Bmp images showing backgrounds

Hi,
We have an odd problem, we have various reports with *.bmp and *.jpg images on them. They have no or clear backgrounds.
When we run the report in the designer, the images look fine. When we run them through our dll that uses the API these images look like they have a faint grey background on them.
We have checked that the printer drivers look up to date.

Anyone with any ideas? This is happening with at least two customers.

In the Designer go to the File menu, select Report Options and enable the option "Retain Original Image Color Depth".

    Use the color fill option - select the inserted .pdf and assign a fill color of white to it using the Color Fill Menu on the Toolbar or the Color Picker Palette.

    I am facing a promlem while printing a signature ( bmp image ) in a report .
    In print preview it is showing coreclty but while printing to LIPI Dot matrix printer model TALLY 2500 that Signature( bmp image ) is not getting printer.
    Can anybody let me know wether any setting is to be done from SAP side .
    Thanks in advance .
    Regards
    Dhaval..

    Hi Raje,
    Try to take the print in inkjet or laserjet printer
    just for confirmation purpose .
    if it prints in that and  doesn't print in dot matrix then the problem is with the dot matrix.
    In that case ask the basis guys to install the relevent device driver for that dot matrix printer( as normally they would have installed some generic driver ).
    Hope this helps.

  • Using image as background

    hi,
    I'm having a little problem, I don't think it's very difficult but the search on this forum is down a.t.m.
    Therefore I'm hoping you guys can help :-)
    Like the title already discribes i want to use an Image as background of a JPanel (or on another Frame if it isn't possible on this one) and still be able to put JLabels, JTextfields, etc. on the JPanel with a LayoutManager.
    To show what i mean:
    -->i want to do something similar to this code
    JPanel test=new JPanel(new BorderLayout()));
    test.setBackground(Color.WHITE);
    --->but instead of setting a Color as Background i want to set an Image :)
    greetings

    The search facility may be down, but you are searching the wrong forum anyway. This is a Swing question and should be posted in the Swing forum.
    But since you made the effort to search, here is a simple example:
    ImageIcon icon = new ImageIcon("???.jpg");
    JPanel panel = new JPanel()
         public void paintComponent(Graphics g)
              //  Dispaly image at at full size
              g.drawImage(icon.getImage(), 0, 0, null);
              super.paintComponent(g);
    panel.setOpaque( false );

  • Mass BMP upload in background mode

    Hello all,
    I have to upload 20 Gb of BMP images to SE78 with background mode via coding. I wrote a code about this and it works in foreground mode but it gives error in background mode becouse i adressed my local drive for the source of these images . So should i put these images in the folders of AL11 for background mode? How should i do it? Any ideas?
    Thanks..

    HI..,
    u cannot upload a presentation server file in BACKGROUND processing mode.. because it doesnt know where to go for that file....
    The solution for this problem is... save this file in Application server and upload from application server into the program..
    this is the standard procedure for background processing....
    TO save a file in Application server we use OPEN DATASET ... TRANSFER ... and CLOSE DATASET.. commands..

  • Error while Importing .bmp Images

    Hello All,
    I'm getting an error when attempting to import a bitmap (*.bmp) image file into Flash Professional CS6. I tried both "Import to Library" and "Import to Stage" and they both throw the same error...
    This is the Error I get when attempting the import:
    "One or more files were not imported because there were problems reading them."
    After searching around online I found a few examples of people getting similar problems when importing stuff but none of those were for impoting .bmp images.
    Any idea why I can't do this?
    Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    EDIT:
    I just tried downloaing a .bmp from the internet and was able to successfully import that, but still can't import the one I actuallty want. The bitmap that I want to import is one that I created using Gimp 2.8 and had to "export" it to .bmp format from Gimp's xcf file format...
    Thanks in Advance,
    Matt

    Hey sinious, thanks for the reply!
    Ok I'll just use the PNG format then... I was only trying BMP because I read that it had the bast image quality. I've been using PNG format for ALL my Frame's Backgrounds, but some of the Text that was part of the PNG Image (*i.e. part of the background image) looked choppy after importing it into my Library and setting it as the Frame's background. But it looks fine when viewing the image with any other "Image Viewer" type program.
    Might be that it just looks a little choppy when "testing" the movie, by hitting Ctrl+Enter...
    EDIT:
    Ok, so I just Published it and viewed it on another PC (*I have it setup to be able to be viewed from anywhere in the network using the flashpolicy file stuff) and it seems to look better after its Published... Maybe the quailty isn't as good when debugging/testing the movie...?
    Thanks Again for your reply, much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Matt

  • Image elements background

    I would like to add alt-text to my images, but the menu on right-click does not show the "edit image properties".
    Also these images show the information "background image" in the elements tab. What is the reason for this?
    Pls help...

    Hi,
    The assets that are being used by one or more states of one or more objects, or are being used in one or more Graphic Styles appear as a Background image in the assets panel.
    The "Edit Image Properties" choice is not currently provided for Background images.
    Hope it helps,

    put three pictureboxes to a Form named Form1
    public Form1()

    //create an image
    Bitmap bmp = new Bitmap(1024, 768);
    //draw something to it
    using (Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage(bmp))
    g.SmoothingMode = System.Drawing.Drawing2D.SmoothingMode.AntiAlias;
    g.Clear(Color.Green);
    g.FillEllipse(Brushes.Yellow, new Rectangle(0, 0, bmp.Width, bmp.Height));
    //and crop ionto the array
    Bitmap[] bmps = CropIntoThree(bmp);
    this.pictureBox1.SizeMode = this.pictureBox2.SizeMode = this.pictureBox3.SizeMode = PictureBoxSizeMode.Zoom;
    if(bmps[0] != null)
    this.pictureBox1.Image = bmps[0];
    if(bmps[1] != null)
    this.pictureBox2.Image = bmps[1];
    if(bmps[2] != null)
    this.pictureBox3.Image = bmps[2];
    private Bitmap[] CropIntoThree(Bitmap bmp)
    Bitmap[] bmps = new Bitmap[3];
    //get a third of the width
    int third = (int)Math.Ceiling(bmp.Width / 3.0);
    for (int i = 0; i < 3; i++)
    //if the last third should be smaller (by 1 or 2 pixels, you could use the modulo operator here too)
    if (i * third + third > bmp.Width)
    third = bmp.Width - i * third;
    bmps[i] = bmp.Clone(new Rectangle(i * third, 0, third, bmp.Height), bmp.PixelFormat);
    return bmps;
    [And dont forget to Dispose the bitmaps when you do not need them anymore, e.g. in the FormClosing event.]

  • Could any one tell me how to divide a BMP image into pixel blocks

    I am new in Java, Could anyone please show me how to block an BMP image into segmented blocks. Please help.

    could you be a bit more specific? What segmented blocks are you talking about? Is the width and the height of these segmented blocks givenby the user or does it have to be equal blocks of the whole image?

  • No images show up in Design View. Help please......!!!

    Trying to edit an existing webpage in Dreamweaver CS5. I already defined a site which is the local folder of the existing webpage. However, I was just unable to display any images in Design View.  My inline CSS codes are:
    <STYLE type=text/css>
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px;
    #mainpage {
    background: #F4FBFF url(\Images\img01.jpg) repeat-x;
    <style>
    The reference to the image is correct. It's just under the Image folder of the defined site. However I just couldn't manage to get the background image showing up in Design View. If I edit the above CSS codes as a seperate style file and link it to the webpage, yes I can see the image in Design View. But I just don't understand why the inline CSS codes don't work.
    Can anyone help me, please?
    Many thanks!

  • How do I restore images and backgrounds. Hide images and backgrounds will not unclick.

    Back grounds in email cannot be restored
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == I clicked on "hide images and backgrounds" and it will not unclick.

    Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > Content: Load Images: Exceptions - See [[Options window - Content panel]]
    A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (''Site Identification'' icon) on the left side of the location bar and click the "More Information" button.
    This will open the Security tab of the ''Page Info'' window (also accessible via Tools > Page Info).
    Go to the ''Media'' tab of that Page Info window.
    Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow.
    If an image is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box ''Block Images from...'' then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

  • Images show up on Firefox but not IE after upgrade from 8.1 to 9.2

    Hello,

    Agnes,
              I think you should distinguish whether it is a behavior difference between
              two browsers or it is an issue of WLS server.
              You can copy suspicious html codes into a dependent html file, then check
              how is is rendered by different browsers.
              If you have further issues, please add commnets here.
              Regards
              Leon
