BPEL customisation on look up field on human task jsp notification.

We want to customize human task jsp notification
Some of files are needed to populate a static list or SQL query and we need to use cascading list on custom jsp file.
can we do this declaretively or we need to develop to code.
if we need to code how ?
Thanks...

Our some of the human task parameter need to be dynamic list
For example we have a job parameter whose data came from jobs table.
We can't find how we can do declaretively from task definitions.
So we tried to solve this customizing jsp code.
First We create a human task
and then we create auto generate simple task form jsp's.
We want to customize this jsp's.
Some of task parameter need to be a a list box on this jsp.
so we need to change fallowing procedures (I think)
<%=getField(payload, form, context, thisDisabled, locale, task, "Next User", "/ns0:task/ns0:payload/ns0:NextUser", "string")%>
So we need to sample code how can we do it...
Thanks...

  • Pdf email attachment for human task detail notification

    We have a human task detail notification with pdf attachment.
    The email notification (generated automatically) flat out all content but no pdf attachment.
    Is this supported and if yes how to make it work?

    You can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
    Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
    After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.

  • Human Task JSPs not deploying on SOA 10.1.3.1 production

    Hi All,
    I am trying to use a custom JSP for a Human Task on SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 & JDev 10.1.3.1. It seems that the JSPs are not being deployed, or they are being deployed in the wrong place.
    The error I get in the Worklist application, when I try to view a task is:
    The requested URL /default/FridayMorning/1.0/HumanTask1/HumanTask1.jsp was not found on this server.
    I have tried this on multiple SOA Suite server machines, one with only one domain, and one with multiple domains, and have also tried developing the project on different JDevelopers on different machines, with the same result.
    I could not find the JSP registered anywhere on the AS Control. I understand they are meant to be deployed under orabpel?
    The BPEL Suitcase does not contain any jsp files, and in the output directory, there is a .jsps folder which contains the java and class files that relate to the JSPs.
    To recreate:
    Open JDev
    Create a new application
    Create a new BPEL project
    Drop a Human Task into the process
    Give it a name
    Click on the magic wand to define the task
    Give it a name
    Click on the + to add a parameter, select the payload of inputVariable
    Click on the + to add someone to route to, pick a user
    Save
    Close Human Task
    Save process
    In the Applications Navigator, expand the project, right click on the HumanTask folder and select Auto Generate Simple Task Form
    Save all
    Build all
    Deploy to BPEL server
    Go to BPEL console, start the process
    Go to BPEL worklist, select the task
    The error appears.
    We have also tried using custom JSPs (instead of simple ones).
    Also, I noticed that if you delete task form files from the popup menu, and then regenerate them, you only get the .tform file, no JSPs are generated.
    Can anyone else verify this happens to them?
    Thanks,
    Mark Nelson

    OCMS stands for Oracle Communication and Mobility Server and is basically a SIP Container embedded as a hook into OC4J 10.1.3.1. I'm using JDK 1.5.0_12-b04. Wondering if there's any other way to check configuration of the JSP compiler.
    Thanks for your help,

  • Human Task email notification and IMS

    Hi Chaps,
    I have a requirement to enable the email notification functionality embedded in Human Tasks. This email functionality presumably emails everyone for that role based on their email information located in Enterprise Manager -> Security -> my relam (?), however when I log into Business Process WorkSpace and try to edit the email address - it states that "Do not use this channel for BPEL User Notification or Human Workflow; it is not stored in the identify management system and will not work"
    Does this mean that I have to directly alter the LDAP Directory (somehow?) or will logging into Enterprise Manager and changing it manually suffice?
    Any help you could provide would be most welcome!
    Thanks..

    To know the more details on email notification using human tasks, follow the below link
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_hwfmodel.htm#BABICIAH
    Also, if you are trying to send emails without using LDAP, then simply configure the email driver in */em and assign the roles to whom you want to send the email to.

  • BPEL Test waits forever to receive callback from human task service

    Hi,
    I've created a test (CreditCardInvalidTest.xml) to test a bpel process (testbpel.bpel) which contains a call to a human task service. The problem is when the test executes it waits forever to receive the response message from the human task service but clearly i've emulated it! Would appreciate help.
    I've attached both files and highlighted the relevant sections. Thanks.

    RaviKiran,
    I agree that the explanation oracle provided in the attach link, is a bit confusing. The main goal there is to describe the behavior of processes, when there is a need to combine, or split the transactions within those processes (or in some cases the processes themselves).
    The thing is - The default transaction for a synchronous process is requiresNew. That was until version 11.1.1.6. On this last version, you are asking to enter a Transaction parameter when creating a new synchronous bpel process. The default value being prompt is required and that's what causing the problem – You automatically accept the default.
    The assumption is, that developing bpel processes, should come with understanding of all those behaviors.
    The problem for my understanding is that some of those behaviors were not so cleared until now.

  • Add a Human Task in BPEL but it shows as an Auto Task in BPA

    Hi, all,
    I create a BPMN flow in BPA and mapping to BPEL. And I add a Human Task in jDeveloper, and saved back to BPA server. But the problem is the updated BPMN flow shows that I added a Auto Task in BPA. Could you help me on that? Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Bill

    Hi Bill,
    Prefatory a quick intro on the basic idea of the BPA concept and a few personal recommendations. In general all changes on the control flow should be initiated top-down from the business process, which means your requirement becomes relevant only in certain cases. If the refinement of the BPEL process is going beyond the technical implementation, then the BPMN diagram itself needs to be corrected. That being said, in certain cases it may be sensible to make use of the improvement proposal feature (e.g. the IT developer recognizes the need of an additional service invocation, so that the control flow of the business process has to be refined).
    Referring to your issue these changes are displayed as Automated Activities (abstract) in the superior business process (in BPA). For this reason some activities require a different approach when it comes to accepting or rejecting by the business users. The description below provides an overview about how-to add activities in BPEL subsequently (as improvement proposals) and how they will be represented in the superior business process after synchronization (personal recommendations).
    Control flow
    Email, Fax, Pager, Pager, SMS, Voice+
    BPEL process (JDeveloper)+
    Encapsulate within a separate Abstract activity - choose a name, which helps to identify that this should be a Notification activity (define naming conventions in the conventions handbook).
    Business process (BP Architect)+

  • Problem in BPEL Human task

    I am developing the BPEL process in jdeveloper11g. I used Human task for serial approvers.
    When I test the service I was able to see the Recive and Callback of human task.
    I want to Invoke partner link (used for DB adapter) whenever first approval approves the task . So that I can update the status of current approval as approved ( second approval status should be Pending), after approving from second approver only the second approver status should be updated as approved.
    but the procedure of updating status i.e.. Invoking partner link is executed after approved by all approvals.
    Please let me what I am missing.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sandeep.

    I am using Invoke activity to retrive data from data adapter . After that I am using While activity to iterate from the retrived data. And in While activity I placed Assign activity along with Invoke Activity to update retrived data.
    but here insted of iterating from each record it goes infinite loop.
    I have given "true () " as expression for While activity.
    please let me where I am missing. Please its very urgent.
    Thank you.

  • Human task notification after due date/expiration date/...

    I would like to set a due date (or expiration date) to Human task, and set some notification before this time. Ok, it seemed very easy:
    - i set due date to 5 minutes in human task -> Deadlines
    - i set notifications in human task -> notification and in tab Advanced i set remind once 2 minutes before due date
    Nothing happens. Exactly same (nothing) happens when i do the same with expiration date.
    But what exactly is meaned under word "Reminder"?
    It's mail? (then where I have to set email adress? I tried to set a "to" field in human task -> notification -> tab Advanced -> notif. header attributes => nothing happened)
    It's worklist inbox message?
    Or what ist "reminder" and how it should remind me?

    Hi,
    I don’t know if you’ve managed to resolve this issue yet and you mention you have emails working from BPEL, but I'm not sure if you've got any notifications working for the Human Task, if not then I have done some work with the human task notifications and although I’ve not tried to do what you’re doing, this is what I have learned.
    Firstly to receive any notifications you need to configure the Messaging Driver and Workflow Notification Properties…
    In Enterprise Manager expand [farm] -> SOA -> soa-infra
    Right click soa-infra and choose SOA Administration -> Workflow Notification Properties
    Underneath the page title (Workflow Notification Properties) is a note telling you to configure the Messaging Service Driver. Click the "Go to the Messaging Driver page" link.
    In the associated drivers section you will have a single entry for soa_server1 (or what ever it's called for you). In the right hand column there is a button for configuring the driver, click this.
    In the driver specific configuration, scroll down to OutgoingMailServer and enter the hostname or IP address of your mail server, then click Apply at the top of the screen.
    Now go back to the Workflow Notification Properties screen and choose “Email” from the notification Mode and enter some sensible email addresses in the Notification Service section. It’s useful to have real email addresses in here at the moment because any failures will be returned to this address.
    You now need to restart Weblogic for these changes to take affect.
    After the restart you can test the notifications by doing the following
    Back in Enterprise Manager expand [farm] -> SOA -> soa-infra
    Right click soa-infra and choose Service Engines -> Human Workflow
    Click on the Notification Management tab.
    You can click the "Sent Test Notification" button to make sure everything is working ok. This screen also allows you to monitor notifications for failures.
    Now that the notifications have been set up you can configure who gets notified on which events against your human task in JDeveloper.
    The email addresses for the users are retrieved from your identify provider for the relevant user, by default this is the internal LDAP directory. I’m not using this, so I’m not sure exactly how this will work. There are options in the worklist application for individual users, but I’m not using this either.
    Now that this is set up you can configure the human task within JDeveloper. On the notification tab you can decide who gets notified when. By default when a task is assigned to a user, the assignees are notified, you can play about with these settings to see what works best for you. Have a look at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_workflow.htm#BABBHDGF for more information.
    I’m not sure I’ve solved your problem, but I hope this at least helps.

  • Human task history

    We want to see the changes in Humnatask payload Oracle BPEL 10.1.3.3 as a history.
    We want to see Who changed which field in Human task payload.
    we found WFTaskHistory table but this table is not shown task field.
    is there any way yo do it ?
    Thanks.

    RuntimeConfigService seem to supply a solution
    We can't find a how to documen to configure it.?
    Do we need to write javacode to make? Or is there any where on bpel consele?
    Any documentation ?
    Thanks.

  • Human Task Bulk API calls from ADF Entity Object

    Dear all,
    Jdev: 11.1.1.7.1
    We have a requirement where in human task APIs need to be invoked on status changes of an ADF Entity (EO). We presently achieve this in the afterCommit() method and all is well.
    But we are looking to leverage the Human Task bulk update APIs and am wondering how to do that.
    The EO does support a batch mode - Is there a batch mode API that we can override to place the bulk update API call?
    Thanks

    in version 11.1.1.6 getInputStream() and getContent() do not work, this is know bug you can find in the oracle support at
    https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/ui/km/SearchDocDisplay.jspx?_afrLoop=175895926830291&type=DOCUMENT&id=1451100.1&displayIndex=8&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=tlzphlagm_69
    there you can find a .zip file with a full example code.
    Actually Oracle does not consider it a bug:
    "This issue was reviewed by Engineering in Bug 13873092 and is not considered a bug. There is a workaround to retrieve task contents through 'WFTaskUpdate' Servlet as described in the attached Sample project."
    but in my opinion it is a very big bug endeed, and it drove me mad for days! :(
    Anyway here is a snippet with the workaroud in case you do not have access to the oracle support site:
    if att is you attachment and wfContext is your workflow context set somewhere
    AttachmentType att;
    IWorkflowContext wfContext;
    instead of doing this
    InputStream inputStream = att.getInputStream();
    do this
    String contextId = wfContext.getToken();
    String attachmentURL = WFUtils.getTaskUpdateURL(att.getTaskId(), contextId, "" + att.getVersion(),att.getName(),
    Constants.WFTASK_QUERY_ATTACHMENT_BUTTON_KEY_NAME);
    if ( attachmentURL == null ) {
    System.out.println("Unable to generate URL to get attachmentcontent");
    try {
    URL url = new URL(attachmentURL);
    URLConnection conn = url.openConnection();
    InputStream inputStream = conn.getInputStream();
    } catch ( Exception e ) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    hope this helps

  • Problem with Human Task(hw_services)

    Hi,
    We are facing a problem using the Human Task in a BPEL process.
    When we add a human task and for any BPEL process in Jdeveloper and tried to add a new user to it no Realm is getting selected.
    And when we try to lookup for users getting an error message
    ' Identity Service Client Error
    BPMIdentityService has client error
    Contact oracle support if error is not fixable'
    We're using the default settings for security on dev server.
    Our SOA suite configured on HP-UX machine and using Oracle XE DB which is on Windows XP machine.
    This is working fine with other configurations working on Windows machines.
    And other interesting thing we found is,When we open the em console we didn't find any webservices unders 'hw_services'
    ( IdentityConfigServicePort,IdentityServicePort IdentityService, TaskMetadataServicePort TaskMetadataService,TaskQueryServicePort TaskQueryService,TaskServicePort are not there)
    seems our hw_services are not configured properly. Everything else is working fine.
    Please help advice as it is very urgent...
    Thanks in advance...
    -Sri

    Hi Marc,
    Thank you very much for the reply.
    WorkList Application's URL mentioned in the wf_config.xml is working fine and we are getting the login page.
    But the SOAP endpoints mentioned in wf_client_config.xml for other webservices like Identity Services are not working. Getting HTTP 404 Not Found error message
    We didn't face any other problems with the config.
    Please help advice whether any other details are needed to solve this issue....
    Thanks again...

  • Human Task & Notification Services

    Hi! i have a little question about Human Task and Notification Services.
    I have a Human Task with an outcome OK/CANCEL actions, reading the 10.1.3 Dev Guide chapter 15 about notification services, i found an excellent feature i want to use, in the task definition if i mark the "make email messages actionables" checkbox, the user assignee to the task will receive an email with the two outcoume options of the task, the OK/CANCEL already defined, i need to change the wf_config.xml to define <actionableEmailAccountName> tag to configure this functionality, but there is no documentation about how to configure this file, and checking the checkbox there is no changes on the mail message sent to the user, checking or not the option i always get the same email with two attachments, one with a link to the worklist and another one with the payload of the task.
    How can i configure the mail notification to enable the links to my outcome actions?
    any help, advice and guide is welcome!!!
    best regards and blesses!

  • Human task preventing to press go button. (required field in payload)

    We have an one step BPEL human task implementation and assigned user must be filll some field of payload before sending task.
    The problem is we are using standart worklist app and assinged user can send the task from worklist without opening it. So we can't control required field.
    We need a Precondition like rule
    is there any way to
    Our SOA suite version is 10.1.3.3.
    Thanks.

    Know this is probably not the direction you wanted to go, but look at Vinay Kumar's blog post on using an initializer:  http://www.techartifact.com/blogs/2013/04/using-a-task-flow-initializer-to-initialize-a-task-flow.html#sthash.CG1CAgfz.1….  (pretty sure he got this from Nick Haralabidis's book: Oracle JDeveloper 11gR2 Cookbook: Nick Haralabidis: 9781849684767: Amazon.com: Books).
    In this a prepare method is created in the Application Module impl java similar to your initialization code:
      public void prepare() {
        // get emps vo instance
        EmployeesVOImpl employees;
        employees = (EmployeesVOImpl)getEmployeesVO();
        // remove all rows from emp rowset
        employees.executeEmptyRowSet();
        // add a new emp row
        EmployeesVORowImpl employee = (EmployeesVORowImpl) employees.createRow();
        // add new emp to rowset
        employees.insertRow(employee);
    Once you expose this as being a Client Interface in your application module, you have the method available to you to drag into your task flow and set the task flow's "URL Invoke" property to "url-invoke-allowed").  This would give you the empty row you're going to populate.
    I don't go this route and instead drag a CreateInsert method onto the task flow as the initial default activity and then flow to the page.  To commit it, just create a binding for the Application Module's commit operation and invoke it from the backing bean when you intercept the submit action.
    Hope this helps,
    Dan
