Blank value in field VBAK-XBLNR after using bapi_customerreturn_create.

Hi All,
I am using BAPI bapi_customerreturn_create for return order creation. I am passing the required details where header includes the invoice number as reference doc ( REF_DOC) which gets updated in table VBAK field XBLNR.
But after execution of BAPI , For few return orders I do not see the XBLNR value updated in VBAK where as the invoice is maintained against all the deliveries for these orders.
Can any one tell me if there is any logic or condition which do not allow XBLNR update? Please help me if anybody has come across the issue.

Hi Rupali,
RETURN_HEADER_IN-REF_DOC_L is the correct field to update VBAK-XBLNR. Use this field and VBAK-XBLNR will update always.
I verified that it is mapped to VBAK-XBLNR in the BAPI before answering you. RETURN_HEADER_IN-REF_DOC doesn't go to XBLRN that is for sure.
The return orders where it is filling the XBLNR field in your production system are possibly pulling it from the parent Sales order or Billing document against which they were created. Some of those documents may be having it while others may be missing it, which explains why it is filled in some cases while others it is not.

I added a few columns (e.c. Column1, Column2 and ...) for the List in SP 2013. In the List there are a few records. How to get data entry and display them in a table. For example:

In DB adapter or-mappings.xml , did you made any changes. If not the open that file in any notepad editor and change the following

Restrict Blank value in a custom table field.

Hi All,
I have a custom table with some fields with check table search help. One of the field I want to make it value required field. For example Field u2018Cu2019 should have value (no blanks or Spaces). Field u2018Cu2019 has a check table search help and master data table does not have any blank value. Field u2018Cu2019 is not a key field. Suggestions in this is highly appreciated.

You can create a Table Maintenance Generator for you custom table and you can use to TMG events to put a check the the field 'C' should not be initial.

Reference Invoice number (VBAK-XBLNR) incorrect

Dear Gurus,
I have the following problem.
While creating a multiple correctional Sales Order (which means it is referring to a correctional invoice), the field VBAK-XBLNR in the Correction SO's Header is populated with the first invoice number of the document flow, instead of the last actual invoice number that I just referred to.
I checked the relevant copy control (Billing Doc to Sales Doc) in IMG, and the copying requirements for VBAK data transfer (eg. field V_TVCPAFK-GRUAK) has the value '052 - Billing Doc. Header', which seems correct to me.
Is this SAP standard, so when there is a multiple correction process (eg. correction of a correction), the VBAK-XBLNR remains always the first invoice number of the flow? I needed to see VBAK-VGBEL value there...

the correction of a correction (so the whole flow) is working just fine, so there is no problem with that.
The only problem is, that this reference number VBAK-XBLNR in the Correction SO Header remains always the first invoice number, no matter how many corrections are done. In my opinion the number should be always the last referred invoice's number...

I guess is necessary to copy routine 052 to other routine and exclude VBRK-XBLNR in the new routine.

It is possible to update the field VBAK-XBLNR , from 6-digit to 9-digit . But you need to take the help of the ABAP'er to increase from 6-digit to 9-digit.

Problems by holding the typed Values in Fields by using "LEAVE TO SCREEN"

Hello Experts,
I have created a Dynpro with many field.
Some Fields are Fields without searchhelps and a part of this Fields have searchhelps.
One of this Field has a special function.
It is a Field where you can choose a key value ( an ID number) about the searchhelp.
After choosing I get the other values for this ID-Number in the returnparameter of the Searchhelp function
( values like name, surname ....)
I set this return values to the Fieldvariables in the PBO.
For jumping to PBO I use "Leave to Screen" to the same screen.
But the Problem is I can not hold the values wich I have typed before in the Dynpro Fields (Field without serachhelps).
After using the Field with the Searchhelp (for ID) the Fields with typed Value go away.

In SE80 double click on your Screen Number and go to the Attributes Tab and Select Hold Data Check box,

Displaying blank value for the Rounding Value field in MM03 transaction

Hello All,
We are using BDC to create a material master record.Some users are not loading the rouding value in the MRP1 screen. The rounding value is stored in the MARC table which has the data type as QUAN. Thus when there is no value being passed it implicitly converts the blank value to 0.00. The users do not want the rounding value to be displayed as 0 when they view the material record using mm03. Kindly let me know if there is any way to display the rounding value as blank if no value is present.

ODS Key Fields allows blank values in Transformation

Dear Experts,
I have two layers:
1. Datawarehouse layer (purpose is to represent exactly data at the backend)
2. Consolidation Layer
Scenario 1:
In Datawarehouse layer, the fiscal variant is a key field in ODS and I have two other key fields i.e. combine to form a composite key.
When I load the data from PSA to this ODS, I have a record which contains blank value for the fiscal variant. It successfully loads into the Datawarehouse ODS.
Sceanrio 2:
In the consolidation layer, i have 4 key fields out of which fiscal variant is one of them. Now when I load the data from the datawarehouse ods to consolidated ods, it throws an error saying:
Diagnosis
     An exception fiscvarnt_missing was raised while executin
     module RST_TOBJ_TO_DERIVED_TOBJ .
System Response
     Processing the corresponding record has been terminated.
The transformation mapping for the fiscal varaint in both sceanarios is 1:1 mapping with the rule type 'Time Characteristic'.
My questions is:
1. Why different behaviour during scenario 1 and sceanario 2
2. Solution to the above issue

Yes the format selected in the field for the datasource is 'Internal'.
When loading the data from R3>PSA>ODSX(Datawarehouse Layer), I have no problems even when the field is blank.
When loading from ODSX-->ODSY(Consolidated Layer) the empty (blank) field for that records throws error.
Any ideas?

Blank value in "Assignment" field in FBL3N transaction output

Hi experts,
When i exeucted FBL3N transaction, the assigment field gets displayed as blank in the output screen.
I have given input for GL Account, Company code and Posting date in FBL3N transaction input screen and executed. Iin the output, the "Assignment" field (field ZUONR) gets displayed with empty value.
recently the system is upgraded from 4.6C to ECC 6.0. When we checked in our 4.6C system, this FBL3N transaction displays value for Assignment field. But when we checked in ECC 6.0, this "Assignment" field gets displayed with blank value.
Could anyone suggest the reason why the Assigment gets displayed with blank value..
Is any OSS note to implemented for solving this issue?. If so, pls share the Note details..

I have a DSO with Date field in which there are blank values. I want to replace the blank values in the DSO for date field with 00000000. Because of this blank values in the DSO the report is giving an ORA error.
How do we replace the blank values in the DSO for historical data and also the new loads?

I'm trying to run a query built on a DSO. The DSO has a field 'Start Date'. This Start Date InfoObject has a reference Char as 0DATE.
This Start Field has blank values due to which I'm getting the ORA-01722 error. I came across many threads with same topic of discussion. As mentioned in one of the Threads I have written a program to update 'Start Date' with 00000000. The code wriiten is "UPDATE /BIC/AZ_MONINV00 SET /BIC/ZSTR_DTE = '00000000' where /BIC/ZSTR_DTE = ' '.
Now when I see the data in the active data table of DSO the blank value is replaced with '00000000'.
But If I right click on the DSO click on display data the 'Start Date' field is blank. And now the Query also gets executed without any error. But in the output of the query the 'Start Date' Field has "#" values.
Can anyone suggest on how to remove these "#" values in the report?
