1st question is the kernel that you are using
SAP BASIS 640, level: 19, Support Pack: SAPKB64019
2nd question is the user that tries to execute brtools
both oraewp & ewpadm
3rd question is the environment variables of that user
oraewp env...

The NLS_LANG variable is set as NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8 with HP-UX .
I have verified the environment (nota 602843). The version Oracle is 9.2.0.6 and brconnect is 6.40 (15).
This problem occurs since we changed the hardware. Before, this system SAP shared with other 2 systems SAP, now the system that has east problem this in a new hardwareIs the new hardware IA64 or PA-RISC?
I suggest upgrading to the latest BR*TOOLS (patchlevel 44).

For the sidadm user I didnot set the NLS10 variable:
<i>Ensure that the environment variable ORA_NLS10 is NOT SET for the sidadm user. Setting ORA_NLS10 for the sidadm has resulted in strange system behaviour.!!!!!</i>
Do ypu have any idea what is the problem how I can start the SAP with my successfully upgraded DB from 9.2.0.5 into 10.2.0.2????

Hi,

I have already run sapdba_role.sql and sapconn_role.sql on the database for the SAPSID
for sapdba_role.sql
sqlplus /nolog @sapdba_role SAPR3
for sapconn_role.sql
sqlplus /nolog @sapconn_role
Can somebody please help?I thought the format for running sapdba_role.sql was to uise only the suffix.
So if you schema is SAPSR3 then you only need to give SR3.
View the sapdba_role.sql and you will see the proper format.
Also be sure the permissions on the br* binaries are correct and they have different owners/ sticky bits set. -

It is happening for all batches.
Work around:
1- I thought that may be appworx is not able to make connection with DB so I created one customized batch which connect db and update table, , it completed successfully,
2- At DB level for Error “12705” it cause due to lang parameter; I check and found it is also currect, no issue with lang
Please advice.
ThanksWrong forum - while many Oracle Retail users also use Appworx, this is a problem between Appworx and communication with the Oracle Database.
Your best option is to use the UC4 support site, where they have a forum community : https://uc4.service-now.com/ (requires current support and login) -

Thank you.Randy,
This sounds like an issue with the BRTOOLs then. 1722 is a rare error where the SQL statement attempts to convert a string into a number - like a date in this instance.
You may need to open a ticket with SAP Support and have them look at the issue, as you may need a fix for the toolset itself.
Sorry I could not be of more assisatance Randy.

Error: 12705 Cannot access NLS data
I have just downloaded and installed 11.2 Express Edition + Oracle SQL developer on Windows 7 but when I tried to connect it returned me an error: 12705 Cannot access NLS data.
I tried to change NLS_LANG param in registry & skipped NLS settings bit it did not helped.
How to resolve this?923110 wrote:
The previous locale was set to Russia
I have Win 7 32xAccording to Installation guide section 9, about supported language configurations, not many language message files are included.
But I suspect something else is going on here. You could try changing Windows OS back to Russian locale and do:
set nls_lang=russian_russia.cl8mswin1251
sqlplus / as sysdba
Fortunately, there are many people who are able to install successfully by simply adhering to the steps in this GuideAs indicated above, with Oracle at the very minimum you need to read and follow the Installation guide for the product.
Oracle Database is an extremely capable development and deployment platform for database centric applications. It is also vast and complex, so don't be suprised if you need to spend a couple of years to get well oriented with it. One of the first things a new user should do is to get familiar with the relevant Documentation library. -
