BPEL AutoRecovery Property.

Hi All,
we have a BPEL process, throwing system fault. which is not caught by catch or policy file.
And the fault is getting retried on BPEL Recovery time.
Is there a way to avoid this retry. from composite or BPEL level.
Changing the EM settings will effecting whole BPEL Engine.
Please specify any properties to avoid this retry from either BPEL or composite level.
Thanks
Sujan

don't think you can set this per composite
see : http://ariklalo.com/2012/04/25/stop-the-automatic-instances-recovery-on-em/
for some extra comments
we disabled the auto recovery and created custom retry from an 'error hostpital' web app, in there we can batch retry instances and we also created configuration per service which will evaluate if the process itself may/can be retried or not.
but this is  a lot of more custom work

  • How to set UOO(bea_unitoforder) property within BPEL Adapter property

    Hi,
In oracle documentation JMS message payload field values can be used as correlation properties.
Correlation property aliases are used to define from which payload field the correlation property value is taken.
I need to set the correlation property value from a JMS message header field instead of payload fields. (=JMS JCA Adapter properties).I have a UOO value set same for all messages. Now I need to set this WL property to JMS JCA Adapter property and then create one single instance for all messages in queue.

  • Calling SAP Web Service from BPEL

    Hi
I am trying to call a SAP Web Service friom BPEL using the SAP WSDL.It requires a basic authentication (Username/Password) which i am providing as partnerlink properties in bpel.xml.
While testing the BPEL Process from the console, it is giving me an error
    "<summary>exception on JaxRpc invoke: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 401 Unauthorized</summary>"
But when i am testing it from SOAP UI tool it is giving me the desired response.
Does anyone has any idea why it is failing from BPEL?Is there any configuration which i am missing?
    Regards
    Ayush

    HI Ayush / Suryaveer..
I am stuck at the same situation, trying to invoke a secured SAP webservice. The invoke fails with a security previlege exception.
Am using the basicHeaders property to propagate the credentials to the SAP system.
Can you please suggest on the same.
    credential propagation in bpel.xml :
    <property name="basicHeaders">propagate</property>
    <property name="basicUsername">ABC</property>

    1. I have a BPEL process polling for a table on AS/400, then writes the entries into

    2. when I tried to deploy the BPEL process, it failed during the intiation time. below is my oc4j-ra.xml, application.xml, domain.log information.
FYI, I get the same error against the SQL server. Works fine against the oracle table.

  • Pass parameter into BPEL WS

We have a hardcoded email address we use for testing error messages during development.
We would like to be able to change the email address with an ant deployment plan. How can we create a variable to store this value that can then be changed in the deployment plan? Can the deployment plan change the bpel file?
We've tried using a default value in one of the xsd files but cannot figure out how to make an assign or transform grab that default or fixed value. It keeps saying null or empty. Is there a xsl function to grab this? We tried using @default on the end of the getvariabledata with no luck, but I think that's mixing schemas because default is part of xsd not our actual schema.
    Thanks,

I tried the customizeDocument but it causes errors. I must not be doing it right.
Is there a function similar to ora:getPreference() that will get the "Email_To2" property from the <configurations>??
In the bpel.xml below, I can change the "Email_To2" value using the deployment plan but can't get to it from the bpel code.

  • Integration with PeopleSoft Applications Using Oracle SOA Suite 11g BPEL

    Hi,
I'm integrating BPEL with Peoplesoft FSCM 9.0 Application on tools 8.49 using Oracle SOA Suite 11g. The BPEL invokes the web service method generated from Peoplesoft Component Interface in a synchronuos manner.
I have deployed the BPEL in Oracle SOA Suite 11g using Jdeveloper successfully but I have problem in configuring the BPEL node in Peoplesoft side using Oracle SOA Suite 11g(FMW) . I had done the integration of BPEL with Peoplesoft FSCM 9.0 on tools 8.49 using Oracle SOA Suite 10g earlier successfully by configuring BPEL node properties as follows:
BPEL CONSOLE : http://Host Name:8888/BPELConsole (System with Oracle SOA Suite 10g server for deployment)
    BPEL DOMAIN : default
Using this BPEL node configuration, I was able to ping the BPEL console of Oracle SOA Suite 10g from peoplesoft and hence complete the integration successfully.
Now in order to acomplish Business rules and other functionality, the BPEL application has been developed in Oracle SOA Suite 11g using Jdeveloper 11g. This time I'm not able to configure the BPEL node in Peoplesoft for this integration as I'm assuming there is no separate BPEL console in Oracle SOA Suite 11g. All the BPEL deployments are administered in console (11g console used for deployment of BEPL)
http://Host Name:7001/em (System with Oracle SOA Suite 11g server - Fusion Middleware).
So when I Configured the BPEL node property in Peoplesoft as :
BPEL CONSOLE : http://Host Name:7001/em (System with Oracle SOA Suite 11g server for deployment)
    BPEL DOMAIN : default
I'm not able to ping the Peoplesoft BPEL node to the Oracle SOA Suite 11g. Hence I'm not able to proceed with my integration.
When I searched the OTN discussion forum on BPEL console for Oracle SOA Suite 11g, all threads point that there is no separate BPEL console unlike Oracle SOA Suite 10g. Also most of the articles for Integration with Peoplesoft Application using SOA 11g do not state any specific configuration setting for property of Peoplesoft BPEL node in order to integrate with BPEL 11g. The examples published in OTN still point towards screen shots of integration using SOA Suite 10g.
So I'm not able to proceed in this regard.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Girish

    typo error

    Hi,
I found this document from the Oracle Open World 2009 (maybe you have found it too) :
"Integration with PeopleSoft applications using oracle soa suite 11g BPEL" --> [http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/fmw4apps/peoplesoft/pdf/oow2009-bpel-psft.pdf]
And this could be a little more simple, but have a good step-by-step tutorial.
I think you must read this docs by now, but never come amiss.
    Hope this can help you,
By the way, if you can help me with this I'll appreciate it a lot.

    Hello All,

The structure of our automated deployment script is as follows:
First, a batch script calls (Jdeveloper_BPEL_Prompt.bat) in order to set all necessary environment variables i.e. ORACLE_HOME, BPEL_HOME, ANT_HOME, etc for ant.
Next, the script lists every .jar file within the directory to an .ini file called BPEL_List.ini. Furthermore, BPEL_DIR, ADMIN_USER and ADMIN_PSWD variables are set and initialized respectively to:
    -     “.” – point to directory where script is running from because all the BPEL processes are located here
    -     “oc4jadmin”
    -     “*********” (whatever the password for out environment is)
We’ve developed a method to have the script prompt the user to select the target environment to deploy to. Once the user selects the appropriate environment, the script goes through the BPEL_List.ini files and a loop tells it that for every BPEL process listed:
    DO ant
    -Dprocess.name=%%b
    -Drev= !Rev!
    -Dpath=%BPEL_DIR%
    -Ddomain=default
    -Dadmin.user=%ADMIN_USER%
    -Dadmin.password=%ADMIN_PWD%
    -Dhttp.hostname=%HOST%
    -Dhttp.port=%PORT%
    -Dverbose=true
(What’s happening is that the variables in the batch file are being passed on to the ANT script where *%%b* is the process name, !rev! is revision #, and so on…)
The loop goes through each line in the BPEL_List.ini and tokenizes the BPEL process into 3 parts *(%%a, %%b, and %%c)* but we only extract 2 parts: *%%b* (process name) and *%%c* which becomes !Rev! (revision number).
    Example:
    Sample BPEL process:
    bpel_ThisIsProcess1_1.0.jar
    bpel_ThisIsProcess2_SOAv2.19.0.001B.jar
    After tokenizing:
    %%a     %%b     %%c
    bpel     ThisIsProcess1     1.0.jar
    bpel     ThisIsProcess2     SOAv2.19.0.001B.jar
*!Rev!* and not *%%c* because *%%c* will return whatever the revision number is + the “.jar” file extension as illustrated above. So to circumvent this, we parse *%%c* so that the last 4 characters are stripped. Such is done like this:
    set RevN=%%c
    set RevN=!RevN:~0,-4!
    Hence, the usage of !Rev!.

    SUMMARY OF ISSUE AT HAND:
~ Every bpel process w/ 1.0 revision deploys with no problems
~ At first I would get an invalid character error most likely due to the “!” preceding “Rev”, but then I decided to set rev=”false” in the build.xml file. That didn’t work quite well. In another attempt, I decided to leave the –Drev= attribute within the batch script blank. That still led to 1.0s going through. My next thought was deploying something other than a 1.0, such as 1.2 or 2.0 and that’s when I realized that if it wasn’t a 1.0, it refused to go through.
    QUESTIONS:
    1.     IS THERE A WAY TO HAVE ANT LOOK INTO THE BPEL PROCESS AND PULL THE REVISION ID?
    2.     WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG? ARE WE MISSING ANYTHING?
    3.     DID WE GO TOO FAR? MEANING, IS THERE A MUCH EASIER WAY WE OVERLOOKED/FORGOT/OR DON’T KNOW ABOUT THAT EXISTS?

Only thing i can think of is instead of using a MAC ACL , u cud jus use the default class
    Policy Map Test
    class class-default
    police 56000 8000 exceed-action drop
    Class Map match-any class-default (id 0)
    Match any
    You would be saving a MAC-ACL ;-).

  • Setting Preferences in bpel.xml

Hi again, in the bpel.xml you can configure preferences
for setting value pair properties that are defined in the deployment descriptor of a BPEL process and can be accessed at runtime by the BPEL process
    eg
    <BPELSuitcase>
    <BPELProcess id="test" src="test.bpel">
    <preferences>
    <<property name="myConstant">50</property>
    </preferences>
    </BPELProcess>
    </BPELSuitcase>
Is there a way this can also be done at the domain level,
where you can set preference values that can be accessed by all deployed processes? We are basically want to set global runtime "constants" which can be altered and maintained from the BPEL console for all deployed processes.
    thanks
    -Sean

    Thanks Edwin.
I have a chicken and egg problem here in that I want to set up a list of global values
that apply to all deployed processes. So I run something like
    ora:doc("http://www.bpel.com:9700/wscommon/globalparams.xml", "/configuration/MaxValue").
This works fine, however I need to hardcode the full url of the file which is deployed to
get it to get it too work.
Is there a way of either accessing this domain wideglobal file relatively such as either
    -ora:doc("/wscommon/globalparams.xml", "/configuration/MaxValue")
    -ora:doc("../wscommon/globalparams.xml", "/configuration/MaxValue")
    -ora:doc("%hostname%/wscommon/globalparams.xml", "/configuration/MaxValue")

  • Calling secured webservices from BPEL 10.1.3.5 (oc4j)

    Hi all,
I'm trying to call a username/password secured service on a SAP system - it works perfectly with SoapUI.
After some time I managed to get it working also in BPEL
    with
    <property name="basicHeaders">credentials</property>
    <property name="basicUsername">bcuser</property>
    <property name="basicPassword">abcd1234</property>
it works, but very slow, since it sends the whole SOAP-Envelope, waits for a 401 not authorized and then resends with a base64 coded username/password string.
In SoapUI there is a setting preemptive Authentication to overcome this, it sends the string right away.
The same propery "preemptiveAuthentication" is also available in the partnerlink-properties, but after applying, the base64 coded string ist wrong
Decoded it is not bcuser:abcd1234 but null:nwl
Sending every envelope twice is not an option for high-volume large messages.
Any help / other thoughts highly welcome!
best regards & thanks in advance,
    Reinhard

  • JCA Adapter matchManagedConnection and BPEL

We have a implementation of the J2CA Adapter to integrate an Oracle EIS application with other Oracle Applications. From the perspective of our JCA Adapter (to the EIS), information arrives via BPEL code (which in turn gets it from other Oracle Applications). The information from BPEL signifies what activity to do etc.
We have implemented the interface ManagedConnectionFactory.matchManagedConnections, within which we are supposed return a matching ManagedConnection with respect to the incoming Connection request. However, I am unaware on what basis this matching should be done . The ManagedConnection implementation is directly associated with a connection to the EIS. Thus, for activities such as below, the same ManagedConnection from the matchManagedConnections should be returned for all the operations until a commit is invoked. How do I do it? Based on what criteria?
BPEL -> open transaction -> JCA -> open transaction -> EIS
BPEL -> activity (say insert operation) -> JCA -> insert operation -> EIS
BPEL -> commit transaction -> JCA -> commit transaction -> EIS
Is there some BPEL partnerLink property which can be used to determine that for the current Connection request a particular ManagedConnection has to be returned? ConnectionRequestInfo contains only username/password and hence is useless in this scenario.
The App Server is OC4J 10.1.3.1.
    Thanks,

  • WsdlLocation property

    Hi
I got this error while deploying to the local BPEL server (default domain) ! how can i fix it ??
where should i add the "wsdlLocation" property
Error: [Error ORABPEL-10802]: no wsdlLocation [Description]: in "C:\OraBPELPM\integration\jdev\jdev\mywork\Workspace_BPELDemo\BPEL_Report\bpel.xml", property "wsdlLocation" is not set in partnerLinkBinding config of "client". Property "wsdlLocation" provides the WSDL of the partnerLink and is mandatory. [Potential fix]: add wsdlLocation property.
    Thanks

    Mike,
In my project i am using only 1bpel and 1wsdl file (i defined all partnerlinks and porttypes) in it .
i avoided the error i was getting by commenting out the following
    " xmlns:client="http://xmlns.oracle.com/BpelDemoExample"
    xmlns:IssuesWorkGroup="http://xmlns.oracle.com/BpelDemoExample"
1-in the ".wsdl" file , in the <definitions> element
2- in the". bpel" file in the <process > element after the "targetNamespace" attribute.
but now i got an other error similar to something you've been experiencing (as i read in a previous PostMessage by you) . However in my case it's a bit different.
the Error i got is :
"Error: [Error ORABPEL-10903]: failed to read wsdl [Description]: in "bpel.xml", Failed to read wsdl. Error happened when reading wsdl at "C:\OraBPELPM\integration\jdev\jdev\mywork\Workspace_BPELDemo\BPEL_Report\BPEL_Report.wsdl", because "WSDLException: faultCode=INVALID_WSDL: Could not find message: null". Make sure wsdl exists at that URL and is valid. . [Potential fix]: If your site has a proxy server, then you may need to configure your BPEL Server, designer and browser with your proxy server configuration settings (see tech note on http://otn.oracle.com/bpel for instructions). "
    Thanks again,
    regards.

    Hi, ronen!
    Thank you.
I followed the steps and the there were no exceptions then.
    However, new runtime error emerged.
The BPEL PM Server cannot build Toplink Session. But I do not know why.
The messeges from the "Start BPEL PM Server" console about this project (named "TryDB") is as following (DoSelect is the service name of the DB Adapter):
    <::Outbound><oracle.tip.adapter.db.ox.TopLinkXMLProjectInitializer initialize> I
