BPEL Process Errors at XML Gateway

Hi
I am in the process of developing AP Invoice Inbound process using BPEL.
Process errored outs at XML Gateway with below error.
The Standard:OAG, Transaction Type:AP , Transaction SubType:INI and Location Code 1 is not enabled in the XML Gateway Server. Pls check your Setup.
I have gone through the XML Gateway setup but could not able to locate what exactly the problem.
Could anybody help me out to fix this problem.
Regards
Kiran Akkiraju

Hi,
I am also experiencing the very same problem - does anyone have a solution for this or is this a bug?
Thanks.
Tony.

  • Error in inbound processing: EDI message - XML Gateway

    Hello!
    I've setup a DELFOR transaction in B2B and modified XML Gateway settings for internal delivery channel in order to send the message to EBS, but I'm getting weird errors in b2b.log. (XML Gateway in EBS is not setup yet, but it should't be an issue since incoming errors are handled in EBS, and I would just see an inbound transaction with processing errors in Transaction Monitor.)
    In the beginning of b2b.log I see this:

    Wire message stays in Processing status, Business message is errored and an exception message is created in ip_in_queue.
    Both remote and host delivery channels have retry set to 1. Agreement was re-deployed + all B2B restared, but the problem remained.
    Could anyone help with this? What could be wrong?
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards,

    PS. I've checked all threads that might have anything to do with this, but found nothing useful.

    Hi Anuj,
    thanks for taking the time to examine the file.
    Answers to your questions:
    1. Yes, this is the 1st time for B2B, but the EBS I'm trying to connect to is up and running for approx. 2 years (it's a test instance).
    2. Patching was done by the customer's sysadmin, so I don't really have an overview on what and how he did. Result of opatch:
    Installed Patch List:
    =====================
    1) Patch 8298731 applied on Sat Jun 13 09:23:42 CEST 2009
    2) Patch 5907304 applied on Thu Jul 17 14:26:55 CEST 2008
    3. In theory the sysadmin should have run it, but how could I double-check this?
    I know he had problems while applying patch 8298731, but he said it was solved later. (Customer is using windows os, which is making a lot of troubles otherwise.)
    Regarding IDC log there is no success. I've restared B2B at least 5 times plus once the database, but still nothing. In tip.properties:
    oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.transportTrace = C:\APPS\OAS\ip\log/transport.trc
    also I tried the following values:
    C:\\APPS\\OAS\\ip\\log/transport.trc (since there is a similar entry: oracle.tip.LogDirectory = C:\\APPS\\OAS\\ip\\log)
    C:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\APPS\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\OAS\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ip\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\log/transport.trc (this was commented before; maybe it comes from some default)
    true (I had no other idea)
    Result is the same for all the cases: b2b_idc_transport.log file is 0 bytes, but b2b_dc_transport.log has initial data+writes log when processing.
    If I remove or comment the above line from tip.properties, then no transport log files are created.
    I've updated the agreement to have B2B inbound for the internal delivery channel, re-deployed it and it worked fine -> transaction(s) appeared in IP_IN_QUEUE.
    Changing it back to XML Gateway (and re-deploying) causes all original problems.

    Wanda

  • Error in XML Gateway Processing - java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

    Hi All,
    We have B2B Customizations for Processing Orders in our Applications .
    While an Inbound Document(ORDERSTATUS Document) got processed in our Application, we could find the Document being errored out in XML gateway with the following errors:
    (Note: Partners are on E2Open Gateway and we dont use Webmethods)
    1) ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError- ECX_INBOUND_NEW.PROCESS_XML_DOC
    2) ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError - ecx_utils.INITIALIZE:
    The Error has occured only twice (one in the month of May and the other in June) and its not replicable.
    We verified all the Trending aspects (If the Issue is due to XML Document content, Specific to a particular Partner etc).
    But we didnt find any clue about the occurence of this error.
    Kindly provide your views on the occurence of the error.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Mangala.

    Hi Mangala,
    This error comes when JVM runs out of memory. Few cause may be -
    1. You are trying to operate on a very large file (comparing to your system's primary memory)
    2. You are trying to parse an xml, use SAX parser for best performance
    3. Your JVM_OPTIONS value is not sufficient
    You may consider increasing your JVM_OPTIONS value to some appropriate limit.
    Are you working with Matthew Sullivan/Richard's team?

  • Could not initiate the BPEL process :the input xml is not well formed err

    Hi
    I am calling a bpel process from the bpel console. It is a syncronous process and just fetches values from the database. I see that when ever i call this for some inputs i get the following error , in the response.
    Could not initiate the BPEL process because the input xml is not well formed, the reason is :
    Error parsing envelope: (1, 6168) Invalid char in text. Please correct the input xml.
    When i see the log i have the following message

    I understand that the error is coming with parsing the output from the database values. Further i see the process is completed successfully when i see the flow and log and the out is present in the output response. Has any body faced this issue. What is that character that it is nto able to parse as the error says.
    Thanks

    hi
    I have tried it using both xml and the initiate tab. I get the same error every time i do it for a particular value. i further think that this is occuring for the out put response that is got from the data base as the log says. ( given in the initial post). I can surely paster the input xml for you

    Yes we have got the same error while invoking from SOAP UI.
    But wsdl alone is opening through browser.
    But when we try opening the endpoint url we are getting the above error.
    Please help!

  • BPEL process to Insert XML into DB using pl/sql stored proc

    Hi,
    We have created a BPEL process in which we are taking input request and store it into Oracle Database using PL/SQL proc.
    We have been unsuccessful in doing so because the data stored in table has root element missing.
    Has any body done this (insert xml into DB using pl/sql stored proc) successfully ?
    We can so this successfully if we do not use stored procedure and store data directly in table.
    Regards

    I have done this, stored it as a CLOB.
    Also I received the payload as an opaque schema, so I had to convert the message from binary into string.
    This way the root element doesn't get removed.
    cheers

    There are two ways to check this:
    - from the container, login to Oracle Enterprise Manager (<server>:<port>/em), find your OC4J instance where SOA Suite is running, then click the 'Administration' link. Then click the task icon at 'services', 'JDBC Resources'. Check the datasources there to see if they all point to the correct location.
    - from JDeveloper, open the demo project. Double click the Database adapter(s) to see which connection is used. If you get an error, the connection probably isn't defined in JDeveloper. Click on the 'new..' button, and create a new database connection. The redeploy the project and try again.

    I do not understand the error. 'GeneralFault' is defined in MySvc-v1.wsdl and not in a separate xsd.

    So does anyone know why I m getting the following error when the definition of "GeneralFault" is in the .wsdl file? According to the error messge, it sounds like I have to define it in a .xsd file.

  • XML input into BPEL Process

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a BPEL process which receives XML input and then uses this input to insert data into the database.
    I have a stored procedure which will accept the input variables and do the insert.
    My XML looks like below:
    <Acc_type>
    <code> ABC </code>
    <name> Savings Account </name>
    </Acc_type>
    My stored Procedure has to input variables - code and name. I have changed the Receive activities, Process Request to include 2 inputs - code and name.
    I am not sure what changes need to be made to specify that the input will be in XML and also how to map the XML to the variables.
    Also, is it possible to use the same format for the XML as used when you initiate a BPEL Process and select XML Source? If I do this will I still need to make other changes?
    Thanks...

    Hi,
    I have tried implementing the ora:parseEscapedXML function, I have used the following expression to copy the data in the CODE node to my variable also called CODE.
    ora:parseEscapedXML(bpws:getVariableData('inputVariable','payload','/client:TestXML2ProcessRequest/client:input','/Acc_Type/code'))
    I get the following error message:
    ORABPEL-09500 XPath expression failed to execute. Error while processing xpath expression, the expression is "ora:parseEscapedXML(bpws:getVariableData('inputVariable','payload','/client:TestXML2ProcessRequest/client:input','//Acc_Type/code'))", the reason is FOTY0001: type error. Please verify the xpath query.
    I am not sure if the format of my expression is correct especially - '/Acc_Type/code'

  • XML format for input to BPEL process from client stub

    Hi,
    I have deployed SyncHelloWorld BPEL process as given in the tutorial in the BPEL Server. It is working fine. Now I am trying to invoke the process by creating a Java client stub . I created a stub using the Web-services wizard by specifying the WSDL of the BPEL. Now I want to know how to pass some string through XML document to the BPEL process.
    I am using this code in the main method of the stub., but the value is not being passed to the BPEL nodes correctly. the output I am getting is "Hello "
    and not "Hello XYZString". I think I am not able to form the XML document to pass as input correctly. Can anyone help.
    Can anyone please help :
    public static void main(String[] args)
    try
    SyncHelloWorldStub stub = new SyncHelloWorldStub();
    // Add your own code here.
    // Create an empty XML document
    XMLDocument doc = new XMLDocument();
    // Create an element
    Element body = doc.createElementNS("http://xmlns.oracle.com/SyncHelloWorld", "SyncHelloWorldProcessRequest");
    // Create the inner element
    Element ip = doc.createElementNS("http://xmlns.oracle.com/SyncHelloWorld", "input");
    // Create a text node
    Text text = doc.createTextNode("input");
    // Set the input parameter
    text.setNodeValue("XYZString");
    ip.appendChild(text);
    body.appendChild(ip);

    Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Debojyoty

    Your last question shows that you might have solved this by now.
    The xml document you are composing in java might not exactly be the xml input bpel excepts. The way to compare is first initiate a process by posting an html message, using the initiate tab for your process in the BPEL console. Check the box "Save as default input" before you send the html request.
    Then again do an initiate from the BPEL console and select "XML Source" instead of "HTML Form". You will see the xml message you just have sent as html.
    You might also want to test your java program with one of the many free soap clients available on the internet.

    I used Apache XMLBeans to bind the WSLA types to Java types creating a WSLA.jar that I import in the following client I have developed:
    import com.ibm.research.wsla.*;
    import java.io.File;
    import java.net.URL;
    import javax.xml.soap.*;
    import org.w3c.dom.Document;
    import org.w3c.dom.Node;
    public class SOAPClient {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    SOAPConnectionFactory fact;
    try {
    fact = SOAPConnectionFactory.newInstance();
    SOAPConnection con = fact.createConnection();
    MessageFactory mfact = MessageFactory.newInstance();
    SOAPMessage smsg = mfact.createMessage();
    SOAPPart prt = smsg.getSOAPPart();
    SOAPEnvelope env = prt.getEnvelope();
    SOAPBody bdy = env.getBody();
    File xmlfile = new File("C:\\prova.xml");
    SLADocument sladoc = SLADocument.Factory.parse(xmlfile);
    Node nd = sladoc.getDomNode();
    bdy.addDocument((Document) nd);
    System.out.println("SOAP Message:");
    smsg.writeTo(System.out);
    System.out.println();
    System.out.println();
    //Set the WebService end point URL
    URL endpoint = new URL("http://dana:8888/orabpel/default/ProvaBPEL/1.0");
    //Send the message
    SOAPMessage response;
    response = con.call(smsg, endpoint);
    System.out.println("Received SOAP Message:");
    response.writeTo(System.out);
    System.out.println();
    //Close the connection
    con.close();
    catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    The client simply parses an XML file and uses it as bosy of the SOAP message.
    JDeveloper compiles it without errors but when I run the project (second problem) I get the following as SOAP response:
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><env:Header/><env:Body><env:Fault xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><faultcode>env:Server</faultcode><faultstring>java.lang.NullPointerException</faultstring><faultactor></faultactor></env:Fault></env:Body></env:Envelope>
    and I can't see any instance of the BPEL Process in the BPEL Console. I'm quite sure the SOAP message is well formed because I can see it in the Running output. I also tried with simpler BPEL process for which I can see the HTML form in the BPEL Console and copying and pasting the SOAP message generated with my client in the Origine XML form the Process was invoked correctly.
    Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance.

    Great! Thank you for the reply! Now I manage to invocate the BPEL process. I put the line:
    smsg.getMimeHeaders().addHeader("SOAPAction", "process");
    and now my day is a good day!
    However I tried to place the import of the WSLA093.xsd schema outside the types element with:
    <import namespace="http://www.research.ibm.com/wsla" location="WSLA093.xsd" />
    but it didn't work. Now the wsdl file of the BPEL Process is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <definitions name="ProvaBPEL"
    targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/ProvaBPEL"
    xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
    xmlns:client="http://xmlns.oracle.com/ProvaBPEL"
    xmlns:ns1="http://www.research.ibm.com/wsla"
    xmlns:plnk="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/05/partner-link/">
    <import namespace="http://www.research.ibm.com/wsla" location="WSLA093.xsd" />
    <types>
              <schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <import namespace="http://www.research.ibm.com/wsla" schemaLocation="WSLA093.xsd" />
              </schema>
         </types>
         <message name="ProvaBPELRequestMessage">
              <part name="payload" element="ns1:SLA" />
         </message>
         <message name="ProvaBPELResponseMessage">
              <part name="payload" element="ns1:SLA" />
         </message>
         <!-- portType implemented by the ProvaBPEL BPEL process -->
         <portType name="ProvaBPEL">
              <operation name="process">
                   <input message="client:ProvaBPELRequestMessage" />
                   <output message="client:ProvaBPELResponseMessage"/>
              </operation>
         </portType>
         <plnk:partnerLinkType name="ProvaBPEL">
              <plnk:role name="ProvaBPELProvider">
                   <plnk:portType name="client:ProvaBPEL"/>
              </plnk:role>
         </plnk:partnerLinkType>
    </definitions>
    Please tell me if it is correct. I also tried to delete the line:
    <import namespace="http://www.research.ibm.com/wsla" schemaLocation="WSLA093.xsd" />
    from the types element (even if I don't know if it is correct) but I always have the same error in the BPEL endpoint page:
    Cannot test this Operation using the Test Page because Could not understand type: {http://www.research.ibm.com/wsla}StringList
    Thank you very muche for the help.

    I am getting following error while compiling my BPEL process:

    Surprisingly, this same code was compiling file last week and now I have no clue why I am getting this error. Can someone please shade some light on this issue?
    Thanks,
    Sachin.

    Hello
    I have had the same problem in Oracle BPM and solved it using the following steps:
    1- In your application navigator window, expand the project that contains the business rule.
    2- In the SOA Content, double click on your wsdl file.
    3- When the file opens, select the schema view from the bottom of the page.
    4- In the schema view, expand all the schema nodes and check if you see any values in red. If you see one, that value has probably caused the error and you should correct it using the property inspector window.
    In my case, the schema location value was set to a wrong path, so I changed it and the error resolved.
    Also, some error that appear as warning in the rule editor will show as compile error later, such as input types not being used and such, so those must be resolved before compiling.
    Hope that was helpful
    good luck

  • EDIFACT D98A Inbound Message Processing Error

    Hi
    I have been setting up an EDI B2B G/W using 11g B2B PS3 (Host & Partner). I have created the ECS, XSD and XML files using the B2B Document Editor and have completed the partner setup for D98A Purchase Order.
    I had the issues when I posted the PO where the Host is unable to pick up the agreements and I was getting B2B-51507 Payload Validation Error and the message was failling at the B2B Host.
    Later I changed the payload in-line with the below thread and removed the Internal Properties
    https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=11039032#11039032
    upon which the messages was sent to RemoteTP but failed with B2B-50037: B2B inbound message processing error
    When I analyzed further I could see the InternalPropertes sent by the Host to the RemoteTP are with empty values.
    I would like to understand the point of removing the InternalProperties and why B2B Host is not sending it in the right format to the other B2B.
    I am pasting the file that is been received at the RemoteTP which failed with B2B-50037: B2B inbound message processing error
