Bug in childrenNames() api for Preference class?

Hi,
The following code trhrows an Illegal Argument Exception.

Is this a BUG in java?
My requirement is that I have many NODES under the root node of user preferences(userRoot).I want the list of nodes, for futher processing.How do i retrieve them?

The preferences module uses base64 for keys which have special character in them. This includes '.'
You have a preference key it thinks is in base64 but is not. Have a look at the files in your user prefences to see if they are all okay.

Javadocs / APIs for Jdeveloper classes - Where?

Probably a dumb question. Where can we find the API definitions for JDeveloper class (ie JUNavigationBar, EntityObject, EntityRow, EntityView, etc)

Can anyone please tell me where i can find a detailed description (constructor and methods summary) for the utility classes in Java 3d. The sun's API specification doesn't give all the details. Just says what the class is for! Thanks

Where can I find the javadoc api for JavaConcurrentProgram related classes

I am new to Oracle EBS. I want to use Java Concurrent Program. I found a few links how to write the program. But I could not find the java doc for the classes that are used, for example, JavaConcurrentProgram, CpContext etc. Would someone please tell me where I can find the javadoc api for those classes? And also where do the corresponding jar file/files reside on the server?

I read both of metalinks before. One is example and the other is FAQ. None of them have link to the javadoc api for the JavaConcurrentProgram related classes. I am looking for the javadoc api for the classes related to the java concurrent program. I did find some javadoc api for class like oracle.apps.fnd.common.Context from jdeveloper. But I could not find any javadoc api for oracle.apps.fnd.cp.request.* and oracle.app.fnd.util.* etc.

Understanding method implementation for LinkedList class

I'm new to java and just trying to get my head around data structures, particularly ArrayList and LinkedList implementations. I've looked at the Sun API for both classes, but would like to see how the methods are implmented so I can venture into writing my own versions of these classes..
Does anyone know if there is a resource showing the full method implementation so I can view how they work?

PLSQL API for Voiding Physical Inventory Tags.

Where are the JavaDocs for the Thor.API.Operations.XXClient classes?

I am not seeing any of the JavaDocs for the actual Client classes that should be available for use in OIM. The Interfaces are nice but without documentation of the Client classes we are left to guess how to use the Interfaces.
Has anyone developed some guidelines on how to use the ReportOperationsClient class? I did the following:
Defined all of the inputs for the ReportInput class constructor.
Created the ReportInput instance with these inputs.
Set the stored procedure name.
Created an instance of ReportOperationsClient
Called getPagedReportData with my ReportInput instance.
No luck.

As I described in my original post, and as you can plainly see, there is a Client class that is the "worker" class for each of the Interfaces. Without these worker classes, we would be at our own devices to determine how to implement these Interfaces, so I am thankful they are being provided, but the issue is that I am needing documentation for them, since specifically the ReportOperationsClient does not seem to work based on my interpretation of the Interface.
Thanks for your interest. If the source code for the Operations Clients does not have embedded JavaDocs, that would explain the issue. In that case I would need to have the source code so I can troubleshoot the issues I am having with this class. I opened an SR Friday but have not had any response yet.

Incorrect ClassDoc for nested classes

I think there is a bug in Javadoc concerning nested classes ClassDoc records extracted through the doclet API.
In particular, ClassDoc records are correct if the container class is directly specified on the command line as a .java file or part of a package (i.e. the source is available), but they are (at times) wrong if the records are built from .jar (.class) files through the classpath.
Example with "java.io.ObjectOutputStream" from JDK 1.3.1_01:
If the ClassDoc for this class comes from RootDoc.specifiedClasses(), its nested classes are correctly listed as:

This behaviour seems common to both Javadoc 1.3.1_01 and 1.4beta3. I admit I didn't test 1.4 final, but I searched the Javadoc site, the forum and the bug database without finding anything similar.

Java API for running entire ".sql" files on a remote DB ( mySQL or Oracle)?

Would anyone happen to know if there's a java API for executing entire ".sql" files (containing several different SQL commands), on a remote database server ?
It's enough if the API works with MySQL and/or Oracle.
Just to demonstrate what i'm looking for:
Suppose you've created sql file "c:/test.sql" with several script lines:

I need urgent help in business catalyst SOAP api for [Product_UpdateInsert] operation.

Hi Everyone, I am new in Business Catalyst, but, my company is working with BC for a while. I have a task to import external data (such as catalogue, products, orders, shopping cart etc) to business catalyst native tables via SOAP api. I am able to use "Product_ListRetrieve" function that gave me products from BC. Now I want to insert and update product list, for which the api call is "Product_UpdateInsert". I am not being able to feed in even a single record. I need any code (jquery, php, javascript, java etc) as a sample, that works with SOAP api for this function. It is very urgent. Please help me. Thanks in advance. I have tried with the code below, but I am getting bugs (format not valid):

Hi BCMan, Thanks for replying. Yes, the error is from BC side. The format was invalid. I fixed the issue today. Actually, I was pushing data from my PHP server to BC host system using SOAP api. I am still getting format errors, but I am able to insert data into products table.
One more question if you don't mind. Is it possible to use JQuery/Javascript to push data into BC tables in real time (while browsing products table) using customized pages? There are documents to solve this. However, I could not find examples of how I could fetch data from JSON file using JQuery and then populate products/catalog/order tables.

ABAP API for KM ??

Hi guys,
I have seen a couple threads in this forum regarding the ABAP API for KM but nothing concrete as yet. Also alot of the links seem to be non existent now ;-(
If I go onto our SAP system and go to SE24 I can see a good couple classed related to KM by typing something like CL_KMC*.....
But what is the recommended approach to take? In my scenario I have an ABAP Webdynpro and I need to both UPLOAD and DOWNLOAD files to KM......
Should I generate a web service proxy in ABAP that consumes the standard KM web services? Do these web services even allow me to upload and download file to and from the KM area? I believe there is a KM Proxy layer in ABAP ?
Has anyone got some more information on this???

I think I will just do the work in Java Webdynpro and use the KM API. It is a pity because I would much rather do it in ABAP Webdynpro, it just seems like nobody has really done it or documented it well...

To answer your question specifically
Using ABAP api you cannot call MDM workflows as of mdm 5.5 there are no functions specific to calling MDM workflows in ABAP.If you want to implement workflows on ABAP side you need to go for SAP ECC workflows which is a different topic than MDM>
To call MDM workflows over the Java stack ie WAS (SAP portal),You have 2 ways
- UWL
- Guided Procedures.
- UWL is a way of calling MDM workflows on EP.Wherein the workflow design will be done in MDM and it will only be called in portal using appropiate connections and configurations.
