Let me show you two screen shots of a similar example we use in Webi.
a) I have a counter on Cost Centers. If there are more than one Cost Centres, then the formula below will be True and the table hidden.
b) In this example [Actual 11.13] is a key figure, if it's Null, then the table is hidden.
Finally - something like this will work if the user runs the document for GL Account No = 10000
=If(UserResponse("GL Account (Multi Single, Optional)")="10000")

Called block hiding behind the calling block !!

Hi,
I have a module A which has a button Say "Click" , when this button is pressed it calls another module component in same form. Although calling works perfectly fine , it hides behind the calling block.
More explanation here :
I have a form Employee. this has two blocks(modules) Dept and employee. Employee is the master block and this has a button called Dept . When user presses this button it should take to the Dept screen (which is another module in same form) . Although it directs me correclty to the Dept screen it hides behind the Employee screen .
Also please note that i do perform some calculation which does Forms_commit in the dept screen . Not sure if this could be a reason.
All i need is to bring the Dept screen in front .
Any help would be much appreciated . Thanks in advance !!!

Let's clear the wording.
A Block cant hide behind a block; blocks hold data. Only objects displaying data may be hidden.
So, what's a "component" within a form for you? A Window? A (stacked) canvas?
May be you need to "show" the object (SET_xxx_PROPERTY(<name>, VISIBLE, PROPERTY_TRUE, where xxx stans for the appropriate object).
Keep in mind that forms always shows the item that has the focus. May be you need the focus.

Navigating from Summary Report to Detail Report in OBIEE 11g

Hi,
I have creted two reports.One corresponds to Summary and the other Detail.By clicking on one of the fields in
the Summary report the values are captured and then the detail report is displayed based on the values selected.
Now,What I need to know is whether I can populate the values I have selected in Summary Report(values correspond to only a single field) as some text in the Detail report.
I am using 11.1.5 just in case you need to know,but any help would be greatly appreciated.

another way if you want to stay in one document and continue to use drilling is to build 2 blocks and hide/unhide as you drill
block1 - shows your totals
block2 - shows the details
then use block hiding (see below) to cause block1 to disappear when you drill past a certain level. using the same (but opposite logic) you would have block2 appear
block hiding in webi - how to:
sadly webi doesnt have this feature directly the way that Crystal does but you can emulate it using SHOW WHEN EMPTY,block filtering and DrilFilters. The latter detects your level of drill.
block1 filter formula - return a TRUE result when DrillFilters tell you that you havent drilled into detail yet. Set SHOW WHEN EMPTY=No
when you do drill Block1's formula will be FALSE, the block will then technically be EMPTY and therefor wont show
Block2's filter logic will return FALSE when DrillFilters tells you that you are still on Block1's level of drilling. But when you drill Block2's level of drill, DrillFilters in Block2's filter formula will return TRUE and its rows will be returned. It wont be empty so it will show.

Another "iTunes won't open!" thread. Incl. detailed description and depair!

Hello guys! First of all I want to apologize for any bad/incorrect language. Not only am I frustrated, but I'm Swedish aswell.
THE PROBLEM
My problem is the same one many others seem to have. iTunes has gone from working fine, to not working at all over night. I've searched both my "local" site iPod.se and the iLounge forums without finding any solution. I assume this is the best place to find direct answers from the developers, since its their forum!
What happens is when I double click the iTunes icon (tested both via the start menu, the explorer and the desktop - all with the correct path and therefor no obvious spy/malware I hope) and the computer loads for about 5 seconds, then there's the error window. I'm using the latest iTunes/QuickTime and running a Swedish OS and I've tried both the Swedish and English install of iTunes. When I try to start it says:
"The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occurred (-69)."
It says the exact same thing but in Swedish when using that language so that's not the problem for a starter.
By the way, the iPod connects without any problem to the PC, the problem's software related in this case. I can't recall any hardware/system changes being made inbetween iTunes working and not working. Just that I installed a Canon Pixma 5200R printer.
Just to clearify; The program worked fine just a few days ago. This just happend without me doing anything to the program (what I can remember, and I'm not the kind of guy who does odd things with the computer and then forgets about it)
THE NONE WORKING SOLUTIONS
I've tried many solutions, and the proper thing to do is probably to list them all. Note that the order may not be correct:
- Antivirus program (up to date Norton AntiVirus). It's been updated, run a system scan and disabled (both via msconfig and in the program. I also gave iTunes full access in the options).
- I've run ewido anti-malware, Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware after each other. I will try running them in safe mode, but I figuered this post should be posted before that anyway.
- I've uninstalled iTunes and QuickTime in varying order. Using both the iTunesSetup.exe for both and iTunes only, with QuickTimeInstaller.exe for QT alone. I also went in msconfig and allowed only these two apps to load at start-up while disabeling everything else.
- I've added a password to my Admin account (the only account on the computer) and right-clicked the iTunes icon choosing "Run as..." then entering my login/pw in the lower fields.
- I've checked out Anapod Explorer's homepage.
... and none of these points are working for me!
THE NOT TRIED SOLUTIONS
- As said, running the anti spyware softwares in safe mode (just in case the problem's malware related and the malware's blocking/hiding when running)
- Creating a new user on the computer and open iTunes from it. I just brought that solution to mind when writing this, so I figured I'm not rewriting... Although if it works, I won't call it a solution.
HELP! I NEED SOMEBODY... HELP!
As the topic implies, does any of you out there know of this problem? Any friend who solved it? Because I've got some Beatles songs that I need to transfer and I love iTunes too much, aswell being way to proud, to use any third party program just because iTunes decided to call it a day.
I'll update you directly when I've tried the solutions above, and please - post as soon as you get an idea! I probably won't go as far as formatting the C drive though.

Thanks for the nice comment. I appreciate your patience while we look into what the issues are. So, you wanted a step by step guide and I will post about each step as much as I know, anyone else who knows anything else, feel free to jump in.
The Quicktime thing is getting botched up on some people's PC's. Somewhere along the line the file is getting broken and corrupted and many things can cause that to occur. So, for some unintsalling it and doing the install of the Quicktime Standalone patches the problem.
Norton is a huge offender in a couple arena's, but other Programs such as McAfee are also to blame. Usually they block it in one of two stages, either during the download and the file becomes corrupted or does not download at all, or it Blocks it when the user is actually trying to launch their iTunes, which is where the errorless launch occurs. Usually configuring your Norton, McAfee, or what ever program you are using will solve the launch issue. Disabling Norton, McAfee, etc will prevent those programs from actually screwing around with the download and install of iTunes and Quicktime.
MSCONFIG is good, if you have XP that is, in figuring out what it is that is blocking iTunes and Quicktime. I see you say it worked for you. (You may need to go back and configure Norton to play nice with iTunes though)
The Microsoft CleanUp utility is just a tool people use to get all those leftover Quicktime files off their PC. Sometimes people get frustrated and start downloading Quicktime over and over and over again and before you know, its all a huge mess of files everywhere. Somewhere I posted to Benglas04 (try to look it up if you can) the step by step guide to removing Quicktime. I named all the files to search for.
Sometime people have other issues and its harder to resolve. Generally its a corrupt OS or a registry problem. Other times its malware, viruses, trojans, spyware, and adware. I think pple get so frustrated with the fact that their program does not get downloaded and installed and they panic and start looking for someone to blame. Usually the problem is right under their noses. Its the long term neglect of maintaining their computer and OS. I think Computer users should attend mandatory classes in how to upkeep their computers and keep them healthy by checking for viruses, malware, defragging the harddrive, and all the other things one must do. Computers cost money and especially Windows machines, take a lot to maintain them and keep them healthy. But it is worth it in the end and you generally will run into less problems overall, ie. iTunes disasters and so forth.
So, dr0nt, I hope I was able to help you and I hope we get your iTunes on your own account up and running.

File - Script menu is missing in my AE CS6

My problem is that my Script menu is gone in After Effects...

Some security stuff at the operating system level is probably blocking/ hiding the respective folder from AE...

Drilling from summary report to detail report - possible?

Hi All,
I'm new to Business Objects and am currently using Web Intelligence with Business Objects 12.1.
I'm writing a report that shows the % of males and % of females that like drinking Coca Cola.
Is it possible for me to set the report to drill through from the percentage summary to a list of people behind the data?
Can anyone provide me with a link if it is? I can see a drill icon in Web Intelligence but I'm not sure if that's what I need...
If anyone is familiar with Microsoft Reporting Services I'm looking to navigate through reports as you would there.

Blocking/Removing/Hiding Apps other then ours

We can't seem to find any information online regarding blocking or hiding or removing apps from an iOS 4 device other then the one we would like to remain active.
iPhone Configuration Utility seems to block some but still some apps seem to stay active. Apps like
mail, calendar, photos, contacts, notes, maps, videos, books, game center ...
Can anyone offer any guidance on how we can remove and / or hide these apps from a device.
PS. Does anyone know anything regarding MDM SDK documentation? and where it's available for download?

You can only get access to MDM API if you join the enterprise developer program. Once in, you are then under NDA and cannot discuss, that's why you can't find any info.

Popups blocked on Yahoo. When I close Firefox there is a background advertisement on screen that has been hiding. How do I eliminate this without having to click again to remove?

Annoying advertisement/request is hiding behind my Yahoo home page. I have popup block on Firefox options for Yahoo
Perhaps this is a Yahoo issue? But resides in FF browser.

File > exit is the right answer, instead of exiting from the top corner X.

Hiding Gender Block from IT 0002

Hi Team,
We have a requirement where we need to hide Gender Block from IT 0002 for only few users, say 5. For this we cannot do the modification in configuration as changes will reflect for everyone, which is not our requiremtn. Also we cannot do this through screen variant as radio button for hiding the field is disabled.
Can anyone suggest any best possible way to achieve this.

Goto SE51 - MP000200 - screen number XXXX.
Click layout editor.
There double click the respective fields and make them "Input field" also.
If the system requires an access key, you may need to copy the screen and change the newly created screen.
Then in T588M link this newly created screen.

for the same purpose I've done in the following way.
Enhance component ICCMP_BT_INR in BSP_WD_CMPWB if it's not been done yet.
Enhance view InrHeaderViewSet if it's not been done yet.
In view controller implementation class for this view (in my case it was ZL_ICCMP_BT_INRHEADERVIEW_IMPL) redefine GET_TAB_LINK_TABLE method in the following way:
METHOD get_tab_link_table.
CONSTANTS: c_orgdata TYPE string VALUE 'InrOrgData.BTORGSET/OrgSet',
            c_partner TYPE string VALUE 'InrPartnerId.MainWindow'.
CALL METHOD super->get_tab_link_table
   RECEIVING
     rt_result = rt_result.
* hide org. data tab
DELETE rt_result WHERE id CP c_orgdata.
* hide partners tab
DELETE rt_result WHERE id CP c_partner.

Other way is:
Enhance component ICCMP_BT_INR in BSP_WD_CMPWB if it's not been done yet.
Go to Runtime Repository Editor there.
Delete InrPartnerId.MainWindow and InrOrgData.BTORGSET/OrgSet views from the viewarea Header of the ICCMP_BT_INR/InrHeaderViewSet.
But personally I've preffered first one. Just to remember what was actually there in standard.

A block will be made invisible if everything inside it is inactive. If you give all of them a MODIF ID, too, the block will disappear.

you can develope (customize) your own search help tab where you can include the deletion indicator to selection and list
you can even hide the field in the selection and assign "blank" as value, which then just lists the unblocked vendors.

i need to hide the block 2 based on the radiobutton checked in the initail block.
if radiobutton 1 or 2 is selected then the block should not be visible and if the rdbtn 3 or 4 is selected the block should be visible
i have wriiten the code but it doesn't work at all. the block is hidden but when i select the radiobtn 3 or 4 it doesn't work

Hiding Input Fields Locate the document in its SAP Library structure
To suppress the display of the input field on the selection screen, you use the following syntax:
PARAMETERS p ...... NO-DISPLAY ......
Although parameter p is declared, it is not displayed on the selection screen.
If the parameter belongs to the standard selection screen, you can assign a value to it either by using the DEFAULT addition when you declare it, or during the INITIALIZATION event. If you call the executable program using the SUBMIT statement, the calling program can also pass the value.
When you use user-defined selection screens, you can assign a value to the parameter at any time before calling the selection screen.
If you want to display a parameter only in certain cases, for example, depending on the values entered by the user in other input fields of the selection screen, you cannot use the NO-DISPLAY addition. If you use NO-DISPLAY, the parameter actually is an element of the interface for program calls, but not an element of the selection screen. As a result, you cannot make it visible using the MODIFY SCREEN statement.
To hide a parameter that is an element of the selection screen, you must declare it without the NO-DISPLAY addition and suppress its display using the MODIFY SCREEN statement.
We can Hide parameter / select option in selection screen dynamically by manipulating screen object.
SCREEN is like an internal table with a header line. However, you do not have to declare it in your program. Go to debugging mode and then view structure of screen.
You can modify SCREEN in your ABAP program during the PBO event of a screen. Its contents override the static attributes of the screen fields for a single screen call. The only statements that you can use with SCREEN are:
LOOP AT SCREEN.
MODIFY SCREEN.
ENDLOOP.
We can hide parameter by set screen-active to 0.
Here is example of how to hide parameter in selection screen. Write it, and change click on radiobutton to hide parameter.
