BT SmartTalk - Adding extra users

Well, I set it up on my Android with no problems. But I've hit a brick wall with my wife's.
Downloaded app OK and logged in to bt.com. It says that an account has already been set up on a different device and that service needs to be stopped before I can proceed. No way round this. Called the SmartTalk helpline and got a very helpful agent with whom I went through re-installation and checking online. Same result.
We eventually agreed that the system was reading the second phone as an attempt to set up an account rather than add a user, and we could find no options in the app or online to change this. The agent is arranging for a technician to call back tomorrow, and agreed that I could come to the forum meanwhile to see if any of the triallists or other users can throw any light on this. It's early days I know, but has anyone got some advice?

Erm, having issues too with my wife's set up
Did it all on her android phone, set everything up (new MyBT), had the automated landline call, waited for the text message (with the pin)
But left the app open, is this right? but then the phone froze
Phone started to respond so quickly exited the app.
Waited a little longer and had the pin come through, opened the app, typed in 4 digit pin - app says pin incorrect
Tried a few times, gives the same message (wrong pin or too many times) and the phone gets another text, with another pin!
The app yet again states that this pin is also incorrect and I need to wait an hour before I can try again.
That's it, I'm done with this already so I will uninstall the app on her phone, but how do I delete the newly created account?

  • Adobe CS5 adding extra code to an uneditable section of the page?

    I have a website that was created in Dreamweaver and has editable regions set for other people to manage the content using Contribute. The main author of the website is using Contribute CS5, and it is adding extra code to an uneditable region of the page (as defined in the template), which messes up the layout of the header and footer. Can anyone help me figure out why this is happening and how to fix it?
    I have edited the page successfully through my version of Contribute, which is 6.5--it does not add that extra junk into the code.
    The solution, might be to move my user over to 6.5, but I want to find out why it is happening, before we spend any additional money on the program.

  • Adding extra computers - confusing pricing

    Hi All,
    I have a new workstation and would like to add the $9.95 LR and PS package but whenever I click on this option I go through to a screen which says adding a user is $69.
    I already havet he Creative Cloud on 2 computers.  Ideally I would like to do two things:
    1. downgrade one computer to just run LR and PS
    2. add an extra computer to use LR and PS
    Any help?  Everything I try takes me back to the same screen which says an extra 'seat' is $69??

    The Adobe ID that is provided in the forums has two CC under it.
    1. CC for individual
    2. CC for Team
    The reason that you unable to buy Photography CC is because of this.
    You can buy it with another Email ID.
    You can contact Adobe sales or reseller for best option suitable for you.

      I am implementing Forgot Password functioanlity or link in my Portal ( SAP EP7.0).I am getting "Logon Problem ? Get Support " link in my Portal welcome page.When I am clicking this link ,I am getting pop up asking me to enter user id and mail id.Everything is working fine.
    But my real concern is I want to customise the message display in case wrong user id or mail id or wrong question answer.
    The current message displaying as "User information incorrect. Cannot send e-mail with new password" and I want to display it as
    "User information incorrect. Cannot send e-mail with new password ,Please contact your Administrator"
    If I will tell in one sentence ,I want to customise the message display by adding extra text
    For example: "User information incorrect. Cannot send e-mail with new password"
    Requirements:"User information incorrect. Cannot send e-mail with new password ,Please contact your Administrator "

    Hi,
    Until you have only played around with the layout of the logon page and not the actual code then you will be able to use this property. There are bits of code in the logon par which retreives these values.
    For eg you can see the below if statement in the logon page to determine if logon help has to be displayed. This is part of standard logo page so if you have not removed this in your custom one everything should work just fine.

    I am having full control access to SharePoint site. Then i tried add user for that site.

    This could be any one of a number of things.  You need to lookup the Correlation ID in the ULS logs on the SharePoint server.  That should provide the additional information necessary to diagnose and solve the problem.  Here's a blog post

  • Added a user account, now my iMac is acting up.

    Added a user account simply for a second iTunes library and so no crossover with contacts, favorites, etc. would occur on the family's iPhones. The first problem I noticed is when waking the display from sleep, the screen saver being used will be frozen on the screen and you have to use the mouse to "uncover" the user accounts. Over the past week or so, my problems have gotten worse... The pinwheel will appear for 10+ minutes while doing something as simple as searching for a document, many of the files on my desktop disappeared (luckily i had them backed up), and the computer will freeze with no recovery, forcing me to do a hard shut down (eek!). All software/hardware is up to date, I have repaired my permissions several times, and I even deleted my windows partition. The computer is hardly ever under a great amount of stress.. The most it is doing at one time is having a web browser or two open, mail, iCal, and iTunes. Could this all be because of an empty user account? I have plenty of room to spare on the computer and I haven't done anything drastic to the computer lately... Any insight would be appreciated.

    Tell us about the actual Mac. What model? What version of Mac OS X? Is all the software up-to-date? Does it have 3rd party RAM? Is your LAN wired or wireless? Etc, etc, etc.

  • How do I eliminate an extra user account i never wanted to create?

    I recently reformatted and reinstalled and re-set up my whole system, and even though I thought i was beng careful to set up as lean a system as possible, I somehow ended up with an extra, unidentified user account at my login screen. I normally log in automatically at startup, but whenever I need to logout and log back in, there's this annoying extra user log in, that, up until this time, I've never had to deal with, as I'm the only one using my computer.  I can't get rid of the blasted thing no matter what I've tried, and there seems to be no documentation covering this mystery, either.  Anybody else run into this problem before, and how did you give this extra user account the boot?

    Those 2 folders are normal, and Aliases.

  • How to copy my data as an extra user on another machine while on the road?

    Hi,
    Am going on the road for a while, but do not want to bring my valuable MacBook Pro. So I copied my home-directory to the old iBook of my mother as an extra user and I copied her stuff to mine, using SilverKeeper from LaCie, the same software I use to make back-ups with.
    But apparently it is not that simple. I can login as the other user on the respective computers and all the data is there, but the system does not know that the data is actually linked to the respective users. I get errors that I don't have the priviliges to access that data.
    I need to do something extra to tell the machine that that new user I created is the same as the one who owns the data, but what? Something scary in NetInfo Manager? Could you hold my hand by pointing me to or writing me some instructions?
    Surprisingly, no issues similar to mine in the first 100 postings I saw in this forum...
    It goes without saying that in a few weeks I want to synchronise the machines again and all should work as before.

    From an administrator account, open the Terminal in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and run the following:
    sudo chown -R username
    where username is the short name of the account you created. Next, drag the home folder into the Terminal window, press Enter, and provide your password; nothing will appear in the Terminal window while the password is being typed. Before pressing Enter, ensure that there are no extraneous characters on the line.

  • Adding a user to file permissions doesn't work in Lion.

    Using "Get Info", after unlocking, when I add a user, nothing happens. Sometimes, repeatedly unlocking, adding the user, then re-locking yields success. Very annoying! Is this a known bug? Is there a fix?

    Because your drop shadow is 27mm to the right of the object. Zoom out and you'll see it. Change the x offset to .27cm instead of 2.7cm in the drop shadow dialog box.

  • Migration Assistant. extra User, double the files - only 10 GB left on HD

    I restored my system after a login "freeze", following an upgrade from Leopard to Snow Leopard.  Apple help advised to use Migration Assistant to back up everything from Time Machine.  Now I have an extra user ID (as they said I would) but the file structure doubled!  This leaves me only 10GB on a 500GB drive - which I read is not good.  Do I wipe the drive and start over but instead restore files one by one, or do I delete all the files in the new user ID, or is there some other idea I should consider?  It appears there are dups of all the files from user to user, but I fear they are linked and deleting one will delete the other.  Help.

    Yes, because your machine came with 10.5, there is a free iLife suit on the 10.5 disks that is not on the 10.6.3 retail disks.
    BTW the 10.6.3 disks have the full 10.6 on it too, just no iLife. So you could have installed 10.6.3, Software Updated and installed another iLife if you needed it.  A option to keep in mind for the future if the 10.5 disk no longer boots.
    Last question ( for now;), what about apps I've downloaded (no disks)?
    You need to download new copies from original sources. Your basically rebuilding your machine from the ground up to be reliable. If you have licenses, just email the developer and tell them your TM drive got screwed up, you had to rebuild your machine from scratch and need a new license code.
    Programs need to be installed in most cases with the developers installer as they can place files in certain locations on your computer, including copy protection methods etc.
    Once you have your brand new pristine system, then clone that to a couple of new blank external drives, date them, leave one as original, the other you set to update by tweaking CCC's settings to clone/backup according to your preferences.

  • Why is the calendar adding extra alerts?

    I just got my first Iphone and the calendar is adding extra alerts. I'm using a Google calendar which I have used for years with WebOS, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone. This only started happening when I switched to the Iphone, so I'm certain that it's the Iphone causing it.
    If I create an event on the Iphone, it will add the extra alert straight after. I literally just created an event with one alert at the time of the event. Straight after creating it I checked the event details and there is a second alert 1 hour before.
    If I create an event on www.google.com/calendar, it will add the extra alert after the Iphone has synchronised the calendar. Before that synchronisation the event alerts are unchanged.
    Most of the time it's adding a second alert 1 hour before the event time, although I have one instance where it also added a third alert 50.9 minutes before the event time.

    I don't find it hard to use at all.

    iTunes added extra time to a track after transferring the song from my computer.  What do I do to to transfer the song correctly and remove the extra (several minutes) of dead air that iTunes added to the end of the track?

    First of all, let me confirm exactly what you are doing.
    I notice you say iTunes is not recognising the change. So when you play the song in iTunes, it does not stop at the new time you've entered, is this correct? Or
    is it playing okay in iTunes, but not on your iPod? If this is what's happening, you have Synced your iPod after the change, haven't you? (Any changes you make in iTunes while the iPod is connected to iTunes will almost certainly not be activated on the iPod until you do another Sync.)
    (If you manually manage the music on your iPod, you will need to remove the track from the iPod and then put it back on again. Putting it back on should cause the newly revised stop time to be on your iPod.)
    So if your stop time is shown (in iTunes) as 2:52, but the track is not stopping at that time - in iTunes - then I suggest you do a repair of iTunes. To repair iTunes, download iTunes and go through the instal procedure. (Do not delete or remove the existing iTunes.) Once the instal procedure sees the existing iTunes, you should see an option to either repair or start new, choose the repair option.
    I've had to use the repair iTunes option myself, a few weeks ago, and it fixed the issue I was having. Can't remember what the issue was though!
    Finally, if the track plays okay in iTunes but not on the iPod after a new Sync, the only thing I can suggest is a Restore of your iPod. This will remove everything from the iPod and the next Sync put back what it finds in your library. If you manually manage, you will need to put everything back on yourself.

    The installation was done with a local user or with a domain user?
    You know that BPC server can not be in the same time also domain controler.
    Are you using Windows authentication or CMS authentication.
    If you are using CMS authentication then again you can not add local users.
    If you are using Windows authentication then you have to go into server Manager
    Options - Define System User Groups
    Domain Type - Local Windows
    System User Group Name - Local Users.
    If you are using Windows 2008 make sure you addrole to have compatibility with IIS 6.because using this module bpc is adding new users.

  • Adding mail users from Portal 'sign me up' facility

    When users access the Portal for the first time, they have the opportunity to sign up as new users.
    This will create their user id and they can then access IM or Calendar quite happily.
    They can't, however, access mail. Adding mail users appears only to be possible via the command line tools. This essentially means that it's not practical to have users sign themselves up!
    Is there any integration module/howto out that describes how to let users sign up to mail and the other services and not just an inconvenient subset?

    If you create a Mail service (have a look at the sample one provided with Identity Server 6.1 in /opt/SUNWam/samples/integration) you can specify default values for the relevant attributes, then specify that the service you create is a required service in the organization your users area being created in.
    Haven't tried it myself but it should work.

    I have 6 out of 10 licenses assign and I added another user, assign him "roles" and now I need to assign a internal netpoint license token to the user. How is this done? It's been a while.

    Hi Scott,
    I assume you have Current Licensed Users: 6/ Total User Licenses: 10 and you want to add a licensed user role to a new user in web tools.
    If this is your question then go to Business Partner --> Users --> select the user --> Security --> Roles --> add the licensed user and roles from the dropdown menu.
