends up in the PDF.
    There are also color management settings in your Distiller .joboptions
    file that can affect the result. Usually, you want to set Settings>Edit
    Adobe PDF Settings> Color> Color Management Policies to either "Leave
    Color Unchanged" or "Tag only Images for Color Management."

    Hello, when creating a pdf from a document scanned via Adobe Acrobat X Pro, the program inserts an unwanted blank page in between each page  being scanned.  So, if scanning 50 pages, we get 100, etc.  How do we remediate this problem?  We have worked with the default settings, to no avail.  We're using a Fujitsu fi-5530c2 scanner.  We would appreciate any input to help resolve this issue!  Thanks Mark

  • ID CS5 is pixelating my images when I print booklet. How do I fix it?

    When I hit print booklet all my images are pixelated when converted to a PDF in Acrobat Distiller. The resolution of the images are at least 300 dpi and when I simply just export the file the images are very clear. However when I print booklet they are all pixelated. Any suggestions?

    Check the distiller settings. It sounds like it's set to downsample severely

  • How do I choose an image when creating or updating a Contact?

    Hey All,
    I just upgraded to Mountain Lion and I'm converting all of my contacts (from various accounts) to use the iCloud service, and all is going very well except for one small thing.  When I either update or create a new contact via the Contacts application, I cannot choose a custom image to associate with a contact.  The application only allows me to choose from a list of "Defaults", "Recently Used" or allows me to take a picture from my computer's camera.  It seems odd that I can't simply select any image from my hard drive (or from iPhoto), but maybe I haven't set something up correctly.
    The web interface for iCloud allows me to select a custom image from my hard drive so I have a work around, but its a bit clunky to do a lot of them.
    Anyone else having this problem?

    When you're in the contact photo edit screen, in the bottom right there is another edit button, click that and drag and drop the desired image in there, scale it as desired, save.

  • Quality of images when Creating a Moble Me gallery

    When I create a Mobile Me Gallery in Aperture with raw format image, the JPEG images Aperture is sending are very low quality (probably about a 6 or 7 on the Jpeg quality setting). I have the gallery set to allow downloading actual size.
    I have previews set to quality 12 in Aperture, but it does not seem to use that value. I cannot fine any other setting for the images it exports for mobile me uploading.
    So far the only way I've found around this so far is to export all the images and make a gallery with though high quality exported jpegs. This is hardly ideal...

    I had the same feelings but could not find a decent solution. The MobileMe output options are not nearly as flexible as third party output plugins. Its infuriating that they wouldn't allow you to choose an output profile.
    Rather than accepting the hobbled workflow you describe, I switched to flickr which is a little more fun anyway though maybe not quite as nice for a portfolio.

  • Program Crash when creating printed doc

    This is an issue that has just started occur in the last few
    days. I hadn't touched the files as far as I can remember, but when
    I decided to compile a printed doc yesterday I received this
    message.
    Debug Error!
    Program C:\Program Files\Robohelp
    Office\RoboHTML\RoboHTML.exe
    abnormal program termination
    (Press Retry to debug application)
    Abort Retry Ignore
    If I choose any option other than ignore it shuts the program
    down. If I choose ignore it allows me to go as far as the Print
    Document Content screen and then if I click next to advance to the
    Style selector it freezes up and won't advance. Then I get another
    program termination message.
    Like I said, this hasn't happened before yesterday. I have
    tried restarting my computer. I tried compiling the other output
    types and they are working fine.

    First question is "Is the problem limited to one project.
    Creat a test project with a few topics and create the printed
    documentation. If this works, the problem is with your project. If
    it doesn't work, has anyone reinstalled Word or applied Office
    updates, etc.? You may also wish to look at the issues covered
    here.
    Try these first and let us know how you get on.

  • Upside down images when creating a DVD

    Hello,
    During the course of making a DVD which is a mixture of stills & video clips I found that some of the images, in the timeline, in the available media and finally in the "Create DVD menu" screen were upside down.
    This usually preceeded a "serious" error which involved the program shutting down!. Although I was able to recover the file and eventually carry on to a successful project, I have no idea what I have done to cause this annoying problem.
    Has anybody any ideas?

    Yes, they are all very high resolution. I wondered if this was the problem. Oddly, it doesen't occur all the time though and sometimes changing an associated transition in Premiere has turned the image the right way up. Still, sorted now. Thanks a lot.

  • Cannot see total album when creating print book

    Sheesh. I am going along just fine trying to make a 20 page hard cover book and
    port it out and order it, so I can take it to the National Press Photographers Association
    Northern Short Course in Rochester NY this March. I am doing fine shaping the book, but
    I CANNOT drag the photos, nor does the photo album line show, more than one line of 8-10
    photos. When I click on the album, they are all there. I tried rearranging them so the ones I want would be first, but no go. It is stuck on its little view of the first 8 to 10 I uploaded. ???????

    I'm not sure I understand your issue
    Try the following steps - make an album with the photos you want in the book and then select all the photos in that album and click on the Book icon in the bottom toolbar
    THis shoud created a book project with all photos from the album in a line across the top

    That is not normal check all the setting in your Photoshop print dialog and printer settings. I see an option my printer has that could be used to do what you're getting,

  • Incorrect A4 size when creating print preset for adobe PDF?

    I've run into a strange "issue", which I'm trying to understand.
    If I create a new document in InDesign CS4 (or CS5) in papersize A4, the size is obviously 210mmx297mm. All is good.
    If I want to print this document as a postscript document, to a file, I create a new Preset.
    1) File->Print Presets->Define
    2) New
    3) Printer: Adobe PDF
    Now if I select the Setup option the paper size says A4, but the size is: 209,98mm x 297,039.
    Anybody care to explain why it's not a "correct" A4 size?

    Guys, I really appreciate the time and effort.
    I haven't done the math, but I think its still a little strange that the width is a little too small and the height a little too big.
    Anyway, what I also think is a bit strange is that if I select a real printer physical printer, not Adobe PDF, then the sizes are all correct.

  • Is there any difference between these cluster images when creating a user event?

    I'm sure you experts will know instantly what I'm doing wrong.
    I am trying to create a user message for TestStand communication in the LabVIEW UI (based on the simple example OI that comes with TestStand)
    Perhaps it's just cosmetic but the trouble is I can't get the image of my cluster constant to look the same as the one in the example.
    I'm right clicking on the 'Create User Event' icon on the User Event Data Type connection and selecting Cluster - Cluster Constant, then adding a numeric constant to it.
    You can see the result here. The top one is the good one from the example, and the bottom one is my attempt - but I just can't get it.
    I'd appreciate your thoughts (I know the event number can't be the same - but I made it the same for the comparison). I have LabView 8.6.1.

    Use the color tool and right click on the lable of the numeric. I guess you will see that the Background Color of the one is black, of the other is white.
    But this is really just cosmetic's of the code.

  • Anchoring Images When Creating EPUB

    I'm taking my InDesin book into EPUB form, and the chapter numbers, titles, and icon at the start of the chapter are showing up oddly. I read a note that I can fix this in Dreamweaver, but the only tutorials I find there are for making web pages. It sounds like there used to be an option to "anchor images" during the EPUB set-up, but I'm not seeing that choice in the current version. Can you please advise or direct me to a tutorial?

    If images are anchored, they will appear in the EPUB after the paragraph in which they are anchored. To control the order of appearance of other objects, you can use articles panel and then choose reading order to be based on Articles Panel rather than page layout.   • Rule lines not showing up when printing handouts

    Choosing 'handouts' and selecting add rule lines and nothing shows up, on printed copy or pdf preview. Missing something?

    having the same problem but have found a workaround until its fixed. Just type a series of underscores in the notes window and then copy and paste to each slide. When you print handouts with notes the lines will show up. Not optimal but works until this problem is fixed.
