BPEL 1st Scenario (Using concat function and display)

Hi,
I am completely new to BPEL space and i am trying to execute the 1st scenario, which is to concat the source text with some input value and print the output.
I installed the software's mentioned in the link - https://java.net/projects/oraclesoasuite11g/pages/Home ( Please let me know if anything is missed out)
The issue that i am facing is when i am trying to deploy the project I am getting "IntegratedWeblogicServer" option in "application server" (wizard), which in turn doesn't have "SOAServers", so i am not able to complete the wizard.
I have seen some posts saying "connection should be set up ,with application server and integrated server", how to do that ?
Also, please let me know how to get to the admin's page, where the input text will be filled into and is there any particular sequence in which the servers (Oracle BPEL process manager/Oracle DB/Oracle service bus/Web logic server/). I am hoping I have all the components but i am not able to configure them correctly.

I am assuming there is some installation issue, as multiple components needs to be installed for this scenario. To do it correctly, I want to start afresh, I have to following software installable and below is my system details. Please guide me if anything is missed out, and how to get the "SOASERVERS" while deploying the project(in application server).
Also I am not getting any integration server,in [JDeveloper->view-> integration server] (seen some blog, where they are asking to configure it after configuring the application server), how to configure it , if at all it is necessary.

Try to use option Column's->Filter->Advanced->Convert this filter to SQL

Hi Keith, sorry for my late reply.
Surely I am able to connect to the help function when Icontact the website
of AdobeLR5.The problem is as follows,
When I open LR5 on my computer and work with it and try to open the help
function in the software, I don't get it.
When I bought the CD I was naiv enough to believe that I get an independent
working software. I learned in the meantime, that the seller does not allow
to work with, without being connected to them.
I don't believe that I am paranoid, but I like to buy something and use it
without to inform the supplier that I do it. Otherwise I could have bought
the license fpr LR5 via internet.

Concatanate new line using concat function in BPEL process

Anyone please tell me how can i concatenate new line at the end of a string in concat function?

If using xsl you can use this one:

Using concat Function in Mapping

Hello,
I have a mapping where I'm using the standart concat function to concatenate the content of two queues. Every queue has normally only one entry. When both queues have one entry, it is working without any issues.
But now my problem: First queue has one entry and second queue has only a supresser. When I want to concatenate both queues, the result is also a supresser. But I'd like to have that the result will be the entry of the first queue when second queue exists of supresser...
How can I get this realized that the concat function is also working in this case?
Is there maybe a workaround?

Hi Lukas
You can add the node function MapwithDefault with default value space after the field which is having suppress value.
Then add the output of MapwithDefault to the second input of concat function.
This will generate the output as the value of first field.
let me know if you have any doubts.

Using Concat function - in Excel Source

Hi,
I am using an Excel file as a source and oracle table as a target.
In the Excel file i need to concatenate two columns and map it to the target oracle column based on a condition.
I used the concat function in Expression Editor, but its throwing an error 'Undefined expression' as our source is not a oracle.
What should i do to execute the excel function in ODI?

Probably, you have mistake in Excell syntax, try to concutenate columns by Oracle (set 'target' radiobutton in mapping and use '||') and we will see...

File to Proxy Scenario using ABAP Class and DB Multi Connect

Hello Friends,
I have a scenario below and a proposed solution. I would like some input as to whether i am headed the right way.
Scenario: Thousands of records come in from the legacy accounting system. The fields of these records need to be mapped to SAP fields using cross-reference tables stored in DB2. Finally, summarize the records by deleting a few fields and feed to R/3.
Solution i proposed:
(1) File Adapter is used to send the file
(2) Although JDBC adapter comes first to mind but since i need to access the DB2 tables multiple times for each record i propose to use an ABAP class for the mapping. Within the ABAP class the intent is to open an database connection to DB2, read the relevant cross tables using native SQL and finally generate the output XML.
(3) Reciever is Proxy which feeds this generated XML to SAP for creating posting via BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST
Question: Is the above solution correct or is there a better method to implement this scenario?

Looks fine. Few observations -
1. Whether it is ABAP class or Mapping in RFC lookup, you are making multiple trips to the database.
2. It looks like PI is being used only for reading the file and converting it to XML.
3. If using PI is not mandatory, then a complete ABAP class on ECC it self would be faster than swtching between PI Java, PI ABAP then round trips to DB2 finally data push to ECC.
If you could look at something like fetching all the required RFC look up data in one go and then map the fields according, might save u on processor and network resources.

Use a function if you want to use the value it returns as you would use any other expression in a SQL statement:
SELECT SYSDATE
,       my_function (column1) AS c1
,       UPPER (column2)        AS c2
FROM    table_x;or in PL/SQL:
IF my_function (x) > 0 THEN ...Use a procedure otherwise; for example, if there is no value to be passed back.
Functions can have OUT (and IN OUT) arguments, but they can cause confusion. Many people use procedures whenever they need OUT arguemnts, which includes all situations where 2 or more values are passed back.
Any good book or site on PL/SQL, or any kind of procedural programming, should explain the differences between functions and procedures.
If you don't have at least that much guidance, it's better not to try using PL/SQL.

Using a function and array to remove stage instances

I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle this.
I have an array of items I want to be looked through and removed if a specific function is running and if the stage contains them.

I'm able to get trace("cheese"); to work at its current position, but the function does not seem to like my "for" and "if" statements because putting trace("cheese") amongst them does not work.
As always, help is appreciated, and let me know if you need more info.
EDIT: Perhaps I should also note I am able to get

EDIT2: Would this have something to do with addChild only being able to remove one instance at a time? I can't imagine that's it since this suppose to be run through a loop.

You appear to have an unhealthy obsession with using the ENTER_FRAME event.
I'm sure you're right, but realize that I'm learning by the seat of my pants and am not great with logic and stuff that doesn't happen chronological. (I'm 26, and graduated with a degree in graphic design.) If I find something that works I'm going to keep using that until I find a better way, and thus far ENTER_FRAME has been all I've had. (I can find tons of AS3 information online, but a lot of it is forum posts seems to be lacking useful context for my purposes.)
For what it's worth (if you remember another post I did that had a ton of event listeners), I've started using more booleans and gotten rid of a lot of listeners adding and removing.
What you might try doing instead of creating all manners of them is to have just one and within that one you manage your objects using conditionals.
So something like this?

          removeChild(campScene);
EDIT: Although this would keep adding a campScene instance, wouldn't it?
EDIT2: Could I write something like this, have one constant event listener (addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, Scenes)...

and use a line to tell the function to temporarily stop listening if campSceneOn = true and campScene is on the stage?
Would "null" work?
Also, is there an equivalent to "stage.contains" that looks to see if the stage does not contain?
That ENTER_FRAME listener is being removed as fast as it was added, whether or not there is something in the array to remove.
So the even though the intention is to only have the removeEventListener only occur if something is found in the array to remove, the script "skips over" that and removes the event listener even if it doesn't "use" the for loop or if statements?

How to get value stored in javascript function and display in a JSP

i am doing a questionaire which is for user to input data in every question, After user input the data, a javascript function will be called to do some score calculation. Since each question will carry its final score after the calculation by the javascript function, so i use an array to store those scores and then display those scores in the same page.
However, i have to make a confirmation page to display both data and calculated score in another jsp, i only know how to display the data as it is a textfield that i can get the value by "request.getParameter("textfield1"); but i dun know how to get those scores as they are stored in an array in the javascript function, what way i can do??

I have chosen to set the score value to the hidden field when every time run the function

Using sum function and round function in single text form field

Hi all,
I have a column Name - A . In the rtf template i have summed up the column A and showing it. But the output is coming as 99.9999997. I want to round it to 100.
I tried using <?round(sum(A),2)?> but dint workout.
I also tried using variables. It is also not working.. I used <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX,’ABS',sum(A)?> and then i used get variable to get it.... But it throwing error while using sum in the set variable step.
Can anyone please help me..

Calculate the sum into a Variable. and apply round function on the variable to get the desired value.
Calculating sum:
<?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX,'v',xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'v')+DOLLARS)?> (its running sum formula,should be placed inside the table to get sum of all rows of particular column)
here Variable 'v' holds the sum value
apply round function:
<?round(xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'v'))?>

Here are the errors I get:
The field "DREF" is unknown, but there is a field with the similar name "OREF" . . . .
When I replace itr by OREF I get:
"OREF" is not a data reference variable.
I then try to change it to dref_tab. I get:
"DREF_TAB" is not a data reference variable.
Any idea? By the way, must there be a HANDLE event for this to work?

Using Hibernate Functionality and pass it on to the JCAPS Oracle eWay

I need to use the Existing Hibernate API's and pass it on to the JCAPS oracle eWay to persist the Data.
As the present Application is using the Hibernate for persisting the Data as we have parent child relation with multiple tables , so we need to push the whole thing in to JCAPS.

NarayanaaI don't think that is secesarily true. You can use oracle eWay to handle the database connection, pooling and XA transactions. You just retrieve the java.sql.Connection object from the eWay and use that in you hibernate code.

How about you try to explain WHY the output is supposed to be as you ask for.
I can think of more than 1 way to do this, each of which would be wrong if I make the wrong assumption about what you are actually trying to do.
