Broken Bindings

I created a master (forms) /detail (table) page between Questions and Answers tables. It's working fine. The bindings are:
Id -> QuestionsView1Iterator
Label -> QuestionsView1Iterator
AnswersView -> AnswersView2Iterator
Then I add a new ADF column by dropping the Correct column, a new binding is created
Correct -> AnswersView2Iterator
Important Note: Both table Questions and Answers have an Id and Label column which are both displayed in the master and the detail.
Adding this new column, breaks the bindings because the Id and Label column displays values from the master iterator and not from the detail iterator.
Any Ideas?
JDev 11gR1

Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.6.0CLOUD_GENERIC_121118.1600.6229
The step I did:
Drop QuestionsView1 as an ADF Form.
Drop AnswersView2 as an ADF Table
It Works
In AnswersView2 I drop the "Correct" attribute as Single Selection as Column -> ADF Select Boolean Box
Then I setup the Boolean Binding
Run the page and the issue occurs.
I followed your blog post to create the master detail: Master Detail Insert/Delete Sample | JDev & ADF Goodies
Note: Correct is the actual column name

  • Control-k key binding broken. How can I check and change my key bindings?

    I use the Terminal app a lot. Unfortunately I am not able to use the control-k shortcut to cut lines in the terminal anymore. How can I check (and change) the Terminal key bindings?
    Thank you!

    Basing on your input, you should get the following values:
    1) session keys
    SK_ENC: 6DCE2A99BACB5207A7A96A92F114D66C
    SK_MAC: 0D446132B168F75CD6F0A780693A4DD3
    SK_DEK: 19F7B0F94837F32874B29B5EFB7809F6
    2) host cryptogram
    1B781553209748EA
    3) Retail MAC
    01761103B810F00E
    Summing up, the External Authenticate command should have the following value:  84 82 01 00 10 1B781553209748EA 01761103B810F00E.
    Try to compare it with your results.

  • OSB 11g proxy service test console fail with Broken pipe

    Hi everyone.
    I have a strange problem with OSB test console (and sometime with java client). The proxy I built cannot response after several request. In other word, I tried to test console for dozens time, sometime I cannot have response from OSB. I wait for the response for 5 minutes and get some strange exception, that is broken pipe, but error code is not unique.
    I cannot understand why my proxy service stuck in that exception. Can you help me to solve it ?
    Any suggestion is appreciated.
    P/S: that is log record on server:
    <BEA-423405> <An exception [Broken pipe] was thrown while rendering the content at [/jsp/test/ServiceResult.jsp].

    Hi, everyone.
    This is my proxy service that was tested above. Can you show me some instructions for tuning it? On these day, I get many bad performance responses from that service.

  • JNDI bindings not being replicated across servers in a cluster

    According to the Weblogic Server documentation, JNDI bindings are
              automatically replicated across the servers in a cluster.
              http://www.weblogic.com/docs45/classdocs/weblogic.jndi.WLContext.html#REPLIC
              ATE_BINDINGS
              This is not proving to be true in my testing. Perhaps it's "just broken", or
              perhaps my cluster isn't correctly configured...
              Here is a reproducible case. Install the following on two or more servers in
              a cluster. You'll need to change line 26 of test1 to reference one of the
              servers explicitly.
              Test 1 works fine, since both web servers connect to the same server for
              JNDI usage. The test should return the last host to hit the page, along with
              the current host name. Alternating between servers in the cluster will
              alternate the results. However, the fact that I'm specifically naming a
              server in the cluster breaks the whole point of clustering -- if that server
              goes down, the application ceases to function properly.
              Test 2, which is supposedly the right way to do it, does not work, an error
              message is logged:
              Tue Jan 04 08:17:15 CST 2000:<I> <ConflictHandler> ConflictStart
              lastviewhost:java.lang.String (from
              [email protected]:[80,80,7002,7002,-1])
              And then both servers begin to report that they have been the only server to
              hit the page. Alternating between servers will have no effect -- both
              servers are looking solely at their own copies of the JNDI tree. No
              replication is occurring.
              What is up with this? Any ideas?

  • ADF Bindings are corrupted when non-ADF Bound resource is referenced first

    I have an application that uses ADF BC binding on JSF pages. I recently wrote an image servlet which pulls an image out of the DB and writes it back to the response (so that it can be referenced in an <img> tag, for example). I wrote it to use BC4J to fetch the image BLOB, but it does not reference any page bindings. I use the following to get the app module:
            ImageAmImpl imageAm = (ImageAmImpl) Configuration
              .createRootApplicationModule( "myTestPackage.ImageAm",
                                            "ImageAmLocal" );and the following in a finally block at the end to release it:
            Configuration.releaseRootApplicationModule( imageAm, true );In debugging the image servlet I found that if I hit the image servlet before anything else, my data bindings for other pages appeared to be corrupted.
    For example:
    Server starts
    Then I go to http://127.0.0.1:7101/myApp/imageServlet?imageId=760
    Then I go to http://127.0.0.1:7101/myApp/faces/testListPage.jspx which contains an ADF data bound table, and the table is empty.
    Similarly:
    Server starts
    Then I go to http://127.0.0.1:7101/myApp/faces/testListPage.jspx and the table is populated fine.
    Then I go to http://127.0.0.1:7101/myApp/imageServlet?imageId=760
    I then go back to the table, it’s still populated, but I then have an edit button allowing me to edit an item in the table and my LOV drop down lists (based on ADF bindings) are not populated.
    After doing some poking around in web.xml, I realized that only the faces servlet was behind the oracle.adf.model.servlet.ADFBindingFilter. I put the imageServlet behind this filter and everything is working fine now. I’m at a bit of a loss, though, as to why this works. I would expect the binding filter to only be required for resources that access ADF bindings, and the image servlet does not … it operates directly on a checked out app module. While the problem appears to be resolved, I'd like to have a better understanding of why it was broken in the first place and why putting the image servlet behind the ADF Binding filter fixed it.

    As far as I can understand, Configuration.createRootApplicationModule() should not be used. This method call is intended for use in an unmanaged mode, i.e. Java client.
    Check-out some of the following:
    Check Your App for Misuse of Configuration.createRootApplicationModule()
    When should I use Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(), and when not?

  • Tree bindings in 10.1.2

    Hi,
    I started to move my adf struts web app from jdev 9052 to 1012. Is there something broken in 1012 trees beacuse every time i submit information from page which uses tree bindings I get this exception:
    oracle.jbo.InvalidObjNameException: JBO-25005: Tyypin Iteraattorisidoksen määritys objektin nimi MyView_173 on virheellinen.
    Thats finnish and means something like this: Type iterator binding definition object name MyView_173 is invalid.

    I haven't tried this and am not sure about certification etc. - suggest you ask this in the J2EE forum:

  • Service Registry: why do i need two bindings (wsdlDeployment and endPoint)

    based on the technical note of Clemens Utschig "Enabling a Dynamic, Reusable SOA with Oracle BPEL Process Manager and Oracle Service Registry" i have one question:
    why do i need two bindings (wsdlDeployment and endPoint) in my service in the service registry. if i only define the wsdlDeployment if get this messages:
    <2006-12-07 09:39:02,559> <FATAL> <default.collaxa.cube.ws> no endpoint found - nothing to adjust
    <2006-12-07 09:39:02,559> <WARN> <default.collaxa.cube.ws> Could not lookup base endpoint!
    the problem of defining two bindings is that the url to my partner is redundant.

    Hi Clemens,
    The UDDI Version 3.0.2 Specification (http://www.uddi.org/pubs/uddi_v3.htm) say this:
    B.1.2 Using the "wsdlDeployment" value
    Instead of directly providing the network address in the accessPoint, it is occasionally useful or necessary to provide this information through indirect means. One common scenario for such a behavior is when the accessPoint is embedded within a WSDL file. In such a scenario, the UDDI accessPoint contains the address of the WSDL file, and the client then must retrieve the WSDL file and extract the end point address from the WSDL file itself.
    In this case, decorating the UDDI accessPoint with a useType="wsdlDeployment" is appropriate. A sample of such behavior is as follows:
    <bindingTemplate bindingKey="uddi:example.org:catalog">
       <description xml:lang="en">
           Browse catalog Web service
       </description>
       <accessPoint useType="wsdlDeployment">
           http://www.example.org/CatalogWebService/catalog.wsdl
       </accessPoint>
       <categoryBag>
           <keyedReference keyName="uddi-org:types:wsdl"
           keyValue="wsdlDeployment"
           tModelKey="uddi:uddi.org:categorization:types"/>
       </categoryBag>
    </bindingTemplate>In the example above, a client would be able to parse the result of the bindingTemplate and determine the end point of the Web service within the WSDL file discovered in the accessPoint element. Note that the bindingTemplate has also been categorized with the "wsdlDeployment" value from the uddi.org:categorization:types scheme so that it can be discovered through a find_binding API call.
    1) This means for me that providing one binding with useType=wsdlDeployment should be enough.
    2) Sadly the "Business Service Control" of the Service Registry (Publish new WSDL service) does not create the correct structure needed by the bpel-engine. The "Publish new WSDL service" wizard just creates one service with one binding with useType=other (http). So if i want to reuse this published service from bpel (as a service consumer) i have to switch to the "Service Registry Admin Control" and create a second binding with useType=wsdlDeployment. But i don't want the developers to get inside the "Service Registry Admin Control"! They should only work with the "Business Service Control".
    All this makes the usage of the service-registry very unhandy and reduce the acceptance for developers because of unnecessary manual steps and broken security principles.
    My wish for this issue is that the "Publish new WSDL service" inside the "Business Service Control" of the Service Registry would additionlly create this needed binding with useType=wsdlDeployment.
    Best Regards,
    Harald Reinmueller

  • HT1688 I have a damaged I-Phone and I need the contents of my calendar off of it. I did not have Mobile me at the time.  Can I swap out the sim card from the broken phone to a new phone and recover this calendar?

    I have an older I-Phone (3G) that for some reason the body of the phone has split in two.  This phone was a business phone and it had a lot of important information on it. I have a second phone that is also a 3G.  On the broken phone there is a lot of important information that I need in my calendar. Im not worried about anything else but the calendar.  I didn't have the Mobile Me account at that time or I would be having this problem. Does anybody know if I can ust switch out the sim cards. I just need to recover the old calendar, so im hoping that the calendar will transfer when I switch the sim card into the good 3G. If that doesn't work does anybody know of anyway that I can retrieve this information off of this phone?

    Nothing is stored on the sim card on an iPhone.  If you backed up to your computer the backup will contain your calendar events.  Otherwise, if your phone isn't functioning there is no way to back up or extract your calendar at this point.

  • HT1384 My lock screen/power button on my iPod Touch is broken, and I need some assistance.

    As the title suggests, I can not use the lock screen/power button on my iPod Touch, it is broken. I can use Adaptive Touch to turn the screen on and off at will, and also turn my device off. But if I turn it off, I don't know how to get it to turn back on. Could I just plug it into a charger and turn it back on, or would I need to plug it into my computer? Please help, in a few days I won't have access to it for 9 weeks, I need immediate help.

    If you power off the iPod, it will turn back on if you connect it to a charger like a wall charger or a computer. I just checked with a charging source to confirm. I knew it did it with a computer.

    I hope you can help me with this one.
    I just installed the 10.8.2 update trough App Store, then it asked me to restart my computer... During the restart some error message appeared saying that the installation could not be completed due to an unexpected error, and then restarted my computer automatically.

  • How do i transfer my musiclibrary from my iphone to a new computer since the computer the iphone is synct with is broken and no longer works

    if the computer your music library is synct with  is broken how do y transfer your music on your iphone to a new itunes on a new computer

    1. Disable automatic syncing on connection:  iTunes Prefs > Devices > Disable....
    2. Connect phone.
    3. Right-click the device tab on left border of iTunes window and select "Transfer Purchases."  This will transfer all iTunes store purchased music, media and apps to the iTunes library on the computer.
    It won't transfer non-iTunes store music/media (i.e. CD's you ripped  yourself) and these will get deleted from the phone when you sync.  There are 3rd party apps for your computer which may be able to backup non-iTunes media on your phone.  Google.

  • [LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw] only vertical lines when scanning, scanner broken?

    Hi all! I have a problem with the scanner in my HP all in one. If I scan (using the printer function or apples ImageCapture: same result) the output is just a lot of vertical stripes (in colors when in color mode). Not a trace of the image I try to scan. The lines are there even if i scan an empty white page. I see the stripes both when doing a preview scan and an actual scan. The problems are very similar regardless of if I use the flatbed or the feeder scanner (they are separate scanner hardware, yes?). I have updated to the latest software for the printer/scanner and I am connecting over bonjour via wireless. I am on Os X 10.9.1. Anybody having similar problems or is my scanner just plain broken? Thanks in advance!Jon

    , , I understand that both of you are seeing vertical lines when scanning from your Laserjet M276nw. First, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Now, so I know where to begin I'd need to know the following:If you are seeing the vertical lines when you copy as well as scan?Are you seeing the vertical lines when you copy from the flatbed? The document feeder? both?If you are seeing the lines from both the flatbed and the feeder are they in the same place?Once I know this I'll be better able to assist you.

  • My Mac has broken and I want to sell it for parts. How can I be sure that my personal data that is/was on the hard drive is safe?

    My 2006 MacBook Pro has broken. There is a little bit of drive noise when I turn it on, but then nothing happens. It is no big deal. Most of my files were backed up. There are a few files I would like to recover if possible, but nothing worth a major effort.
    I have seen that broken MacBook Pro's go for about $300 on eBay for parts, so I would like to sell the MacBook Pro. However, I only want to do that after I am sure that my personal data is wiped out. Does anyone know how I can accomplish that? Does anyone know of an easy way to search the old hard drive for some of the data that I lost? Can a Genius Bar take care of this stuff for me (and how much do they charge?)?
    Thank you for your help.

    The ONLY real secure way to be sure that noone may recover data from your drive is, to remove the drive, and drill one or two 1" holes thru the disk.
    A bit less secure but useful way is, to wipe out the data with a tool that's overwrite all sectors of the drive with randomized data in multiple runs.
    For example: Permanent Ereaser http://www.edenwaith.com/products/permanent%20eraser/
    Independent tests bring out, that even specialized recovery companies with forensic tools are unable to find useful data after such a run.

    There are some recovery tools out there to fit your needs, e.g. MacKeeper http://mackeeper.zeobit.com/mac-data-recovery
