Bpm - input from another scenario

hi,
can i get the input for my bpm from another scenario.
I have already done a scenario which converts edi to edi-xml using java mapping.
I would like to give that edi-xml file as input to another scenario which converts this edi-xml into an idoc so that i can post it in R/3.
If there is anyother way to do it also suggestions are accepted.....
but NO purchasing any product lik seeburger adapter..........

How to carry out an action on a task in a bpm process from another adf app?

Hi everyone,
We have a simple BPM process with only one human task with two actions: approve and reject.
We want to know if it is possible to approve or reject this task from another adf application; I mean by clicking a button on a different page - not using the Actions menu in workspace, can I change the status of the task to approved or rejected and remove the task from the workspace of the assignee?

I think you can use ItemAdding event to update your fields. This works better for you instead of ItemAdded event.

Problem in popultating combobox based on input from another combobox

i have there combo boxes when i select the first combobox ,based on the input given it must populate the second and based on the input in second combo box it must populate the third one.1->2->3.
Actually i am having a javascript when i select the data in first combo box the information is sent to specified jsp page with parameter using onchange function and the second combo box is poplated based on the first but the third combo box in not populating based on the second.

What about this:
Create a multicube with 0PA_C01 and 0PE_C01 and then you create one key figure with the total of employes (that comes from 0PA_C01) and another key figure with the total number of employes that had training (that comes from 0PE_C01) and finally you create a calculated key figure at query level that subtracts the first key figure by the second, i.e., the total number of employees - the employees that had training.

Is it possible to capture commands entered on a router by another user? What device can I use to monitor my routers everyday and check the logs to see what changes have been made?

Calling BPM Sub Process from another BPM Process - Stuck at Sub Process

JDeveloper 11.1.1.6, BPM 11.1.1.6, WLS 10.3.6
I am trying to Call a BPM Process from another BPM Process. Both the processes are defined in the same BPM Project.
Both the Processes have 'None' Start and End activities.
The 'Parent Process' has a 'Call Activity' which calls the 'Sub Process'.
The Sub process takes a parameter of payload object as input and returns output (also same payload object)
I have passed the payload object from parent to sub process in the 'Data Associations'.
The Start and End activities in the sub process also have the data associations set where I am passing the payload object from parent process to child process.
When I run the process and see the Enterprise Manager console - Audit Trail / Flow tabs,
Flow Tab - The progress of the process is showing only till the Calling of the sub process in the Parent Process. It does not show the Sub Process.
Audit Trail Tab - Shows that the Sub Process is called but has not reached to the End of the Sub process.
The audit trail does not have links to the sub process activities.
I cannot see any exceptions as well in the audit trail.
How can I find out why the process is stuck? Or what is going on in the process?
Please let me know if my explanation is not clear?

I have another Sub Process with Start and End events as Message Events and used Send Task and Receive Task (Implementation : Process Call) in the Main process to invoke the sub process asynchronously.
Then, the Sub Process is shown in the 'Flow Trace' as child of the main process.
In this particular one, I used 'Call Activity' to call the sub process.
So the Audit trail is showing the sub process as a child.
But what I was trying to say is that the audit trail did not have links to the entries in the 'Event' column (in Enterprice manager - instance window). (like Instance entered activity, Instance left activity etc).
I was intending to use these links to see the payload information and try to debug if there is any problem with the code.
The actual problem I was trying to say in the post is that, even after the user responds to the activity (User Task - Approval) in the Sub process,
the audit trail is not proceeding further.
In the Sub process definition, after the user task, there is End with none implementation.

Invoking scenario inside another scenario.

I am invoking one scenario from another scenario by using ODISstartScen ODI utility.
we are using same agent for both scenarios.
After executing first scenario,when it goes to run second scenario ,ODI raise the error like internal server error.
But if we provide agent name,user name,password in ODIStartScen utility(i.e used in first scenario to invoke another scenario).then it works fine
but it is not recommendable approach because we are doing hard coding of agent name,user name and password.
Can we execute these scenarios without passing this information in ODIStartScen utility?

You can get the name of the agent and the user name via genric calls through odi api methods which will remove the requirement for hard coding these. Not sure about password though

does anyone know of an easy way (or just a way) to use the sound input from another networked computer to mine into garageband?

it doesn't seem to work like that (no unnecessary D-A-D conversion), as shown on page 6 of the documentation.
More information here, but I must admit that I'm no audio engineer so I don't fully understand how it works!
That said I don't remember having noticeable loss of quality in my audio streams when I tried it.

I'm developing HFM Rules for a company that needs to transfer data from one scenario to another. This is so that they can perform What-if analysis on the other scenario. I can transfer the data correctly using the following code:

If I extend this code to check *HS.Value.Member = "[None]"* and run a calculate on the *[None]* Value Layer, this also copies ownership methods and percentages for the relevant entity. Unfortunately, going to each parent entity and running a calculate for each month is not going to be practical since there are more than 500 entities in this group.
What I want to do is to actually copy ownership methods and percentages automatically if I run a consol. Is there a way to do either of the following:
1. Set a value for a POV that is in a different value layer?
2. Trigger a calculate for a different value layer in the rules?

You can deploy the ADF Project as an ADF Library Jar file and reuse the taskflow from that jar file in another BPM Application.

Calling one BPM from another BPM.

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to call an existing(working!) BPM from another BPM. Its a synchronus call. However in moni I see it as errored out on the outbound side. The error in the PE is:
<b>CL_SWF_XI_MSG_BROKER method SEND_SYNCHRON cannot be executed.</b>
I checked the following thread(<i>Re: Object CL_SWF_XI_MSG_BROKER method SEND_SYNCHRON cannot be executed), but those notes are already applied. Any idea, what could be the problem?

I have a doubt regarding transformations. In some of my transformations, I'm adding/stripping soap envelopes using XSL. For these messages, I'm only concerned about my target structure. Since there is not graphical mapping, I've assigned the same(target) structure to the source. The source message, I was assuming will not be validated(against the source structure) and thus will not throw an error. Could this be the problem, if so, what is the solution?

I have one scenario I need all inputs from u all.
My scenario is like this.
I will get data from online transactions I need to collect all the day transaction into one folder and upload them into SAP system at one particular time.
Which are the best adapters for this scenario.
If I have standard IDOC I will go with IDOC adapter at receiver side if not proxy.
But collecting all the data into one folder and schedule the process at particular time.
How to do this and what are the adapter I can use.

I hope for online transactions and for tracking it and saving you can write a java script where you can prepare a XML file to get all transactions for particular order and always append it to the end of that xml file. At end of the day you will have a complete transaction list in the XML you are creating. You can use the file name as you desired but i will prefer datewise name.after the completion of that Transaction recording step, put it in some In folder from where your XI system willo take input.
Now this is file to Idoc scenario or whatever you want to use to post data to SAP Systems. The sechdule this scenario to run in the night or your desired time. After processing the XML file put that file\ to some other complete folder , not to get it again.
For collection of transactions you can also use databases. Then you scenario will be JDBC to IDOC or the thing you want to post data in SAP system.

Find value from another workbook and input cell value

I'm trying to add the cost of products from one workbook to match with another. Both 'Product' numbers are in both workbooks. I would like to match those product numbers and insert the cost from one workbook to the other. Can anyone help? I've searched and haven't been able to figure this out. Here are some images:

let's get the terminology consistent:
a file contains a document and is stored on your hard drive. You open a file which, when open, presents a document window.
a document contains sheets.
a sheet contains tables, text, media
a table contains cells
a cell contains text, dates, durations, numbers
I cannot tell whether the screenshots you provided are from the same document (file) or not. If they are from different documents then you cannot make references between them. If they are in the same document then you can refer to on sheet from another by using the following...
To refer to a cell in a different sheet and/or table use the format:
<SHEET NAME>::<TABLE NAME>::<CELL RANGE>
for example:
If you have two sheets, each with two tables:
Sheet 1:
- Table 1
- Table 2
Sheet 2:
- Table 1
- Table 2
then you can put a formula in Sheet 1 Table 1 cell A1 like this to get the value from Sheet 2 Table 2 cell A1
Sheet 1 Table 1:
A1=Sheet 2::Table 1::A1
I will try to provide a specific formula for you with the following assumption... THE TWO TABLES ARE IN THE SAME DOCUMENT:
For the table show in the top picture (sheet name "Sales by Class Detail", not sure what the table name is and not sure what cell this is. In the image you posted it is the cell with the triangle in it in column J):
=vlookup(G, Product Service List::<Table Name>::B:E, 3,0)
you will need to fill in the <Table Name>
you can fill this formula down by selecting the cell you just entered the formula in, then hover the cursor over the bottom edge and drag the yelllow fill handle down as needed

Creating Variable with Replacement Path to get value from ANOTHER Variable

Hi all,
    Is anyone has created the Variable with Replacement Path to get the value from another User Entry Variable, PLEASE ?
First created the User Entry Variable (ZV_X) and it accepts the date range like '01/01/2009 - 01/31/2009'. Next created the Characteristic variable (ZV_Y) of Replacement Path for which source variable will be ZV_X and we should get the 'FROM Date' (01/01/2009) from the selection (ZV_X) into it (ZV_Y).
While creating the Characteristic variable (ZV_Y) of Replacement Path, I didn't find my newly created ZV_X variable in the list of available variables under 'Variable' header in 'Replacement Path' tab and it is causing the error 'Source to replace variable ZV_Y is not defined'. How could I create the Characteristic variable of Replacement Path for my requirement, PLEASE ?

Replace with Characteristic Value
Text and formula variables with the processing type Replacement Path can be replaced with a corresponding characteristic value. In the variable editor, on the General tab page, you specify under Reference Characteristic the characteristic that is to be referenced by the replacement. On the Replacement Path tab page, you can choose whether the variable is replaced with the From or the To Value and with the Key or the Name of the characteristic value. You can also specify the Offset Start and Offset Length for the output.
Replace with Variable
Characteristic value variables, hierarchy variables, text variables, and formula variables with the Replacement Path processing type can take their values from a different variable.
The following prerequisites need to be fulfilled:
Variable
●      The variable must not be input-ready
●      The variable must represent a single value
Source Variable
●      The source variable must not be a hierarchy node variable
●      The source variable must be input-ready
●      The source variable must be available in the query
●      The source variable must represent a single value or an interval
In the variable editor, on the Replacement Path tab page, you specify the source variable from which the value is to be determined. The value is either determined from the key, the external attribute of the key, the description, or the attribute value. You can specify an Offset Start and an Offset Length for the output here. The variable is replaced on the variable screen upon each data release.

Hi Eve,
It is possible to connect the 2 queries using a Replacement Path characteristic variable. You would need to create the variable on the char whose values you want to pass from Q1 to Q2. The variable will be of type replacement path and you will need to enter the name of Q1 from which it will get the values. Make sure that you include this char in the query definition of Q1 and Q2. In Q2 you will restrict the characteristic using this variable. DO not use this variable (replacement path) in Q1.
In your query properties check if you have turned on the checkmark for Release for OLE DB for OLAP (3rd tab). If the check mark is there, then remove it.
We are using the scenario in a couple of places, and it works very well.
