BPEL to OSB invocation using direct bindings

Hi,
Can we communicate from BPEL to OSB using direct bindings ?
As per my understand in the document i have read it is given that from OSB to BPEL it can be communicated using SOA DIRECT protocol
is my understand correct ?
And can we achieve the same from BPEL to OSB call ?
How can we achieve this ?
regards
Shankari

In soa 11g,both ways are possible using direct binding:
follow below blogs for both ways(soa to osb and osb to soa)

  • SaxParser error while using WSIF bindings in BPEL

    Hi All,
    I am using WSIF bindings in BPEL to invoke a java class.
    This java classs is using Jersey Client. For this I have imported relevant jersey jar files version 1.1.4.1.
    My java class is getting invoked and even the jersey client jars are also recognized by my project.
    But I am getiing the following SAX parser error:
    *Operation failed!; nested exception is: javax.ws.rs.WebApplicationException: javax.xml.bind.JAXBException: Error creating SAXSource - with linked exception: [org.xml.sax.SAXNotSupportedException: SAX feature 'http://xml.org/sax/features/external-general-entities' not supported.]*
    I found the following details when checked the logs.
    JAXP feature XMLConstants.FEATURE_SECURE_PROCESSING cannot be set on a SAXParserFactory. External general entity processing is disbaled but other potential securty related features will not be enabled.
    Please let me know what should be done in order to solve this issue.
    Thanks in advance!!!

    I am having the same problem in a non-BPEL application. I am using Oracle MDS in an application that is also using Jersey 1.1.4.1 and it blows up Jersey 1.1.4.1 in the same way.
    Oracle MDS has a dependency on Oracle XDK, an XML parser (xmlparserv2.jar). xmlparserv2.jar registers Oracle's oracle.xml.jaxp.JXSAXParserFactory using the Java ServiceLoader API (by using the file META-INF/javax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory.
    Jersey doesn't like Oracle's JXSAXParserFactory, as you can see. From what I've found so far, it seems that the Oracle SAXParserFactory is clamped down for security and Jersey will not work with it. Here is a more complete stack trace that I have:
    [org.xml.sax.SAXNotSupportedException: SAX feature 'http://xml.org/sax/features/external-general-entities' not supported.]
    at com.sun.jersey.core.provider.jaxb.AbstractJAXBProvider.getSAXSource(AbstractJAXBProvider.java:178)
    at com.sun.jersey.core.impl.provider.entity.XMLRootElementProvider.readFrom(XMLRootElementProvider.java:110)
    at com.sun.jersey.core.provider.jaxb.AbstractRootElementProvider.readFrom(AbstractRootElementProvider.java:105)
    Caused by: org.xml.sax.SAXNotSupportedException: SAX feature 'http://xml.org/sax/features/external-general-entities' not supported.
    at oracle.xml.parser.v2.NonValidatingParser.setFeature(NonValidatingParser.java:1974)
    at oracle.xml.parser.v2.SAXParser.setFeature(SAXParser.java:270)
    at oracle.xml.jaxp.JXSAXParserFactory.newSAXParser(JXSAXParserFactory.java:92)
    at com.sun.jersey.core.provider.jaxb.AbstractJAXBProvider.getSAXSource(AbstractJAXBProvider.java:174)
    In my case, Jersey seems to ignore the system property that I set with -Djavax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory=com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl
    I am trying to figure out a way to satisfy the dependency that my app has on Oracle's XDK (xmlparserv2.jar) without having its SAXParserFactory take over Jersey.
    I'll try to post here if I ever solve my problem because it sounds the same as yours.

    Thank you.
    And another question if the data is already there in the child table if i try to load alone it must delete the old data in the child tablee and need to get load the new data and
    How to do this ?
    Arunraj Kumar
    You can do that with an IF EXISTS condition
    IF EXISTS (SELECT 1
    FROM YourChildTable c
    INNER JOIn @temptable t
    ON c.Bkey1 = t.Bkey1
    AND c.Bkey2 = t.Bkey2
    DELETE t
    FROM YourChildTable c
    INNER JOIn @temptable t
    ON c.Bkey1 = t.Bkey1
    AND c.Bkey2 = t.Bkey2
    INSERT INTO YourChildTable
    where Bkey1,Bkey2 etc forms the business key of the table

  • C# compiling error: 'System.Array' does not contain a definition for 'Select' and no extension method 'Select' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Array' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

    Hello experts,
    I'm totally new to C#. I'm trying to modify existing code to automatically rename a file if exists. I found a solution online as follows:
    string[] allFiles = Directory.GetFiles(folderPath).Select(filename => Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(filename)).ToArray();
            string tempFileName = fileName;
            int count = 1;
            while (allFiles.Contains(tempFileName ))
                tempFileName = String.Format("{0} ({1})", fileName, count++);
            output = Path.Combine(folderPath, tempFileName );
            string fullPath=output + ".xml";
    However, it gives the following compilation errors
    for the Select and Contain methods respectively.:
    'System.Array' does not contain a definition for 'Select' and no extension method 'Select' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Array' could be found
    (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
    'System.Array' does not contain a definition for 'Contains' and no extension method 'Contains' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Array' could be
    found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
    I googled on these errors, and people suggested to add using System.Linq;
    I did, but the errors persist.
    Any help and information is greatly appreciated.
    P. S. Here are the using clauses I have:
    using System;
    using System.Data;
    using System.Windows.Forms;
    using System.IO;
    using System.Collections.Generic;
    using System.Text;
    using System.Linq;

    Besides your issue with System.Core, you also have a problem with the logic of our code, particularly your variables. It is confusing what your variables represent. You have an infinite loop, so the last section of code is never reached. Take a look
    using System;
    using System.Collections.Generic;
    using System.Linq;
    using System.Text;
    using System.Threading.Tasks;
    using System.IO;
    namespace consAppFileManipulation
    class Program
    static void Main(string[] args)
    string fullPath = @"c:\temp\trace.log";
    string folderPath = @"c:\temp\";
    string fileName = "trace.log";
    string output = "";
    string fileNameOnly = Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(fullPath);
    string extension = Path.GetExtension(fullPath);
    string path = Path.GetDirectoryName(fullPath);
    string newFullPath = fullPath;
    string[] allFiles = Directory.GetFiles(folderPath).Select(filename => Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(filename)).ToArray();
    string tempFileName = fileName;
    int count = 1;
    //THIS IS AN INFINITE LOOP
    while (allFiles.Contains(fileNameOnly))
    tempFileName = String.Format("{0} ({1})", fileName, count++);
    //THIS CODE IS NEVER REACHED
    output = Path.Combine(folderPath, tempFileName);
    fullPath = output + ".xml";
    //string fullPath = output + ".xml";

  • Query on using attribute bindings in popup

    Hi,
    Am using Jdev 11g. Data controls are created using plain java objects.
    Use case is as follows:
    I have a tree table which displays records (Say employee records).
    Now i select a row in tree table and click "Edit" button. The details for the selected employee should be displayed in pop up window.
    Approach followed by me:
    1. Created a tree table using declarative bindings.
    2. On click of Edit, i invoke pop up using "Show Popup Behavior" operation.
    3. The pop up component consists of form layout with Employee attributes. (Basically Employee object returned by method getEmployeeById(int empId) is mapped to UI components)
    Am setting parameter empId for method getEmployeeById as follows in Edit action binding dialog: ${bindings.<Tree Iterator name>.currentRow.dataProvider.empId}
    Can anyone suggest as to what is incorrect over here/better way of implementing this? I am avoiding the approach where in the methods are invoked explicitly in managed bean.
    Regards
    Navin

    Hi,
    I was able to get the selected row value for paramter binding using following expression.
    ${bindings.<Tree Iterator name>.currentRow.dataProvider.empId}
    But now i see that, in case i select a record at level 1 in tree, the above expression returns the selected PARENT record information.
    Ex:
    Emp1
    ------Emp1-C1
    ------Emp1-C2
    Emp2
    Emp3
    Above expression works fine when i select either Emp1, Emp2 or Emp3. But when i select Emp1-C1 or Emp1-C1, expression returns Emp1.
    Any suggestions ?
    Thanks
    Navin

  • OSB Authentication using username and password (plaintext or digest)

    Hi,
    I want to implement a simple osb authentication using username/password (plain text or digest) , so that client required to provide username password token in soap header (message Level security) to access our webservices. I have read some of articles which shows how to create custom ws policy, but received following error during deployment.
    weblogic.wsee.ws.init.WsDeploymentException: The WebLogic Server 9.x-style policy is not supported in JAX-WS web services
    Please note - I can not install OWSM as part of my requirement
    =======
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!-- WS-SecurityPolicy -->
    <wsp:Policy xmlns:wsp="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/09/policy"
    xmlns:wssp="http://www.bea.com/wls90/security/policy"
    xmlns:wsu="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd"
    xmlns:wsse="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd"
    xmlns:wls="http://www.bea.com/wls90/security/policy/wsee#part">
    <!-- Identity Assertion -->
    <wssp:Identity>
    <wssp:SupportedTokens>
    <!-- Use UsernameToken for authentication -->
    <wssp:SecurityToken IncludeInMessage="true"
    TokenType="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-username-token-profile-1.0#UsernameToken">
    <wssp:UsePassword Type="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-username-token-profile-1.0#PasswordDigest"/>
    </wssp:SecurityToken>
    </wssp:SupportedTokens>
    </wssp:Identity>
    </wsp:Policy>

    You can use the default Auth.xml WS policy in OSB and be able implement the authentication using username and plain text password.
    Just assign the Auth.xml on the Request Policies of the Proxy Service (under Policies).
    Then use any user credentials that has access to the domain for testing.
    If you want to restrict access for each operation then in the Security tab, under Message Access Control, specify a Role.
    Then in the OSB > Security Configuration, create the appropriate role with the specific role conditions like User is User1 or User is User2 etc ...
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Patrick

  • Filter on the reports created using DIRECT DATABASE ACCESS in obiee 10g

    How do i filter on the report that is created by using DIRECT DATABASE ACCESS in obiee 10g?
    I have reprot A with link to report B, report B is created using DIRECT DATABASE ACCESS. so it is just a table, but i need to filter out 2 columns.
    here is the query in REPORT B:
    select strm, acad_group, crse_id, class_section, count(emplid) from v_crse_enrl
    group by crse_id, strm, class_section, acad_group;
    the link in REPORT A:
    '<a target="_blank" href="'||VALUEOF("bi_link")||'Go&Path=CF_CROSS_TEACHING_LIST&ACTION=Navigate&col1=STRM&val1='||view1_DIMEN.STRM||'&col2=CLASS_SECTION&val2='||TRIM(view1_DIMEN.CLASS_SECTION)||'">' ||view1_dimen.class_id||'</a>'
    from this link to report B.
    thank you!!

    I didnt tested using url, but the same works with using presentation variables.
    To your direct sql add where clause for those two columns like WHERE col='@{col1}' and col ='@{col2}'
    and try to run from url.

  • Best practice to monitor 10gR3 OSB performance using JMX API?

    Hi guys,
    I need some advice on the best practice to monitor 10gR3 OSB performance using JMX API.
    Jus to show I have done my home work, I managed to get the JMX sample code from
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/jmx_monitoring/example.html#wp1109828
    working.
    The following is the list of options I am think about:
    * Set up: I have a cluster of one 1 admin server with 2 managed servers, which managed server runs an instance of OSB
    * What I try to achieve:
    - use JMX API to collect OSB stats data periodically as in sample code above then save data as a record to a
         database table
    Options/ideas:
    1. Simplest approach: Run the modified version of JMX sample on the Admin Server to save stats data to database
    regularly. I can't see problems with this one ...
    2. Use WLI to schedule the Task of collecting stats data regularly. May be overkill if option 1 above is good for production
    3. Deploy a simple web app on Admin Server, say a simple servlet that displays a simple page to start/stop and configure
    data collection interval for the timer
    What approach would you experts recommend?
    BTW, the caveats os using JMX in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/jmx_monitoring/concepts.html#wp1095673
    says
         Oracle strongly discourages using this API in a concurrent manner with more than one thread or process. This is because a reset performed in
         one thread or process is not visible to another threads or processes. This caveat also applies to resets performed from the Monitoring Dashboard of
         the Oracle Service Bus Console, as such resets are not visible to this API.
    Under what scenario would I be breaking this rule? I am a little worried about its statement
         discourages using this API in a concurrent manner with more than one thread or process
    Thanks in advance,
    Sam

    Hi Manoj,
    Thanks for getting back. I am afraid configuring aggregation interval from Dashboard doesn't solve problem as I need to collect stats data of endpoint URI or in hourly or daily basis, then output to CSV files so line graphs can be drawn for chosen applications.
    Just for those who may be interested. It's not possible to use SQL to query database tables to extract OSB stats for a specified time period, say 9am - 5pm. I raised a support case already and the response I got back is 'No'.
    That means using JMX API will be the way to go :)
    Has anyone actually done this kind of OSB stats report and care to give some pointers?
    I am thinking of using 7 or 1 days as the aggregation interval set in Dashboard of OSB admin console then collects stats data using JMX(as described in previous link) hourly using WebLogic Server JMX Timer Service as described in
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/jmxinst/timer.html instead of Java's Timer class.
    Not sure if this is the best practice.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Sam

  • The type or namespace name 'SPSite' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)_

    I am creating a Winforms application. I need to upload and download a file from Sharepoint.
     I have added reference to Microsoft.Sharepoint.Client.
    Below is the code to upload file:
    using System.IO;
    using Microsoft.SharePoint;
    private void Button_Click_1(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
                String fileToUpload = @"C:\Test.txt";
                String sharePointSite = "https://myshapoint";
                String documentLibraryName = "Test";
                using (SPSite oSite = new SPSite(sharePointSite))
                    using (SPWeb oWeb = oSite.OpenWeb())
                        if (!System.IO.File.Exists(fileToUpload))
                            throw new FileNotFoundException("File not found.", fileToUpload);
                        SPFolder myLibrary = oWeb.Folders[documentLibraryName];
                        // Prepare to upload
                        Boolean replaceExistingFiles = true;
                        String fileName = System.IO.Path.GetFileName(fileToUpload);
                        FileStream fileStream = File.OpenRead(fileToUpload);
                        // Upload document
                        SPFile spfile = myLibrary.Files.Add(fileName, fileStream, replaceExistingFiles);
                        // Commit
                        myLibrary.Update();
    But i get the error "The type or namespace name 'SPSite' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)"
    I am not sure what else I am supposed to do here.

    Hi,
    If you want to develop a WinForm application to be only used in SharePoint Server, we can use Server-Side Object Model(use Microsoft.Sharepoint.dll) to achieve it.
    If you want to use the WinForm application to be used both in Server side and Client Side, I suggest you use .Net Client Object Model(use Microsoft.Sharepoint.Client.dll) to achieve it.

    Any help is greatly appreciated. Please provide some detail as I am novice.
    Thanks

    Ok so I got the past that problem. I had to add the package System.Data.SQLite Core in Manage NuGet.
    Then I changed the auto-generated code "using SQLite" to "using System.Data.SQLite".
    But now I have a new problem, it says "System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteConnection' does not contain a definition for 'CreateTable' "
    Here is the code
    //This code was generated by a tool.
    //Changes to this file will be lost if the code is regenerated.
    //using SQLite;
    using System;
    using System.Data.SQLite;
    using System.Data.SQLite.EF6;
    namespace WindowsFormsApplication2
    public class SQLiteDb
    string _path;
    public SQLiteDb(string path)
    _path = path;
    public void Create()
    using (SQLiteConnection db = new SQLiteConnection(_path))
    db.CreateTable<servers>();
    public partial class servers
    public Int64 server_name { get; set; }
    public Double cpu_usage { get; set; }
    Any ideas why CreateTable is not available?

  • Upload images or use direct link to theme directory ?

    Hello,
    I work with APEX 3.2 and Oracle 10g r2, on Windows XP.
    I use my own CSS file, uploaded using Shared Components > Cascading Style Sheets > Create+, I added the link in the header section of the desired templates.
    I want to define an image as "background-image" in my CSS file, but my images were uploaded using Shared Components > Images > Create+, so I have to use #WORKSPACE_IMAGES# but it's impossible in the CSS file !
    Do i have to modify the template directly like that :
    *<div style="background-image:url(#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#header.png)\></div\>*
    or should I use direct links to my theme directory in my CSS file like that :
    *#headerstyle{background-image:url(header.png)}*
    For the moment I use the first solution, both work but I want to know which one is better, for me it would be better to have a separate file with all the CSS, whithout any CSS in the code. Nevertheless I think it's better to upload images instead of store them in the theme directory, no ?
    Thanks.
    Yann.

    Hope it will be fixed in next versions ![It seems unlikely|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=3932244]
    If you are making extensive use of CSS, creating custom themes etc and you have access to the web server file system then the best approach is to move all CSS and images there (but using a different directory structure from that supplied by APEX).
    If just making minor customisations, or you are restricted to workspace repository storage, then CSS rules referencing #WORKSPACE_IMAGES# or #APP_IMAGES# need to go into the page HTML Header or page template.

  • I accessed the page protected by ADF security using direct url access attac

    hi,
    I played with my application which is based on SRDemo code (with added ADF security handling protection of resources) using direct url access scenarios. I was able to access a protected page as authenticated but not authorized user. I'll try to explain what I did.
    There are two folders/web resources in my application, faces/folderA/* and faces/folderB/*.
    roleA only is configured to access first web resource and the roleB is configured to access the second resource.
    I used ADF security to authorize only roleA for page in folderA and to authorize only roleB for page in folderB.
    I configured error pages in web.xml:
    <error-page>
    <error-code>400</error-code>
    <location>faces/error/error400.jspx</location>
    </error-page>
    <error-page>
    <error-code>401</error-code>
    <location>faces/error/error401.jspx</location>
    </error-page>
    <error-page>
    <error-code>403</error-code>
    <location>faces/error/error403.jspx</location>
    </error-page>
    <error-page>
    <error-code>404</error-code>
    <location>faces/error/error404.jspx</location>
    </error-page>
    <error-page>
    <exception-type>java.lang.Throwable</exception-type>
    <location>faces/error/error500.jspx</location>
    </error-page>
    Other config params are:
    <login-config>
    <auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
    <form-login-config>
    <form-login-page>infrastructure/ABLogin.jspx</form-login-page>

    Once I authenticated as user in roleA I was trying to directly access URLs accessible only by users in roleB. In the beginning everything worked OK: I was dispatched to error401.jspx page with message Not authorized... etc.
    But I kept trying to access different URLs, like http://localhost:8988/AB/faces, http://localhost:8988/AB/faces/folderB, http://localhost:8988/AB/faces/folderB/pageB.jspx, http://localhost:8988/AB
    (not necessarily in that order, I played for a couple of minutes and the system would always dispatch to error401.jspx page if unauthorized attempt. But all of sudden, to my surprise, I got the pageB.jspx page while logged in as user belonging to roleA!)
    Not sure how that happened but the connectedUser on pageB (#{userInfo.authenticated}) shows that I am logged in as user whose role is A.
    I checked Authorization in ADF security and it is still correct: pageB is only accessible to roleB and pageA is only accessible to roleA.
    I hope I made some stupid mistake in my configuration?

    Hi,
    ADF Security is JAAS permission based and not container managed. Note that unless you explicitly configured ADF Security you don't use ADF Security but container managed security, which is all that I can see in your configurations.
    Not sure which version fo JDeveloper you use, but if you could change the following setting
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>AZone</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>faces/folderA/*</url-pattern>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <role-name>A</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>BZone</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>faces/folderB/*</url-pattern>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <role-name>B</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    to contain jspx file references instead of wildcards like in faces/folderB/* then what you see should no longer be possible. There was a known issue with the security settings in SRDemo that was caused by a defect in OC4J container managed security. I would expect this issue to be fixed in a more recent version of OC4J.
    However, the work around until then is to protect all JSPX files in a directory instead of using wild card matches

  • Why parallel query use direct path read ??

    I think because access buffer cache needs latch and buffer block lock,if parallel query don't use direct path read ,parallel query will be impacted by Serialization mechanism such as latch and lock .so oracle choose direct path read to avoid it .
    anybody have a good idea ??

    basically, yes I think that's it. The purpose of parallel query is to scan a very large segment, because the overhead of communication between the processes and maintaining/starting up the parallel slave renders the operation inefficient for small segments.
    Therefore I guess the assumption is that the segment to scan is probably very large, the fraction of the blocks in the buffer cache would be only very small in comparison to the blocks to scan, and therefore the reduced overhead of directly reading the blocks bypassing all the serialization issues of the buffer cache should outweigh the "un-buffered" blocks issue and save the buffer cache for objects that benefit more from being cached.

    Hello,
    >>using IBM.WMQ
    It seems you are using third party dll namespace reference in your project but that dll is not being added in project. Please get the IBM.WMQ dll and add it first in your current visual studio project by right click on project-->add reference.
    You can place this dll in GAC or can directly add to project as suggested by jaydeep.
    Hope it could help

    When I validate a web page in dreamweaver CS5 (using Jeffrey Zeldman's Web Standards Advisor ) I receive the following warning; Using Direct Input mode: UTF-8 character encoding assumed.

    Hi John
    Thank you for your swift response,
    As I said before this only happens locally within Dreamweaver CS5.

    As you will see from the code I have included <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> within the head
