Bseg-bldat into  mm/dd/yyyy format ?

Date : mm/dd/yyyy format
I have bsak table’s field bldat … in my program
I have to write into mm/dd/yyyy format
Is there any function module available
Or manually through offsets I have to do ?

Hi,
CONCATINATE bsak-bldat0(4) bsak-bldat4(2) bsak-bldat+6(2) into G_DATE.
so G_DATE will have the format which you are asking ...
if you want to userformat, i mean different users will have different formats in SAP, so if you want user specific format, then
DATA: date type SY-DAtum,
      date1(10).
MOVE:BSAK-BLDAT to DATE.
WRITE: DATE to DATE1.
so in DATE1 filed will have the user format

  • Problems converting FILETIME date/time into MM/DD/YYYY format...

    Has anyone successfully converted a FILETIME date/time value into a MM/DD/YYYY format using ColdFusion? I am failing drastically, and it seems like an easy conversion.
    FILETIME format (details: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms724284(v=vs.85).aspx) is a 64-bit value representing the number of 100-nanosecond intervals since January 1, 1601 (UTC).
    A database I'm working with has such values, and I want to display them in a user-friendly date format within my application.
    For example, one record is:
    13003368600
    The above number represents the following date and time:
    1/22/2013 @ 2:50 PM
    Sadly I know this only because the FILETIME value gets written to the database by a third-party application, and within that application I specify it in the MM/DD/YYYY format.
    Can anyone offer me some guidance, or better yet has anyone accomplished this already and want to share code?

    I did this, on cf9/linux, and it seemed to do the trick:
    <cfscript>
    Long = createObject("java","java.lang.Long");
    Date = createObject("java","java.util.Date");
    fileTimeToEpoch =
    // take pwdLastSet From Active Directory, it's in filetime
    pwdLastSet = JavaCast("long", Long.parseLong("130292682204519505"));
    // take filetime and turn it into epoch/java - 1970/1/1
    // http://www.silisoftware.com/tools/date.php - converted: jan 1, 1970 00:00 -00
    javaTime = JavaCast("long", pwdLastSet - 116444736000000000);
    // convert to milliseconds
    javaTime = JavaCast("long", javaTime / 10000);
    today = JavaCast("string", Date.init(javaTime));
    </cfscript>
    <cfdump var="#pwdLastSet#">
    <cfdump var="#javatime#">

  • Convert date in modal binding table into dd.mm.yyyy format

    DEar ALL,
    i have a date in the modal table, this value is coming from r/3 in yyyymmdd format. But i need to change its format to dd.mm.yyyy. How can i achieve it..i don't want to create my own table...pls suggest
    Regds,
    Anup.

    Hi Anup,
    Is the field that is coming from R/3 of type DATE?
    If yes then the conversion of the date should be automatic, and the display will be according to your locale, user language, browser language.
    You can set the format using
    String date = (new SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yyyy").format(new java.util.Date()));
    Hope this helps.

  • Convert system date into mm-dd-yyyy format

    Hi everyone, I am developing an web application in jsp.In my application when a client enters his information like name,email etc, they are copied into the database.What i need now is at the same time the system date also has to enter into the database in the format mm-dd-yyyy.My application doesn't ask the user to enter the particular date.So immediately after the client clicks the save button along with the information he saved the system date also has to enter into his particular database. Can anyone help me how to program this or give an idea regarding the approach to be followed. Any sample code is highly appreciated.Thanks in advance,

    well, your application collects user entered info at some place (either in a jsp or a servlet or a handler). At this point you have to generate the sysdate in the specified format.
    For example, if its a servlet that collects the user info,
    public void doGet(.........){
       //collect all request parameters
       //code from previous post to generate date in specific format
       //call method to insert all data
    }You will have to import the library classes as shown below in your program.
    import java.util.Calendar;
    import java.util.Date;
    import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;cheers,
    ram.
    PS: Also when your sql statement should use some kind of functions to convert the String to a date value for insertion.
    For example, in Oracle, you would do this,
    insert into test values(to_date('08-24-2005','mm-dd-yyyy'));Here test is a table with one date column.
    The to_date() function converts the string, which is the first argument, to a date and conversion pattern is the second argument.
    Unfortunately I cant help you with this because Iam not so familiar with mysql.
    cheers,
    ram.

  • How to convert JAVA.SQL.DATE date in YYYY/MM/DD format into DD/MM/YYYY

    i am using informix database which accepts date value in the form of DATE format......
    the other part of my application takes date from the field in DD/MM/YYYY format...so i have to convert my java.sql.date in YYYY/MM/DD fromat into DD/MM/YYYY fromat of same type before inserting into db......
    but using parse method in SimpleDateFormat class can get the result only in java.util.date format...
    and also using format method can result only in string conversion........

    i am using informix database which accepts date value in the form of DATE format......Huh?
    Maybe you mean Informix (fronted by JDBC) expects date values as java.sql.Date objects?
    the other part of my application takes date from the field in DD/MM/YYYY format...
    so i have to convert my java.sql.date in YYYY/MM/DD format into DD/MM/YYYY format of same type before inserting into db......I am not sure why you are talking about formats here.
    There is no formatting inherent in a java.util.Date object
    nor in a java.sql.Date object.
    but using parse method in SimpleDateFormat class can get the result only in java.util.date format...
    and also using format method can result only in string conversion........You can easily create a java.sql.Date object from a java.util.Date object.
    String s = "31/12/2010";
    java.util.Date ud = new java.text.SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yyyy").parse(s);
    java.sql.Date sd = new java.sql.Date(ud.getTime());
    ud = sd; // java.sql.Date extends java.util.Date so no conversion is needed

  • How to break range of dates into different months in mm/yyyy format

    See the following eg:
    MaterialNo         Validfrom         ValidTo            RecordNo                    Value
    A100                01.01.2007        13.05.2007       1000                           1150/-
                             14.05.2007       24.08.2007        1001                           1550/-

    Hi Shiva,
    In your Report Program, you can define the field of type sy-datum. And then fill the fields with the date. And then you can extract the rest of it manually by this small and simple lines of code. Once you have the date extracting logic then you can output the date in any manner according to your wish.
    data : lv_date  TYPE sy-datum.
    data : lv_month TYPE c LENGTH 2.
    data : lv_year  TYPE c LENGTH 4.
    data : lv_month_year TYPE c LENGTH 6.
    lv_date = sy-datum.
    lv_month = lv_date+4(2).
    lv_year  = lv_date+0(4).
    CONCATENATE lv_month lv_year INTO lv_month_year.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Samantak.

  • How to print date in dd/MM/yyyy format??

    Hi All,
    I want to print a date in a dd/MM/yyyy format. I am doing like this
    Date d = new Date(23-11-2006); but it is printing
    like Wed Dec 31 18:59:58 EST 1969 .
    Please help me .

    I am doing like this
    Date d = new Date(23-11-2006); but it is
    printing No you're not, because that won't compile. Show us exactly what you're doing and we might be able to help.
    You seem to suggest you want to print a date in a certain format, but then the (pseudo-) code you present seems to suggest you want to be able to parse a date from a given format into a Date object.
    Be clear and specific about exactly what you want, what you have tried, and why it didn't work and then people will be better placed to help! :-)
