BT have blocked .webs domains.

Hi all
I have a website on a .webs subdomain which I can no longer access. I have just been informed this is because BT have blocked .webs subdomains. I have run a route tracer and can confirm the site is being blocked by BT. Having reported this to my domain provider, they have confirmed this is the case and have asked that I contact you in the hopes of resolving the issue. As I understand it a .webs domain was reported by the IWF, but this has no relevance to ALL .webs subdomains, and so you must please unblock them, or I cannot access my website, neither can anyone else which means I am losing money and customers as a result.
My website is http:\pixeliznation.webs.com
All other sites load fine, but this is defiatly being blocked by my ISP, BT.
Please can someone help to remidy the situation?
many thanks in advance.

Hi. Welcome to the forums.
May I ask who said that BT had blocked the webs.com sub domains ?
Apart from the typo in the URL, I can't actually get to your (gaming) site, but I can access it via a proxy by somethng like www.proxify.com
Something seems to be wrong with it at present as I've tried other webs.com sites. However as you've mentioned the IWF - then that is something else altogether.
Are you aware if this affects other users on different ISPs ? If that is the case, then it's not a BT problem I'm afraid.

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

  • Have Homestead Web site want to transfer domain to Iweb

I have a Homestead Web Page account that is not compatable with my Mac, so I want to switch the domain name www.curtisphoto.org to IWEB, how do I do that??? thanks, Ruth

    Hello Ruth,
Please correct me if I got it wrong.
Homestead is the Host of your current website,
and you have your personal domain name linked to your website on Homestead.
You would like to have your website on an other Host,
and link your personal domain name to your website on this new host.
    If so,
Where did you buy your personal domain name ? Is it also at Homestead or an other Registrar ?
Most Registrars let you control your personal domain name via a web interface.
In any case, you would want to have your website up and running on the new Host before you change your personal domain name to the new Host.
Should you encounter any problem with redirecting your personal domain name to your website on the new Host, let us know.
    Kind regards,
    Leo

  • How do I whitelist a Web domain in Internet Explorer 11 (Win 7 OS)?

I want to whitelist a Web domain in Internet Explorer 11. That is, I want a searcher using IE 11 to be able to go to only one website and have all other sites blocked. We are in a public environment and I don't want users going to Facebook, etc. The solution
has to make provision for whitelisting the Web domain in such a way that all URLs below it are not blocked. I thought I had a perfect solution using a PAC file. Next, I want to be able to whitelist two URLs so will need the syntax for that, too. I look
forward to hearing from someone on this topic. I have spent two full days combing the Web for a solution. Thanks.

    Hi,
I want a searcher using IE 11 to be able to go to only one website and have all other sites blocked.
For me, if I only want the user search on one website, then I would set a proxy to 127.0.0.1, then add a proxy extension to bypass the specific web address, as shown below:
If you want to configure PAC file, then I would suggest to the following two guide to create the pac, anyway, a pac is more flexible.

  • Why do you block my domain & Blogg? There is nothing there that is dangerous for anyone. Besides, you are the only internett browser that is blocking it.

I wonder why you block my domain and my homepage/blogg. This site don't contain anything dangerous at all. It is only about me, my family and friends. You are THE ONLY BROWSER that block it. And I wonder why you do it.

  • SSL VPN message "This (client) machine does not have the web access privilege."

    Hello!
I am trying to configure the SSL VPN (WebVPN) and I am almost done but when clicking on the URL's I configured in the bookmarks, I get the message "This (client) machine does not have the web access privilege. Please contact your SSLVPN provider for assistance." I looked through the many tutorials and guides in existence and none talks about such error and the fix for it. In fact, if I search the net for this error message I get only one match, in the Cisco website, where is say that "The client computer does not meet the security criteria of having web access functionality through the SSL VPN gateway." and as fix it gave this tip "Check the URL to the gateway or contact the administrator if it persists." So, nothing on the website about what this issue is and how to fix it. I will provide my IOS configuration and hopefully someone will spot the issue. Here it goes:

  • WRT54G2 and WRT54G locks-up (freezes) when blocking web sites using Access Restrictions

I am convinced that a few Linksys routers such as WRT54G2 and WRT54G have a major issue when blocking web sites using Access Restrictions (Internet Access Policy). After a few hours of internet access by 15 wired users the Linksys locks-up and blocks all internet web access. The only solution is to restart the power on the router.
We are currently using a Linksys WRT54G2 v1 (firmware 1.0.04). We upgraded the WRT54G2 v1 firmware to the latest 1.0.04 version which did not resolve the issue.  NOTE: We were previosuly using a a Linksys WRT54G v1.1 (firmware 4.21.1) until the power supply blew a week after we started blocking web sites using Access Restrictions (Internet Access Policy).
Basically, we have a T1 internet connection and a hub connected to the Linksys router. We are trying to block several web sites such as facebook, myspace, etc. for 15 wired users. We do not use wireless connections.
This is the 2nd time it happened with 2 different models.
    Please help ASAP.
    Thank you,
    Lance
(Mod note: Edited post. Some parts off topic.. Thanks!)

Also,  you have already upgrade/re-flash the firmware of your Linksys Router you need to reset and reconfigure your router from scratch. Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

    Hi,
Actually Arnavsharma provided a operable method for you. But no luck, it's not invalid.
Here I also offer you an method you can try. Please delete the extra (parasite) zone from the Zones subkey :
Click Start , click Run , type regedit , and then click OK
    Expand the following registry subkey
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones
Delete the extra (parasite) zone from the Zones subkey
Note: The parasite zone is a pseudo-graphic number listed before zone number 0. The pseudo-graphic number looks like a miniature upper case "L"
    Close the registry editor
    Thanks!

I used to have a web page in mobile me and now is closed.  How can I get my webpage data back?

Your web pages on MobileMe have been deleted. If you were using iWeb you wouldn't have been able to open them anyway.
As long as you have the iWeb 'Domain' file in your user Library, or whatever the program you are using stores the information in, on your Mac you can publish to another hosting service - there are plenty to choose from. More information here:

  • From external: block all domains except one MAPPINGS file?

    Here's the problem...
I have an old domain that my mailserver is still authoritive for. We receive mail through a mail ISP cluster, in that sense that our internal mailserver does not have any MX-records associated with it. All MX-records point to the ISP.
We have recently changed domain name because of a merger.
I am still rewriting all RCPT TO: [user]@olddomain.com to RCPT TO: [user]@newdomain.com in imta config.
I now want to end that rewriting using the mappings file for all except but one domain.
So the end result should be:
MAIL FROM: all domains -> [user]@olddomain.com REJECT $Netc......
    but!
MAIL FROM: specific domain -> [user]@olddomain.com should still be passed on to the IMTA.
I have used SEND_ACCESS before as a method of blocking mail, but this is specific... I want to block the whole world except one originating domain (for the old domain)
Does anyone have a working example of this and could you provide it for me?
    TIA
    Eli

    Jay :-)
We have reinstalled iPlanet Messaging Server 5.2 on Windows Server using all new servername FQDN and all new domain hosting for.
    FQDN: mail.new-domain.local
    Mail authoritive for: new-domain.com
Server is located on the LAN and gets it's mail from an ISP using mailkick.
Server is actually not aware (neither in MX, nor in LDAP records) of the old domain.
The only way the server gets it's mail is through smart-hosting. It just works and acts as a new server. Mail for the old-domain.com (organization) is accepted because I rewrite the domain part of the old-domain.com to new-domain.com
    old-domain.com $U%[email protected]
Server accepts mail from all sending/origination domains only for the TO: new-domain.com it is authoritive for.
Now here is the catch... I want to disable the TO: domain-rewriting, because people need to use the new-domain when addressing us.
There is still only ONE organization out there that needs to address the old-domain.com because of X.509 encrypted mail. This is the only domain I will do rewriting for.
Hence is why I was looking at the SEND_ACCESS
It has some ways of blocking part of a sender or address part of a enveloppe based on wildcards etc....
    Yet only blocking....
How do I block the whole world except that old organization we still do business with. Mail for the old domain is also delivered through the same mailkick by ISP.
So if whole world -> [some user]@old-domain.com REJECT
    and
single organization -> [some user]@old-domain.com ACCEPT and continue REWRITING
Hope I shed a bit more light on the subject....

I am trying to access it using IE 11, but also tried it in chrome and it is saying "The Plugin is not supported".
I have updated Java, went into the Java control panel > Security tab > Added the printers IP address to the exception list. I still get this error. Can't turn the Java security lower than High anymore....there just isn't an option for it. I have had this happen on multiple printers before, and Google hasn't helped so far, figured I would ask you all while I continue my search.
    Anyone else run into this?

I'm not sure anyone here knows more about the Java plugin than you do...
Were you starting the control panel from disk as administrator because it didn't work starting it through the Start menu (if you have Control Panel set to View by Category, the Java control panel is under "Programs").

  • I have a web site built by Yahoo Web Site Builder which does not have a Mac version, is there any compatability between Iweb and the old Yahoo program?

I have a web site built by Yahoo Web Site Builder which does not have a Mac version, is there any compatability between Iweb and the old Yahoo program? If not how do I clear off the old site so as to re publish with Iweb.

iWeb cannot import published files so you would need rebuild the site.
Yahoo hosting is notoriously poor and their tech support is awful. I would suggest you look for new hosting and start afresh. Some pointers for choosing hosting...

If you do choose to go this route, transfer your domain name registration away from Yahoo to your new host.

With the site on display, click on the site identity button (for details on what that is see [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Site+Identity+Button]) and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Images+or+animations+do+not+show
Some add-ons can also block images, for example if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block the images.

  • Use only IP-number and skip web domain name?

I have a Mac Mini Server and I am about to order an external firewall device. The firewall will be used with vpn to get access to the server from the internet. Access to the server will only be for my colleages . The server should not be accessible for other people at all (e.g., no public website, etc).
Here comes my newbie question…is it possible to only use my static public IP number to get access to the server through vpn? Do I really need a a web domain name?
Do I really need to get dns involved on the outside?
At the moment I am using my servers Wiki and blog by typing in the IP-number in the browsers address field. It would be fine with with me to continue with that.

Sure. if you can remember your IP address you can use that anywhere. DNS exists because there are literally millions of IP addresses out there and human brains are better at remembering words (e.g. 'discussions.apple.com') than they are numbers (e.g. '64.212.100.59').
Do I really need to get dns involved on the outside?
Since it's only you and your colleagues, not at all.

It's also not hard to setup a local DNS for your internal systems - once you're connected to VPN you'd automatically start using the internal DNS server and would be able to use memorable names, but it's entirely your choice.

  • I have blocked plug-in.  I cannot download Adobe flashplayer

I have blocked plug-in. Cannot download Adobe Flashbplayer.  cannot access bridgebase.com

    Hello eadesgirl,
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you are experiencing a "blocked plugin" message on your Mac when viewing certain web sites.
To address this situation, be sure to follow the steps mentioned here:
Adobe Flash Player updates available for OS X on December 12, 2014 - Apple Support
If you're using an out-of-date version of the Adobe Flash Player plug-in, you may see the message “Blocked plug-in,” “Flash Security Alert,” or “Flash out-of-date” when attempting to view Flash content in Safari.
Clicking the indicator displays a message that Adobe Flash Player is out-of-date:
To continue viewing Flash content, update to a later version of Adobe Flash Player:
Click the Download Flash button. Safari opens the Adobe Flash Player page on the Adobe website.
Follow the instructions on the Adobe website to download and install the latest version of the plug-in.
If you need to use an older version of Flash Player, you can use Internet plug-in management in Safari to run the plug-in in unsafe mode for websites that you trust.
Contact Adobe if you need help downloading, installing, or using Adobe Flash Player.
    Sincerely,
    Jeremy
