Book default page doesn't display

I have a portal with several books with a few pages each. the books are tied to a single level menu across the top, the pages are all set to no navigation. The "Return to default page" is set to true and a default page is set.
The problem is that after I initially load the book, if I navigate to another page in the book and then try to get back to the book (using an anchor tag and render:pageUrl or by navigating to another book and then back again) the default page never shows up again. I can get it if I access it directly with pageLabel=pagename, but pageLabel=book doesn't work.
I have tried setting up pageChangeEvents in the handlepostback of the book, but to no avail. The default page just never shows up again.

As I am sure that you know it is tough to dissect portals to send good examples... I do have some more information. I turned off Tree Optimization and it has had a partially positive impact. Now when you navigate between books via the single level menu the default page loads, albeit notably slower.
Where it doesn't work is where my manual book links rendered in the children pages do not reload the default page for the parent book.
Let me explain this a little: I have pages within books, each page is in two column layout with a menu on the left. The top menu item on the left is a link back to the parent book (which should display the default page). This link does not reload the default page, it remains on the current page, the url in the navigation bar clearly contains the book url.
The urls for the single level menu and my custom book link appear to be identical, but one works, the other doesn't:

I have tried _nfto=false, but that hasn't worked either.
It is almost like the portal isn't sending control up high enough on the tree to recognize what it really needs to do, which is re-render the book.

Basic Setup Page doesn't display correctly.

I logged into my WRT54G router today to change some settings around but the page doesn't display any of the writing or links at the top of the page. I've tried reloading the page and resetting the router but neither of these worked.

Also when I click the "save changes" button nothing happens. When I opened the page in IE it gave me the Error on Page thing and I clicked it to see the errors. I had 52 errors total with the reason Object Expected for each one.

My requirement is based on loged in user group name we have to go to that page, in book there are four pages default is 3 page. based on user login we have to go the pirticular page.

I have a similar requirement but the problem i am facing is that the control of the program does not go into the handlePostbackData() method of the desktop backing file. the URL i call from the login JSP is something like: "/../../myDesktop.portal" where myDesktop.portal is the desktop portal file having books and pages. Page1 is the default but based on an input i need to redirect to Page2 instead of landing on the default Page1. I wanted to give the redirect logic in the handlePostbackData() method but the control does not go into the method. I also tried giving sth like : "/../../myDesktop.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=Page2" but it still renders the (default) Page1.
Do you have an idea what would I be possible missing out on or doing wrong here. Thanks.

Page doesn't display properly in IE 6

Hi ppl.. My site doesn't display correctly in IE 6. (It works fine with IE 7 and 8 and Firefox) I can see through the area which is supposed to be white ( in other words, I see the background which I put in my body tag). I'm guessing that this happens because the overflow portion of my main content area is set to hidden. Is there anything I can change to rectify this? Below is my url. I often see white turning up as transparent, though mostly in transparent gifs. My ploy in that case is to use a slightly off-white, usually #FFFFFE or some such. I don't know if that will ease your pain, though.

Photo page doesn't display photos????

my first attempt at updating my site in iWeb 09 and I'm stumped.
I added new photos to my photo page - but the page comes up blank in my website.
(I published to my local folder and then uploaded to my server with Fetch)
Curiously, when I click the "visit" safari icon INSIDE of the iWeb app, I'm taken to a page that DOES display the photos... but the page has a slightly different url.
The functioning page's url has: my domain/THE "LOCAL"NAME OF MY SITE/selected page.
My old site url only contained my domain followed by the selected page of the site.
Somehow iWeb 09 has altered the url????
Any suggestions/thoughts?

New York Times home page doesn't display correctly

New York Times home appears without any formatting. All text, including links, and all objects (videos, photos, etc.) appear justified left, stacked individually. This means it takes five minutes just to scroll down the page to see the headlines. Have upgraded to Firefox 4, which fixed the problem until the next time the page reloaded. Cleared the cache, checked page style and zoom, all settings are normal and/or recommended. Do not have this problem with any other website or any other page of the NY Times. Only the home page.

Page doesn't display correctly in Draft process

Any page on our new site looks fine in Contribute CS 6.5 when browsing the site via Contribute or when editing the page in "Edit Page" mode; but when we send a page for review, the Publisher sees PHP errors and no page is displayed. The same PHP errors are seen if the Publisher returns the draft. If we publish the page, it looks fine. It seems like the display issue is only in this one specific mode of Contribute. Does anyone have any advice about why Contribute would display a page fine in Browse or Edit states, but not when browsing a Submitted or Returned Draft? Here's what the page looks like when I open it from the Draft Console:
This happens on any page, from any Contribute Writer, to any Publisher.

Sorry...turns out this was a relative path issue triggered by Contribute saving drafts to a temporary location that broke the path. Resolved by changing the PHP include_once call.

Blog Page doesn't display all entries

I have built a site using Modern Frame template. I am using the Blog page to display member profiles. It appears the front blog page has reached it's page length limit. The oldest displayed post is not the oldest if you see what I mean. Please see http://www.dfgs.co.uk and click on the members page.
If you go to the oldest entry (member), open their profile and click next, you will note there are further entries not displayed on the blog page. Most frustrating. Anyone any suggestions? or have I exceeded the blog page length.

Simple Menu Bar On Home Page Doesn't Display in IE 7

Hello,
I have a really simple xhtml site with a menu bar at the top of the page. It looks great in firefox and works in most version of IE but it disappears in IE 7 and I have no idea how to fix it. The site is staged at www.consurv.net/stage.

Corel, I know you mean well, but your solution does not work.
You keep posting this all over the place but can't you see it isn't helping people? Safe Mode is useless. I have no conflicts with add-ons, extensions or plugins. Those dozens of "places" files that you say must be deleted...that's utterly insane.
Firefox has created a new browser that is buggy in a major league way and they must fix it. If not, I'm going to use another browser and I will uninstall Firefox.

ICloud's mail page doesn't display .mac & .me mail that Thunderbird captures

I recently discovered after weeks of experiments and combing my iCloud trash and junk folders that if your Thunderbird Server settings is set for imap.mail.me.com or imap.mail.mac.com instead of imap.mail.icloud.com that iCloud will let Thunderbird get your mail but that same mail won't be listed or logged on your online iCloud mail display at all and visa versa! So the only copies of mail I have from senders to my computer with Thunderbird Server set on imap.mail.me.com or imap.mail.mac.com resides on one computer's Thunderbird mail folder instead of also in my iCloud mail folder. Thank God I never purged my Thunderbird folders!
Now that I solved that mystery I have to find a way to copy that one-of-kind imap.mail.me/mac.com mail on one Thunderbird into Thunderbirds on other machines but that's a different issue. I'd like to know whether all that imap.mail.mac/me.com mail still resides on those Apple servers and can be retrieved or at least archived to me. This misdirected server oversight issue must be rare or unknown to Apple because I received no alerts regarding this as a previous .Mac/.Me user for the iCloud conversion or since. I think it would be prudent for all .Mac users to review their Mail app's folders and their online iCloud one. I am going to keep Thunderbird in imap.mail.me.com and imap.mail.mac.com Server settings since at least the mail reaches me as before but still can't be plucked from iCloud in Thunderbird's imap.mail.icloud.com Server settings mode.

No. The iPhone's Mail client does not support .eml attachments, or .ics calendar attachments, or several other file types that desktop clients can handle.

I have inserted code that works on another page of my site:

I inserted the same code, modified the path to a different page, and it does not work on the new page. Is there additional code that needs to be added?

You don't need an iframe for this. To make a scrolling division or table cell, all you need is a CSS height value and the overflow property.

0.9.9.1 Cover page doesn't display properly.

There are two different pages come out after installing XSQL 0.9.9.1 on RH Linux. Top/bottom frame pages said:
Oracle XSQL Servlet Page Processor 0.9.9.1 (Technology Preview)
XSQL-003: Failed to find 'XSQLConfig.xml' file in server CLASSPATH.
XSQL-001: Cannot locate requested XSQL file. Check the name.
But this conver page browsed on other intranet pc is no such error message.
XSQLConfig.xml path is included in CLASSPATH which is followed release note.

Are you using the WEB-INF directory that ships with XSQL 0.9.9.1 as described in the setup instructions for Tomcat ?

change the references to C:\xsql\ to an
appropriate unix directory in the installation instructions?
Is the directory where XSQLConfig.xml lives in your Tomcat classpath (setup in the Unix equivalent of the "tomcat.bat" script)

The Prove you're not a robot page doesn't display the captcha info

When trying to setup Sync on my desktop and you get to the pop up window that should show the java based captcha text, all I get is a empty window, not the scrambled text and all of that. Java is enabled and installed on my machine and in Firefox.

There are a few posts about this, no answer I am afraid, all I can suggest is look at [[Images or animations do not show]]
No doubt someone will solve the problem soon.

WAN Monitor page doesn't display current latency/packet loss

The on-plus when you look at the wan stats tab you DON"T see current info...I checked the setting and also tested the monitor which showed issues that generated a email....but I can't see them on the tab...a little help please

The OnPlus engineering team has identified a bug that impacts the availability of the WAN Bandwidth monitor and impacts the availability of the historical bandwidth monitor data. A fix is being applied to the On100 software that will restore the monitor functionality. The new On100 software with the fix will be applied during the maintenance window early tomorrow (2/1/2013) morning. The update will cause the On100 to restart.
