Block screen fields

Hi Experts,
I want block some of screen fields on VA01 & VA02 Transadtion like below .
VA01---GOTO-HEADER---SHIIPING & CONDITONS.
we want to hide both SHIPPING as well as CONDITIONS tabs on Header level for some users.
is there any ideas regarding this. pls let me know.

Hi,
The table which you need to restrict is J_1IVTXRAT. Usually this table exists in "&NC&" authorization group. You can check the corresponding authorization group in your client as below.
Goto SM30 --> enter table name V_DDAT_54 --> click on display and select the table by using the position button.
You need to restrict the particualar authorization group to the user, so he can't see or change the "Tax Rate Maintanance"
Your Basis team can help in this regard to assign the required tables to different authorization groups (custom) in SE54.

I have a requirement to hide/disable screen fields in a report selection screen when the user clicks on some radio buttons .
Here is the scenario,
1) There are 4 radio buttons four radiobuttons in one group on the selection screen:--

Instead of SCREEN-NAME use SCREEN-GROUP1 and for your select options give MODIF ID.

Make Screen field non editable

Hi All,
We have following requirement in our project:
When entering infotype 1 in any action a check should be made to set default values in Work Contract. If Employee Group =u2019 1u2019, Work Contract u2018ZFu2019 should be set and this value must not be changed. If Employee Group u20181u2019 the Work Contract could be all other values except u2018ZFu2019.
We are using badi HRPAD00INFTY to handle the above requirement. But there is a problem. When we perform an action and go to infotype 1 screen the contract field is populated with correct value and is display only field. Once you press enter on the screen the field becomes an editable field and can be changed by the user. I debugged the program and found that PSYST-NSELC is set as NO (0) in the program MP000130 and is checked if it has a value YES in module p0001 called in PBO of screen 2000 include MP000120. If the value is YES only then BADI is called else not.
Can someone suggest what could be the problem area or any other way to meet the requirement ?

Can you explain how a physical inventory is done in your company., and what problems come up if a wrong date is entered?
In my company we create and print the inventory documents immediatly before counting, and we are making sure, that the volume can be counted, entered and difference posted on the same day.
Further we are setting a posting block in SAP, and of course we make sure that no physical movement happens during the count.
And of course we make sure that everyting what was received or issued prior to the count is already entered in sAP before we start creating the documents.
SAP takes the book inventory in the moment the counted quantity is entered in this case. No matter if the user enters a count date of today or of last week.
But if you close the field (which is not possible with customizing), then you have to make sure that you enter the count on the same day you have counted, because if you would enter the count on the next day, then your counting date would be wrong and you would not have a chance to enter the correct counting date.
And as SAP stores everything what a user enters, it is easy to identy the user who has fooled the system, and then the HR guy should do his job, especially as the physical inventory is in most countries a legal requirement, which has to be done seriously.
don't give authorization to the guys who dont follow your policies.

Selection-screen fields validation for dialog

Requirements: this is a report wherein , depending upon the correct select-options , user will pick some field values from table and some will be entered by the user in the next se51 custom screen for creation of a record in a ztable .
the problem is :without validating select-options values , it calls the se51 screen 100.
How to keep the cursor at the selection-screen field until & unless user enters the correct i/p s .if i/p are correct then only it should call screen 100 otherwise remain in the selection screen only .

I have a requirement like we need to hide and bring back the selection screen fields upon clicking a button( Expand and collapse in the same button) .
in ABAP Query,we can maintain this, for the variant we created.

I want to create new popup block screen in CO11N SCREEN for condition check

Share/Export as .ibooks file and then drag that to iTunes and sync to your iPad.
Still no joy, find a pre-processing recipe ( that includes export for iPad) that doesn't spoil the quality in the process.
Just keep in mind that low quality in means low or lower quality out, in this example.

Adding a screen field in FB60 transaction

Hi all,
I just want to add a screen field in FB60 transaction. In that transaction there is a table control. I want to add a coloumn there. Can anyone help me how to do that? I am working in ECC 5.0

Hi Pranav,
If you want to add a new column under the table control in FB60, there is a way to do it through config.
This is how it can be done:-
1) Go to T-Code SPRO
2) Financial Accounting New>Financial Global Settings New>Ledgers>Fields>Customer Fields>Edit Coding Block
3) Define your new field under "Customer defined account assignments" . Make sure the name starts with either 'ZZ' or "YY". This creates a standard structure with your custom field and also appends this new custom field in many FI related tables including BSEG so make sure to check the impact with your functional consultant.
4) Once it is defined, you might need to change the characteristics of your field under
Financial Accounting New>Financial Global Settings New>Document>Define Posting Keys
(This changes your fields status from suppresed to either Optional or Required depending on your requirement)

Screen field ouput problem

Hi Experts,
Is there any way to display for example customer name on the right of a customer code select option in a report? Is just the same like in screen, when we define an input field for customer code and one output field to display the customer name based on what he or she enters.
I am doing this way but got stuck:

How can i show the customer name field as output only?
I have used screen-output = 1, but the layout is not the same when we choose it from the screen field properties --> output only.

AT SELECTION-SCREEN is the event triggered in the PAI of the selection screen.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN on field field_name is the event specific to the field and is triggered when u press enter in that field.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN selscreen_event.
Effect
This statement defines event blocks for different events selscreen_event that are triggered by the ABAP runtime environment during selection screen processing.
Selection screen events occur immediately before sending a selection screen and after certain user actions on a displayed selection screen. They assist in selection screen processing in the ABAP program.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN is triggered at least twice during actions on selection screens that are linked into another selection screen as a subscreen - first for the linked selection screen itself, and then for the linking selection screens.
SELECTION-SCREEN FIELD SELECTION
FOR {NODE|TABLE} node [ID id].
Effect
This statement defines a node node in the structure of the logical database for field selection. If a node belongs to type T, you can use the TABLE addition instead of NODE. The statement cannot be used for type C nodes. .
If a node is defined for field selection, you can use an executable program linked to the logical database in the GET statement to control which fields in the node are to be read by the logical database. If you use the function module LDB_PROCESS, the FIELD_SELECTION parameter must be specified accordingly.

Hi Alin,
If you want to add or make any obligatory fields on a screen , then you need to go for USEREXITS and write the appropriate code as per the requirement.
OR
If you want to make the field mandatory in the custom screen.Then use the option REQUIRED present beside the Input present in the bottom of the properties of the Input/Output field of the screen painter Layout in the attributes block.

Hiding screen fields at an event

hi,
assume that i am having 3 fields in a screen.
after antering the values on the first field and if i place the cursor on the second or third fields then these fields (second and third ) should be disabled.
can anyone help me out in this. For me it works only by pressing the enter key. I want that to work if the cursor has been placed on other fields.is there any event available for that.
or pls tell me how to do this.

Clear Screen Field

Dear Friends
I have a Screen and 6 drop down boxes are there with different table references.
I have use PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST block for the getting there serch help values with use FM 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
my question is when i select One drop down belows are must be clear. that means
if I select Drop down 2 ==== Drop down 3,4,5,6 must be clear
if I select Drop down 5 ==== Drop down 5,6 must be clear
i use in PAI event like CLEAR <Field Name> but its not working
Can you anyone give me a solution to clear this issue

Have a search through the ABAP UI forum for function module 'DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE' examples - you can use this in the way you want to update the value of other screen fields during a POV event i.e. in the F4 for another field.
