Blogging Dates?

I'd like to change the dates on several blog entries because I want to change the order they appear on the page. For example, I have a blog entry that shows at the bottm of the page with several entries in front, I'f like to have that blog show on the page as the first. Hopefully this makes sense....Any suggestions?

Here is an explination:
Each blog entry includes a date field that can be edited but not deleted (the section below the webpage title in the Podcast or Blog entry page).
You can have other text displayed in this section there but the date will be hidden there.
If you want to change the order of your entries just go in and set them in chronological order. Most recent will appear on top.
Does that make sense?

P.S. To modify the format of a date field, select the text and choose Insert > Date & Time or control click in the date field.

Getting an Error While Retrieving a Blog Data From Database

Hi,
I am trying to make a blog. I have successfully instered the blog into the database. Now I have displayed the stored blog on the main page and tried linking it to the database to open the blog on the seperate page.
Now when the data is linked to the destination in the data base, it should open what ever is stored in the database. But instead I am getting a strange error. It gives me an error of PAGE NOT FOUND along with the data stored in the database. It does retreive the data but also displays the PAGE NOT FOUND error. The image of dataset displayed on main page is given below:
The error which is displayed when I click the link is displayed below:
Can anyone please tell me how can I remove this error and get only data stored in the database?
Any material or help will be very much appreciated.

Hi,
Thank you very much for the reply. I have made a seperate table of Blog in the database with several fields in it. I then made a simple text boxes, text field and a submit button and with insert command I insterted it in the database. The insertion works fine.
After that, I recorset of blog was made in the dreamweaver on the main page and simple repeat region was put on the table along with the data fields. After that I linked the data field with the data base like in the picture given above.
All the data is stored in the root folder and all data is stored in the database. I am using PHP and MYSQL for develpment and using WAMP Server.
I hope I have explained about how I have made the blog. If I have not answered what you had asked, please tell me again, I will provide you with more information.

In BLOG: Date doesn't appear. Title does, date doesn't.

This morning, second day of my blog being up, I wrote a second blog entry and notice that whereas the TITLE shows up, the DATE does not. I see no reason why it should not.
Last night's date and time showed up.
Why would date and time not show up today?

Looks like you edited the time and date field.
That's probably why it isn't showing up...because

Yes, I edited in the day of the week because in general I like to give total information; it makes it easier on myself.
Go to the blog entry page. Select the date and time
text box. Now highlight all the text inside the text
box. Now Control-click on the text. You should see
a menu pop up that says "Insert Date and Time" and
you can also select from several different standard

Bubu, I did as you said and there was indeed a menu pop-up, but there was no such option as "Insert Date and time."
However, that phrase, "Insert Date and Time" rang a 3-note chord, and it made me look at the top horizontal bar. There is an INSERT button. I clicked onto it, and with my date/time text highlighted, I clicked "Insert Date and Time." But before you do that happy chicken dance, let me tell you: Sit down, young man. Because whereas that action did indeed set in the date and time in the format that Mr. Antoine Blog requires, IT STILL DID NOT PUBLISH IN SAFARI. <she shrieked>
I did all of the usual suspect things. Emptied Cache. Left the site and returned. Emptied Cache again about five times. Still, no date and time.
Also,if you double click on the date and
time field, a little calendar will pop up from which
you can select the appropriate date.

How to reorganize blog dates

Hi Everyone,
I've been using iWeb for over 3 years now and have a question. On my personal webpage I have been adding to my regular person blog with no problem. I have just come back from vacation and I started to create a vacation blog. I went on a two week trip and started to work on the first two days when I noticed the problem. What I want to know is there a way to reorganize the dates. I want the blog to start by showing the first day of my trip. Not the last day first. So I wanted to know if someone knows how to organize the dates in the "Entries" section of a blog going from the first day of the trip to the last. So in the "Entries" section where the "Date" column is the date would start from my first date of the vacation "June 18 to the last July 2nd" not "July 2nd to June 18" like it doing currently. I've checked in the preferences but nothing and one would think that clicking on the "Date" column I would organize it in ascending or descending order.
I'm using iWeb 3.0.3.

I don't think there is a way to sort the blog entries ascending by date because a blog is supposed to show the most recent entry first.
So I usually start my travel blogs with an overview entry that is linked to the first day of the trip and other important events.
If it's not a travel blog I change the dates of the entries so that they appear in the order that I want them to appear in.

Change Blog date order

I am creating a travel blog. I know traditionally blogs read from newest post at the top and older posts at the bottom.
I'd like to reverse that order and have the posts go by date.... 1st post August 28th, 2nd post August 29th. Is there a way to do this?

I've changed the dates on my blog entries often and never had any trouble with the active entries listing or the archive listing. Let me ask you this...Are your blog entries listed in your desired order under the "Entries" list? If not, then you may have a problem with your date format. I remember when I was changing the dates, I had to preserve the same format as the original template. Maybe that is your problem. I believe that Apple should make editing dates more intuitive, instead of making one type the whole thing out. It would be nice to click on the month, day, or weekday and be able to choose from a popdown menu or have arrows or something.

IWeb blog date problem inconsistency

The date that appears on my iWeb blog entries is different from my computer to another person's computer. On my computer, the blog entry dates in my iWeb software appears the same as what I see when I browse the site on the internet using my Safari browser, but the dates are different when browsing the website from other computers!
How is this possible and can it be fixed?

There are couple easy ways:

make sure HTML Snippet widget does not block any hyperlinks, and note that you will not see the effect in iweb, the effect will take place after publishing and view the page thru a browser.

How to share user login and passwords between blog, forum and Dreamweaver?

I have a site created with Dreamweaver. I want to allow
visitors to create a username and password which will allow them to
post blog feedback to many pages on my site, post in a forum, and
provide their own comments into a database I can show the results
for on certain pages. The trick is I want this to all work with one
username and password so they don't have to use 3 different logins.
I'm not sure if this is too technical, but I thought I'd ask before
getting into it and realizing it won't work or I don't have a clue
what I'm doing.
I want to allow blog data to be added to a page with CSS
content by both admin and visitors (to create an active discussion
based on the data on that page). I've seen it on some sites, but
don't know how to do it myself:

What you want is a CMS, but your not going to get one for
Dreamweaver,
well, not the kind you want. Something like Joomla can do
this, you can
add phpBB3 to it, and then using the JFusion extension allow
them to
share the user database, but I warn you now, its a steep
learning curve.
I ended up buying a book just to get to grips with the key
concepts.

Need info on DDL and Data propagation

Greetings Guys,
I have a requirement for moving data and DDL from lower environment to production, this would be done on some frequency say weekly for deploying the latest code for the application, I would like to know what are the possible techniques
and tools available in SQL Server. I am not sure if I can set up replication for all the tables in the database because in case of restoring the database from backup I suspect fixing the replication problem itself will become a big thing. Currently we use
merge statements for moving data between the environments and redgate sql compare API for moving DDLs. Let me know if there are any other ways to do this.

ERROR: capturing outparam - Oracle DB 'Date' via 'introspected procedure'

Hi,
We have an introspected stored proc (oracle db stored proc which originally returns Oracle 'Date' ). The introspected 'signature' has output params as 'Feugo.Lang.Time'.
When we 'call' the procedure from an automatic activity, (just a bare minimum call), we get a compilation error. "Error, contact oracle support - should be Java.Util.Date and not Feugo.Lang.Time" for no fault of ours :(...
Is there any workaround to the same? The date returned therein is an important and decisive data for us to process contracts. :!

Upload, resize, store as blog in SQL2000

This is a long shot, but does anyone know how to upload an
image, have
the server resize it, then store the image in a database as a
blog data
type? Using ASP.
I am building a certification system for products that get
load tested.
The photo shows the load cell under test conditions. This is
all done in
house, and the test results are stored in a database. When
the
certificate is required it is created using ASPPDF.
The next phase is to then make the certificates available to
the
customers, so the database will be replicated to a website
where the
customers will login and create the certificate. I don't want
to have to
try to keep an image folder synchronized, it will be easier
to just
store the images in the database. There will not be a huge
number of
images stored, and the typical image will be no bigger than
400 pixels
wide.
At the moment I am playing with the Dundas upload component
and the
office developer web components to resize the image. I
started my
research and tests about 6 months ago and can't find the site
I found
that showed me how to do the resize.
Does anyone have any experience with this kinda thing? Any
advice as to
how you did it would be great.

I seem to have cracked it this morning, and its working well.
I am using Dundas Upload 2 for the image uploading, I can't
actually
find the download for this anymore, but I do have the install
file from
when I first installed it.
I also have Web Assists Digial File Pro, which will do
uploading, but it
doesn't do the blog insert, which is vital.
I have also got the Office Web Components side of it working,
something
I couldn't do when I first tried...I made some obvious typos

Backing up blogs

Hi,
I have just enabled the blog service on our osx 10.6.8 server. Before I start using this I would like to know where all the blog data is stored so I can be sure this is backed up. I noticed in Web\Settings\Wiki there is a data store pointing to /Library/Collaboration. Is this the only folder I need to back up regarding blogs.
Also, where are the custom themes stored? I have chosen the green book one and want to modify the header section. for example, just under the banner I want to insert some text there, for example a main heading.
Any other links to documentation on creating blogs with OSX will be much appreciated.

Basically, you want to have an offline (cold) backup of the DB and a filesystem backup taken at the time the DB is offline. That way you have a true 'snapshot'. /usr/sap would certainly include SDM.
If you do ongoing online DB backups, you should still take filesystem backups that correspond to those online DB backups, as well.

How to assign a default value when there is no prompted value

I create a filter and it's value is relate to a prompt.If the prompt is not fill I found that all record is selected.
How did I assign a default value so that when I didn't fill some value in to the prompt and still can get the result by

Are you using dates for between or some character column?
Post your example.
Instead of between use to is equal prompts, so u will have then 2 fields one for date from a nd one for date to. Everything is the same as I wrote just repeat steps...
You must put 2 separate fields if you are using date between and you want to have default variable for both.
Column formula for the first calendar date prompt:
case when 1=2 then TIMES.TIME_ID else cast ('1.1.1900' as date) end
and for the second:
case when 1=2 then TIMES.TIME_ID else cast ('1.1.2900' as date) end
Now you set up default repository variable for both prompts.
Presentation variable you put in the set presentation variable on each prompt:
p_date_from
p_date_to
And in Answers filter will be like this:
*TIMES.TIME_ID between @{p_date_from}{VALUEOF("rv_test_date_to_char")} and @{p_date_to}{VALUEOF("rv_test_date_to_char")}*
or you can put a different default variables
*TIMES.TIME_ID between @{p_date_from}{VALUEOF("rv_test_date_to_char_from")} and @{p_date_to}{VALUEOF("rv_test_date_to_char_to")}*

Dear All,
In my organization, we have an application for generating Adhoc reports from my back end system. My back-end DB is sybase.
In this application for we are using Crystal report for generating these reports. We have nearly 10 branches and 2 HO. All most all these users uses this application for generating reports. Reports are not embadded in the application, all RPT files are kept in a shared directory in a central server.
We have installed this Windows application in all the PCs, when user access this report we are loading this report from the shared path.
Now, we have a plan to with Web mode. Is it worth going with web mode?
Can any one tell me about the advantages and disadvantages of web mode over this Windows based application.

Finally, a small recommendation; find a saved data report, create a new app (win or web), throw a CR viewer on the form and the following code (on page load or page init);
CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = <path to your saved data report>. That should give you your 1st success - work form there.
Oh, and make sure your dataset is not over a couple of thousand rows. Otherwise, you will m ore than likely run into memory issues.

orMicrosoft software to migrate my operating system and I was told that there were a couple other companies to
software to move my O.S. off the solid-state drive that it's on and put it on my RAID 5 array that's installed in my computer and working could you please give me a little adviceI have
software for conventional migration and will not work for this application.
