Brush no longer active between before/after toggle - bug

1. Start a brush adjustment
2. Toggle before/after (using the / key) in the view that does NOT show the split screen
3. When you return to the 'after' view (before => after) the current brush mask will be disabled. By disabled I mean that the little bullet that shows the brush mask is in the unselected state. I have to click the brush bullet to reactivate the brush mask and continue my masking.

When you use a plug-in or an external editor, you break the lossless workflow. Aperture will create a new original file(a psd or tiff file) from the version you are editing. And this new original will be sent to the plug-in, and this original will be the one you are seeing when you toggle with "M". So after a roud-trip to the external editor, you can anly toggle back to the new quasimaster(original) with "M", not all the way back to the imported original.
You cannat avoid this, only by doing all edits with Aperture provided adjustment tools and avoiding external edits.

There are several ways i can think of
1. Alt click on the cancel button and the Ctrl+Z
2. Hit the Restore All button then Crtl+Z
3. If you have the advanced options showing you could use Show Backdrop and then toggle the Show Image

Welcome to the  discussion forums.
Try going to synching in the sources menu on your tv and selecting 'change itunes library', when it gives you the passcode check itunes to see if the tv is showing up as a new device, if so try entering the pass code. It may be that your tv is seeing itunes as a different library because of a recent upgrade.

The transaction is no longer active - Transaction timed out after 30 second

We have an intermittent error here, and I'm a rookie. The error results in a 500 being sent to the customer every 10th-20th POST and only occurs under heavy load. The heavy loading is over the for the day, but it'll be back.
My first suspicion was the app code doing transaction work and having database performance problems. But the app is non-transactional and the database is fine. The server farm nodes (4) are all experiencing the problems at equal rates, and the other apps on the farm are fine, so it appears to be app-specific rather than rooted in server state or database state.
I looked at the stack a little more closely and it appears to be some kind of internal persistence issue, but a completely foreign one to me. We have no Persistent Stores configured, so I don't know where to even start on this puppy.

This was actually my first conclusion as well. But when I went to the Data Source for this connection, I found it's a non-transactional driver. That's what made me go back and give the trace a second look. I don't see any references to the Data Source in question. It's OpenJPA stuff and Session persistence stuff.Non-XA drivers can still participate in an XA transaction via a variety of JDBC data source options - for example, labeled "1PC" and "LLR" on the console. (If you want to understand the particulars search for "JTS" or "LLR" in the JDBC edocs).
You seem to be suggesting maybe the setting can be made in a config doc, possibly of the app itself, right? Right. EJBs have a transaction-timeout attribute.
As opposed to setting it in the console. WebLogic has a domain wide default transaction-timeout setting that can be set on the console, but I tend not to recommend using it. In addition, there's something called a "deployment plan" which can be used to override some of the common EJB attributes via configuration, but I'm not personally familiar with its usage.

I wonder if this thing couldn't be telling me it's waiting on the persistence subsystem to come available to store simple session data? Sometimes the problem is that there are periodic app requests that are more complex/larger than others. Sometimes the system is simply overloaded, and takes 30 seconds to honor a request that might normally take 10 seconds.
That other app is all about persistence. What if app2 is sucking some persistence subsystem dry and app 1 is waiting just to store session data? Could be.
If the nonXA thing really does kill the quick timeout workaround, how could I health-check the persistence subsystem?Don't know. At a wild guess I'd check for CPU's at 100% on all involved serves, and examine database stats.

Difference between Before aggregation and After aggregation

Can any one tell me what is d difference between Before and after aggregation of calculated key figure?

Before aggregation calculates the data before summarizing the final results while after aggregation, it will summarize the result first before it calculates.
Assume:
Customer#----
Orders
10000----
10
10001----
20
10000----
30
if you want to count the number of customers before aggregates and after aggregates gives you different result.
Before aggregates will give you

Count
10000----
2
10001----
1
After Aggregates will give you
Customer#----
Count

Customer might not be a good example but the concept remains the same for others.

Home Sharing no longer works between iTunes and Apple TV.

I've been through all the forums, tried all the solutions provided and I have come to the conclusion that Home Sharing just no longer works between iTunes on a PC and my Apple TV. Does anyone know if this issue will be addressed or should I list my Apple TV up on eBay? (along with my iPad, iPod, and iPhone, since all system no longer sync together as before.)
My issue:
My iTunes library is no longer listed under "Computers" on the Apple TV.
The airplay icon no longer shows up in iTunes. (Version 11)
I cannot play music/content from my iPhone or iPad via remote that is stored in my iTunes library through my Apple TV.
I can however play music/content that is stored locally on my iPhone and iPad through my Apple TV.
My firewall settings are allowing access to Apple TV.
After logging into my router, I see no issues there.
I've logged in/out, turned home sharing on/off, de-authorized/authorized, and restarted my PC, Apple TV, and Router.
All devices are logged into the same iTunes account, and are on the same wireless network.
Time for a solution Apple.

If you turn off wifi on your Computer and connect it to the apple tv using an ethernet cable can you see your library under computers in Apple TV.
If yes the issue is with your wifi not the Apple TV

iTunes Home Sharing Not Working
Not working and sometimes when it is working, it cuts out in the middle, or when you click on the computer name, the focus goes away from the library. In other words, really weird.
What it is
iTunes has a feature called "Home Sharing" - it basically allows you to share your entire or part of your library with other instances of iTunes in your home network. It requires you to login to your iTunes account on both computers. A typical scenario is to enable Home Sharing on your desktop machine and then access the library from your iPad, Apple TV, iPhone, Mac, etc.
In my case, I have iTunes on my desktop machine running Windows XP in the attic with Home Sharing enabled and then I access the library from my Macbook and Apple TV, depending on what I want. How to use Home Sharing can be found here.
Symptoms
Home Sharing machine not showing up in Apple TV or the Macbook
The Macbook home sharing not showing up on my desktop
Home Sharing working intermittently
Connections getting cut of intermittently
Usually, restarting iTunes or the desktop computer will make things work.
Sometimes, restarting the Macbook or the Apple TV will make things work.
The "working" doesn't last long
The FixOn the desktop computer where the Home Sharing is enabled, I disabled the "QoS Packet Scheduler" from the network connection:
Open Control Panel
Open Network Connections
Right-Click on your connection (in my case, it was "Wireless Network Connection 4"
Select Properties
Uncheck "QoS Packet Scheduler"
Click OK
Restart iTunes if necessary
After doing the above, Home Sharing worked like a charm.

Error transaction no longer active, no further JDBC access allowed

Our application uses WLS 6.0 SP2, TopLink 3.5.3, WebLogic JMS. A
(pooled) JMS driven message bean invokes other application components
(stateless session beans). Also, application components use JMS to send
messages. JMS and application (through TopLink) use the same JDBC
connection pool. TopLink connects through javax.sql.DataSource and
external transaction controller. 2PC transactions are required to
integrate JMS and TopLink DB access (see data source definition below).
All components run in a single JVM, there is not distributed transaction
between JVMs.
When pushing > 5 concurrent messages into the system I get an error that
somehow indicates TopLink access to a connection that is no longer
associated with a WebLogic transaction.
I can consistently reproduce this error with the Oracle thin, Oracle OCI
and WebLogic OCI JDBC drivers. It seems to occur independent from the
maximum number of connections in the pool (tested between 1 and 30).
Also, when serializing the message supply with a pause in between the
error does not seem to occur.
Has anybody seen this type of problem before?
Are there possibly known issues with the external transaction controller
integration?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Better to ask on a hibernate forum, but you seem to
be trying to reuse a closed transaction. If you have
auto-commit set to ttrue, try changing it to false,
the explicitly calling commit when you are done.Might be worth finding out why something is trying to use a closed transaction first, before changing your entire transaction management idiom, though

Photoshop CS smudge brush no longer smudges

Version of Photoshop: CS (8)
OS: Vista home
RAM: 2 gigs
Free Space: 29.7 gigs
Video card: Nvidia
The problem I am having is my smudge brush will no long smudge, all it does is color with whatever color I currently have selected. I ran into this problem last night when switching between brushes (from a soft brush to a shaped brush), and as soon as I switched, the smudge brush no longer worked as it was supposed to. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop (including restarting my system), and it reinstall with everything as it was even if everything was completely removed.
I am confused as to the original issue, as well as how to fix the problem of it installing with everything as it was before I uninstalled Photoshop.
If anyone has a fix for either of these issues, I would be very grateful!

Backslash Key (Before/After preview) on Mac with MS keyboard

Hi All
Behind this rather strange headline, is (hopefully) a rather simple question.
I am using lightroom 4 on a Mac with a Microsoft Naturel keyboard, and I am having problems finding the "Backslash" key to toggle between the Before/After preview in the delveoper window.
Can anyone help me with this?? Im using a Danish language keyboard.

"Scan to computer is no longer activated" false error

Hello I purchased and installed an HP DeskJet 3521. It's configured for wifi connectivity to a couple of computers on our home network. One laptop is Windows 8 64-bit. The other is Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. The printer seems to work flawlessly. However, the driver regularly (as in every several minutes or so) pops up a message saying "Scan to computer is no longer activated" or something like that. It appears from the system tray. It then fades away after a few seconds. The printer seems otherwise to be working fine. This occurs on both laptops. The laptops are in the same room as the printer and the router. Signal strength is high. Why is this message occurring and is there a fix for it? Thanks

A Google search of the phrase “Scan to computer is no longer activated” brought me here. My printer is a Photosmart 7520, that I've had for almost a year, and I am running Windows 7. Recently a small popup displaying the phrase would appear on my screen and quickly disappear, so quickly that it took me a couple of looks before I was able to read the whole phrase. That doesn’t bother me. What bothers me is something fairly new that I am certain is connected to that popup. Over the last couple of days, my printer would suddenly emit some sounds Mechanical sounds and musical notes) similar to when it starts up. The touch screen, that had been blank because the printer was sitting there inactive for quite a while, appears at the same time. Shortly after the screen goes dark again – until the next occurrence. As I said, this sound and touch screen illumination new.Any ideas what’s happening and how I can stop this annoyance? Thanks.
