Home Sharing is designed to work on your local network not across the internet/cloud.
Stuff is accessed under the Computers column where your local iTunes library on a local computer would appear.
Home Sharing would share your iTunes content (i.e. stuff stored in itunes on the computer, not in the cloud) with AppleTV or an iPad etc on the SAME network.
AppleTV2 will not be able to see itunes content on the work computer over the internet. It's not designed to. if the work computer was on the home network it would.
iCloud is in it's infancy and is not a mature product - iTunes TV Show purchases appear on AppleTV, but currently music does not unless you are subscribed to iTunes Match. I find this rather odd to be honest, along with the inability to buy music on AppleTV2. Movies purchased in iTunes are not authorised for iCloud viewing currently either.
Maybe it has something to do with iTunes Match 'getting in the way' - i think they assume you'll use that whereas you really want to be able to access Purchased music from the cloud without subscribing to itunes Match which is overkill for some.

Can I get a Samsung player to work with iTunes?

Relatives gave my daughter a Samsung YP-T7JX audio player for Christmas. The CD software with it is for XP. I went to the Samsung site and could not find any support for this model and Macs. I did try to use it with iTunes, but when I connect it to my Mac it is not recognized. Is there software or a driver available so that I will be able to use iTunes and this player ? You are right: When in the presentation mode, Keynote normally wants to use both screens, depending on your Keynote Preferences settings.
Although I haven't tried this, the following procedure might be a way to accomplish what you want. It's worth a try, and at least it can do no harm.
1) In Keynote /Preferences / Slideshow window, check the box "Allow Expose, Dashboard, and others to use screen. This lets other applications use the display on your computer while Keynote is in the Presentation mode.
2) In the same menu, check the button "Present on primary display." This will put the presentation onto your iMac screen.
3) In the Keynote / Preferences / Slideshow window, do NOT check the box "Use alternate display to view presenter information." This means that your slideshow will run, but you will not be able to see the "presenter information" to preview what's coming next. You'll need to run your slideshow by memory.
4) The other applications you want to show on the projector (which you assign as the "alternate" display in the System Preferences / Displays menu) you will need to drag them over to that display before you launch the Keynote Presentation - just as you would do if you were using two monitors.
Others have asked similar questions, so if this works, please let us all know. If you have to "fiddle" with it a bit, please let us know that too.

Can't get new MBA 13"to work with KVM - mouse/kb freeze after 3s.

As title states, every time I plug in my USB KVM to my brand new macbook air OS X 10.8.4 (12E3067) the external kvm mouse and keyboard will both work for exactly the same short period of time, about three seconds, then stop responding.
The Air's touchpad / keyboard stay working.
Disconnnecting and reconnecting the KVM does the exact same thing every time, 100% repeatable. The external mouse work fine for about three seconds, then no response.
It's infuriating. The KVM / mouse are all fine, and I've just verified they're still all working flawlessly on my old Macbook Pro (on 10.4?) that I'm planning to sell soon.

All these IOGear autoswitching KVMs share the same logic, so this method should work for all. The manual for one of the simpler models of IOGear KVM is available at www.iogear.com/support/manual/GCS634U.pdf
First switch your KVM so it shows the screen of the Mac where you are having keyboard recognition problems: the correct port will now be "active" on the KVM. Put the KVM into hotkey mode and press F2 -- this will override the default autodetect setting for this port, and will set it directly to Macintosh mode. Your keyboard will immediately be recogized (and the capslock light will work!). The KVM will remember this until you change it or reset it to its factory configuration.
If you need to troubleshoot you can use another hotkey combination to print out the current settings of the KVM: open a text editor and position the cursor inside it for typing, then execute (HKM)(F4) -- the KVM will "type" its current settings. Here are mine on a 2-port KVM immediately after setting my Mac Mini port

Only Apple Account Security could help at this point. You can try calling Apple Support in Canada - you'll have to find one of the several ways, such as Skype, to call an 800 number from outside of the relevant country - and ask for Account Security and see if they can help. Or you can find a friend who speaks Chinese and ask them to help you talk to Apple Support in China. There are really no other options that I know of.
Note, by the way, that these are user-to-user support forums. You aren't speaking with Apple when you post here.

To change the iCloud ID on your devices you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted (if using iOS 7), then sign back in with your current ID.
If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, you will have to temporarily recreate it in order to delete the existing account. To do this, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Just signed up here, ot the brightest with tech stuff. I'm trying to get my Powershot A620 to work with Windows 7. I'm guessing there's drivers I need to down load ? Will they be on the Canon website or on this help site ?

If you need photo software and don't have any you can download Canon software here.

But if you already have software you use there is nothing special you need. Ether connect the camera using a USB cable or remove the SD card from the camera and use a card reader (either an external one or the computer may already have one built in.)
If you decide to connect the camera via USB you don't need a driver; its built into W7.

i was able to get this to work on my imac intel with a samsung ml-1710.
check out http://www.linuxprinting.org/macosx/samsung-gdi/
download and install BOTH of those files.
then you should be able to add your printer using the print center. the driver should be listed as Samsung ML-1210 Foomatic+GDI.

If you are trying to set up an iTunes Store account without a credit card, presuming you only want the free apps take a look here:

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

Hi! I have an iPad 2 since october or so, and i've been synchronizing it with my desktop computer. Now I've just bought a laptop, and i'd like to now if it is posible to synchronize it with my iPad, and transfer all my apps, photos, music, and videos wich are on my iPad.
I already know that you can't synchronize an iPad with two computers, but I don't know if I can transfer all my apps, music, photos, and videos to a new computer by synchronizing it with the iPad.

These are two possible approaches that should work to move the existing library to the new laptop.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase are reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where your desktop has died with no backup then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
