Breakpoints in Ecc 6.0

Hi all,
I am using ecc 6.0 & i am trying to place a breakpoint on a smartform driver program but it is not allowing me to do that.
The error which i am getting is 'You cannot set more than 30 breakpoints' ..
I have checked the program is active & not a single breakpoint is placed in the program .
Please help me in this.
Regards,
Bhumika

Hi Bhumi
Do one thing just close this log on session and again login and open your smartform and activate it .
May be it solves your problem .

  • Client proxy code

    Hi All,
from where we can find out that data is passed to proxy??
    Regards

    Gangadhar ,
    For Server Proxy :
    1. you need to set the external breakpoint in ECC ABAP code .
    For client Proxy
    1. You can check by setting normal breakpoints and can then on debugging till passing the values to method of Object created by Interface class.
    2. Set Parameters for Integration engine of  ECC using SXMB_ADM and check there it self at SXMB_MONI of ECC.

  • Debugging RFC function module from ECC to CRM

    Hi All,
My requirement is to debug an RFC function module present in CRM(7.0) system from ECC(6.0) system. A report program in ECC will call CRM custom FM. I found many posts in SDN with the same issue and tried to implement suggestions provided there. But I couldn't succeed. The approach I followed is:
I logged in to ECC report program and kept an external breakpoint just before the function module call.
I logged in to CRM system, opened the function module and kept an external breakpoint there.
In both the systems I provided the dialogue userid( id through which I log in to SAPGUI) in the system->settings->debugging option.
In CRM I activated the external break point in  transaction SRDEBUG.
Now when I execute the report program in ECC, control stops at the breakpoint. If I press F5 at the function call, control is not going to the external break point set in the CRM FM. I am getting output of FM directly.
I tried with different settings like turning on the check box for IP matching and session breakpoint active immediate, switching to classic debugger etc. I also tried to provide the RFC user id instead of dialogue user but system throws exception saying only dialogue userids are allowed. I found that by inserting an infinite loop statement, control goes inside the RFC CRM FM but I prefer not to change the code.
Please let me know if I missed anything.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Naren

    Hi,
    Debug RFC calls
When an RFC function module is called it is usually not possible to debug the call, using the below techniques we can achieve the same. For this example we are calling an RFC enabled FM in ECC system from CRM system.
Scenario 1: Calling a custom RFC FM
STEP 1: Add an infinite loop in the remote custom Function Module (adding a u201CDO. ENDDO.u201D statement at the start of the FM would be enough).
STEP 2: Execute your program in the CRM system. The execution stops at the RFC call, because of the infinite loop.
STEP 3: Now login to the ECC system and go to transaction SM51 select the process which is executing the RFC and navigate to the menu: u201CProgram/Session->Program->Debuggingu201D this triggers the debugger session in a separate window.
Scenario 2: Calling a Standard RFC FM
When we are debugging a standard program we cannot add the infinite loop, hence we cannot go to SM51 and debug the work process. The RFC destination for the ECC system has a User specified, the RFC function module gets executed using this users credentials. Usually the basis team set up the RFC user as non Dialog user, this does not allow debugging. Contact your Basis team and get this changed to a dialog user enabling you to debug RFC function calls via the normal debugger.
Note: User name configured in the RFC destination (transaction SM59)
Note: User type for the RFC User (transaction SU01D)
    Hope this will be helpful..

  • BP replication from CRM 7.0 to ECC 6.0

    Hi Gurus,
when ever we create new BP in CRM , it is not replicating to ECC
A bdoc type "bupa_main" is generated in txn:Smw01 which reads "partially send, receivers" error type 02, state not processed ,
it gives error "fill in all required entry"
though even after maintaining this we are getting same error.
Error message "Fill in all required entry fields" (Error Message no. 00055).
    we also checked in CRM
txn:smoeac that subscriptions are maintained for BUPA_MAIN.
and role assigned to BP is "sold to party" and it is without error.
    ECC:
    txn:PIDE
account group is clasified as type "B".
    txn:ovt0
same account group is marked as "default SP"
number range is maintained same as CRM but external here.
    Please help it is critical.

    Hello wwgauravshah ,
When a BP replication to R/3 fails with the error 'Fill all required
fields', It is possible to debug the upload as follows in order to
    identify the required field,
Then it is necessary to maintain this field and subsequently resend
the business partner using the transaction CRMM_BUPA_SEND
Recreate the BDOC for the BP, by running the transaction CRMM_BUPA_SEND
    1. Display the BDOC  in SMW01
    2. Enter /h in the transaction code field
    3. Press the 'retry to process message' button.
    4. In the debugger - select the Settings button and 'In background task
       do not process'
    5. Enter F8
    6. Create a new session for the outbound queue (/osmq1) there will be
       an entry R3AUBUPA*** or CSA_BUPA**
    7. Double-Click on this queue entry twice and choose Debug for the
       CRM_UPLOAD_TRIGGER
    8. In the debugger, set a breakpoint at statement 'CALL TRANSACTION' and
       then press F8.
    9. At this statement double-click on the statement CALL_TRANSACTION and
change the variable CALL_TRANSACTION_MODE from N to A, press the
'change field content' button and then press F8
    10. Now you will be in the R/3 System and you can see the batch input
screen for this customer and you will then be prompted for the
       missing field in the BDOC.
Please also review Note: 755107, especially point 8. This also tells you some fields that are required and which needs to be filled in the BP

  • Move BP from CRM 7.0 to ECC 6

    Hello Gurus,
We have a project to move business partners form CRM 7 to ECC 6 EhP4. We need to migrate sales area,  customer groups as well as EEWB custom fields. To map CRM EEWB fields, the table KNA1 is appended however the field names are different than what we have on CRM.
    Question 1
Since the data is posted via IDoc  DEBMAS02, structure E1KNA1M does not contain any Z fields. I could however use BADIs to make manipulations though. My question is what is the recommended approach to migrate the EEWB fields to ECC. Has anybody adjusted the IDoc for this scenario?
    Question 2
If we create a BP in CRM with or without sales area in one shot, it is getting posted in ECC correctly. However if we add sales area as part of delta, ECC is getting the data however doesn't post. Any ideas on that.
Thanks for your visit to my thread.

  • SRM 7.0 PO not replicated to Backend ECC 6.0 Ehp 4

    Hi SRM Gurus,
    SRM 7.0  SP 8 - ECC 6.04 SAPKH60406 ECS
    RFx Response to PO -
SRM Local PO is created and is in held status.  Purchaser gives the source of supply and Acc Assignment and order it.
PO now is in Ordered status.
Issue: this PO is not replicated to Backend ECC 6.04.
    Did the Debugging as follows:
    1.  BP at B46B_DPO_TRANSFER.
    2.  Got the PO GUID from the BBP_PD transaction.
    3.  FM BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC, execute it and it  stopped in the breakpoint.
    4.  On 'FUNCTION 'BBP_PO_INBOUND' DESTINATION lv_destination',  hit F6.
    5. Checked  lt_bapi_return details.
Here there should be information regarding some error during the PO copy to backend.
With this error message you can check why the PO was not created in backend.
ERRORS from Backend are as follows:
    1.   No instance of object type PurchaseOrder has been created. External reference:   E  BAPI 001
    2.   Document contains no items       E    ID 06   Number 010
    3.   Please enter items first.              W   ID 05                 005
No XML messages in SXMB_moni both in SRM side and ECC side.
What am i doing wrong here?  Any help is highly appreciated.

Since we are in SRM 7.0 ECC 6.04 Ehp 4,  with PI 7.11 + ROS and no SUS.
doent the system uses ESOA Service for PO replication.
We did CCTR / CPPR scenarios too. Both are sucessful.
Do we need to impl BADI PUR_SE_PO_INTERFACE_OUT_SELECT
But thats for Service hierarchy and Service POs -  We dont have Service hierarchy or SUS in our SLD.
IF PO replication also uses PI, what configuration do i need to do?

  • RFC call from ECC to SCM -- Debug Steps required

    Hello,
The steps being done for this issue is:-
    1) In ECC system ,CN22 Transaction Code (Change Networks) --> Click on Schedule (at the Header) and click on SAVE
    2) This seems to trigger an RFC call to SCM server (as per the trace log).
    3) From SCM, it comes back to ECC server as User 'BATCHRFC'. This has been defined in SM59 correctly.
    4) BATCHRFC in ECC system calls an RFC FM 'CIF_PJ_INBOUND' and changed the status of networks to DSEX (date set by External system)
We are trying to understand why is the RFC call being made? I can debug the FM in ECC when an external breakpoint is used.
However, I want to know where in ECC is the RFC call made (to SCM), and how? How can I control it as we do not want this to happen? How can I debug to understand how an RFC call is made?
    Your views would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sanjiv

    Hi,
What you do is, enter the Tcode, CN22, then in Command window activate debugger by entering /H
It takes u to debugger, from menu > utilities set a break point at Satetment Call Function, it will stop at all the Function modules in debugger, so you can look for the RFC FM in the program where it is called.
And also look for setting in debugger, may be u have some options for RFC FM.

  • How to debug proxies in CRM when called from ECC system

    Hi,
My requirement is When a Post Goods Issue happens in ECC, the iobject is created in CRM system.
The proxy is called in the ECC system. The implementation of the proxy is done in the CRM system.
I am able to debug and see that the values are passed correctly to the proxy.
In CRM system, the iobject is not created. So, i wanted to debug the implementation which is available in the CRM system.
How can i debug in CRM system while the Post Goods Issue is done in the ECC system.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Shanthi

hi ,  if you want to debug through ERP to CRM , you need to set a external breakpoint in CRM
And to set the external breakpoint, you need to login CRM system by the middleware user, not a normal user.
To check the middleware user name, you can search the view CRMRFCPAR in sm30  ERP, find out the RFC destination to CRM,  then check the user used in the RFC destination in SM59

  • Root Cause Analysis - Breakpoints in ABAP

    Gurus ,
We had this breakpoints in the ECC - datasource extractors which got transported in the  production and I have been given the task to identify the root cause analysis as to why was it not caught in dev,qa and testing.
can any one share their experience as to how to avoid this negligence and  the additional steps required to ensure this does not happen again ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
To identify the break points and avoid the transport of breakpoints. U can run the extended program check and there you can find in EPC error in superfluous statements the break points present in ur report.

  • How to test server proxy in ECC 6.0 ?

    Hi,
Please tell me how to test server proxy created in SPROXY of ECC 6.0  .
I am following this blog XI: Debug your inbound ABAP Proxy implementation .
When i am executing the test service provider i am getting an error with " program terminated " message  creating a dump .
How to test it through this method ? Is there any other way to test in ECC6.0
    Thanks,
    Laawanya D

    Hi,
I have put a breakpoint in my proxy code and when i am trying to execute only, i am getting the error "Program terminated" .
I am using ECC6.0 , so when i am clicking on Test Interface, i am not  getting  "Application Data Entry" parameters  as given in  Stefan's blog , but I am getting something like:
    Input:
    1.Generate template Data
    2.Enforce Stylesheet generation
    (I have checked both 1 & 2 .)
    Error Handling:
    1.Don't catch Application faults
if i check this and execute , my program gets terminated , leaving a dump and if i dont set it also My program gets terminated .
So what to do now ?

  • PO not creating in ECC

    Hi All,
We are facing a problem in SRM production system. The PO is created in SRM after approval completion. Now the PO is not creating in ECC prod system. We are getting the following error in SRM EBP.
Comm. error checking account assignmt for purchase order 4100001309 in system HCPCLNT100
How does the PO replicate to ECC system? Is there any place to see where is the log?
Please help as this is very high priorit

    Hi,
You can check if the PO in question was not transferred due to an internal error or check why the error is happening in backend system. In order to do it, you can perform the following action:
    - Breakpoint at FM B46B_DPO_TRANSFER;
    - SE37 BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC, enter PO header GUID and execute;
    - Program will stop at FM where the BP was set;
    - Look for statement CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_PO_INBOUND' DESTINATION lv_destination;
    - F6 or F5 to debug into ERP (2nd session will start). Here you can check the table lt_bapi_return in order to check if the PO has been created or not in backend.
    I hope it helps.
    Kind regards,
    Ricardo

  • BDC running in foreground in ECC 6.0

    hi all,
we have the system upgraded to ECC 6 and there was a BDC which was working fine in earlier version 4.7.
But now after the upgrade BDC runs in the foreground instead of background.
Can any one help me on this issue.
    Regards,
    Tcode

    Hi
I guess the BDC is using 'Call transaction' not 'Session method'.
The 'MODE' in 'Call transaction' decides whether it is run in background or foreground. Please do check the code to ensure the value passed to MODE.
    mode Effect
"A" Processing with display of screens
"E" Display of screens only if an error occurs
"N" Processing without display of screens. If a breakpoint is reached in one of the called transactions, processing is terminated with sy-subrc same as 1001. The field sy-msgty contains "S", sy-msgid contains "00", sy-msgno contains "344", sy-msgv1 contains "SAPMSSY3", and sy-msgv2 contains "0131".
"P" Processing without display of the screens. If a breakpoint is reached in one of the called transactions, the system branches to the ABAP Debugger.
    Others Like "A".
    Cheers!

  • Need Ways to implement Badis in ECC 6.0 (Enhancement Points)

    Hi experts,
I am new to BADIs. I've a requirement to find a BADI for changing Customer number while posting customer invoice in SAP (the data is coming from XI system in IDOC format). I want to know any BADIs or userexits are there for my requirement. At the same time I want to know how to implement a BADI in ECC 6.0 .Any docs releated to this topic will be of great help.
points will be awarded for sure..........

    hi Poorna Chandras... ,
These steps should enable you to find any BADI related to any transaction in a matter of minutes.
    Procedure 1:
    1) Go to the transaction SE37 to find your function module.
    2) Locate the function SXV_GET_CLIF_BY_NAME.
    3) Put a breakpoint there.
    4) Now open a new session.
    5) Go to your transaction. 6) At that time, it will stop this function.
    7) Double click on the function field EXIT_NAME.
    8) That will give you name of the BADI that is provided in your transaction.
    Business Add-Ins
    Procedure 2:
    1) Goto se24 (Display class cl_exithandler)
    2) Double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.
    3) Put a break point at Line no.25 (CASE sy-subrc).
    4) Now Execute SAP standard transaction
    5) Press the required button for which you need to write an exit logic, the execution will stop at the break point.
    6) Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.
    7) This way you will find all the BADIs called on click of any button in any transaction
SAP Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) are one of the most important technologies used to adapt SAP software to specific requirements. BAdIs were introduced with Release 4.6 and replace function module exits. This technology is not limited to SAP applications. BAdI calls can be integrated in customer applications. These can then be enhanced by other customer applications. In the various SAP applications, BAdI calls are implemented at places where enhancements are appropriate.Business add-ins are enhancements to the standard version of the system. They can be inserted into the SAP System to accommodate user requirements too specific to be included in the standard delivery. Since specific industries often require special functions, SAP allows you to predefine these points in your software.
In contrast to customer exits, Business Add-Ins no longer assume a two-level infrastructure (SAP and customer solutions), but instead allow for a multi-level system landscape (SAP, country-specific versions, industry solutions, partner, customer, and so on). You can create definitions and implementations of Business Add-Ins at any level of the system landscape.SAP guarantees the upward compatibility of all Business Add-In interfaces. Release upgrades do not affect enhancement calls from within the standard software nor do they affect the validity of call interfaces. You do not have to register Business Add-Ins in SSCR.
The Business Add-In enhancement technique differentiates between enhancements that can only be implemented once and enhancements that can be used actively by any number of customers at the same time. In addition, Business Add-Ins can be defined according to filter values. This allows you to differentiate between Add-In implementations using the filter Country or other criteria.
The enhancement technique is set up in such a way that it is possible to define interfaces for ABAP soure code, screens, GUI interfaces, and tables. These allow customers to include their own enhancements in the standard. A single Business Add-In contains all of the interfaces necessary to implement a specific task.
BADI is just an object-oriented version of user-exit. Instead of entering program code into some function module (as in customer-exit), you define some class which has to implement predefined methods and those methods are fired at predefined points just like an old user-exit. Some BADI can have multiple independent implementations which is much better for software deployment as several developers can implement the same BADI independently. BADI/UserExists are used to enhance R/3 For customer Needs.
Actually there is no transaction to find when and where the BADI
    is called.
    1. You can see the BADI description to find why it is called.
    2. Once you implemented and activated the BADI, put some break points
in the BADI and see "where else used" option to check in what all
programs this BADI is called. In the ITS debug, when you are doing
the operation what exactly the BADI description tells, it will take
to the break points and you have to do manually debug the whole thing.
I know its bit difficult to do manual debug the whole thing, it
takes lot of time, but you have to be very patience when you are
    dealing with BADI's.
Transaction SE18 is the BADI equivalent of transaction SMOD
Transaction SE19 is the BADI equivalent of transaction CMOD .
To find the BADI to be implemented and then implement this via SE19.

  • Which BAPI is called by middleware to create a sales order in ECC??

Hi experts,as we know,a BAPI in ECC will be called by middleware to replicate a sales order from CRM to ECC?
Do you know the BAPI name??
How can I debug into it from CRM side??
    Thanks.
    Jerry.

    Hi,
have a look at function group "CRMA" in ERP, this is the interface for salesorders.
For debuging there are some ways, stop queues, put external breakpoint...

  • How to debug a failed shopping cart transfer to ECC in classic mode

    Hello,
I am using SRM 5 in classic mode, connected to ECC 6.0.
I have an error message in the administrator monitor that tells me a transfer a shopping cart to ECC has failed.
"Shopping cart 1000000123: Error creating the follow-on document"
    (Message is BBP_PU 367)
This is located in the "local errors" section of the administrator monitor.
The follow on doucment will be a PO in ECC.
This message does not tell me the cause of the problem therefore I need to retrnsmit the cart and debug to find the error message that is being returned from ECC.
I have browsed the forum and there are various answers about debugging but but have not found exact instructions on how to debug, and it is now always clear on whether the instructions apply to classic or extended classic.
I have seen reference to the method in note 539978 that creates test data with FBGENDAT for the ECC BAPI. However this method does not seem suitable for a production system because it will interfere with all shopping carts being transferred while the shoppign cart with the problem is being debugged.
Therefore I would like to debug in SRM just for the shoppign cart with the problem.
Hopefully this thread will become the defintiive poitn of reference for debuggin a classic shopping cart transfer to ECC  in SRM 5.
I propose to use function module BBP_PD_SC_TRANSFER to transfer the shopping cart again by entering the shopping cart GUID.
Question 1) Can this error message be returned by checks in SRM before the BAPI is called in ECC? If so, where do I place a breakpoint to find the error determined by the checks in SRM?
Question 2) If the system is getting as far as calling the BAPI in ECC, is it possbile to find the error message passed back from ECC by this approach, given that the actual transfer is carried out by the spooler?
Question 3) If this approach is valid, in which method/function module do I need to place a breakpoint, at which statement is the error message passed back to SRM from ECC?
    Your help would be appreciated,
    Reagrds

    Hi Paul,
a small correction to Dishas comment:
The class CL_BBP_BS_ADAPTER_PO_CRT_470_1 is used for the backend release 4.7, so it is not relevant for you. Instead of this, you have to take the CL_BBP_BS_ADAPTER_PO_CRT_ERP10 and method CREATE_DOCUMENT. This is the last step, before the SRM calls the backend system.
From the alert "local errors" I suppose, that there is an error in the SRM customizing (in case the error message comes from the backend system, you get the message into the "Backend Application error").
Typical customizing error, when e.g. the number range of the purchase REQUISITION is not correctly customized (in case the prerequisits for a PO are not fulfilled, the system tried to create a purchase requisition). See the note 1173815 regarding this problem.
    Back to your questions:
The activating of the FBGENDAT was a good idea, but I would give here two hints:
    - I case of production system you can use only the "Mode B".
    - Activate the FBGENDAT only for a short term:
-- at first set the breakpoint in the method CREATE_DOCUMENT (as above described)
    -- execute the BBP_PD_SC_TRANSFER
-- you will be stopped at the breakpoint.
-- Now you can activate the FBGENDAT in the backend
-- go on with F8 in the debugger in the SRM system
-- >>> test data will be filled in the backend system (BAPI_PO_CREATE1)
    -- deactivate the FBGENDAT
You can do this in one min. and the worst what can happen is that you have 2-3 test data in the BAPI_PO_CREATE1 additionally to the erronous SC.
Question 1) Can this error message be returned by checks in SRM before the BAPI is called in ECC? If so, where do I place a breakpoint to find the error determined by the checks in SRM?
    - Maybe... Places for setting breakpoints
    -- FM "BBP_PD_MSG_ADD"
    -- System command "RAISE"
-- FM "META_BAPI_DISPATCH" (typical problem, see above, and also the note 1173815)
Question 2) If the system is getting as far as calling the BAPI in ECC, is it possible to find the error message passed back from ECC by this approach, given that the actual transfer is carried out by the spooler?
    - Yes, you can find the message in the:
-- Test data of the BAPI_PO_CREATE1, if you have activated the FBGENDAT
-- In the method CREATE_DOCUMENT if you "comes back" from the RFC call from the backend
Question 3) If this approach is valid, in which method/function module do I need to place a breakpoint, at which statement is the error message passed back to SRM from ECC?
    - see above, CL_BBP_BS_ADAPTER_PO_CRT_ERP10 method CREATE_DOCUMENT
    Kind regards,
    Peter
