Error While Invoking a Service from another
Hi Guys,
I am a naive user into the world of WS or Oracle BPEL. I have got a problem, with which I am not able to make sense out of it.
I have a Service say 'ABC' which is individually working fine. I have another Service "PQR" and using Oracle JDev I am designing my BPEL flows. I have provided Schema and wsdl of called service 'ABC' to 'PQR'.
However @ runtime,

JDHi Suresh varma
Did you get any answer for your problem?
I'm having the exact same problem. Working with Weblogic 8.1 SP6 and getting this strange message whenever I'm calling my data service.
I've followed the guidlines given on the URL posted here, and still getting the same message.
Let me know if you have any idea.
Cheers

Suresh varma.Hi Suresh varma
Did you get any answer for your problem?
I'm having the exact same problem. Working with Weblogic 8.1 SP6 and getting this strange message whenever I'm calling my data service.
I've followed the guidlines given on the URL posted here, and still getting the same message.
Let me know if you have any idea.

Error while invoking stored procedure from BPEL process
Hi Folks,
I am facing the below mentioned issue while invoking a stored procedure in BPEL process :
I am trying to invoke a stored procedure from a BPEL process. The process runs fine for the first/second time, but gives the below error after that whenever i try to run the process :
file:/oracle/orasoa/bpel/domains/default/tmp/.bpel_ProvisionOrderASAPReqABCSImpl_1.0_50dd1595129e9bbb00560e31e7c18cef.tmp/DB_CALL_GetPendingSubscriptionProc.wsdl [ DB_CALL_GetPendingSubscriptionProc_ptt::DB_CALL_GetPendingSubscriptionProc(InputParameters,OutputParameters) ] - WSIF JCA Execute of operation 'DB_CALL_GetPendingSubscriptionProc' failed due to: Error while trying to prepare and execute an API.
An error occurred while preparing and executing the PROC_GET_PENDING_SUBSCR API. Cause: java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: Connection reset [Caused by: Io exception: Connection reset]
; nested exception is:
ORABPEL-11811
Error while trying to prepare and execute an API.
An error occurred while preparing and executing the PROC_GET_PENDING_SUBSCR API. Cause: java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: Connection reset [Caused by: Io exception: Connection reset]
Check to ensure that the API is defined in the database and that the parameters match the signature of the API. Contact oracle support if error is not fixable.
I am not getting how the BPEL is referring to the DB wsdl from the tmp folder. To resolve this issue, we have to stop the SOA server, delete the tmp files, and restart the server.
Any pointers in this regard will be really helpful.First of all does this scenario occur again.
"Works first/second time. Later gives this error."
After you restart the SOA server are you able to reproduce this scenario?
As already pointed out and from the error message, database connection is reset.
If you find this error again, try this out.
em -> home / oc4j_soa -> Administration -> JDBC Resources
Use the "Test Connection" option for the Connection Pool that you are using for your database JNDI.
It comes back and say "Connection to "XYZCP" established successfully." it is good to use.
Run the BPEL process again and once you find the error, come back and test the connection.
If it comes back with Error, diagnose based on the error message received.
Cheers

Error while invoking ESB process from a BPEL process
Hi all
We have a requirement to call an ESB process from a BPEL process. We are using an adapter wth the ESB's WSDL url. After deploying the BPEL process, the registered ESB is getting called for most values while suddenly some values return the followign error
*"exception on JaxRpc invoke: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: Connection reset"*
The catch here is, if we re-run the process with the same values again, the ESB is called successfully! How is it possible for a process to error out and run normally for the same inputs ?
What could be the possible fix for this? I am thankful for any inputs on this.
VijayHi Vijay,
This is a bug and you can refer the metalink note:
"Applying Patch 7445876 Results in Error "java.lang.NullPointerException". [ID 942575.1]" for reference.
Also you can refer the following link:

Error while invoking Rule dictionary from MDS
Hi,
I have an ADF application, which contains an OBR rule dictionary.
While testing in development environment, this rule file is invoked from the file based MDS repository on local.
To run the application on a standalone weblogic server, the rule dictionary needs to be ported to DB based MDS.
The same is done using DB configuration in adf-config.xml.
But when I try to run the app on a standalone weblogic server, the rule file invocation fails with error message:
Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError, msg=oracle/rules/sdk2/repository/DictionaryFQN
the adf-config.xml looks like follows:
<adf-mds-config xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/mds/config">
<mds-config xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/mds/config">
<persistence-config>
<metadata-namespaces>
<namespace metadata-store-usage="mstore-usage_2"
path="/oracle/rules"/>
</metadata-namespaces>
<metadata-store-usages>
<metadata-store-usage id="mstore-usage_2" deploy-target="true">
<metadata-store class-name="oracle.mds.persistence.stores.db.DBMetadataStore">
<property value="mds-soa" name="repository-name"/>
<property value="jdbc/mds/MDS_LocalTxDataSource"
name="jndi-datasource"/>
<property value="<partition_name>" name="partition-name"/>
</metadata-store>
</metadata-store-usage>
</metadata-store-usages>
</persistence-config>
</mds-config>
</adf-mds-config>
Can someone guide me how to get the application running?
Thanks,

Error while invoking web service from BPEL 11g
Hello All,
I am creating a webservice using java.
I created service using java and deployed it on the SOA server 11g.
I am able to test it from the weblogic console.
When i am trying to invoke it from BPEL, i am getting the remote fault:

Does anyone has any idea, what can be the reason.
Is it realted to some proxy server settings. Where these settings can be made in the weblogic server.
Thanks and Regards,

Error while calling a form from another form's menu item
I created a main form and menu module for this form.
I am calling another form from main form menu item.
i moved both the forms and menu and compiled them.
But, when i run this form i am getting an error saying
FRM 92100: Your connection to the server was interrupted
This may be the result of a network error, or a failure on the server.
You will need to establish your session.
I set the seperateframe = true

But still getting the same error.
Is there any parameter that i am missing.
I will greatly appreciate if anybody can direct me to the solution.

Error while invoking ContactQueryPage method from contact.wsdl
Hi All,
Could any one provide me the java client for OnDemand webservice (contact.wsdl). I want to query ContactQueryPage operation.
I am facing some problem while making a call. I am trying with both Axis call as well as ContactStub. but its not working in either way.
Here is the snnipet I am using to invoke a method using ContactStub
String endpoint = "https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration;"+jessionId;
ContactStub stub = new ContactStub(endpoint);
ContactWS_ContactQueryPage_Output queryOutput = null;
ContactWS_ContactQueryPage_Input queryInput = new ContactWS_ContactQueryPage_Input();
ListOfContact listOfContact = new ListOfContact();
Contact contact = new Contact();
queryInput.setListOfContact(listOfContact);
queryInput.setUseChildAnd("Contact");
queryInput.setPageSize("10");
queryInput.setStartRowNum("1");
queryOutput = stub.ContactQueryPage(queryInput);
When I run the program..I get following exception :
org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: com.ctc.wstx.exc.WstxUnexpectedCharException: Unexpected character '"' (code 34) in DOCTYPE declaration; expected a space between public and system identifiers
Can any one help me out. Its needed urgently.
Thanks & Regards,
SanjayHi !
From what I see, the only problem is the setUseChildAnd function which is waiting for a true or false argument and not a char...
Hope this will help, feel free to ask more !

Error while calling oracle reports from another report
Hello everyone,
I have a problem running oracle reports. In one report I have a button
that calls another report. There is a button for each row of the result
in the first report , and i have used Srw.run_report to call the second
report.
My problem is, when I run the report, at the first time i can push the
button and the second report opens and works correctly. But if i close
the second report and come back to the first one, when i push the
button for a different row ,the second report starts to run but then I
get some oracle errors like table does not exist or... while the first
time the report worked correctly.
It seems that when i close the second report and go back to the first
one, sth happens that changes my session or connection. I don't know
what can be the problem.
By the way, when I log in with the user that owns the tables and has
all the privileges, I don't get this problem. It only occurs when I
use other users ( which have all privileges on all of the tables
needed in the report )
I am using Report Builder 6.0.5 and the DB is Oracle Database 10g.
Can anyone please help me with this problem?
Thanx in Advance.
Maryam.6.0.5 is not certified against 10g database, so I suggest to upgrade to 6.0.8.26 (6i patch 17) first to see if the problem is gone.

Urgent:Error While calling one form from another form
Hi,
i am using a form in which zoom functionality is enabled.From this form if i am clicking view->zoom it should open another form which should accept two parameters from the first form.But whenever i am clicking on zoom its giving the following error.
FRM-47023:No such parameter named G_QUERY_FIND exists in form
XX_EMPLOYEE_CONVERSION(Name of the form which i am calling from first form)
When i am clicking 'ok' then it shows the error
FRM-40105:Unable to resolve reference to item PARAMETER.G_QUERY_FIND
Eventhough i have developed my form using template.fmb which uses the parameter G_QUERY_FIND why this error is coming?
Can anyone suggest a solution for this.
Thanks in advancePARAMETER.G_QUERY_FIND is one of he objects in the APPSTAND.fmb. You will need to Subclass all of the objects in APPSTAND.fmb in your custom form. If you do not have a copy of this file in your FORMS60_PATH, I suggest you put a copy there. If you don't have a FORMS60_PATH specified then I would highly suggest adding this entry to your Forms Home in the Registry. Also, you will want all of the libraries in the AU_TOP/Resources folder as well.
I also suggest looking at the Oracle Applications Developer's Guide (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25284_01/current/acrobat/115devg.pdf) as it outlines all of the required objects you must have in your form and reports.
Hope this helps.

Deserialization Error while invoking web service from JDeveloper 10g
When we tried to invoke a web service from JDeveloper version 10.1.3.4.0.4270, we got deserialization error.Here are the steps that we did to invoke the web service.
1. Using WSDL URL, downloaded WSDL file and associated XSD files into local machine using wsa.jar utility.
2. Using JDeveloper, created web service proxy project by referring the local WSDL file.Proxy got generated successfully.
3. Secured the proxy using "secure proxy" option.
4. Assigned all required values for parameters for web method.
5. When tried to invoke the web service, got deserialization error.

1. If we check the XSD file corresponds to response object, for one of the element, the type is decimal
<xsd:element minOccurs="0" name="ParentValueSetId" nillable="true" type="xsd:decimal"/>
2. In the SOAP response, this element is empty so during deserialization, the numer format exception occurred in LiteralSimpleTypeSerializer class.

Error while invoking web services from Proxy services in OSB
I have a Proxy Service of message type in Oracel Service Bus 10gR3 and it passes the incoming messages from a JMS Queue to Business Service of Web Services type. This Web Service is hosted in Glass Fish v3 and it's binding style is RPC. The JRE used in both the servers are 1.6.0_20. The JMS message is of Text type. The Web Services at the Glass Fish throws MessageCreationException for any content of the JMS message. However, it works fine if Business Service's test client is invoked from the OSB'S Admin Console. However, the same will not work if Proxy Service's test client is called.
The detailed exception stack is given below :

Our application receives data from multiple sources - from mainframe using FTP, JMS Queue and BPM application using Web Services. The data from all these sources are sending to a Web Service running in GlassFish V3. To handle this I have created three Proxy Services and one Business Service on OSB. The Business Service is of type Web Service using the same WSDL from the target Web Service.
The Proxy Services are configured as follows:
Proxy 1 (type - Messaging service) listens to the JMS Queue and receives JMS Text Message -> Business Service(B1) (Web Service).
Proxy 2 (type - Messaging service Polls files from the FTP Server -> Business Service(B1) (Web Service).
Proxy 3 (type - Web service) is invoked by the BPM application and sends a String -> Business Service(B1) (Web Service).
All the Proxies route to the same Business Service - B1 which calls the Web Service in GlassFish. The only Proxy that works fine is Proxy 3 which is created using the same WSDL of the Web Service. In the other two proxies it thows the same exception in GlassFish as I mentioned before.

Is this configuration correct to achieve my requirements?
Once again thanks for the help.

Hi,
I am new to Java Programming. I have written two class files Dummy1 and Dummy2.java in the same package Test.
In Dummy1.java I have declared a static final variable and a static method as you can see it below.
package Test;
import java.io.*;
public class Dummy1
public static final int var1= 10;
public static int varDisp(int var2)
return(var1+var2);
This is program is compiling fine.
I have called the static method varDisp from the class Dummy2 and it is as follows
package Test;
import java.io.*;
public class Dummy2
public int var3=15;
public int test=0;
test+=Dummy1.varDisp(var3);
and when i compile Dummy2.java, there is a compilation error <identifier > expected.
Please help me in this program.public class Dummy2
public int var3=15;
public int test=0;
test+=Dummy1.varDisp(var3);
}test+=Dummy1.varDisplay(var3);
must be in a method, it cannot just be out somewhere in the class!
