I have this same problem in October of 2013. I am unable to import .ics files into Lion that I exported from my Snow Leopard MacBookPro without losing all of my future events (which all have alerts attached). All of the events from BEFORE today's date are successfully importing, presumably because they are no longer expected to trigger alerts via Apple Mail. I am trying to download the latest version of iTunes to my PC (windows XP) and I keep getting an error message or two. One is that it can't uninstall the previous itunes version, the other is that it can't find itunes.msi.

I am trying to download the latest version of iTunes to my PC (windows XP) and I keep getting an error message or two. One is that it can't uninstall the previous itunes version, the other is that it can't find itunes.msi. I have tried removing the old version in add/remove programs, but it says the same error. I tried deleting every thing that has itunes in the file/folder/etc and it didn't help.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

You may see one folder in there and that's the one you want. If you see more than one, look for the one with the most recently modified files.

The first time that you posted, you described your problem. The next post after that is #1 and so on.
The Adobe Flash Player forum works very much like email except there are a lot of "threads". A thread is what each message you see is called. Everyone that registers can start their own thread (subject). Then other people see it and can post to your thread and try to help you with your problem.
You did pretty good, you registered, and you started your first thread
Now do you feel somewhat more relaxed? Hope so.
Take a look now and see if you can find the Post# and etc that I described above.
