BPM: send green status notification?
Dear Expert,
we are using BPM in DSWP to monitor background jobs & interfaces.
the problem with us is the BPM only triggered yellow & red alerts whenever there is problem.
but when the problem is fixed by someone, there isn't way to send a green status alert to user for information.
can this be done?
we need send green status alert to functional or business user, they are not logon to solution manager to monitor the alert, but they request whenever the problem solved by operation team, they should then receive, or being informed by a green alert. How can this be done ?
please advise.
thank you
kelly

So people sending me emails are getting this notification even though I am getting all of their emails.
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

What are the attributes available on Task Status Notification?
Hi,
I need to send the information below when a task is completed or rejected. So I would like to know if they are available. I think so because I've got them from Task Status Notification (OIM standard email definition). If not, what are the attributes available on Task Notification?
<Tasks.Task Name> is <Task Details.Status>.
<Task Details.Status>
<Resource.Resource Name>

Hi,
I have implemented some java code to workaround the problem below... But I don't believe this does'n work in OIM :-):-):-):-) Please, tell me if you are using task status notification in OIM and if your email defintion has the variables below.
Thanks,
Hi,
One of OIM email templates is Task Status Email Notification. I am trying to notify the user (Notification tab) using this template but it didn't work. Even when I set the Object Name and Process Name values for an email definition, it does not work.
How have you implemented task status notification in your workflows? I think if this template exists in OIM, by default, so it is posible to have the information below during notifications.
I think I'll have to call Oracle's Support.

I didn't get any answer until now.. Below it is what I've done.
a) Create an entity adapter that is assigned to the post-update of the Specific Task Info data object.
b) Select the task information searching by SCH_KEY, for example (I have to do more tests)
SELECT
sch.sch_key, sch.sch_status, sch.sch_note, mil.mil_key, rsc.rsc_data, rsc.rsc_desc
FROM
osi, sch, mil, rsc
WHERE
mil.mil_key = osi.mil_key and
osi.sch_key = sch.sch_key and
sch.sch_key = ? and
rsc.rsc_key = osi.rsc_key
c) Load the e-mail definition template and replaces the fields
d) Sends the e-mail
With that I solved another problem: I have to send an e-mail always the assignee adds a note to the task.

How to send alert email notification through graphical mapping ?
Hi,
I want to send an email notification whenever there is an exception raised while doing graphical mapping.
However my requirements are as follows :
1. We want to use email adpater sending emails
2. We don't want to go for BPM approach, to achieve the above requirement
3. We don't want to connect to any alert framewok.
I appreciate your early reply.
Thanks
GaneshHey
>>whenever there is an exception raised while doing graphical mapping.
as said earlier this is not possible without configuring alerts.
yeah,if u know the reasons beforehand that why exceptions can be be triggered in mapping,then u can use conditional receiver determination,for e.g suppose u know that you will get a mapping exception if value of tag <OrdersID>=000,then u can use this condition in conditional receiver determination and send a mail to concerned party,but this won't work if u don't know beforehand as to under what conditions the exception will be triggered in mapping.
i would vote for configuring alerts as its the most suited way to handle this
thanx

Need to dismiss a "Send pics/video notification"
I inadvertently set up a pic/video MMS with no recipient and no content, but my Treo Pro 850e WW keeps trying to send the undeliverable MMS, and notifies me that delivery was unsuccessful. The notification asks if I want to retry now or later, and I also receive a Notification soft key status notification that I cannot dismiss. Where is the outgoing message queue that would allow me to delete this MMS?
Post relates to: Centro (Sprint)I have had the same issue having NOT sent out any pic/videos. I get a notification that there was a failure to send/receive pics/video and it asks if I want to resend now or resend later. Clicking on either simply changes the time that I get disturbed yet again by the same notification! Has anyone found a solution to this??

Delivery status notifications Code Samples
Hi,
I'm looking for some code samples on how to use javamail Delivery status notifications.
Please, are there any code samples?
ngocthanI accept that the recipient must actually confirm receipt but until very recently I could request a delivery status report and would get confirmation that an email had been delivered to the intended server or not as the case may be. Suddenly these confirmations have stopped and I think it unlikely that all the receiving servers have simultaneously been programmed not to send delivery status confirmation. Confirmation of delivery to the receiving server is important, sometimes vital, in my work to demonstrate that non-receipt is a problem at the receiving end and that a document or email was actually sent.

Send different email notifications when a request is rejected/completed
Hi Friends,
I have developed a SOA composite in OIM 11g. And I am getting the same email notification when a request is fully completed or when it is rejected by an approver. How to send diffrerent email notification when a request is completed and when it is rejected by an approver.There are multiple ways in which you can do it.
1. Modify your SOA composite and change the notification properties in the .task. Here change the status of the event and configure different notifications for different events.
2. Use the Request Status change plugin in OIM to send the notification and remove all notification from SOA composite.
3. Use explicit notification service in the SOA composite and attach the notification service component at appropriate places in the SOA workflow. Additionally remove the notification configuration from the .task

How can I make the return receipt and deliver status notification work ?y
I have checked marked "return receipt" and "delivery status notification" when doing emails.
Doesn't seem to be working.
Please helpare they not working, or has the recipient simply declined to send them? That is the real question. Sending mail to yourself rarely triggers the return receipt

Send email using notification service

</IncomingServerSettings>
</EmailAccount>
</EmailAccounts>
Only this ns_emails.xml file has been changed. And I am using the email activity in BPEL code to send mail. But, mail is not being sent.
Do I need to make any further changes in any other files in the server?you need to replace the NONE value with EMAIL

How do I send a email notification with PL/SQL to Check for Columns
I want to be able to use PL/SQL to check my columns and makes sure that all required columns were populated, and if any were not populated to send an email notification.
Thanks
HankI would still suggest that adding appropriate constraints (well, logical constraints) to the table is the right way to go.
When you get the file back, you load the data into the table. If the constraint is satisfied, the data is loaded. If the constraint is violated, the loader gets an error, writes the affected data to another table, to another file, etc. That way, the data in the database is always correct and you have a log of the rows that were bad.
create table t( status varchar2(10), cost number );
create or replace trigger trg_t
before insert or update
on t
for each row
begin
if :new.status = 'Approved' and :new.cost is null
then
raise_application_error( -20001, 'Cost must not be null if status is approved' );
end if;
end;
SCOTT @ hp92 Local> insert into t values( 'Reject', 1 );
1 row created.
SCOTT @ hp92 Local> insert into t values( 'reject', null );
1 row created.
SCOTT @ hp92 Local> insert into t values( 'Approved', 2 );
1 row created.
SCOTT @ hp92 Local> insert into t values( 'Approved', null );
insert into t values( 'Approved', null )
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-20001: Cost must not be null if status is approved
ORA-06512: at "SCOTT.TRG_T", line 4
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'SCOTT.TRG_T'If you don't want to touch the loader, you can rename the table, create a view with the same name, and use an INSTEAD OF trigger on the view to populate the real table or a reject table.
Either way, you're better off, in general, rejecting invalid records than trying to expend a lot of effort reporting on them.

Send custom email notification with taskID to task owners
Hi there,
For a BPM process we're switching the UI partly from WDJ to SAPUI5.
I've got a question about that:
Right now, task owners are notified by the standard e-mail:
Dear Potential Owners,
You have new task(s) in your work item inbox. To view this task, click any of the following links.
Direct access to this task:
<http://sap.example.com:50000/example.com~approverequest/index.html?taskId=655fba65239311e48ef70000254e17a2>,
Your complete work item list:
<http://sap.example.com:50000/NavigationTarget=ROLES:portal_content/every_user/...>
This mail is generated automatically. Do not reply.
In case of technical issues, contact your IT department directly
As we want to make the new UI also available from the internet (e.g. mobile phones), we want to use a reverse proxy for that.
So in fact the address will no more be http://sap.example.com:50000, but http://approval.example.com.
Can I send out custom notifications including the task ID?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Thorsten.Hi Thorsten,
I'm not 100% sure if this will work for you or not, but you can change the URL's via Java system properties, see the below screenshot. If you set custom calculated values here they will appear in the default messages that are sent out.
Being Java system properties these apply across the entire system though so if you only want a subset of tasks to have the external facing URL this wont work, this also assumes the external facing url will work internally too.

Delivery Status Notification not updating properly??????
Hi All,
Am working on in Java Mail API. My application mainly used for sending automated e-mails to Outlook and I have to update the status of that e-mail whether that e-mail has been sent or not, by using DSN(Delivery Status Notification). Here we are using SMTP exchange server and POP3.
Below lines explain you how we updating the status of that e-mail status:
When receipient got automated e-mails from our application, one Delivery Receipt will goes to our Outlook mailbox(which gets only the delivery,read receipt status e-mail from that receipients). After they read that e-mail one Read Receipt will goes to that same mail box. Here we have one Java program which reads that mailbox using POP3. While reading that mailbox we are updating that status of the e-mail using some logics.
Perfectly I can able to update these DSN status in report in my developement environment(here we are using our own configured exchage server). Am using RFC822 to do this.
following sample code snippet:
StringBuffer dsn = new StringBuffer();
dsn.append("SUCCESS,FAILURE,DELAY ORCPT=rfc822;");
dsn.append(SrvObj.getFromEmailId().trim());
props.put("mail.smtp.dsn.notify", dsn);
session = Session.getDefaultInstance(props, null);But while we are using that same in our live application its not worked,because this entire process goes to another exchange server.Sometimes we are getting delivery and read receipt status for some e-mail ids.
