Bootcamp displays error, says i need at least 10g of free space... I have 20+
In the beginning stages of set up bootcamp displays an error saying i need at least 10g of free space on my startup disk. My hardrive has over 20g free... Help?
Windows needs more than 20GB. I recommend 60GB minimum. You might get Windows to istall in 20GB but it won't run. You won't have any space for page files, programs, temp files, data, etc.
And yes the space needs to be contiguous. Plus you need to leave enough free space, 15% of your disk size, for OSx to run.

I get an error saying I need at least Firefox 3.6 but I have Firefox 3.6.22
On particular websites, such as 'Words with Friends' on Facebook and Pandora, I get an error saying that my browser is not supported and I need to upgrade. However, I am running the latest version (3.6.22) that can be run on my machine--I have OS X 10.4.11. In 'Words with Friends' I just click 'ok' and it loads, but I can't get Pandora to override the error. I've had this problem for quite awhile now, and I am pretty certain it is some setting on this machine, because the machine I use at work has the same version of OS X and Firefox and does not have the same problem. I have tried reinstalling Firefox to no avail.

I get an error message when importing from iPhoto that says, "There is not enough free space on your Aperture Library volume to import the selected items. It is estimated that you need at least 44GB of free space." the drive is empty, I just reformatted it to Mac OSX journaled.
I'm guessing this is an extrenal drive, correct? If so make sure the library you're importimng into is really located on the external drive. By default Aperture creates its library in your home pictures folder.

If you are running iWork '09 (iWork 09 9.0.1) on your Mac with Numbers 2.3, you must at least have MacOS X 10.5.6 installed.
if you want iCloud support for iOS apps, you need the iWork 9.3 update,see: About the iWork 9.3 Update
And this update requires OS X Lion v10.7.4

I have over 250 GB free space yet aperture still tells me i nedd more than 4 BG when importing my pictures (2 gb ) from iphoto library to apertura library ???

I strongly suspect that the system drive is nearly full: My guess: Aperture could not access the library on our external drive and tried to write to your system drive.
Then your options are:
create plenty of free space on the system drive
or find out why the extrenal cannot be accessed by Aperture
Reasons, why the external can not be read may be:
it is a network volume (that is not recommended for Aperture)
or the formatting is wrong. You need MacOS X extended formatting:
If necessary, reformat your external volume using disk utility and repair the permissions on the volume.

Hi - I am hoping someone can help. I have nothing in my Aperture library currently. I have 77 GB of free space on my hard drive. Why will it not let me import my pictures? I've deleted trash, and wracked my brain to figure it out, but I'm stumped. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!Is the drive your are attempting to use internal or external. If external is it formatted OS Extended? Aperture requires that the library be on a probably formatted drive.
If thats not the cause post back your hardware setup, type of drive, etc.

Update your device using iTunes
Ensure that you're using the latest version of iTunes.
Connect your device to your computer using the included USB cable.
After iTunes opens, select your device when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
Click "Check for Update" in the Summary pane to check for available updates.
If an update is available, iTunes prompts you to download and install the update. Do not disconnect your device until the update has finished.

Logic Pro can take advantage of other computers on your local (home or work) network to help it do "heavy lifting" data chores by using Bonjour and a feature called Nodes. It seems that Logic is attempting to find and connect to another machine on your network.
Do you have Logic installed on another computer there? That may be the source of the confilict.
You might want to post this question in the Logic Pro Community.
Be sure to indicate the version of Logic Pro that you are using. I'm sure the folks there can help you out. -

When I try to stream Netflix on Safari, it says there is a display error and I need to turn airplay off but it is off.

I tried, but it says "Download can not continue. The Windows Support Software is not available. I bought the Imac secend hand and did not get the install dvd's with it What can I do?
You don't need to download the Windows support software, because in Snow Leopard, they are only available as a download for the Late 2010 MacBook Air.
Instead, you have to buy Mac OS X Snow Leopard. The Snow Leopard disc contains the Windows drivers for your Mac, so you have to install them after finishing the Windows installation -
I currently have iPhoto 8.1.2 on my macbook pro and am trying to update to the latest version. I have had to work backward, but I can only get back to 9.1, which will not install because it says I need at least 9.0 to install it. Is 9.0 available? Will I need to go back even further? Thanks
Upgrading from iPhoto 8 to iPhoto 9 requires a purchase. There are two ways to get to iPhoto 9:
1 - purchase a copy of the iLife 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com or eBay.com.
2 - if your MBP meets the requirements upgrade you system for free to Mavericks. Then you can purchase the latest iPhoto version, 9.5.1, from the App Store.

I tried to update my iPhone 4S but I now keep getting an error saying I need to restore my phone before it can be used because it's in recovery mode! But if I restore it I lose all my media and data and I don't want to do that! Is there anything I can do?? Somone please help, i'm freaking out over here!
Anything that was on the phone is already gone. You have no choice but to restore. If you were backing up and syncing the phone on a regular basis, you should be able to restore your backup with minimal data loss.
