  • Blocking URL to next page in JSP

    Hi
    I am creating simple Login Application using JSP. In "Login.jsp" I enter values of UserName & Password into textboxes and then submit the form. When I click Submit Button control(action) goes to "index.jsp".
    In "index.jsp" I retrive values of UserName and Password using request.getParameter()
    But on "index.jsp" I m getting this URL :
    http://localhost:8080/index.jsp?name=abc&password=abc
    Here on this index.jsp UserName and Password are clearly visible.
    I do not want to display entire URL on "index.jsp". I want to block URL part after '?'.
    So plz help me. Waiting 4 reply.

    Thanks a lot.... It really worked.
    Now I have new problem :)
    I am dynamically creating some hyper links. Code for that is as follows :
    while(rs.next())
         file_name = rs.getString(1);
            <a href="create_form.jsp?form_no=<%=file_name %>"><% out.println(rs.getString(1));%></a>
    }Here from DB table I m fetching some file names and storing into file_name and displaying those file names in tabular format. When I click to any of the hyperlink in table control goes to "create_form.jsp"
    On this page again entire URL is visible in address bar. Here I have used POST method in <form> tag. Still the entire URL like
    http://localhost:8080/create_form.jsp?form_no=5 is visible.
    So plz help waiting 4 ur reply...

    Hello Divine,
    We are talking about a 2800 router right????
    Are you using any kind of IOS firewall feature on this router?
    I could help you trying to set up the URL filtering based on Zone based firewall or CBAC.

  • WRT400N Won't Accept "/" in blocking URL and has length restrictions

    I have a WRT400N that allows for website blocking by URL, only the field won't allow slashes.  It is also limited in its field length, but the primary concern is the site.  I want to just block one aspect of a site, not the whole site.
    Example:
    http://www.mysite.com/images/nsfw

    Well there is no such option is available on Linksys router wherein you can only block one aspect of a site. But it will allow  you to block the complete website.

  • Why won't AdBlock Plus save my blocked URLs and images in Firefox Portable?

    I am running Firefox Portable from my flash drive. I can block images and URLs just fine using AdBlock Plus, but it never saves them between sessions and I have t block them all over again each time I start FF. I've looked through the settings, but I can't seem to find a place to save a file and reopen it again.

    You need to contact Adblock Plus' author for support. Also, Firefox Portable have their [http://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable own support site].

  • Blocking URLs with RV110

    After consulting documentation and posts in this forum - I am pretty sure that I am following the correct procedure for blocking websites in my Cisco RV110w. It is set to always allow except on specific websites, for example, facebook.com, yet it does not block them. I have also tried using keywords and nothing is blocked. I followed the same procedure (going to "URL blocking") on my RV120 and it was able to block websites successfully.
    Is there a fix for this?

    Hi,
    I tested with the MAC instead of IP and I find no issue to filter the URL. There must be something else happening in your environement.
     Is there additional Firewall rule/ACL to allow trafic? from LAN? that you configured? Or any kind of redirection of trafic to another gateway.
    And if not, there always a possiblity something to be wrong with the configuration. Make a backup of the config and do a factory reset and with no additional configuration test again the URL filtering.
    Regards,
    Kremena

  • Linkwall not blocking URLS by IP address

    Hi
    We have noticed that linkwall does not block sites if you use the IP address rather than the DNS name. For example in the linkwall.lst file Poker.com - The home of online poker games, rules & tournaments will block that site but not the IP address of the site which can be obtained by dns lookup.
    Rules placed in the BM acl list in nwadmin do block the corresponding IP address.
    Does anybody know if this is working as designed - it doesn't really provide much protection this way.
    Many thanks
    Kerry

    HI Gonzalo
    Thanks - I have already tried the proxy.cfg with the DonotSendIPToACL set to 1 and 0 (restarted with -cc etc) and it made no difference. My understanding was that the switch only affected sites that were multihomed.
    Never mind - it certainly doesn't do the lookup with the third party tool so we looking into other options.
    Thanks for the input though

    Probably you're using an empty proxy.cfg file.
    > Does anybody know if this is working as designed - it doesn't really

    About linkwall, Marcus already answered you.
    About bm, this behavior was changed to stop blocking multihoming
    servers. Multihoming servers are servers that with one ip address, they
    host various web servers. For example, a server with ip address 10.1.1.1
    is hosting Poker.com - The home of online poker games, rules & tournaments, www.penguins,com and www.dolphins.com
    So you block Poker.com - The home of online poker games, rules & tournaments, bm resolves this domain to 10.1.1.1 so this
    ip address is blocked as well. Now you try to access penguins.com
    and you're block. but you did not block this site. So to avoid that, a
    new switch was introduced for bm and the switch is placed on the
    proxy.cfg file:
    DonotSendIPToACL=1
    with this switch, only domain name will be blocked. Without it or set to
    0, both, domain name and ip will be blocked, so you can run into the
    issue with multihoming servers.

  • Cisco ISE Block URL Access

    Hello, Everyone
    Is there a way to deny access to an URL in Cisco Identity Services Management. I want to deny all users http accesses to the default Portal
    "https://<ip_of_ise>:8433/guestportal/Login.action".
    This URL is redirecting the users to the DefaultGuestPortal.
    Thank you For help.

    For this question  according to my understanding to do this task usually we use  Authorization policy  to restrict access by using downloadable ACL (or  even by VLAN) , We have “Webtype”  ACL(ostname(config)#  access-list acl_company webtype deny url http://*.company.com) but these type of  ACL are not supported on Switch I guess , they are for 5500 ASA. So  this is not possible using ISE  but Iron Port can be used for the same  and customer’s requirement can be meet. Please follow the link below it  may be of Help

  • Any way to block jailbreaking via block urls?

    Hi I know there is a easy way of jail breaking but is there a technique IT can use to block or forbide them from even able to try. It will be a policy if we implement this but would like a long term solution to the issue.

    Through device restrictions you can control whether users can even install software updates, so if they try and jailbreak their phones you'll be notified and an automatic remote wipe can be initiated.

  • WebOS1.3.x BLOCKS URLs

    Palm BROKE browser.
    Shortly after WebOS 1.3._  I found MapQuest BLOCKED giving bogus
     "Error in processing error code". FireFox still gets MapQuest.
    Need MAP not directions!
    GoogleMaps EULA gags me.  Gaagle wants agreement to track user continuously!  HELL NO!  SprintNavigation is useless because it will not give a map.  SPRINTNav demands Locator for START address.XX  All we need is map near DESTINATION!.  SPRINT locator used to spy:
     http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/12/cell_phone_surveillance_unpacking_the_legal_issues...
    Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    I got the same error for Mapquest. I will be pushing this up to get it looked at.
    As for Google maps you can turn off your GPS and you can still use the application on the device. The EULA is for the location based services that run with GPS and Google. Also Sprint Navigation has a setting for a 2D map over a 3D map. To change to a 2D map open the Sprint Nav program and when it comes to the screen of search tap on sprint in the top and then Preferences. Then you have the option of 3D moving maps or 2D moving maps.

  • Browser Instances preventing access or Block URL's

    hi i have an online examination scenario in which the clients should should restricted only to the specific site . he/she should be restricted not to enter other sites for a certain period of time.
    how do i do this... it is enough that another browser instance is prevented... tat ll take care my scenario...
    any help
    or any further ideas on how do i do it

    I don't think there is any way to prevent the user from opening another browser window and visiting other sites. To allow this capability would be a serious security problem.
    Other than developing a specialized client OS, or possibly a Java application running in full-screen mode, I don't think you can do it. And I have never written a full-screen app so even that may not be a solution.
    Either way you are not going to be able to do it in a browser and without a lot of work.

  • SA 520 blocking some URLs and IM

    I have an SA520 that is configured with 3 NAT rules in firewall. These rules allow a local server to be exposed for 3 specific services. Everything else is disabled. There is no content filtering for example.
    The problem: None of our users are able to use Windows Live Messenger or access certain sites such as www.hotmail.com.
    I suspect the device is blocking URLs that redirect. I see that hotmail.com is redirected to a mail.live.com.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks very much.

    I think you are trying to expose some services in the LAN to the outside world
    If that is the case, instead of creating FW rules from "

    you should create FW rules from "

    table.MsoNormalTable
    {mso-style-name:"Table Normal";
    mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0;
    mso-tstyle-colband-size:0;

    Otherwise, you will block some traffic from the outside world to the LAN
